Good start to the season! I like how we set out push are wide men onto both fullbacks prevents fullbacks pushing on, we need cover at centre back, let's move Pugh and Norris on . We need a striker I fear if rossco gets injured we have no cover polean raw but great pace, smith raw needs time at this level! MOT flight 609 google it!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Are you forgetting diouf he can play upfront and think he would be perfect in the number 10 role the same as McCormack and can pass the ball as good as McCormack maybe better and he has quite a shot on him the problem is he's a bit of a d**k head.
Del Boy

Agree0 Disagree0

Obviously you haven't seen any pre-season. Ross being playing in the hole behind 2 strikers (Varney, Hunt, Poleon, Smith). White has also being playing in the number 10 role. Diouf can play there too. We need a centre half.

There's only 1 Michael Brown
There's only 2 Michael Brown's
There's only 3 Michael Brown's
There's only 4-98 Michael Brown's
There's only 99 Michael Brown's

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I'm not sure if this is some new chant but I thought the song was
Number 1 is Michael brown
Number 2 is Michael brown and so on
Then we start singing we all dream if a team of Michael brown a team of Michael brown.
Del Boy

Agree0 Disagree0

Michael Brown was MOM against
Chesterfield!
Steve H. {Ed013's Note - As it stands he is also the Clubs leading scorer, well 1 of 4 ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

No it is there was one michael brown
there were 2 michael brown's and so on. {Ed013's Note - There may be many versions, the one I hear in the Kop is number 1 is Michael Brown, number 2 is Michael Brown, number 3 is Michael Brown number 4 is .................... to the theme of the Beatles Yellow Submarine and it has got to 99! We all dream of a team of Michael Browns etc}

Decent player but when it comes to the CRUNCH he lacked BITE and he can't really have any BEEF about being moved on!

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we should let him go for peanuts.

Agree0 Disagree0

Norris not going anywhere at minute. he's got a broken DORITOE

Agree0 Disagree0

I would jump through hoola hoops if we got that much for him.

Maybe signing for Barry (French) Frys team or perhaps a swap deal with Rotherhams Ben PRINGLE!

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Aug 2013 20:08:12
We shouldn't sell Ross, we should get a good striker to add to him and a speedy winger.
But in reality if gfh can't afford anything else I'd take selling him if it ment getting le fondre or someone as good as him,
We won't score many with Varney and hunt.
One way or another we need a goalscorer. Grant holt would have been good. He will be prolific.
What about keeping what we have a getting billy sharp on loan.
We need a poacher. shrew leeds

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yes I'd get Billy Sharp on loan. Good call. JD.

Agree0 Disagree0

If Morrison would of stayed we wouldn't need a goalscorer or sell ross he will score atleast 15 goals for millwall

Agree0 Disagree0

Billy sharp hates Leeds.there's another Billy that plays for Valky thistle. Knocks em in for fun. Irish kid. BNF knows of him

Agree0 Disagree0

Lee chapman hated leeds but that didn't stop him from joining us did it and look how good he did

Agree0 Disagree0

Varney and Hunt are real grafters. We've got a great team spirit at the moment. Why is there so much negativity? Those 2 and Ross, Smith & Poleon will all chip in with goals. We'll get them from midfield too with Murphy. We need a centre back. Get the defence sorted first.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Aug 2013 19:48:25
Barry Bannan anybody?Aparantly he's available for 800k.I know he's another centre mid but he would be perfect on the left side off our diamond.Drop Green to bench play Austin holding role with Murphy and Bannan just ahead of him and Ross in the hole.be a very creative midfield that and Bannan would suit our passing game plus he's only 23 so 800k is a real bargain.I know he didn't set the world alight in his last spell here but he didn't play much and he's since had prem experience.I say snap him up Brian and hopefully get afew older centre mids out of the door ie Brown and Norris.Bannan can also play wide left which could be a option.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Rather have Dawson . haven't seen anything in Bannan that would justify spending £800k.

JDC

Agree0 Disagree0

Greens done really well for us, i'd keep him in team

Agree0 Disagree0

Green hasn't done well for us this season.

I was a big fan of his last season but so far this season he has been caught on the ball so often missed a couple of sitters and contributed very very little.

I want Austin to be our new captin but reading the papers it says that bmd hasn't decided who our full time captin will be he says it could be warnock McCormack or even murphy but I want it to be rudi or McCormack. And with the other thing I posted was I think it should be smith and varney upfront because their center back Gardner is tall and someone disergreed with me and thought poleon should be there instead of varney, and if we put poleon out to start who will come on later because bmd says he sees poleon as an impact player but then again I prefer poleon to varney.
Del Boy

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Sorry guys I've just been on newsnow and seen that rudi is officially our new captain sorry my bad but I still think that poleon should be left as an impact player.

Del Boy

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with you in general about poleon being an impact player mate but he also needs the odd start and the weds game I think is ideal whilst his confidence is up and doing well

Agree0 Disagree0

I like poleon when I'm playing training with my teams Bolney and lindfield I try to play like him closing the defenders down and making the right runs into the box.
Del Boy

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd go with Poleon and Varney against Wednesday, our two fastest forwards against a very slow Wednesday defence, if we played it on the floor we'd tear them up!

