why not put bruce as holding mid i think would make mid much more solid good solid player

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Why don't we put Bruce beside kisnorbo at the back untill obrien gets his fittness back

Agree0 Disagree0

Because bruce is week player and poor on the ball often finds himself out of position and isn't vocal enough time for him to be sold

Just read on the transfer rumours site that Fulham are preparing a 9.5 million pound double bid for Gradel and Howson, will Bates be able to resist if its true? I think not,hes always maintained that if the price is right he will sell,so looks like 9.5 million in the coffers, and more freebies coming in,our team is being dismantled bit by bit,if they go expect Snoddy to be close behind, then well need a Mourinho to get a team together, worrying times ahead methinks.

Believable3 Unbelievable5

I doubt this will happen, but I expressed months ago my fears of losing a big name player prior to the transfer window ending. We haven't got a big enough squad as it is, so imagine something like two players going at the end of August.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not gona happen is it

There is only one reason why we are not splashing the cash and it is one of these four.
You make your own mind up which.
1. Pappa Smurph is taking the pi** out of SG (because he's got a side bet with his Chelsea mates about how long he can make him look like a muppet before he walks) This is because SG stopped saying "Yes" so Bates no longer feels he is the right man for the job and besides he's going to fire him because he wants to bring in one of his Chelsea mates.
2. Pappa Smurph is banking the money and doesn't want to invest so he can sell & take the loot with him in some suspicious looking suitcases marked "Cayman Islands"
3. Pappa Smurph is ploughing all the dosh into the Lovely East Stand (which he doesn't own...honest) so that he can sell the club, increase the rent for the new buyer and sell it back to the club for a very high amount due to the new redevelopments (which he doesn't own.....honest).
4. He couldn't care less because he's bigger than the club. Him and his Chelsea mates are having such a laugh watching him bo[[occks the club up and besides he's gonna do all of the above anyway.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Can't be 1 or 4 as he doesn't have any Chelski mates. The main contact he's had with Chelski over last few years is trying to sue them...that is when they weren't trying to sue him that is.

Also it's spelt Smurf

Protest outside ER keep KB in power SG out Starting at 1pm match day

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Why would anyone want to keep that chelsea person in our beloved club??

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope you got that the wrong way round or don't bother turning up bates out grayson staying put

Agree0 Disagree0

Not doing the team any good . Give it a rest.

Agree0 Disagree0

Muppet

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you a scumchester fan? only reason you would post that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you out of your mind-keep bates in and get rid of Grayson - that's the complete opposite of what should be done , bates will be the ruin of Leeds despite what some fools who still have the Rose tinted glasses on for that old self interested dinosaur who's only consideration is filling his own pockets {Ed001's Note - I am beginning to wonder if it is his son or grandson posting as it is one guy on a crusade.}

Agree0 Disagree0

To Those planing to protest against Bates:
Refering to Bates as 'Chelsea' just shows ignorance as he has spent the last 5 years fighting them in court battles. Also You can't get Bad Santa out as he owns the club, it would be a pointless protest only likely to make the stubborn old goat dig his heels in further. It could even discourage investers from dipping their hands in their wallets

To those planning to protest against Grayson: What are you hoping to achieve? Bad Santa wont sack him just cause afew idiots are chanting outside the ground, all you would be doing is heaping further pressure on SG and the players.Do you really think that's a better idea than getting behind them?

Remember the name of the club is United. MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

What kind of Leeds fan are you protesting were that guna get you no were. Seen as Leeds united are not in the papers for anything I realy doubt your protest will kick off it will be a flop

Agree0 Disagree0

We could do without fans like you. its about getting behind the team and manager no matter who they are.

Agree0 Disagree0

How about not protesting against anyone and getting behind the team

Who is the mystery new striker

Believable0 Unbelievable1

11 Aug 2011 18:20:47
Based on our performances to date, my side for Saturday would be:

Lonergan, Lees, O'Dea, Kisnorbo, White;
Snodgrass, Howson, Clayton, Gradel;
Nunez;
Paynter

Subs:
Rachubka; Sam, McCormack, Brown; Bromby:

O'Brien needs to get his fitness levels up

Believable1 Unbelievable5

McCormack or Painter, McCormack by a mile.

Agree0 Disagree0

How can you include Paynter, good grief,if they gave him a ball on his own he wouldnt score, you must be from the same school as SG who sees no evil hears no evil, the guy just isnt up to it,Mac has the ability to score given the right service, bet you like Smith and all eh.

