Right... Enough cussing and moaning.. I love Leeds regardless of who is in charge or who manages us or who wears the shirt. We need to get behind the lads. The fact is, we are not good enough to go up yet. It is only a matter of time before someone come in and buys us anyway To be honest, I cant believe no one has yet. Maybe there is more to it than meets the eye?... Please don't flame me, it's just my opinion..

Believable3 Unbelievable0

I have said For a long time this season should be a building step budding young academy products

Just read on rumours site ,Ebanks Blake on his way to Leeds if as expected Robbie Keane signs for Wolves, hed be great in the championship, hope its true.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

He was great in the Championship for Wolves good if its true

Agree0 Disagree0

Keane was linked to Leicester yesterday morning (Fri 12th) & by 9pm he was supposedly in talks with LA Galaxy so chances are he (Blake) won't be coming

What a signing this would be if true

cold hard truths people. League 1 promotion winning XI

Ankergren, Hughes, Kisnorbo, Naylor, Johnson, Gradel, Howson, Doyle/Kilkenny, Snodgrass, Becchio, Beckford.

our strongest XI now, no injuries

Lonergan, Connolly, Kisnorbo, O'Brien, Parker, Gradel, Clayton, Brown, Howson, Snodgrass, Becchio.

which side looks the strongest?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

That is not our present strongest eleven.

Agree0 Disagree0

The last one because you only have 3 defenders on the first one... Parker, Hughes, Kisnorbo hardly played. Goes to show how much you actually know about football or LUFC. What about Shane Lowry and Sanchez Watt ?

Agree0 Disagree0

If the main rumours page is to be believed,Ebanks Blake is coming to Leeds as Wolves are expecting to sign Robbie Keane, hope so.

Agree0 Disagree0

2nd as first as only 10 players

Agree0 Disagree0

I would have to say the first line looks stronger and it does contain 11 players unlike the above comment

Agree0 Disagree0

Just to inform you, the 2nd has 11 players and it just goes to show YOU mate........ Shane Lowry & Sanchez Watt are not at the club anymore fella..... Keep up

Agree0 Disagree0

Bradley regularly played LB in L1 and did well, our L1 squad was much stronger, possibly with the exception of Keeper.

What cofuses me (and I am easily confused) is the quote in the YEP tonight (Phil Hay's interview with Bates) from the Council saying that the East Stand development cost about £7m whilst Bates says it cost £300,000. How do the Council know what it costs? Are they funding it? Are LUFC only making a contribution? Who owns the ground? Surely if Bates owned the ground the Council would not know the cost. Anybody got any idea?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Havent a clue,he seems to rant on about anything except squad improvements.

Agree0 Disagree0

Word has it that L.C.C.were approached some time ago for £20m loan but refused on the grounds that they would not lend money to the club because they did'nt know who the owners (would you?)............suprise suprise the owner came out of the closet a few weeks back and then work started a few weeks later ?????

Agree0 Disagree0

As per Y.E.P. Mr Bates accuses Yorkshire people of being tight and the club would not exist but for him, I for one spend all my spare cash on L.U.F.C.as do another 28k fans, did'nt Mr Bates admit in court that his cash investment was nil ???

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the tight comment was more tongue in cheek, he talked about all subjects including squad development so don't no how you got that, must be the hatred of our wonderful chairman

Believable0 Unbelievable2

Idiots the lot of you.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets hope he doesn't do what they want.. could leave is right in the s**t makes me laugh we get promotion on no money, we nearly make it to play offs. surely mid table last year get onto a level playing field would have been good. if we make play offs this year then thats a big step. we all want glory and cups but even if you spend £500 million it doesnt win you the premiership by the way they don't own there ground either but who gives a s**t. all leeds fans surley to god wany success but sustained success not a couple of years then all goes tits up again MOT or almost together

but i herd he is (CAM) get him simon
grayson

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Bates will not allow to sign him and he is a winger/striker is mendy. We have 3 wingers in our team we need one more 2 players for every position sg said

Agree0 Disagree0

Leeds don't play with strict CAM and if we did in squad has nunez, gradel, howson who would play there.