Great game yesterday, fans was fantastic and a well deserved point. Smith looks a bit hopeless to be honest gave a lot away( off sides and fouls) but room for improvement. Thought pearse has stood up to the mark and done a good job. Peltier lacks that attack down the wing that young Sam gives. Also poleon looks dangerous when he is on and would like to see him start.see ya sat buddy's Neil Hearsum

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Pearce and Peltier a liability. hopefully Sam can cure one problem, and Peltier shows he is a better Cg than RB

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Aug 2013 21:44:39
How can u say Pearce was a liability when he help hold 1 of the leagues best attacking teams to a 0-0 draw he did a good job at the back. Don't no what some people watch at the game seriously.

Agree0 Disagree0

How can you come to that conclusion after Smith being on for around 10 minutes. He won the ball in the air, nearly laid on a goal for Green and caused some concern to their centre backs. The lad's young and needs more experience. He's not the only one who has strayed offside playing for us, and he won't be the last. He's also not the only one who can't control the ball (past and present) Chapman was the same, yet look at the amount of goals he scored. Give the lad a chance, he's young and inexperienced, but wanting to play for our club.

Tickets for Sheff Wednesday not selling too quickly. Perhaps its down to the cost as this is Cat A game - £11 more in Kop than Brighton game!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Thats no excuse not to go let's all buy tickets for the game saturday and help the team once again just like we did against brighton

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Aug 2013 17:39:33
Wont sell many tickets on yesterdays dour showing!

Agree0 Disagree0

If fans can't afford to go then fair enough but all the fans that said they would return when bates goes need to stand by there words and start backing the club again we all need to be united!

Agree0 Disagree0

Its only monday chill out, tickets will sell regardless of price if fans want to go i.e chelsea last season

Agree0 Disagree0

Its on tv aswell.

Agree0 Disagree0

In league 1 we had 25.000-30.000 every week regardless if it was on TV or not SUPPORT YOUR TEAM ken bates was a pathetic excuse not to go we should get elland road to max capacity every week even if we are playng bottom of the league. M.O.T

Agree0 Disagree0

OP here. I will of course be at Elland Road on Saturday. I accept that the board have done many things to assist the fans recently including lowering ticket season ticket prices however In my humble opinion I do believe that televised games should be no more than a Cat B.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Aug 2013 13:05:41
I suppose gordon greer was the player bmd was talking last week. Since he's signed a new deal at brighton turning down bids from us

Believable0 Unbelievable0

What a great performance by the boys yesterday. All over the pitch we looked an improved side. Austin and Pearce had great games and Poleon looked as sharp as ever when getting his chance.

This is the sort of game we would of lost last season but thanks to Brian and his staff they have got us playing well and mainly "as a team"

I was impressed with our style of play and we should of got all 3 points in honesty but before the game I would of settled for a clean sheet so happy overall.

Peltier was my weak point (but in fairness to him he didn't have a bad game) If we can play like that all season and get Sammy back at RB we should be in the fight for promotion come end of the season

Come on Leeds! let's batter SW on Saturday

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Not quite sure how you can say we deserved 3 points, draw was fair for both teams, I personally think we are going to struggle to create and score goals with the current squad, can't fault the players for effort, maybe we are just lacking a bit if quality in the final 3rd at the moment.

Agree0 Disagree0

This sort of post just reiterates why some people are fans, and some know something about the game. wake up, reasonable performance, Austin good, but no goal threat, and not from the want of BM trying! We need 3 players, striker and a CB, and why have Smith if no wingers?

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Aug 2013 10:24:17
Yesterday's game emphasised the desperate need for a winger, quality of crosses was poor. Good point nevertheless. MOT

Our fans sang their hearts out. For long periods of the match that was the soundtrack.

Everyone doubting my inside information and calling me Johnfitsy blah blah blah. showed my class by telling you ALL about ruddy being captain well before the Leicster game. (ED post this on rumours so all them calling me a rubbishter can see, thanks).

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You showed your class?. then you lost it again by posting on here like a baby. A well educated guess would have led most of us to Austin being captain. Now, if you really do have inside info tell us the identity of the 4th mystery signing. no?

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm sorry but ruddi ain't going to be captin next week it'll be another person like McCormack or warnock because the last game green was captin the peltier so ruddi probably won't be the captin for the rest of the season.
Del Boy {Ed013's Note - Austin is the new Club Captain}

Agree0 Disagree0

Looks like it was brighton skipper Greer

Agree0 Disagree0

Okay ill show my class again. The mystery 4th signing was Gordon Greer from Brighton, but they wouldn't let him leave. BOOM. I have inside info, and proved everyone wrong here FACT!