Agree0 Disagree0

Paynter is injured and s**t.. i would go with mccormack and nunez up front

Agree0 Disagree0

Paynter??? have a day off mate what made you put him in the team, cant even score 1 on 1. paynter needs to go

Agree0 Disagree0

I think if paynter gets a goal and some of the Leeds fans get off his back and give him a chance he will play better. Sure look at his record at Swindon plus he was out injured for most of last season so just give him a bit of support and I'm sure he will start playing well

Agree0 Disagree0

McCormack has now scoed 3 in last 4 competetive games wheras Billy-Bob Paynter could score in a brothel with a pocketful of fiftys

just one thought to back up the fact that it has to be bates who owns the club.......how can he claim that he doesnt know who owns the club - what kind of investor or owner of a business doesn have regular contact with the person responsible for running it, also how the hell does he know what his deal is or what he should be doing if he doesnt speak to the owners, more to the point, we all know bates (as much of a pain in the a$$ he is), would under no circumstances work under such conditions, nobody in their right mind would.

I cannot be anyone other than bates who owns our club, ER & TA - does he really believe he can fool anyone by saying he doesnt know who owns us or our facilities, if that is genuinely true, he is even more retarded than i could have imagined and we need to get rid even more so

lets hope that we can get someone genuine soon who is willing to but our club. we only ask for transparency nothing more, nothing less

Believable2 Unbelievable0

I know that bates owns ER, TA, and Leeds Utd by doing research however it would be very easy for a football fund to appoint a chairman and that chairman report directly to the fund never knowing who the investors are and who actually owns the club. I believe that there was a TV programme that highlighted this mainly involving business people for the fr east.

However i don't think that has happened in the leeds case

Agree0 Disagree0

Bates is the owner of the club since he bought it a few months ago from the prvious owner who was Ben Kates or something like that. We still have no clarification on who owns ER or TA but Master Bates clearly trusts the mysterious owner a lot because he spent £7m on executive boxes for their ground whilst investing a negative amount in players for the club he recently bought fro Ben Kates

Leeds united are haveing money problems again. What a suprise bates has blown it all on the stadium and got nothing back for it

Believable4 Unbelievable3

I can't imagine that a team with money problems would spend £4 or £5m on a stadium develpoment. The money is there alright but a lot of it has gone on something that will not bear fruit for a couple of years.

Agree0 Disagree0

Leeds Utd having money problems why because they are in the black and making money where did you come up with that one from

Agree0 Disagree0

Leeds not having money problems how did you get that idea, KB haters talk so much rubbish. We have filed company accounts since CVA with companies house that have all shown leeds have positive credit and made profit

Agree0 Disagree0

Wrong. KB is in the black making money OUT OF OUR CLUB. he's investing it in his own property ie the ground, rather than the team, so he can sell up higher in the future.

Agree0 Disagree0

If you got your blinkers off, you'd know the COMPANY accounts are those of the club and are public record. We do not have financial problems...it's just that bad santa spends less than he brings in, which funnily enough is the definition of profit...it's called business

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Aug 2011 16:53:07
Bates have said on sky sports that newcastle wanted a 1 million pound contribution towards Alamn Smith an we cant afford it, i aint one of these people who go on i want him back or hes scum but i wanna no where is the money going we made a million of kasper.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Exactly...very odd

Agree0 Disagree0

KB made the right decision then the money I would sugest is in the Leeds United bank account, how do you no that the money was up front payment and wasn't after so many months, games or other clauses you just thought a players gone for £1mil that means KB has £1mil football doesn't work like that firstly there is tax to pay, players agent fees normally and other aditional costs {Ed001's Note - player's have a 'loyalty' bonus that has to be paid unless they requested a transfer, usually a large percentage of the remaining contract.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would you pay £1m for a player on loan for the season who could then sign for whoever he liked the following season?

With bradford and some succes in international hoping for good win this weekend. Although after seeing brown i dont like him play clayton and howson, clayton is class. Believable3 Unbelievable0

11 Aug 2011 16:09:10
SG said on LEEDS website that a NUMBER of trialists are being looked at with a behind closed doors game arranged this week, one being Felix Luz,he also states that Mendy wasnt offered a deal because he feels Mendy is behind the likes of Snoddy,Nunez,Sam etc,and wants sto priorities signings, and worryingly said that Paynter is touch and go for the Middlesboro game,so it appears if he is fit hell play some part in it,why cant he see what we see,fit or not he shouldnt be a Leeds player,I know...lets sign Smith,er only joking,MOT.

