Use our rumours form to send us leeds transfer rumours.

11 Jul 2016 16:41:07
None of our new signings are proven good (or bad) until the season starts, and even then it may take a few games to bed in and show their true form. Nobody knows. Until then we have to rely on, and put faith in, the management team at Elland Road. I am sure you, as easily as I, can name many a million pound "star" who has failed to shine in the Premiership.
An even bigger gamble on a Championship budget. So for now (Noel) let's keep our powder dry, pray for the best and wish our Newbies all the luck. They were bought because Gary and the backroom staff see something in them that they can work on and improve.
Before the season starts we have just as much chance as the next team. Remember you cannot guarantee success. Let's emulate Leicester, Iceland, Wales even Portugal work hard, pull together and above all, believe
So Go On Gary onwards and upwards.

Couldn't agree more, as fans is our "job" to do what we do better than anyone else in the land and that's keep supporting our team through thick n thin! Good luck to all the new lads. Onward n upward MOT.

Couldn't agree more. I will be cheering them with the same optimism I always have at the beginning of each season. Hopefully this season that will pass October 😆 Get a good start and I think top 10 or dare I say even top 6 is possible 👍🏻.

I agree but it would be sooooo nice to hit the season running.

I'm really trying my best not too, but around this time each year those feelings of optimism start to appear. In recent times they've been all over by October and sometimes sooner. I really hope we've something to shout about this season. Signings seem fairly positive and it was clear to see where we we're lacking last year. Hopefully a new cb, a solid season from dallas and you never know.

So we've got as good a chance as Newcastle.

12 Jul 2016 14:39:20
Better than Newcastle. Mark my words. Finish above newcastle.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Jul 2016 14:53:01
at the moment micky b we are well above newcastle and no one disagree with that.

i do think newcastle will walk it but rest of league is difficult. Villa might even go down and as for the rest we have an ability to compete with them.

Hello all my fellow lovely leeds fans,

firstly I am genuinely touched by the message on here as to my where abouts. Like the roumors sights much has been speculated.

had speedy captured me and locked in a basement?
Had I been locked up for punching russians in France?
Had George finally got the better of me and made me give up on life all together?
Was England performance so bad I had put myself in nut house with cinical depression

Truth is I have been away filming then spent time on the Somme as part of the Royal British Legions Sports Remembers, broke lap top and couldn't get in to old emails to check password so been reading but unable to comment until now so you will wish I hadn't returned.

With leeds think things are ok, gutted about cooke but accpect that is part of life and he was always going on to prem. think we have made some decent signigns and I like monk

also been very busy with The greater Game and recently Peter Shilton and Sol Campbell have been mentioning the play and the story behind it (including sol reading a letter from my play in front of the queen and both princes) so well pleased about that. If anyone has time and nothing better to do please google Michael Head, The Greater Game and Southwark playhouse to find out bit more why I have been so busy as that coupled with being in Speedys basement really has taken up so much of my time

MOT and good to be back amoungst my Leeds Brothers.

I like to listen to the post match discussions on radio Leeds after the match but almost without exception I think Noel Whelan makes comments based exclusively on whether he likes the player (or coach) or feels he has to support them because they are 'Leeds lads'. As far as Whelan was concerned, Cook, Bamba, Taylor, Wood et al could do no wrong whilst Silvestre and Belusci could do no right . Last year Cook didn't have a brilliant season. It was often said he needed to be rested. Wood wasn't brilliant either. Taylor was by far the best of the bunch but occasionally 'messed up'. Silvestre had a number of great games and so did Belusci. They also made mistakes. With the players he liked Whelan skated over the mistakes and talked exclusively about the any good points he could dredge up. I can remember one game when Belusci starred and we won and kept a clean sheet. All Whelan could say was how bad Belusci was because he tried on one occasion to clear a ball with the outside of his boot and it went into touch.
I would just like a bit of balance in the assessments. Cook, Taylor and Wood are not always that good and Silvestre and Belusci were not always that bad. With the new signings who knows? They don't look too bad but Whelan has already has got the knife in probably because Cook has gone and he is annoyed. He did say, before he had even played, that 'Dave' was a poor signing. The next week when he had actually got on the pitch he had completely changed his tune and Dave was suddenly a 'Great' signing . I think Noel should wait and see how the new lads get on before making comments that could undermine them before they have had a chance to settle in.

Whelan has been one fry short of a Happy Meal for a while now. I'd either add a large dose of Sodium Chloride to his remarks or better still discard them altogether. The only person's opinion I truly respect is Eddie Gray's.

Love listening to popey and Noel whelan on radio leeds, but think he's way off the mark with his comments on news now saying he doesn't rate any of the new signings, he's very bitter about selling cookie as are a lot of us, but to dismiss our new signings as not good enough especially when he's not seen them play in our white shirt is shortsighted, he needs to take the blinkers off and support GM and the boys.

Suppose he has to find something to be controversial about, only way he can get on radio.

11 Jul 2016 12:43:01
He should realise Dj that it's sell now and cash in or keep him for a season and he walks away for zilch. Can't take that chance with that sort of money. I'd personally be happy to let Taylor go and get the kid from Walsall and use the combined money to buy our ground back. Just my opinion before I get battered on here.

11 Jul 2016 13:42:59
Agree Martyn, Charlie won't talk to massimo about his contact, I'd love him to stay but what can MC do, it doesn't give him much option but to sell, not seen Rico play for Walsall but he is well thought of by all accounts by Spurs and a few others, so yeah get him in and sell Taylor if he won't answer Massimo's calls. I think Taylor and Cook will regret it as I'm confident of promotion soon and we may be waving at them going the other way now that would be irony.