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Aug 2013 14:05:05
At various times over the last couple of months youve said your "contacts" had said we'd be signing, Roger Johnson, Kevin Doyle, Titus Bramble, Stephen Hunt, Chris Humphrey (who signed for Preston) ALF, Nathan Delfounso, Albert Adomah (who signed for Boro) Matt Mills, Fran fielding (who signed for Bristol City) Gary Mackay-Stevens, Johnny Russell (who signed for Derby) Matt Kilgallon (who signed for Blackburn) Ryan Hall was off to Everyon, Sunderland or Hull, Brown was leaving on a free to take up a coaching role which so far have all proved rubbish. Only correct thing you've said so far is about Matt Smith signing for us. let's be honest, half of twitter & FB had suggested Austin would be the new captain back when Peltier said last month in the YEP he might not keep the armband so think you can stop patting yerself on the back until a few of the targets you've named sign on the dotted line.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks for the update on Greer Adamstani07. After speaking with MY contact at Leeds I can confirm we won't be signing Suarez either. Boom - factamundo - you heard it here first! Keep checkin my updates for more top secret info on players we won't be signing shortly after they've gone public to announce signing newc contract at their current club!

Agree0 Disagree0

Brighton have posted that they have turned down bids for Greer, you only have to be able to read to know that. Your predictions are guesses, mainly way off the mark. BOOM to you

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Aug 2013 15:50:54
hey gary kelly left foot, not my fault the lack of investment or better offers elsewhere made us lose targets. And unlike twitter I wasnt guessing about Austin. I knew he was going to be announced club captain this season and that's why I posted it on here well before Leicster game.

Agree0 Disagree0

We'll off the mark del boy, you plonker! couldn't resist! ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Can you tell us what are the 39 steps

Agree0 Disagree0

Proved your class! lol
Chapel a, shrew, irish white, Ausman, the fallen giant are all names on here with some respectability but you. YOU'RE JUST A JOKE!
In fact why don't you change your sign-off name to one more appropriate like amastandupcomediani
BOOM!
Now you carry on obtaining valuable intel from your inside sources (the voices in your head) and leave the serious stuff to us grown ups.
The Fat Man

Agree0 Disagree0

Showed my class with Matt Smith and Ruddy Austin. Still have doubters, I reckon its jealousy of my inside knowledge within the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

I mentioned about austin possibly been a outside bet for the captaincy a couple of weeks ago and got shot down one post said why would he get it when he can't speak english like that makes a difference

I think todor and wootten would do it. We Seem to be farly solid at the back, we have good holding and a bit of creativity in midfield, add a bit of pace and decent deliveries and I think we should get in play offs. Mcd seems to be getting a lot more out of the players, poleon and austin looking good. Early days but 4 out 6 is good. Be nice to hammer shef.

12 Aug 2013 07:03:27
What's people think about letting poleon start against Sheffield Wednesday? I think it's worth a go with his pace and attacking threat!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

For Wednesday my midfield trio would be Austin, Murphy & Tonge and my attackers would be McCormack, Varney & Poleon. So far Hunt hasn't really looked the threat that Poleon has and I think Smith requires wingers to unlock his full potential. Tonge instead of Green would add that bit of creativity to the midfield.

Agree0 Disagree0

Leeds utd have been playing 4-2-1-2-1 and McCormack has been playing as an attacking midfielder or the number 10 role if you like and we haven't been playing winger and it should we should be playing very narrow. And I think vs Sheffield wed we should have smith and varney up front because they have a big centre back Gardner so smith would be perfect and leave poleon on the bench as an impact player. Del Boy

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree stanners. Poleon and smith and a new winger too.

Agree0 Disagree0

Disagree again del boy, I understand what u say with Smith but what will varney bring that poleon won't? Yes he is a grafter but poleon will run all day aswell, and as a striker u don't always want him dropping to deep so to catch them on counter! McCormack will do the dropping deep, perfect time to help bring poleon along! Just my opinion mate

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Aug 2013 23:01:19
Happy with result, we never really do that well at leicester, but Pearce was no good in my opinion, think poleon should be a starter as he threatened wheno on, and smith caused them trouble. We are not going to get automatic but a play off place is well within our grasp!

Ketlufc

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Pearce ran austin close for man of match for me

Agree0 Disagree0

Who should we play up front Poleon or Hunt, one is pacy, direct, tricky and really worried Leicester - the other is Noel Hunt.Amidst some great decisions by BmD including making Rudy captain, the stand out decision for us was Pearson preferring Vardy to Wood. If the officials had seen the shirt pull we might well have stolen all 3 points

Agree0 Disagree0

Delighted with the result and a point . however, we should have won the game, the shirt pull on Dom Poleon was a definite penalty and Paul Green should have put away his opportunity.

Excellent point today, matched Leicester man for man even though they have paid a fortune for their team, BMc bringing the best out of our only average team. We would probably have not scored even if we were still playing but defensively we were strong well done to them. Three or four new first team players and the others dropping to the bench would mean we have a real good chance of play offs and a strong squad, I would hate to see a couple of injuries and suspensions we would be struggling. Come on and let's make this a season to remember. A few more signings please