Bates struggling to finance a deal to bring a striker in,as he can't find one that will play for nothing.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

He found paynter haha the kb haters make me laugh

Agree0 Disagree0

I wish Pyanter did play for nothing but I fear he will be one of the top earners

it pains me to say this, but i do not understand what Ken Bates is doing at the moment. So he takes over a fallen giant, with the intention of spending a little here, and a little there, with the ultimate aim to get the club back into the Premier League, sell to a keen investor, and make a tidy profit.
As greedy as that sounds, it would benefit all parties involved; the club, the fans, and the man himself. And up until the start of this season, he seemed to be making good progress. We didnt miss out by much, we had some good players, full internationals, and were ready to challenge again this season.
But now suddenly its all transfer doom and gloom. Leeds can't buy anyone. They can't enter bidding wars with clubs that take in even half their ticket income, because they will always lose. They can't sign players on loan because their wage demands are 'too high.' This is utterly demeaning, and is having a horrible effect on our team.
It is so demeaning simply because Leeds take more profit each year from fans than most other clubs, practically all of them in fact, outside the Premier League, and a damn sight more than many in the top flight for that matter. We have no debt, and are financially sound from top to bottom. And yet we cannot afford one marquee signing; even though he is available for no fee and on a third of his current wage. I never thought I'd see the day when my team would end up like this; okay not since relegation.
It does pain me to say this, because, unlike many Leeds fans, I have always backed Bates. I think a lot of people forget that without him, the club would no longer be in existence. I know he's dodgy and tight-fisted and difficult to work with. But he pulled some strings and saved a footballing institution; a club that has walked among giants, with the most loyal fans in the country.
Now, though? The ambition to get the club up seems to have gone. There is no significant investment. Has Uncle Ken lost his nerve, his patience? Has he got bored with his little experiment? Who knows.

It is my opinion though that the old man has bitten off more than he could chew with us, and should sell us on at the soonest convenience. We are worth a damn sight more now than we were before, and he should be able to retire nice and kushty with a substantial nest-egg, and we'd have a bright new owner with deeper pockets. That is the new best-case-scenario. Again, only my opinion. Sorry, Batesey, its been fun though.
any other thoughts?
wally

Believable7 Unbelievable0

Good post, Leeds must be an attractive venture for any capitalist to invest surely

Agree0 Disagree0

Were not debt free, we have a CVA hanging over us which means we are still paying debt back, all be it not all of it, but an amount. Were not financially sound, bates didn't save us, he merely made it so awkward and difficult for anyone else to bid for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

Of course he saved us. When he bought us the first time he was the only bidder and we were days from going out of business It was the second time he made it difficult for others to buy us I'm glad he did, we might have ended up with Simon Morris who makes papa Smurf look like mother theresa

out of the players we have available i would start with this

lonergan
lees kisnorbo o'dea white

clayton

snoddy howson gradel

nunez
mccormack

Believable7 Unbelievable0

Agreed, questionable whether the midfield would defend well though

Probably the best team available

I agree with your selection. It's quite young and pacey too. Certainly attacking.

Maybe a long shot but could it be fuller? With crouch on the verge of signing and Walters keeping him out last season he seems to be struggling to get a first team place at stoke. Would be a brilliant signing at our level but I'm guessing his wages are way out of bates' price bracket.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Hope not because he does have attitude problem and that would see route 1 football which leaves us open as i have said before

More likely to be Simon Fuller mate

All we seem to hear from kb and sg is how close they were to signing players, but as usual the signings never happeni Personally I don't think We will make anymore signings, I think the club is still in debt and bates is hiding it from us all, Why else would he not sign anyone for real money??

Time to face facts. Were not going to be able to challenge This season which is a f"""""g shame, which hurts us fans.

I think if the stories about sg wanting to offer mendy a deal and bates stepping in and has undermined him there working relationship has gone.when a chairman starts to pick the football team its time for that manager to walk away,no one could blame simon if he was to walk.I for one hope he doesn't but if you look at bates record whilst at chelsea you will see similarities in what he is doin here, the chelsea scum stood up and ousted him because they had had enough its time we stood up and let him know we've had enough we want simon grayson but we don't want ken bates let's let him know that NOW.