As a supporter of Leeds Utd I think we all deserve a bit of transparency as to what is happening behind the scenes at ER. Ken Bates and Simon Grayson seem full of false promises at the moment and seem to think that the old "in the next 48hrs" line will pacify us. I am personally sick of having the piss taken out of me by the club I love. If we are skint then so be it to don't keep up this farce that we are about to sign x or keen to bring in y. The sad truth is we are not prepared to pay the going wage for a decent quality championship player and certainly don't seem to be able to afford a transfer fee. We might as well suspend this rumour sight all together as I don't see any signings anytime soon under the current regime. Really feel for SG because I think he has become a "yes" man to KB as I don't know another manager worth his salt that would put up with the s**t he has too from behind the scenes. Bates out and let's have some transparency, don't care if we stay in the championship but sick of the smoke and mirrors Bates OUT

Believable10 Unbelievable0

Totally agree with the above

Agree0 Disagree0

Bates in he's the best, would you rather have nothing and no club muppet, god some leeds fans make statements and don't think what would happen, I'm ashamed to call them fans, as for transparency go ask any business in the land or any other football club about how they do business and the inner workings see what they think.....talking stupid get a grip

Does anybody know if season ticket holders who renewed use last seasons card to get in. I renewed in February and have heard nowt from the club - not even a thanks or confirmation.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yes your season ticket will be active for tomorrows game and rest of the season as per ticket office

Agree0 Disagree0

To Quote Bates in YEP:

“Take Alan Smith – we spoke to Newcastle about doing a deal with him and were told that we’d have to pay £1m in wages over the next year. People say £1m isn’t a lot of money but I say to them ‘you put the money up then’.”

WE f***ING DO, WHO COMES THROUGH THE GATES EVERY WEEK, BUY'S THE SHIRTS, TRAVEL ALL OVER COUNTRY WATCHING OUR CLUB, SO BATES SPEND OUR MONEY AND SPEND IT FAST

No Striker in for tomorrow, it's 5.30 and too late for anything to go through for the Borough game, suggest McCormack has an early night he's on his own again up front.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

HI
Wait and see sg done it before sign a player and not said till the match day

I can't remember us ever anouncing a signing before a match - who was it ?

A lot of people posted on here that the mystery striker we tried to sign on 6 month loan deal was Rob Hulse. Just seen on Sky Sports news that he picked up a knee injury a few weeks ago and will be out for 3 to 4 weeks. So I think this was bull by those who posted it. Bates had told the players agent that he should turn up on Tue(Brad Game) or not to bother, Hulse won't be fit for another month and not match fit for 6 to 8 wks. Bechio will be back by then

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Lol, well said mate i saw the same on ss and thought the same thing.

Im a life long Leeds fan ans a season ticket holder at CF Malaga, i cant understand why Larry and batsey arent looking at top european clubs youngsters as loanies or even tapping into Lucas Radebes African connections african players tend to be fast and Physically strong all the atributes we need up front and at the back ,Malaga are splashing the Arab cash but have a few quality youngsters ie Juanmi and Recio they wont get much playing time why not atleast try get players like that? maybe a complete lack of ambition at all levels of our once great club.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

We need QUALITY, permanant signings, with just the odd loanees, otherwise your constantly rebuilding every year, look at the size of the squads in the top tier, plenty of rich pickings there, trouble is due to Bates and Grayson,we cant attract OR keep good players, when Bristol City can afford to pay Killer lots more than us,it shows how far weve slipped, who the hell want to join Leeds now,the amount of players weve been linked with and made offers for is ridiculous,SG and Bates said we were bringing in premiership players,WHERE ARE THEY.

Agree0 Disagree0

Most decent African prospects are picked up by the french, german, and dutch leagues which leaves players to go to CF Malaga need I say more

Agree0 Disagree0

ok to the 'true leeds supporter':

grayson f@cked the playoff place up last year and bates has give him the money he said so hiself in an interview. so its partially graysons fault as well as captain birds-eyes.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Oh well of Bates said so himself it must be true. After all its not like he has a track record of lying to us it?

