i was hoping that brian mcd would be able to tempt Alex mccarthy back to er permenntly. I thought we had a chance until the way he played 2day

I only saw him at ellend road twice and I wondered why he was even on the pitch. I was also there when he played for Ipswich against us and he got sent off. Maybe he's done alright today but I can't see why anyone would want him back. Can't be that good if reading loaned him out to Ipswich last season.

Id love to see him back he had a cracking game today!

The life or Brian - Part One.

I was unavoidably detained elsewhere today and didn't even find out the result till around 4-30pm, never been happier in the whole of this season, especially when I found out we went a goal down.

Like most of you, I think, I am happier about McDermott who has signed up for 3 years than I ever was about Warnock who was chasing his own glory.

Lets just step back a little, and give GFH a little room, as I don't see them putting a foot wrong so far in 'real' terms?

Okay they cancelled the fans forum and they are not the most vocal company ever? They have to try and appease the most expectant fan base in the country?

But do you seriously want a 'mouth' like Warnock that features on every thread of 'News Now' and spend the whole of the time talking himself up and the team down?

For once in the past nine years or so I am now looking forward to next season, and it is STILL mathematically possible to reach the playoffs.

But I seriously won't hold McDermott to account if we don't actually reach them?

Dare to dream now Warnock's gone, let's hope Bates follows suit.

Watched Warnock on Sky this morning. He was speaking about his years as a football manager. It was Sheffied, QPR, and all that and he's affilliation to Leeds was very evident in so far as we didn't get a mention. Good Riddance!

i think its almost certain bristol city are going down this season and think we should put a bid in for adomah can't imagine him costing that much.

Just ask yourself why Bristol City are going down then?

Personally I don't know much about Adomah but what a stupid response. Look who was playing for us when we went down from the premiership. Teams often go down with good players on their books. I despair.

Great 3 points today. Good all round effort from the lads. And the main thing elland road just felt like elland road again for the first time in a long time. Mot.

A full elland road would be so much better though come on guys is that so hard to ask let's fill the ground up and create a fantastic atmosphere for the last 2 home games

Until Bates has gone the answer has to be yes, I am afraid.

Actually I HAVE supported Leeds through thick and thin for over 40 years mate! Untill Bates has gone though I'll just have to wait and be patient.

Now I might be very wrong here and I have been to only one game this season, due to distance and job commitments. I listened to the. game on 5live today and I have to say, the atmosphere after the equalizer was electric!I would just like to thank all the faithful who managed to get to e. r. today for rousing the boys and being the twelfth man!I'm quite optimistic for next season if b. m gets the backing he thinks. he will, and ill be honest don't think he will need as much money as other managers!playoffs next season would be great and a push for automatic the season after would be fantastic. I just hope for a decent solid season for a change!mot forever!

What a nice win against Wednesday to usher in the start of the McDermott era. Congratulations to Brian and Neil and all the playing staff. please keep it up and make all the Leeds fans worldwide proud. Another 4 points from 12 should see us safe and then we can build for next year.

Get real. NO team has ever gone down over 52 points. One team on 52, one on 50, every other team in the last decade has been in the 40s. We are not going down.

First time for everything. Reckon this season could break the 52 point record.

Fact. We don't win many on a Tuesday nights. Fact. No first half goals in 17 games. I think I'll stick with my original 4 points from 12. If i'm wrong i'll be the first to hold my hands up and say it.

very encouraging. Mcdermott set up the team the same way as Warnock to see where we were going wrong. made changes when needed and turned the game around. TACTICAL KNOWLEDGE

Well well well. Those players can win! well done team and mcd. From the text, looked like we actually held on under pressure. What a difference 24hrs makes. Its just one game but it is so nice going into a game believing we can win. I haven't done that for a while. And I know its only one game but how nice to have a tactically aware and astute manager. I am so bloody excited. Roll on next year!!

Diouf made all the difference.
Yes - great substitution but I don't see why anybody couldn't see Diouf best position has been RM.
Why Warnock tried to play him as a forward later in the season to accomodate other players I don't know.
I would even play Diouf in CM with Austin so that Diouf can spread the ball more to the left as well.
Although if we get a decent young CM player with the ability to last 90 minutes then Diouf should continue on the RM.

Fantastic result, at last we have a manager who makes changes and can read the game, shows how one dimensional Warnock was, completely no idea. With financial support from the board maybe just maybe we are going the right direction and next year we can take the league by storm. Back the manager with some cash GFH. MOT

Tuesday night another big game let's turn up in are numbers and sing our hearts out for the lads

If diouf was played at the end of each match or as a sub we wouldn't have conceded all the late goals, he kills off games as he did today

From now on let other teams see elland rd as a point if we play badly.
Let other teams think they need 3 goals cushion with a munute left to be sure of a win.
Let our midfield win tbe ball and head straight for opponents penalty area like strach, mccall and speed.
Return elland rd to a place not for the feint hearted.

Sometime Ausman you talk b*******, but if you ever were at Elland Road when Strachan, McAllister, Speed (and Vinnie) were around you'll understand why that hits home.

I watched the home game against Hull City where Vinnie scored his only goal and things just erupted after that, we knew we were going up!

I had to sit in the car park for hours before I calmed down enough for the long drive home.

Not sure if my heart could take that sort of pressure these days, but what a happy way to go.

McDermott has been told he has a 3 year contract and he has full support from gfh including shiny coins to spend he has also said he wouldn't of taken any other club in Leeds position but because it's such a big club he said he couldn't refuse and McDermott was the only man Leeds approached for the job he also has a track record of getting cheap young players and selling them for a huge profit
