Most posters here called for a LB a GK and a striker we have signed a LB. With a few weeks left in transfer window would it be a case of 2 out of 3 ain't bad

Wex GK unnecessary. Wieldwald has improved slightly. LB is done. Still need a first team central defender because we'll need better than Coops in the playoffs. I say we need 2 strikers because Lassogga and Grot are not fit for duty, Roofe can be temperamental and Ekuban is out until around Easter. Wilks is back but not much can be expected of him so 2 are needed. Marriott and Ings or Woodburn will do nicely.

Wex. Pre ayling injury lb wasnt really nec. To get promoted we need gk, mid general and 1 or maybe as georgie said, 2 strikers.

By way of a striker, sarkic is making the U23's league look easy, can see him being our next first teamer to join.

After Newport, tomorrow is a very big game. Not just the result but the manner of it. I cannot countenance a loss but a point away at Ipswich would not be a failure so long as we do not let them hustle and bully us. Come on lads play them off the park, walk away with a big smile and 3 points.

And another one for the future! At this rate we will see Brexit and the Plastics Pleadge reap rewards before our first team! We will be plastic free, flying driverless cars, and have houses on Mars before we fans see us having a great squad! 😂😂

Sarkic has been scoring regularly for the development squad 5 in last 7 games, surely a better choice to be on the bench for first team than Lasogga or Grot?

Give him a run. Certainly can't do any worse.

When Lasogga first played and was scoring it was great but his form has nose dived dramatically since he became a Dad and the big difference now is when I see his name I am totally underwhelmed! When I see the ball go towards Félix, I put my hands over my eyes like I’m watching a horror movie!

As much as I like Beradi and Ayling I’m always expecting red cards! Then there’s Hernandez who looks so knackered all the time I dread his form in the second half! Then there’s Anita Harris who is five yards off the pace with no chance of catching up! Then there is the undisputed biggest liability at Leeds Mr Philips, who is a car crash waiting to happen and always on the edge!

Cooper although been quite good in some games is like a very dodgy tennis player, really hit and miss! I don’t have any words for Grot other than he needs a Sat Nav to help him find the back of the net! Then we have the really bad dancing on ice duo, Siaz and Alioski, just imagine how much of a shift they could put in if they didn’t keep falling over!

Thankfully we have Pontus as he is our rock, and Roofe is amazing considering he’s been in more different positions than those studying the Karma Sutra! We must be the most resilient and loyal supporters God ever created! 😂😂🤣🤣

poor analysis not sure you're watching the same games, if they're that bad why are we 5 places off top, the rest of the teams in this league must be awful. I've said it before ill say it again. how many times to teams go up to the prem and the same players just get better, almost never. i give bournemouth a lot of credit because whenever they've bought a player since being in the pl he's been a youngster looking to develop, other than that, steve cook, arter, surman, boruc, smith, francis, were all in the championship with them and stepped up. point i'm making is that a lot of the players you see now wil have 1/2 games in the pl if we get there, then be sent straight down to the lower leagues and promotion money will be invested. brighton, huddersfield, leicester, swansea, all proving this in recent years. with the way we invested in 14 new faces this year so far, i can see orta signing another 10 next year, i'd say 5 of which will be good enough to go out and win games.

Mike, I always enjoy reading your posts but I wonder how the heck we have reached 6th with so many misfiring players. Some I would contend do need to be looked at but some do have the skill and endeavour the only thing they lack is consistency. We have shown that we can raise our game and sometimes, for no apparent reason, everything clicks. The only problem is they cannot do it often enough and so "go on a run". I never want to get into the realms of which team will turn up but a season of flair games with weeks of grinding out a result will do me.

Thanks Leodis and I do enjoy reading yours and Samowhites as well. A bloke who I was sat next to at Elland Road while watching us draw with Forest actually said to me, I am at Elland Road aren’t I? It’s just that for some reason I thought I’d taken the wrong junction and arrived at Rotherhams ground! I coudnt stop laughing! So I wrote that post because I was really peed off, I just can’t understand how we played so well against Sunderland and Forest at the beginning then now with the same payers we have been shocking, I just want, like all of us on here, players to play their hearts out for the shirt and they are not, some are worse than others, so that post while it was in honesty was over the top but it really is how I see some of them now especially Lasogga, you would think it was him who had give birth! and Samowhite I didn’t mean my post to come across like that it was just off the cuff! There isn’t one poster I dislike on here and from the many faces of Fu Man Swadlad!

Hey Alf, if you think that’s funny. I was unfortunately invited through work to watch Middlesborough v Chelsea years ago when Chelsea were not good and Boro were worse under the management of Bryan Robson! Anyway I’m in the hospitality lounge just had my meal and they lead us out to our seats, I’m sat next to this guy who is looking around seeming quite chatty, so the teams come out and they start calling out the team names, the guy next to me starts fumbling away in his bag, pockets and inside jacket pockets, he stands up looking panicked, so I said are you ok mate, have you lost something, he turned and stared straight at me and says “Fu##ing hell, I thought it looked different! I thought I was watching Sunderland! I’m a Sunderland supporter! ” i'm not watching this s***e! He then turned and walked off! How would you not know? 😂😂

I keep reading that the Leeds fans should be excited about all the new signings that the club is making. I am sure that it may be beneficial in the future, either for the 1st Team or financially but not now. The signings are either for loaning out or for the development squad. This not helping the team now. We have brought in a left back who might not do much better than Berardi. De Bok is a good defender but is not renowned for going forward and creating things further up the pitch. Berardi can do that. I think the Belgian was coming here before Ayling was injured - so nothing much to be excited about there. He could have just been an understudy for Berardi. Or, alternatively Berardi would have nowhere else to play except by displacing Ayling. He won't, therefore, make the team that much better in the short term at least. We still need other players to make us progress. It may be that top 6 this year will be just seen as a bonus by the management - who knows but there are at least 6 or 7 teams that are at least as good, or better, than us at the moment. As it stands without any more additions I think we are looking at finishing between 8th and 12th.