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree, youve only to look at who were being linked with, the latest being Priskin, another load of crap, even Ipswich fans hopes he joins us,one of Roy Keanes signings, and look how long he lasted, were liked with Priskin Leicester with Robbie, how times have changed, were living on scraps,Please SOMEONE buy Bates out, sack Grayson and get someone in who knows what theyre doing.

I fear for Leeds tomorrow against the Smoggies but hope that Lees and Nunez might make the difference. Come on Leeds.

steve howard made available on loan, ideal 4 leeds, the big guy needed to make mischeif in a white shirt

Believable1 Unbelievable1

He will go to Derby - save him relocating, its a former club and Derby are keen on him. You will miss out an yet another player

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't find anything on any website to back this rumour.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just what we need- just hope he will play for League 1 wages or Leicester will subsidise realising we are no threat

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Aug 2011 14:54:09
every one should realise leeds are building for the future, new boxes wages it all takes time leeds are one of the best
suported clubs in the uk when we get back to the prem we want to stay there so i for 1 dont mind waiting another season if it means we are able to compete in the prem and not come back down at the first atempt, grasons the man to do it for us.

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Team additions 1st, ground updating later,I'm sure most fans agree.

Agree0 Disagree0

Were as far away as ever to getting promoted,we only went up from league one by default,Grayson doing his best to F-CK it up,his loan signings were pathetic, what should have been a formality turned into a nightmare,we cant compete in THIS division let alone the premiership, dream on bud.

Agree0 Disagree0

It makes Bates assets more attractive to anyone wanting to buy off him. only reason why the boxes are being built.

Agree0 Disagree0

Seems a bit pointless building exec boxes, people will only pay money to sit in them if their is something worth watching on the pitch, w/o investment in the playing squad relegation is a possibility, just look @ Sheff Utd and Wednesday. We have been their, for the sake of two or three decent signings we could find ourselves in the Prem League & then boxes might be worth while, but not know on a ground we supposedly don't own

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Aug 2011 13:59:54
Although we've not spent any money, I think we need to remember that Bates saved the club and got is in a good finacial position. And to be honest, I dont disagree with his philosphy of spending loads of money as I would hate to end up in the position we were in last time.

However, I believe we need to bring in a few more players. A big stiker on loan maybe to accompany McCormack, another central midfielder someone like Morgan Schneiderlin from Saints and another commanding centre half, to play alongside Kisnorbo.

I would also like to see Lichaj back on loan, along with Ryan Bertrand to add some pace at the back.

I also think Adam Clayton looks quality, a totally different player and definitley a certain name on my team sheet.

Believable4 Unbelievable4

WOW..someone with sense at last, rebuilding takes time and patience.

Agree0 Disagree0

And how did Bates 'save' us or get us in a 'good financial position'? By taking us into administration, League One and getting £35 million pounds of his debt wiped out at someone else's expense.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would u have perfered the alternative?.... administration... liquidation dunno if u noticed but there was hardly a high demand of people willing to take over....

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Aug 2011 13:58:07
still think we will go up this season and then to all u bates haters i will say i told u so when we are one of the most stable teams in the premiership and bates gives the manager (whoever that will be, hopefully not grayson) a lot of money and we never come back down again

Believable0 Unbelievable5

Nothing in your comment makes sense - with our current squad and the way we are playing there is no way were going up - you are in the minority that thinks bates is right for Leeds ,he's a muppet like you - there is no way we should get rid of Grayson - and Bates will NEVER give out loads of money - go back to playing with your lego

Agree0 Disagree0

You are totally high on medication

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Aug 2011 13:42:09
All this Bates talk is amazing. Has everyone forgotton Mr Risdale? It has taken years to correct the errors of that madman and we are still way off getting back to the Premier league.

On the pitch we have a massive whole in CB and midfield for 2-3 years. Teams run through our soft centre. That is the problem and the manager is responsible. He is tactically poor and can only play one way.

