I'm not sure if that works mathematically? Fulham currently 5 points behind us with 5 games remaining, so there is a further 15 to play for. even if we win and Fulham lose that's only a gap of 8 points with 12 still possible? or have i miscalculated?

This is the optimist's view,3 more points v Wolves. Then to catch Hudders.

Alf, won't we have played two games by this time next week, or is it Whitesee's calculation you're disagreeing with?

We also play Monday, so we have played 2 games by this time next week which is 6 points if Fulham lose both like the original poster is obviously meaning then we will be 11 points ahead with 3 games remaining.

Morning guys! Bit concerned about the tone of Andreas latest tweet about support the boys time for talks and decisions in June! To me that says forget about the manager support the players we will make a decision on whether we want to keep Garry or not we are in charge just stick to supporting the players! or am I being too paranoid (part of being a leeds fan) I think it will be a huge huge mistake if our owners let him go in summer regardless of if we get promoted or not sounds like Massimo dithering and influencing The Rad

Radz is right more important things to concentrate on at the moment no point in distracting players/manager. Admittedly should have sorted things sooner but bigger fish to fry at the moment

Honestly I think they probably all already know what is going to happen. i'd be amazed if we didn't try to keep monk and monk will probably want to stay, unless a prem team comes knocking, if we don't go up. I wouldn't look to much into that, but yeah agree shouldn't have got to this stage of contract talks again, we always do it!

Most teams do a manager assessment at the end of the season, so this will be a manager assessment and a 4-5 year contract extension

Monk loves this club, no manager says 'we have s plan and I'm glad to see 'the boys' working hard if he didn't have ambition. He's a good manager and will one day be bigger than the club, however for now it is crucial that we keep him for both parties, he wants to improve his managerial record and we want premier league success, so it makes sense both ways, I agree with curahee

Think of it from Monk's point of view. His negotiating position will be majorly different depending on whether we have achieved promotion or not. Contracts are about more than just 'Do I have a job and for how long'. Terms and conditions include things such as salary and influence on player purchases. Post season will be the best time for this process.

I duave thought these some sort of agreement already in place by now. Kiwi is right. There's probably something along the lines of he will be there next season, but how many zeros are added to his wage depends on the end of may

Monk won't want to take 200 grand a year if we go up same as club won't want to pay 2 mill a year if still in championship. Common sense to sort it at end of season.