Believable4 Unbelievable1

If you look on Leeds website,SG said he wants to prioritise signings and that Mendy would be behind the likes of Snoddy,Sam,Nunez etc,so decided not to sign him,a number of trialists at Leeds this week, one of them Luz,he soundss likely to be our next signing.

Can't argue that Bates's dodgy dealing has saved Leeds when we were in administration, but it is time he cashed in so we can have someone who will invest to get us back into the top flight. Not sure what Bates' plans are but it doesn't seem like it is in Leeds United's best interests.

Believable8 Unbelievable1

Read the article of the scratching shed website. Then see if you think Ken saved our club

Agree0 Disagree0

On postive note, clayton, lees, nunez look like descent new players
get nunez on right wing/midfield,as hes only a one footed player,
love to be a fly on the wall in both grayson and bates offices

Agree0 Disagree0

Bates put us into administration, he didn't save us, he took advantage of us by being dodgy and eliminating any possibility of other investors getting involved.. I wish peopl would open their f***ing eyes to this. We have a massive CVA over our heads and a chairman who is merely topping up his pension.

5# KB owns both ER and TA clear if you look and do research

4# KB owns TA as said and the barn at TA has been refurbished its state of the art

3# Clearly KB owns the majorityof shares and is chairman of Leeds United

2# SG himself has said that he has money available why say that if it isn't?

1# Blame Krasner

Agree0 Disagree0

#05 – I will buy back Elland Road

One of the first promises Ken Bates made in 2005 was that he’d repurchase Elland Road to ensure the long-term future of our club. After all, without any assets all you really own is a pretty looking badge and a few sheets of paper that say a few players will run around for 90 minutes on a Saturday afternoon wearing whatever illuminous sponsor-heavy shirt you put them in.

Some fans would argue Bates already owns Elland Road – I mean, why else would you spend £7m on the East Stand and millions more on bars and the “best conference facilities from Newcastle to Manchester?” As I’ve said many times before, you wouldn’t bolt a conservatory onto a council house.. Maybe Ken Bates would?

#04 – The Fabian Delph money will go towards the repurchase of our training facilities

When it quickly became apparent that Leeds United could not keep hold of youth sensation Fabian Delph, The Whites fans reasoned that his sale was for the good of our future – that if it would secure the repurchase of our training facilities as Ken Bates claimed, Fabian Delph wouldn’t be the last Academy sensation to grace the hallowed truth of Elland Road, and that, in this instance, the Chairman’s long-term thinking was not only justified, but also in the best interests of Leeds United Football Club.

Imagine our confusion then when, despite the Fabian Delph money and additional funds from the compensation received on other youth players, Leeds United had to go cap-in-hand to the council to try and secure an 11th hour deal. The council had issues with the lack of transparency at the club and decided against the bail-out, meaning Leeds United would continue to pay extortionate sums of money so the players had somewhere to train.

More ridiculous still was that only a few months after the failed repurchase, Ken Bates decided our training facilities had fallen into a state of disrepair and that Leeds United would be better off starting afresh elsewhere. “I didn’t want to play anyway, I’m taking my ball home…”

#03 – I don’t know who owns Leeds United (It’s not me, honest)

Following our second administration, Leeds United were repurchased by a mysterious offshore trust whose owners wished to remain anonymous. Ken Bates remained on as Chairman of course, because these new owners had seen what a stand-up job he’d done so far in getting Leeds United relegated to the third division for the first time in their history and putting them into administration – I mean, who wouldn’t want that kind of prudent leadership?

Many fans speculated that Ken Bates had in fact repurchased the club himself but was unable to admit it because this would make the repurchase of Leeds United F.C following administration slightly illegal. Ken Bates denied these claims, stating that he didn’t know who owned Leeds United and it most certainly wasn’t him This was a vague, yet consistent statement from the Leeds United Chairman right up until the point he appeared in a Jersey court and told the judge he did in fact own shares in the club – something he later retracted. Understandable really, we all forget whether we own multi-million pound businesses from time-to-time, right?

