I would agree with u aussy start with intent and batter them from the off and regarding doukoura he could be a handful but his work rate is awful I can see him going if he dnt pull his finger out Erwin needs a chance off the bench to give him game time mot

Got a good feeling about tomorrow, think we will score a few and win 3-1. I work with a Brentford fan and have been taking pelters since they done the double over us last season and made the play offs.

Oh come forward sweet revenge.

OK so the game tomorrow, I get the feeling that a lot of people think we are going to walk it on the back of our Derby win/Brentford being 3 points behind us, lost a lot of their best players etc.

I think we will win (2-1) but all of our games have been close so far and I see this one as no different even if we are in a good place. The championship shows that most of the games are close so yeah would love to win 3-4 nil but don't see it as they are a solid team I feel.

Ipswich will be another close one as they are a classic championship side, good for a top 10 finish but maybe not good enough for top 6, bit dull but solid great work rate and organised, any win against them is earned for sure.

So do we think 2 wins from our home games? I think it may be 4 points which in some ways will not be too bad as we won't then get carried away and think we are top 2, we are a work in progress, pointing in the right direction for sure but I want to manage expectations a bit.

Mind you if we get 4 points at home then beat the dons away in next 3 games (which I think we might as our away style seems to be very effective) then I know it is going to go mental on all the sites and saying prem here we come will be hard to resist for sure!

Looking forward to match on Saturday as it does seems ages since last one.

Could see a 2-1 or even a 3-1 if we keep the level we had against Derby. Loss of players and manager has hurt them. Had us down as drawing against Ipswich but they got hammered at Reading so maybe 6 points coming our way.

I know a lot don't rate Doukara but checked his stats and 5 goals and 17 chances created from 25 games last season is better than some we were looking at. At 22 he can improve, especially his ball control and work rate. Think he is still a bit raw but think he may come good yet.

BIGE, the stats look good however in Rosler's style of play it requires strikers to defend from the front which Doukara is not prepared to do because he is lazy. He has all the attributes to be a beast at this level but he needs to sort his head out

I would rather Erwin given a chance over Doukara. Yes he is 22, but he really needs to learn the league and the workrate required and I would have thought he would have by now. Maybe a stint in League one would be better suited to him.

Agree with NottsWhite though, if he did get his act together, he would be a beast upfront.

Another sublime postage from Notts

I defended Doukara for a long time last season, the raw talent is apparent but its nothing without desire and application and he is lacking.
I remember someone asking Neville on a pre match interview why Rooney never hit the level of a Ronaldo or a Messi when he arguably had more raw talent as a teen. Neville said Ronaldo was the first in training, the last to leave and asked the senior players how to improve. Rooney was the last in, first to leave. i'm starting to think Doukara is the latter type of personality and if so, sadly, he will never be as good as he could have been. Its a shame but Botaka seems to have the desire so we forge on.

Botaka to come off the bench for me. No need to shake things up and he does need to get used to the league, but I do believe he will be a good impact sub early days then cement his place.

So its pretty much that time, squad for Saturday's game?

Mine is:-

Silvestri
Berardi, Bamba, Belusci, Taylor
Adeyemi, Cook, Murphy
Byram, Wood, Dallas

So my big exclusions are Cooper (Still think Belusci is the better of the two, close though), Mowatt (Hasnt been good enough to keep Murphy out, sub till he gets top form back) Botaka (Needs more time with the team, impact sub for now unless Sam has a blinder, also he has admitted that the conditioning is a lot higher in the English league than he is used to so maybe not ready for 90 mins in the championship) and Antenucci (Wood is scoring for fun, no contest). Team is starting to pick itself for me and that's a good thing for stability.

Time to bench Sam gummie. Play the Botox man let's see his skills. Don't agree with your Bellusci decision. He is the better player but Cooper playing well and has the shirt. Agree with benching Mowatt for Murphy. Bringing on Byram Mowatt and Antenucci as needed with 25 minutes to go is some sub bench. Just need an experienced central defender as cover from the loan market and for first time in quite a while we finally have the personnel for a playoff spot.

Wow George
I think I might agree with you

11 Sep 2015 12:24:34
Agree with you George but I suspect that Rosler will start with the team that started at Derby. Possibly Antennuci will play instead of Byram

Also agree with you Georgie boy. But I think Notts is on the mark

12 Sep 2015 01:38:40
Tbh I would have put Antenucci in for Byram but he said he doesn't want to play there. Sam has looked out of sorts (though not bad) but dropping him for an unknown quantity, that has only had a couple of days with the team in training and has admitted to finding the physical side hard is a big call. Couple of super sub appearances first will do Botaka the world of good and maybe even Sam too now he has a bit of competition.
