Tend to agree with most points, but Bates is an honest guy. Look, regarding the stadium investment (which includes about 5 phases i think including covered arcade hotel museum new clubstore and nightclub) if the rules on football governance change i.e; expendature based on income revenue streams, then bates plans have to be applauded.

Johnson was only ever using Leeds as a stepping stone to get back to the premiership where he feels he belongs, you say Brown has no feeling for Leeds, Yorkshire means more to him than it does to Johnson who is a London boy at heart, no doubt if Norwich go down, Johnson will jump ship if someone comes in for him.

Look guys all these rumours are abit far fetched I don't blame simon for not signing players he wants to see what he's got before he spends silly money on a bunch of over paid muppets that won't fit in. When we have these 2 friendly's we will see what we need then we will get a new goalkeeper and mabby a new center mid and possibly center half if you remember last preseason he got scared and loaned and bought crap players who we loaned out in january (fede bessoen, adam clayton) these year he's buying what we NEED have faith. Btw sanchez watt is a terrible player I'd rather have loaned centre half then a muppit winger when we have 2 quality wingers and a good one on the bench ( lloyd sam). Rant over
Agreed, but you also need to understand the later they come in the longer itll take for them to gel in the team, therfore we'll have another slow burn to the season. We cant afford that, look at last season. We might have finished in a playoff spot if we werent so slow to start.

Rachubka replaces Higgs, Brown replaces Killa. Both upgrades in my opinion..
Now gotta replace Johnson, Schmiechel & McCartney n then, with Nunez, Lees & White coming in & McCormack n Paddy from the start of the season, I think we will be up there

Has any one seen the list of free transfers. There is some good players that would deffo inprove us. Upson, killgallon, reo-coker, j-loyd samuel, gera, hargreaves, faye, Barnes just to name a few. So it doesnt bother me if we get free transfers like it seems to bothers everyone else. Two or three of these and i'll be chuffed.
The thing is that none of these will agree to the wages that Bates will offer.......sadly

He's looking at erimenko, barnes, Quinn, stockdale, montgommery too. I wouldn't mind seeing a cb name in there or a striker.... But SG is filling gaps and there starting to roll on in now

Getting a bit bored of all the negativity on here come lets be positive MOT
Whats to be positive about, we have lost a keeper for the future and replaced him with dross (Rechubka), we wont get Stockdale just as we didnt get Westwood, we have bought useless hasbeens like Brown, our chairman refuses to spend money, his tight wage bidget is unattractive to any potential targets and not of that looks to be improving. I think we wil lstruggle this season
We've got rid of average players who didnt want to sign new contracts. admit that kasper was a blow but sounds to me like there's something amiss there. all the positive signs are there for stockdale so calm down. brown will be a great addition to a very young midfield, we've also got people coming through who shoudl step up like Lee's, Nunez oh and it sounds like the club is confident Kissa is fit too totherwise he'd not have been offered another contract - thats like a new signing itself
To person who said we will struggle next season, that is what ppl thought this time last year. Defence wise we effectively have a new signing in Kisnorbo and Ben Parker, midfield wise the same with Nunez and White who didn't figure last time. Plus signings to come, so how does that make things worse? Killa and Brads weren't that special anyway, and obviously lost the desire to play for Leeds. MOT. Roll on new season.

I think Ken assumes that SG will do same this season and improve but without realistic dosh again. Me thinks there will be some 'EXPLOSION' this season. KB making comment on any poor performances and SG will respond having been denied cash. I really fear that expectation and hope for a decent season will be blown apart by KB's lack of financial input during the transfer period. We have had the years of the feast and the famine and sown the seeds for the future. Investment in playing staff is the only way up

Hungarian goalkeeper Csaba Somogyi has joined Fulham on a one-year deal.
The 26-year-old free agent is Martin Jol's first signing since taking over as manager at Craven Cottage in June.
Somogyi, who impressed Jol in 2010 during a trial at his former club Ajax, will compete with Mark Schwarzer and David Stockdale to be number one.
However, Somogyi's arrival could pave the way for Stockdale, who has been linked with a move to Premier League newcomers Swansea, to leave Fulham.
Note: Could also leave a move to Leeds open?

Heard from a friend of Matt Pears(fitness coach)that mood and morale amongst Leeds squad has NEVER been better.Everyone fit and raring to go.Club has progressed every year under S.G.and hope we have another great season. M.O.T.

Can I ask why everyone thinks we need to spend money to bring in quality or prove ambition? SG/KB will select the right players at the right price, and if a CM (Which we need) that can do the job required, and is available on a free.... well I would go for him too, rather than spending money that don't need to be spent or paying greedy, jumped up ex players that show no loyalty too much money to come back