Somehow, despite not knowing who the owners of Leeds United were, in the summer of 2011 Ken Bates managed to purchase the club from them. We don’t know the exact details, but in my mind, the Leeds United chairman had a secret “bat phone” to contact these illusive owners. When he said he wanted to buy the club he was instructed to deposit a briefcase full of cash in a busy public park somewhere in the Cayman Islands. Looking as inconspicuous as humanly possible when you’re Santa Claus’ living double, Ken Bates donned a hat, sunglasses and long, sandy-coloured overcoat to make the drop. Sure enough, a few days later these mysterious and not-at-all-dodgy owners, mailed him the papers stating he now owned Leeds United. A gentleman’s way to conduct business in the 21st Century if ever I heard it.

Of course, the alternative view is that he simply drew up some papers switching the ownership from the offshore trusts (him) to… well… him. Damn conspiracy theorists ruining my 1950′s spy-montage.

#02 – The mysterious transfer warchest

£150,000 spent on a goalkeeper, whilst £1,5m was received in transfer fees and the Fabian Delph money miraculously turned up in the shape of some East Stand executive boxes. This appears to be the sum total of the transfer “warchest” Simon Grayson has to work with. Scared yet West Ham? Yeah, you should be…

Not all hope is lost though, because Ken Bates says that we can attract a better quality of player to Elland Road because of our “competitive wage structure” What do you mean Ipswich Town outbid us for Keith Andrews? Pass me the razor-blades

#01 – “Without Ken Bates, there would be no Leeds United Football Club”

The sheer ridiculousness of this statement shouldn’t require me to add anything further, but it seems Ken Bates’ propaganda has been well and truly absorbed by many Leeds United fans.

To those who still believe Ken Bates “saved Leeds United” let’s track back. When Ken Bates’ mysterious offshore backers bought us out the second time, there were several other bids on the table which all offered more money than Ken Bates’ and were the preferred choice of every creditor, except the one that somehow decided they’d prefer Ken Bates in charge of the club despite the fact they’d lose several million pounds on the deal. HMRC were quite upset by this, as was everyone else, so much so that a CVA couldn’t be agreed and Leeds started the following season on -15. Job done, Leeds United saved

As for the first buy-out, it’s quite possible Leeds were facing administration if Ken Bates didn’t come in and “save us.” The only problem with that one is that we ended up in administration anyway Hardly my idea of salvation. Had Leeds gone into administration under Krasner, this would have given potential suitors the chance to purchase Leeds United, rid them of debt and invest wisely to get us straight back into the Premier League where they could sell for a huge profit. Instead, we got Bates and three years of League One football. Good times.

Calling all dissidents: Protests against Ken Bates’ ownership will take place before the ‘Boro game this weekend. Also check out the Love Leeds, Hate Bates page and join our Leeds United forums where Bates hating (or ‘Bating’ – get it?) is always welcomed.

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Bessone, Paynter?

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Gwyn Williams and Mervyn Day are more responsible for thoughs signings

Agree0 Disagree0

As well as Paynter , Bessone et al he doesn't play Somma often enough or in the righy position (Bearing in mind the lad found his own way to the club),He sent Nunez to Scunthorpe and brought in Bannon and Livermore and was on the point of getting rid gf Gradel. Plays Payter but not grella Add Bruce, Connelly and Brown. Are you getting the picture?

Agree0 Disagree0

Cpl of bad ones yes, although wen he got them they had good seasons for their respective clubs and looked good at the time. so far sg has done a good job, mayb he bottled it a bit last yr but hes a young manager not jose mourinho.

HOW CAN U BLAME GRAYSON WHEN HE HAS ACHEIVED WHAT HE HAS SO FAR?

I can see these 2 having a big fall out if it has not already happened. Something Is going on behind closed doors at Leeds and it dose not look good. We had £1.5 million from selling kasper were is that money spend. Also Bates said we could not afford £1million rising to £1.75 million to release smith from his Newcastle contract so were is all our transfer kity gone. And if we can not pay £22.000 a week for a top player then we are more in a mess than we think.

A "Terrible Manager"
The man that got blackpool promoted and if you speak to any blackpool fan, is responsible for setting up the foundations at there club that spring boarded them to the Prem.
A man that took over our club and in his first half season steadied the ship and took us to the play offs, then the following year got us promoted automatic.
Is that the same man that took us to 7th place last year, massively over achieving as we were expected mid table best.
Yeah he is a really sh*t manager Grow up

So glad i'm not in SG shoes, jutt put your self there for a second.............