Believable7 Unbelievable5

11 Jan 2018 17:46:54
According to the league table, there are 5 teams better than us. And how do you think that signing a left back won't improve the team, by the fact that we don't currently have one then the team must be improved

Agree4 Disagree1

11 Jan 2018 19:11:33
Agree with most of what you say Hess, but sure am glad we have someone to put in at left back leaving us free to play Beradi on the right now that Ayling is out.

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Jan 2018 19:41:14
Because I don't think he will be much better than Beradi. He is a very good defender but doesn't give us enough going forward. DE Bok appears to be the same. League table does not show everything. Apart from the 5 above us Fulham, Middlesborough, Sheffield Utd and maybe even Brentford could do better than us. Not forgetting Ipswich. The way we are playing we could struggle against any on of those teams.

Agree3 Disagree1

11 Jan 2018 21:44:26
And they can all struggle against us too. Or Burton, or Brum etc. that's the thing with this league! An off day against any team will see you beaten, and every team has off days.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

11 Jan 2018 16:53:55
Alf, I went to the Brentford beam back last season but unfortunately we were poor from the outset and lost therefore little opportunity for an atmosphere to be created. I think it cost £10 to watch the game with a free pie and pint therefore not bad value for money

Worst thing we can do. Pablo like for like, same formation. When Pablo tires in a game put on extra midfielder close game out. Therefore we must aim to score our goals in the first 70 minutes.

Anybody else think we have signed Charlie Taylor's brother or is it just me 😆 seriously though I think the lad is going to be great for us with bera back on his proper side we should be stronger of course losing luke is a blow but in bera we can trust, am looking forward to seeing the Italian bulldog terrier charging down the right wing in search of his 1st Elland road goal! Hugill or Marriott next thanks Rads see you for millwall brothers 😎

In fairness to orta, we've wanted a LB all year. Yes we should have had this ladin the pipe line before taylor went, but were a third of the way through and 2/3 of my personal targets are in. i'm happy with that business. Hope ideguchi proves he's too good for the second spanish div. De bock is someone with experience, i think he will ease this league personally, really good feeling about him. that defence is now solid, even without ayling, its a good back 4, keeper with second most clean sheets in the league, yes he fumbles, and yes he isn't the best in the league, but he is getting better and is slowly adapting. we've asked for a left back, got him, we've asked for a cm, got him too, maybe the back room staff do also know what's required and aren't as delusional as we thought, then again playing lasogga week in week out. team for saturday for me: wield, berardi, jansson, coops, de bock, okane, phillips, alioski, hernandez, cibicki, roofe

Believable8 Unbelievable1

11 Jan 2018 12:30:57
Let's see him play before we expect too much, as fans we have built some of these 'foreign gambles 'up, only to be let down once we see them play, I do hope samo that we bring another 1 or 2 in but it wouldn't suprise me if that's it for us, tc has said he's happy with midfield and forwards. could do with Dallas back to free Pablo up for the 10 role but not sure how much longer he will be out, any news on viera for Saturday?

Really disappointed with Orta's comments as to why the Japanese signing has been immediately loaned out despite having a work permit. To suggest that he would currently struggle to get a game ahead of our current midfielders shows a naivety as to their current performance level and sets a low bar (perhaps unfairly) to the abilities of our new recruit. The comment about the J League season finishing in December therefore his fitness levels may be not at peak also is odd. I accept that a full season is taxing however is the J League that difficult ? Also December ended only 11 days ago, how much fitness has this recruit lost in 11 days ?

Marriott is valued at 7 mil by Peterborough and it's reported both us and Villa are after him. Having more than one team trying to sign him will keep his asking price high. I doubt Peterborough will get 7 mil for him being offered by either team, but think we will be priced out of the move. Marriott will probably end up at Villa or can see him going to Sunderland, don't think we have any hope of signing him, would like him though.

Again, as in the summer. There are opportunities to buy the players that are experienced in english football and at a not over the top price and are just what we need AND as in summer we are going for a lot of cheaper never heard of them foreign options. Worrying times. Bit of a concern when our foreign men at the top haven't yet figured out their mistakes.

11 Jan 2018 07:39:46
I did think Aus that when we sold wood for 15mil, we would be willing to spend 5-6 mil on his replacement, if we don't want to spend then loaning a player like Danny ings would be a great addition (if ings would consider it) .

Hugill and Marriott up front, Coyle back from loan, Maddison or Vela in middle, Ryan Kent wing on loan, Bock at left back plus a quality centre half and keeper and we are contenders for automatic promotion I think. Send CBJ and Lassoga back to their clubs and Grot, Cibiki and BPF (keeper) out on loan too.

Grot, Klich, Cibicki either dropping down to development squad or loaned out, all 3 are signed on long contracts so we either pay them off or hope someone else want them. Pity our second tier Spanish team couldn't take them.
