Use our rumours form to send us leeds transfer rumours.

Honestly I don't think we made the best of the transfer window! We didn't strengthen the areas which were needed and we're paying for it. maybe it's a blip

Transfer window was a shambles which is shown by Monk barely using Barrow. It is believed that Monk wanted a winger and a striker. In a last minute panic we got two wingers,

We need a midfield general.

A box to box midfielder is a must. I thought that Davis from Birmingham was the type of player we need, although I accept Davis shooting against us was poor

Well I think Monkey made it as clear as his professionalism would allow that he wasn't happy with the way the window went. Scrambling about to sign players on the last day never looks good. I think the promises he's given for the summer window will be the deciding factor in whether he stays or not. The planning should be starting now for the summer

Two signings we need are a box to box midfielder and a goalscoring midfielder. Barrow was a poor signing, he doesn't score or offer much. Pedraza was a good signing though.

We will probably be below Fulham before we play Brighton next week as they have two home games against Blackburn and Wolves before we kick off again. Monk sees the players in training every day so he must think he picks his best possible side to get the required results. Maybe we've been sussed out.

Spot on about being Sussed. Not sure about the placing. We continue to change (sub) like for like and don't seem to be able to respond or change it out. Very frustrating to watch. We just don't seem to be coming out firing on all cylinders. Passing the ball round at the back too much (not good for my heart! ) . When it's good then it's great - just not enough of it😩. A number of players seem to have taken a dip in form all at the same time. A point is better than none but we should be doing better - we can and we will - I hope all the players have to re watch the last two games. Might get them sparking. Positivity reigns MOT

Or maybe it's really that we've got a team that should be in 10th or 12th as we expected. But they have been doing brilliantly well. They can still beat any team but they have to all be on top form at the same time. The good news today is that we got a point more than Reading or Sheffield Wednesday. It's much more likely that Fulham will knock one of them out than us. They might even fight for auto

I don't agree Speedy. We finished 13th last year and this season we have a better keeper, defence, wingers, attacking midfielders and Wood is firing. I had us up for a top 6 finish back in August.

11 Mar 2017 22:46:06
Well I didn't. We were pants in August. I was more worried about relegation

PPeacock, do you not think that Fulham will win their next two games then. I know footballs played on the pitch not on paper and I hope they lose both and we beat Brighton but on current form I fear it will be the other way round!

2 months without a good performance is way too long. Garry needs to give the players a rocket up their butts, unless he's happy with these poor performances? Why he would be is beyond me. It's time for a change, 4-1-1-3-1, have Roofe as a CM and linking the play between Bridcutt and Hernandez. We don't need two holding midfielders at home. Try to show some ambition and not cling on for a point.

Sg! You can't be negative! Apparently if you even show the slightest hint of it on here you aren't classed as a fan! πŸ˜‰

11 Mar 2017 20:24:33
I get your thinking with regards to changing our formation but I struggle with the belief that Roofe is the answer. In positions that he is more accustomed to i.e attacking midfield or on the wing he has done little to impress. A player that might come good given time but produces lots of effort but very little output.

11 Mar 2017 20:51:45
True Notts, but the only midfielder we have who breaks forward from midfield is Phillips and he is suspended otherwise I'd pick him. Roofe hasn't done enough at 10, but he can get us forward from deep to help out with Hernandez.

Curahee, are you still on here? You should be on the Wednesday site shouldn't you? πŸ˜‰
Don't worry even Monk said we were useless today. Then again he's not a fan he's the coach so it may be ok for him to be negative!

Possibly an alternative would be to play two DMs, O'Kane and a n other with the instruction for O'Kane to play forward alongside Hernandez when the situation allows. That is assuming Hernandez is still being picked. I think that we have been underperforming for too many games and have been got out of jail by a rock solid defence and the sneak thief Wood.

It is now a very difficult decision for Monk; to stick or twist. Stay with the setup that has seen us at 4th or go for it and utilise a more attacking Plan B. Maybe Plan A has been worked out already by some of our competitors.

Curahee I didn't say you couldn't be negative, I said you were trolling. You said the opposition missing a chance is being lucky, which proves my point.

That you were trolling last week after the Birmingham game. There's a difference between saying it was a poor performance and claiming we were lucky because the opposition had shots off target.

12 Mar 2017 07:37:07
No sg I wasn't. it was my opinion. we were and have been in the past few games. teams cannot keep have the amount of shots they do against us and not really scoring. We sit to deep, don't change the formation to give them any thing to think about and play ourselves into trouble quite often. I think you'll find that all three of these points have been raised by others over the last few days too

Poor performance, poor result. Just playing for playoffs now. Hate to be the Wendies though, pressures on them, and Reading. Question is how did Cellino know we would finish in top 6.

We're ok for the playoffs, Reading and Wendies are pretty poor. Could do with Preston sneaking in and Larry doing us a favour in the final!

because MC is a smart man and a proper football man, he knows leeds have potential, he knew once he cleared the mess that was LUFC he would get us back up and being competitive always have faith in MC.