True leeds fan wants the best for the club had some good players lined up pre-season only to loose nearly all of them, he got nothing of a transfer budget cant get decent players in on loan, must be F***ing frustrating. trying to keeps fans happy always puts a posative spin on things so the club don't look stupid and all because of one man.

Pappa Smurf, your too old we need so fresh blood, time to retire my friend.

we are Leeds

MOT

Believable2 Unbelievable0

SG has brought it on himself after the last 2 seasons league run ins, and his transfer record KB doesn't trust him and rightly so because KB knows it will just be a waste

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree, only thing keeping Grayson at the club is that he is a true Leeds fan and has a vested interest in making the club do well..........any other manager would have walked. Like a true Leeds fan he wants to stay no matter.

Sadly he will become a scape goat for bates like o'leary was for ridsdale

Agree0 Disagree0

Then why doesnt he sack him and back a more experienced manager who can persuade better players to our club

Agree0 Disagree0

All in good time my bet is he is finding the right man as we write, last thing kb can do is sack sg without having someone lined up

Agree0 Disagree0

He can't bring a more experianced manager in, they wouldn't put up with Bates dealings. they would want money to spend and would have to pay Sg off.

Agree0 Disagree0

He won't sack him cos he'll have to pay compensation Papa Smurf will offer him F*** all when his contract is coming up for renewel and he'll p*** off like Beckford, Johnson and Kilkenny

Agree0 Disagree0

Lined up??? Who the hell would want to come and manage us?

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldn't mind if Bates did stay that the club but i agree we need some younger, alltho experianced team in runing the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

It aint sg not persuading them its the money factor, if 1 club offer u 5k a week and onother offer u 10 or 15 what u gonna do?? and u cant blame the players who r turning us down because the wages bates offers r stupidily low eg greening wanted around 14k and for a lad whos been in prem last 10 yrs he would be worth it and bates said no. how can u negotiate with someone like that?

Agree0 Disagree0

Younger, SG is a young manager All you people saying he is rubbish with money and signing WTF, he has captured just as many good players as bad. Every manager makes good and bad signings, if you can name one that hasn't I'll eat my hat

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh and another thing, have any of you said any of SG apparent "Targets" are sh*t or would you have liked to see them join the club, because all you have done is complain we have missed out on them

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe KB has learned from SG nd will look for someone who's not a leeds fan

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Aug 2011 10:03:26
i guess it would have been crap news not having funds and not challenging for promotion but at least we would know the truth, bates has said in interviews that our aim this year is to reach the prem, he has just built up hopes of the loyal fans, i feel sorry for grayson because he wabnts to bruing the quality in but all bates is offering as a budget is £5 and a wispa, we aint guna get far

BATES OUT BATES OUT BATES OUT BATES OUT. Protest outside the ground saturday ? {Ed045's Note - Please no more protests...

Believable5 Unbelievable2

What is a protest going to achieve? More bad press for the club, thats what

Agree0 Disagree0

Even Ed doesn't want protests, stop this nonsense now it will achieve nothing

Agree0 Disagree0

Prtests achieve nothing except making all the Leeds fans that turn up look like utter morons. All the Bates Out chanting does the same. He isn't gonna leave just cos some idiotic fans throw a tantrum.

Agree0 Disagree0

People have a right to protest if they please.. if you dont want to join go sit in Billy's bar and enjoy a large coke and a bag of ready salted.. protesting may not get Bates out, but it shall raise the the doubt of optimism amongst us fans who pay 600 a year to line his pockets.. what we want is the promises he made and not the excuses he gives. There's no smoke without fire with KB this is just the start

Agree0 Disagree0

Its all about haiving your voices heard.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree people have the right to protest, unfortuatly the idiots gow to these protest and they get out of hand, have you been watching the news.

We do NOT want that for our club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Have your voices heard in the right way then rather than bringing the club down and casting more bad press on our club.

Agree0 Disagree0

The only voices that will be there will be the absolute idiots from the dregs of society who don't deserve to support Leeds. FICKLE.

