Use our rumours form to send us leeds transfer rumours.

Are we safe? I'm not convinced yet? But agree if we are, then any club wth any sense for bringing youth on would use it as a valuable blooding time for our promising youngsters.

agree quite happy not to see murphy or bell play again this season, contravierally I would still play wood as I think he will be our main man next season, and his form has been bad but he is still top scorer this season. I hope SE is smart enough to realise that wood needs a strike partner and ant plays best with someone else

4-4-2 silvertri/ peacock, taylor, bardi/ coyle, cooper, bamba/ vann

caroloy, phillips/ cook, mowatt/ bridcutt, dallas

wood, ant

for me is the best way forward and at very least worth a shot, how many games has se had to change things and when he does we have played better? he needs to learn.

By my reckoning we are safe from the drop (not mathematically but realistically) .
Lets experiment a bit with the young talent we have coming through, see how they respond to first team action. We know how good (or bad) the regular first team players are so why not give an extended run to some others. Peacock Farrell, Botaka, Erwin etc. No point playing the same team and not finding whether or not the others can cut it in this league - surely that would help out any new manager in the summer (or Evans if he stays) with who to keep or get rid. Been a Leeds supporter for over 50 years and just want to see them trying to get back to where we once were, this mid table mediocrity is doing my head in. let's at least have a go at the top six next season and start the building job NOW.

MOT.

Your post is logical reasonable and sensible.
It is for the same reasons your wishes won't happen. Remember who owns us. It's not just the Mad Hatter. It's GFH too. Can't see us making a real play for the PL until beginning of new decade.

Evanshas already gone back on his promise to give the youngsters a go in the first team. After the Bolton game he said on WYS he would give the youngsters a go, however last week he was questioning the attitude of players in the under 21 squad and said they were not showing enough commitment desire to play for the first team. My question is what has changed in 4 weeks?

That's such a depressing thought George. Mad he may be, but you don't get as rich as him without having a bit of business sense. I'm thinking he may invest to get to the cash mountain of the premier league, I think 10 million would suffice, and the rewards would be ten fold, even if it meant giving gfh their pound of flesh .

Mr Evans has strong opinions on whether a number of players are good enough to grace our first team, the problem is a lot of the one's he does think are good enough do not demonstrate this on the pitch. this leads me to think, is Mr Evans good enough to make these decisions!

Cellino obviously is a fine businessman but he knows he is saddled with GFH, the FL and probable bans. It's all about timing. Any push toward PL will be done on his time, not ours. I can see him cashing in on the kids spinning it on player disloyalty and in a few years once GFH have weakened and the FL are no longer after his hide he will probably go for it. Imo that will be approximately year 2020.

Unfortunately we are NOT safe from relegation, whether you think optimistically or logically and until that moment happens, I for one don't want to see anything other than our strongest team being played in any game. Especially when we have Steve (it ain't over till the fat man sings) Evans in charge of the team?

So many times we have seen Evans spouting out about this player, or that player, and stick with players who are gifting games to the opposition?

Lets get the points we need, and then ditch the WHOLE team and pull in the academy players to show what they can do.?

I don't want to see Leeds back in the first division just because 'someone' was brave enough to give the younger players a chance and then put the blame for the whole season on their shoulders.

For George - I hope you are wrong about Cellino selling our young players, but I am not going to hold my breath.

. at least not until 2020!

Maybe the best answer would be ask Edward Woodwood to see if he would give you any ideas about what would happen.