We are not competing with Chelsea or Man Utd. All these idiots who turn up when Elland Road is full and expect Kewell et al to be playing need to wake up. We are an average Championship club We need to show our support and get behind the team.

Believable4 Unbelievable3

WOW...2 with sense in 1 day

Agree0 Disagree0

We have a massive hole in midfield as our two incumbents left becasue our chairman wouldnt pay them a competitive wage, and the 2 back up loan signings we had haven't been replaced either.

Bates saw us enter administration. If that's your idea of saving I really hope you aren't a life guard.

Agree0 Disagree0

No one questions that Ridsdale nearly ruined us , or that Bates has stabilised us , or that we are not as big a club now that we used to be - but the main problem fans have with Bates is that he would rather spend money on the ground than the team,he says we are bringing players in and we don't (more than once) - we don't expect him to spend 6 , 7 , 8 million pounds on players but under his dictatorship we are becoming a laughing stock when he won't spend anything or pay wages that will attract quality players - maybe we should be grateful he got us out of the crap but that is what he is good at , but no team will ever win honours or trophies under bates - it's time for him to go so he can save someone else ( Plymouth maybe) then we can move forwards

Agree0 Disagree0

If Bates hadn't have put Leeds into administration we would now be non existant, we would have been liquidated.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Aug 2011 12:58:24
If Leeds are promoted, we will have to start paying back a serious amount of repayments to the bank, which will lead to us being crippled again. Bates knows this and is trying to keep fans happy while stopping us being promoted into the top flight (he will lose a lot of money as well as the club obviously).

Source: I am an ex board member.

Believable2 Unbelievable3

It's true I remember we used to sit on the far end and draw rude pictures of lady parts on our laptops. Happy days.

Source: I am three other Board Members and Ken Bates on a Tuesday too.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bollocks don't belive that, ive never heard of this anyway, do you have any proof?

Agree0 Disagree0

And I'm the King of England.

Agree0 Disagree0

How can the fans be kept happy by putting together a team of freebies no one else wants , loan players that have no passion for Leeds and therefore giving the fans poor performances for their hard earned money - you must be another business man like Bates and have no passion for seeing Leeds win games - as for the money just getting to the prem would offset any debts to be paid - with opinions like yours I'm glad your a FORMER board member

Agree0 Disagree0

Any payments owed would easily be wiped out by the money you;d get for being promoted, some people talk RUBBISH

Agree0 Disagree0

The amount we would have to pay back would be offset by the revenue gained by being in the premiership. If bates wanted to save us he should stop charging he club rent for a stadium he owns and allow grayson more flexibility with the wage structure.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Trouble is up to last weekend SG thought the same of us

Why not sign Steve Howard on loan from Leicester? He was deadly against us last year and is good with his head and feet. I couldn't see there being much of a problem regarding signing him (on loan) either considering he's way down the pecking order at Leicester and isn't playing any games {Ed001's Note - somebody suggested he was the player that was close to signing on Monday, I am trying to find out if he is right, though so far it doesn't seem it was so far.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

I posted that it was Howard , I was told it was the third time we have tried to get him over the years . Not going to happen by the sound off things though

Agree0 Disagree0

Leicester are Leeds' feeder club. Howard may indeed go out on loan but club leading for his signature is Derby who are in negotiations as we speak. Sorry another player youve missed out on. Its also worrying that LCFC 5th choice striker would be greatly recieved at Elland Road

Agree0 Disagree0

Steve Howard hates Leeds so its a non starter

Agree0 Disagree0

Worrying that LCFC "excess baggage" would be welcome at Leeds?

Let's get one thing straight about grella the man people think should play, the reason why simon snubbed him is because he is a greedy sulky little t--t why.Last season whilst on loan at carlisle he decided to cut short his loan spell against simons wishes, once you do that you loose any respect the manager had for you, also simon said end of last season he was surplus to requirements and wanted to terminate his contract which would have freed up a few quid for someone else,no he would rather sit on his arse and see out his contract playing x box all day ,he's not fit to wear the shirt,he's not good enough anyway

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Why does any of your points prove that he us a greedy sulky little t--t.