Click believable if Bruce is better than O'Brien

Believable8 Unbelievable5

Bruce is rubbish he starts ok at the clubs he's been at and then peoplr realise he's crap bromby is a better option because he's done a full pre-season and ob hasn't

Agree0 Disagree0

Bruce and OB need to go along with, connolly, parker, bessonne, and bromby SG needs to have a rethink of his DF poll as he's clueless

Agree0 Disagree0

Did you watch bromby play tuesday, thats right, he came in calmed the defence and started playing football

we gotta get bates out hes the reason why nobody has signed hes admitted this bates out b4 grayson leaves all the moneys hes had and where is it if grayson got his targets we would be a force this season work the money he has from selling i see this as about 10 to 12 mil have we seen this spent on the pitch no so i ask this wheres the money you fat tw*t

Believable5 Unbelievable2

I agree Bates probably should go, but we need a buyer for the club first

Agree0 Disagree0

These fans make me laugh bates out oh no we don't have anyone running our club administration again do you realise the implications?if so why are you stating utter nonsense do you want leeds in chaos?

Agree0 Disagree0

Its no good banging on about Bates, hell only go when hes ready, and make loadsa money out of it,even a change of manager would have the same constraints, however,a good manager would probably make better signings, apart from the odd few,SGs have been poor,we will only tread water until either Bates goes,or a better manager is brought in,we cant compete as we are.

Agree0 Disagree0

Max gradel, adam clayton, nunez, all signed by grayson, and lets face it.. 3 of our better players. give the man a break, you cant get it right every time

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Aug 2011 07:55:15
well i for one would like smith back,my signed shirt can come back out the loft.
but if he doesnt he doesnt.we just need a bit of a lift thats all.i know we havent played well and will prob struggle if we just go with what we have but just 2 decent signings will boost everyone including the players themselves who are prob scared stiff after reading what we put.yes ob is poor but he would be a good back up for a decent cb.please ken, just give us a little o shout about

Believable3 Unbelievable4

NO WE DON'T WANT SMITH BACK. MOT (WITHOUT THE JUDAS)

Agree0 Disagree0

Well get over it, the judas isn't coming back and No true leeds fan would want him back.
Don't suppose you can get the yorkshire evening post where you are but go on the site, ken bates has even said today that he WON'T be coming back.
So PLEASE let that be the end of it.
MOT (without the scum)

Agree0 Disagree0

We need more than two signings, three or four quality players, how would an average at best player like Smith give us a boost,we need better, its my guess that SG will eventually walk having been blocked by Bates in signing players, what hes spent on the stand should have gone on players, best fans in the country being let down by Bates, time he sold up

Agree0 Disagree0

The £1m in waged put Leeds off so don't think it's happening and I'd be very surprised if anything happened in Jan either. Not too sure we'd get him on a free when season ends because the wages would still be an issue.

Agree0 Disagree0

If you look on yep, youll see Bates saying no more moves for Smith he refused to take any sort of pay cut,and NUFC wanted us to stump up 1 million pound, the deal is dead so shut the f--k up about Smith, hes crap anyway.

Agree0 Disagree0

Can we stop making generalisations about people not being Leeds fans if they wanted smith back? let's get behind the lads and MOT together

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't want smith back for one reason and that reason only he is past it simple nothing else just that, you have seen OB, Brown do I need to say anything else

Agree0 Disagree0

YEP - He's not coming so please stop post about f***ing Smith.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do you want this has been back at leeds? his ankle is more or less crippled, he's way past his best (ask anyone at newcastle), I dont think he's scored a goal in pro football for 4 to 5 years, he left us for Man Utd and he still has a dodgy temprament, you have some weird issues other than whats best for leeds on the pitch if you want us to spend so much money bringing a player back who will be a liability for us ... wierd. especially when we would be much better off trying to sign someone like clingdon from cov who can play and perform at this level, smith would be a 'trophy' signing for sad glory hunting leeds fans who need to get real.

Agree0 Disagree0

If you read my original post properly youd see i said we are desperate for a boost,a couple of good signings.my personal opinion is that id like smith back but i know its a dead duck,to im entitled to my opinion.when you pay out as much as me to watch leeds, and i live over 2 hours from leeds then i for one dont want to see us get turned over every week.if some of you so called fans are happy as it is then i feel sorry for you.

