Just a question because it's interesting, LUST stated on their radio broadcast posted on twitter last night, that many of their members were boycotting games, how many of those members will actually come back when Bates goes or will they find another excuse to stay away....they also said the atmosphere being bloody terrible he obviously doesn't stand in the KOP where I do, yes it could be better around the ground but the KOP especially creates a good atmoehere who are they meant to be representing again?

Believable10 Unbelievable2

The kop doesnt have a good atmosphere anymore its all bates out chants and no one getting behind the team. Most the people in the kop only know the Bates out chant it seems at the minute thats why the atmospheres poor. Away games are good atmospheres but thats it.

Agree8 Disagree10

First poster. That's absolute garbage and an insult to the guys in the kop the bates out chants do happen but as our own manager has said time and time again the crowd lift the team or don't you listen to him either? This anti Bates thing although we hate the guy when were WATCHING the lads on the pitch that's where pur thoughts and chants are with. The lot that go on about no atmosphere probably don't go and wont until were in the prem fair-weather supporters

Agree4 Disagree4

Your post shows that you are NOT attending games. The fans have been fantastic this season , have thought up new witty songs and are really vocal.

Morley whites {Ed013's Note - I totally agree mate}

Agree5 Disagree1

Everton game was a brilliant atmosphere, took my 10 year old lad and 13 year old nephew in the kop instead of the east stand and they loved it.

Agree3 Disagree2

Read Rudy Austins view on the atmosphere at Elland Road then the bosses then all the other players. Considering they've all played or managed in the bosses case in front of other fans I think they're more qualified to answer the question

Agree6 Disagree1

The atmosphere at Elland Rd is positive, the Kop section are behind the team and NW. I have not heard constant shouts or chants of Bates Out, you must be going to the wrong ground. We Are Leeds United, lets not be divided !

I have supported Leeds since 1954 unfortunately I like many many other LUFC supporters cannot afford to go to matches due to the cost of tickets until the price of tickets comes down I'm afraid you will never see a full house at er ps if we do get into the prem what will the price be then mot

Believable8 Unbelievable1

Sorry mate but if you wanted to go to elland road you would. They can't give the tickets away. Don't get me wrong, we are all feeling the pinch.

Agree1 Disagree16

Silly second post.not everyone can afford to go to games.im lucky, your lucky,a lot of people struggle to put food on the table so please don't ridicule fans that can't go.its like bates saying I don't like Monaco cos I can't go every week then him saying I could if I really wanted to.think before you post rubbish

Agree16 Disagree2

I can easy afford to go every week and would love to take my grandson whose 5. but because of bates we go to farsley or guiesley sometimes to the rhinos his dads ronnie rhino. its more welcoming honest and value for money. plus you know the monies not going to fund a parasite . rant over mot

Agree2 Disagree1

People are skint got families to keep that's more important than going to games I took my boy for the first time to Shrewsbury game cos it only cost twenty quid for the both of us that's what it should be all the time football was a working class sport now it's getting for people like you who are comfortable financially and can slag people who are less fortunate. Than you

Agree8 Disagree0

Not all people who want to go can't afford to, and that unfortunately is a fact of life. However, if people who don't want to go can at least be honest instead of blaming the non-attendance on Bates. I can't for the life in me think of anyone who wont go because Bates is the chairman yet on here there are many people who SAY they dont go cause of Bates- in reality the wife won't let em out but they daren't say so!

Agree1 Disagree1

Last poster im one who wont go cause of bates. i can afford to go and have done since 1966, home and many away games. since bates has been incharge ive only been to 2 home games i was bristol rovers the other was wolves game on a freebie. the total ive paid bates is 32 quid. if you feel strongly as i do about ppl like bates you draw a line. if hes gone tommorrow i will go again simple.

On the last leg, drawing to conclusion, nearing it's end are all statements made by various parties. But mean absolutely nothing! Nor I or fellow LUFC supporters have got a clue what's going on, despite confidentiality clauses the club have a duty of care to the fans who ultimately are where the main finances come from to keep the club afloat. Without breaking any agreements it would be prudent for the incoming new owners to outline realistically when this will be complete, or at least issue a cut off date that if not complete by then it simply won't be happening, and then we can all move on with our lives. Constant unrest because of lack of factual information will do nothing but create uncertainty as to the true intentions of the new owners. You are making a rod for your own back.