Grella is better than Paynter and thats a fact

Agree0 Disagree0

Grella has said himself that he is seeking a move away from ER, he isn't sitting on his paycheck till his contract ends, however he has also said he has a desire to still play for Leeds, but seen as this seems very unlikely he'll look at alternative options..

This was on his twitter before the Grayson enforced blackout.

12 Aug 2011 11:58:06
I hope the fans concentrate more on getting behind the team tomorrow than slagging of Ken Bates ,as much as I agree with the Bates out campaign i think all anti bates chanting should be done outside the ground, the team itself need the fans to be the 12th man on the pitch.

Arsenal want 250k for the winger Which is a bargain sign up Grayson

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Sadly I don't think we will sign Sanchez as SG already gone on record (Mendy) saying we do not need wingers.

Three more weeks before the transfer window
closes, yet Simon has not address the LB position.
The areas that Leeds needs to fill up is the LB,
and CF. The RB position can be taken by Tom
Lees. Leeds can bring in a loan striker until
Beechio recovers. The LB is a problem for quite
sometime. This position can be taken by Lichaj
only if Simon can sign him on loan from Aston
Villa. Adam Clayton can be the holding midfielder
for Leeds while Howson, Nunez can play as attacking midfielder. O'Dea more suited to
partner Kisnorbo in the centre of defense instead
of LB. O'Brian and Connoly should be taken out
and fill up by O'Dea and Tom Lees. The defence
should be strong enough if this players are put
in their correct positions. A concerned Leeds fan.

Believable5 Unbelievable1

I think we signed o'dea as a left back because we couldnt get no one else.

Leeds united are in the top 6 for the highest wage bill in the league. Don't no how when bates will not pay mich for wages.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Perhaps it includes all wages not just playing staff, particularly Bates wages?

Agree0 Disagree0

Great post - you managed to contradict yourself in two short lines

Agree0 Disagree0

Leeds in top 6 is the fact that means KB pays the top 6 highest wages in league, all the crap about bates being tight is just rubbish kb pays good wages just not premier league wages, time for players to be sold that would free up the wage budget

Agree0 Disagree0

Yep we're big payers. that'll be why Eustace turned us down to sign a contract at Watford, Montgomery turned us down to stay at the blunts, and Bogdanovic turned us down to join the Blunts.

what the hell is going on a elland road and with leeds united i am a leeds united fan and have been since the day i was born 21 years ago and cant understand this
1.why the fook do we spend 7million upgrading the west stand when it was perfectly fine and up to current premiership regulations When we could have spent 3-4 million bring 4 quality proven championship players in to gain promotion then concentrate on upgrading the stadium ( even thou it does not need doing )
2.people who are saying to protest against SG need to look at what position we were before he took over and look at what he did with hardly any money again. keep the faith in grayson i say he is a good young manager and is also a leeds fan.and you can see how much passion he has for the club
3.We seriously need to get BATES out of leeds he is taking the club in the wrong direction and its only gonna be a matter of time before he sells the club and pockets all the cash the money grabbing tight tw@t
4.Max Gradel has stated he wants to stay at the club and would not be the player he is now if it was not for leeds and grayson so why the hell has he not been given a long-term contract ????? i just dont understand
5.going of the performance against southampton i can honestly say that it was 1 of the worst performances i have ever seen

and finally i think we will struggle this season and can not see us finishing in the top half of the championship we have conceded 5 goals in 2 games wtf thought the main aim was to bolster the back 4 and we aint done that kisnorbo and o brien have been rushed back from injury and it shown in the last game im starting to worry about my much loved team i have been passionate about for soooo many years

TIME TO MAKE A CHANGE LEEDS UNITED AND GET BATES OUT HE IS A TW@T AND A MONEY GRABBER AND LETS ALL GET BEHIND THE TEAM WHOEVER IS IN A LEEDS UNITED SHIRT WEARING ARE STRIP I WILL LOVE AND ALWAYS CHEER THEN ON