Agree0 Disagree0

We dont want Smith, and we dont want decent signings either,we need 3 or 4 QUALITY signings, you said youd like Smith back then went on to say we need 2 decent signings,Smith doesnt even fit in that category, hes well past his best, time all this Smith crap was put to bed once and for all.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hear hear to the last poster I live 40mins away from Elland road and go to most of home games even a few away games Bates is causing fans to pick stupid arguments and inviting point scoring...let's MOT guys

Agree0 Disagree0

If you can't take the abuse mate don't BANTER about that judas, yes i want us to win and not become the shambles that we are, but please give up the smith thing ( and i spend a fortune watching them too and live in moortown) MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

Me again, original post.we all want the same thing don't we.Leeds to be a premier force again.not going to fall out,we all have opinions.just feel little frustrated that's all,kb could cheer us all up with few quality signings to give us at least a fighting chance

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Aug 2011 05:41:22
So definite targets Leeds have lost out on so far...billy Jones right back. Gareth macauley centre back, keiran westwood goalie gone to premiership, can't compete wi that at moment. Stockdale goalie went to ipswich on loan due to Leeds not wanting the 24 hour recall. Good decision. Bowyer was close confirmed grayson but he didn't want to move his young family n schools. However he has only signed one year deal at ipswich will he change his mind if we get promoted ? Keith Andrews deal broke down as the player didn't want to join Leeds, Alan smith will be released either in Jan or end of season, Newcastle refused to cut losses after smith agreed deal wi Leeds, Leeds refused to pay 1m owed in wages, quite rightly so n smith will join Leeds on a free at end of contract. Simon cox deal on hold /off as his agent scuppered a 6 month loan deal. Good good players we have been after, the ones we actually brought in tho, lonergan, brown, rachubka, odea hmm well lonergan is the only one wi 3 year deal rest are one year. If we get promoted it be by some miracle on graysons part..

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Well all SG can hope for is a miracle as he cant coach or manage the squad he has said so many times the boys have potential and that they didn't do what he wanted, meaning the players a) don't agree with SG b) respect him c) trust him

only conclusion sg outt

This is taken from the mirror online

Leeds boss Simon Graysons move for French midfielder Alexandre Mendy has controversially collapsed.

Free agent Mendy impressed in trials and training after he left Czech club FK Mlada Boleslav. He even paid his own hotel bills in the city.

But Leeds supremo Ken Bates has refused to sanction the move to Graysons frustration and didnt even pay Mendys expenses.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

That man has to go now... in the long term interest in LUFC please show your support Saturday 1.30 outside the west stand

I never realised snodin was assisstant manager of northern Ireland. But iv just watched the game against the faroe islands. (recorded it to watch after work. Not Irish but I wanted to check out clingan) well I must say what a great player He is everywhere, tackles, shoots, sprays a ball all day long.

Possibly snodin to swing him are way If papa smurf opens his lady purse

You will see that happen when SG goes

Mr Bates, Could you please do us all a favour and sell up, you are hated by 99% of Leeds fans, and the other 1% who thanked you for stepping in when you did, are starting to loose their rose tinted glasses, If the rumours are true that your manager wanted to bring in a free transfer (Mendy) and you refused, is the final straw, a manager must be allowed to manage, if he is not allowed to manage in his own way, then he must quit, if not he will be a type of manager that no one wants managing their club, a puppet, I think us true fans need to start voting with our cash, the only thing Mr Ken Bates understands.

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Correct mate, only Bates can choose when he leaves, please make it soon

Agree0 Disagree0

KB can you do me a favour stay untill you find the right buyer for leeds

another great favour would be to SACK SG SOON HE IS CLUELESS

blah blah blah Alan Smith this Alan Smith that who really cares, the fact is every single player were linked with has failed for one reason or another, mainly MONEY. Bates and SG are just Bulls**Ters end of. Were signing no one else and are gunna prop up the Championship this season. But eh who cares WE ARE LEEDS.

Agree season to give the young lads a chance thats it season for consolidation and many frustrating times ahead

Mendy deal now dead. Bates has f**ked it up again, a player that Grayson has worked hard to secure a deal for but his hands are tied again.

You know SFA just like me you read something and that makes it real you and I like everyone else no nothing about the running of this club, as for the printed press then as for the mirror need I say more...?

"Bates blocks Graysons plans to sign Mendy" Bates is just getting worse now he won't even sign freebies granted we don't need a Winger but still

Believable2 Unbelievable0

But still what we don't need a winger ok get mendy and sell gradel or snodgrass hw you would complain then

Bates out...slowly killing our club. Great, may own ER and TA now...so sell these assets and bugger off. We need someone with ambition, not an old man still looking for a stage to give him an ego trip

Agree that SG and Shaun H need to get some balls rather than behaving like puppets. Don't they have any self pride?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

They have no pride especially SG putting his face in the public domain with the ame excuses in grayson i don't trust
