It's getting tighter than a ducks butt in the league. Hope this helps us in the transfer window. We need to up the anti and bag some points over the next few games. Nothing you don't already know but makes me feel better saying it. Come on Leeds I will take points over pressies at Xmas 😂MOT.

I have said it for sometime, Phillips are Vierra are very good prospects They need though to be playing alongside experience and quality. Playing them together without the likes of O'Kane, Bridcutt and/or Hernandez is very risky. They will come unstuck in games and their development undermined. Green I worry about. He has caused us problems in a number of games and must give the jitters. Wood, although not bad, is not good enough for serious promotion candidates. He is not a natural goal scorer (he is not quick footed enough and hasn't got the strikers instinct) . He will score goals but he is not the type to make something out nothing to win or save a game. He never really looks a threat. He is no Dwight Gayle for example. So as the team develops, not necessarily this January, we need to recruit a steady and reliable Goal keeper, A striker who can be a constant threat, and a quality winger. Sacko has the pace but is lacking in other areas; Dallas is just a workhouse. We have a decent team now with spirit but we need Monk to improve the quality whilst not losing the dressing room if promotion is to become reality.

It makes Murphy and Diagouraga being frozen out even more baffling. You need experience in CM not kids, playing Vieira and Phillips v Newcastle and Brighton was always going to be tough. They are good cover for injuries, yet Monk would rather play Grimes who has no Championship experience.

Vierra was good against Brighton.

All great teams have a good spine, the boys down the middle are the ones who control the game. Looking at ours we Green or Silvestri. Neither are world beaters but can we do much better? With Bartley and Jansson we are as good as anyone. 1st choice 3 would probably be Bridcutt, O'Kane and Hernandez. Again with these 3 no concerns. Wood is the guy upfront and while he's not everyone's cup of tea he's getting the goals. Our issue is if any of these get injured. Yes I'd like a back up for Wood and the Centre halves but my main concern is replacing Hernandez. I've coached a bit and my game plan against Leeds would be to stop him as simple as that. He's going to be man marked or kicked to death so we need back up. Available options will be limited so my thought is really going for it and spending big wages on Sébastien Giovinco. Check him out, had an amazing season at Toronto. Yes I know it's not a well known league but he'd kill it in Championship and could well be the catalyst we need.

Canada I like your thinking, but how are we going to afford his transfer fee, never mind his wages? Didn't he transfer for like £15m?

MLS season is over, go for a loan deal. No chance of buying but get him and get us up then we can afford players of his standard on permanent deals.

Giovinco? Are you sure. You mean the guy who is getting paid £7 million a year and has earned 20 something caps for Italy. I doubt a team like Leeds would be able to get him. It's more likely that he moves to a perm team. He's earning over 100k a week. Maybe we should look at more realistic replacements. I understand that the MLS season has finished but the players need their rest, they can't play a game every week all year.

Ellie, go big or go home. Spend 600,000 on wages and earn hundreds of millions if he delivers. In Jan loan market you either get dross (other clubs rejects) or need to use top players who are not needed at current club as their season is over. Not saying we'd get him but why not try? No loss if we don't and top player if we do giving us a better chance of getting back where we belong.

There's being ambitious and there's putting the club's future at risk. We don't have the money for £15m players.

Canada your right about teams kicking the hell out of PH, I actually posted that some time ago, Phillips and V are good game bad game both talented lads but against the Newcastles etc a bit green . And speaking of Green just noticed a piece where he is noted as the most mistakes in championship. Decent GK is a must and I would see if Bartons avail in jan.

any one see sol bamba get sent off? went menatal and tried to fight about three players and the fouth ref. on one hand funny but think he left on loan so that might cost us a sale or decrease his value. it has inspiered a xmas song though that I think should be sung at the next game last christmas I gave sol my heart but the very next day he forgot how to play, this year to save me from tears, ill give it to pontus jannson.

That song is already being sung BW, just the bit about forgetting how to play is different! I wonder if Warlock thinks Sol is still the best defender in the championship now lol! MM.

Was Bamba's contract not terminated? So to use a Bros quote 'I owe you nothing, nothing at all'. Good riddance.

well pleased that song is already being sung. not sure what the deal was around bamba as long as he is not connected to leeds in any way I then find it very funny. was worried if on loan from leeds we might be fined, banned and deducted points due to bambas actions.

OK all I need some help. Both boys are away at Uni and the missus misses them so wants a puppy! I love dogs so no issue but used the fact it was her idea to get naming rights. When I told her it would be Pontus she wasn't impressed and her reasons are 1) who's ever heard of a dog called Pontus and 2) what happens if he leaves Leeds. She has a point with 2) as it was hard to explain to my 3 year old that his pet 'Rio' was now to be called 'Scummer'. So is it worth the risk naming it after a loan player?

My dog is named Eddie after Eddie Gray and my last dog Billy after Billy Bremner. My Dad's dog is called Brollin because it's fat and eats his own s**t. MM.