Believable9 Unbelievable3

Am in total agreement with you pal, cos there is that much b**l s**t floating about its caused so much anxiety in a lot of fans, Its also caused fans to bicker between them selves causing a divide, We should all try and forget what is or isn't going on behind the scene and get behind the Team..MOT

I'd much prefer to see talent coming from the academy than us if we had it spending money on players, hopefully this Dawson kid can get a few games.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

If he can get a 3 year deal without a senior appearance, he must be better than Byram.

Agree2 Disagree1

2nd poster what a foolish statement. No 1 - just because you are promising in youth football doesnt make you better than someone who is good at senior football. Remember when our youth teams beat man utds in the FA youth cup final? They have Butt the Nevilles Scholes Beckham etc etc etc... we had probably one or 2 players in that team that made it. Also Byram also had a 3 year contract before he made a senior appearance they just improved his 3 year contract when they saw how good he was in the senior team.

Agree0 Disagree0

Byran only had a one year contract to start with. Warnock improved it to three soon as he'd seen how good he was.

Would leeds be open to welcoming pennant back on loan! on a website that he is going out on loan somewhere

Believable5 Unbelievable10

Would be a good player for us again but would really like to see players that will be around alot longer. They just seem to give you that little bit more.

Had a seance last night and across the astral plane I had a chinwag with the Don, sadly Bremner and Johannsen couldn't make it, billy was having a manicure and Albert was learning to play the trombone with Glenn miller, anyway whilst getting tonight's winng euro numbers(5 7 19 47 33) Don said Bobby Collins is on his way back in Jan, Harvey is jacking in his post round on the Isle of Skye and Aizlewood is the squad player NW is signing.

Right I'm starving after being up all night I'm off to Ranchburgers on the Headrow, don't get the gurkings they are rank. Don said keep the faith and he's chinned Tinkler for his crappy non offside decision.

As much as I hate Bates, I am going to reserve judgement on new owners until they have been in place for a while. Bates is the devil we know, with him at the helm we are garenteed mid table obscurity with the bonus that any good players will be sold on for his profit and maybe a slightly better ground.

However we know him and know thats what he does, with the confidentiality clause in place we have no clue over who or where the takeover is coming from (I think GFH are frontmen not the actual takeover group). Yes we could get an Abramovic or the guy who took over Man City, his name escapes me. But equally it could be a Venkys or Usmanov (one of the guys who ruined Portsmouth). I know it can't be as bad as the Portsmouth problem now as the FA have put measures in place to counter that but just giving it as an example

Don't get me wrong I want the takeover to go through, I hate Bates and what he has done/hasn't done for the club but I will not be celebrating the takeover straight away until I see what sort of men we have in charge.

Believable4 Unbelievable3

Yea I know what u mean by it all and I'm worried also more for the fact that it has taken nearly half a year to complete if it ever does and they come out with such things like "these things take time" true they do but even bates dirty deals can't take 6 months to sift thru! And all these story of funding issues are coming from somewhere, there's no smoke without fire! But and its a big but is that the saving grace in all this is that the head guy is an huge Leeds fan, and why would he want to put his own club in trouble! This wasn't the case with the examples u set ie venkys. I just hope he hasn't been so blinded by the fact he wants to own the club he supports that he refuses to see the.money issues they have, time will tell but I'm gonna remain positive on this one

Agree3 Disagree1

I am a based in Bristol White and was at the game and unfortunately in the Bristol City Dolman stand with a couple of mates who are City. Oh how i enjoyed it! What struck me was how much noise The Leeds faithful made compared to the City Fans. The Leeds fans made more noise than the rest of the ground put together. It makes you realise that the real value of Leeds is us, its fan base. That is what makes us the number1 choice for anyone serious about taking over a football club. Whenever i go abroad i always meet Leeds fans. We are the real value as we have stuck with our team through bad and good. The futures bright, the futures white, so lets stick together. MOT!
