The players I want to see come in at the end of the season
Need a striker who can score to help out mccormack so how about billy Sharp and what about Nicky Maynard?
We need wingers too so how about saga but will probably be at Orem next season but hasn't done to good at cardiff so might have a chance

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Omg we have Cellino yet people like you still want Sharp and Maynard. Dear o dear

Agree0 Disagree0

cellino will spend 1 - 2 mil on a player . don't think we will spend 30 mil on a few players because we won't . billy sharp would be a top signing . I just laugh at people that think we will spend big and pay top wages . cellino will look to cut the wage bill to start with in the summer and then the rebuild will start properly

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we will be looking further afield than standard championship journeymen which in reality billy sharp and Maynard are.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think people need to start looking a bit beyond rhe run of the mill names we have been linked with PreCellino put your FM game down & think as Cellino might think, you might just surprise yourself Maynard, Sharp etc c'mon use your imagination.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sdlufc you spot on mate I agree we have had enough of journeymen for the last few years but I would love another lee chapman a player I never rated before we signed him I also questioned the signings of whyte jones kamara and to a lesser degree davison. my argument is not the most talented of footballers a couple of journeymen amongst them but that's what is needed at this great ckub players with passion

Agree0 Disagree0

I Think the new team should be based around New and young talent, mixed with the players that can really put a shift in.Luke Murphy got his chance on Saturday and took it well.He played in a positionheknows well.Pearce has played better this season.Marius Zalucas, every time he played this season, apart from Sheffield Wed, the team were unbeaten. Why has it taken all this time to get him back in the squad. The best partnership for me was Ross and Dextor Blackstock .I think that paddy Kenny has been hit and miss but I don't think he should have been left out as long.He may have let himself down in a couple of games, but it's been a hard learning curve for Buckland. l think we should consider some of the development squad coming in .Ross killock and charlie taylor to name twogood defenders.Young Dawson.Young Mullhern.scored a hatrick against recent opposition and the list goes on.Modesty and Byram speak for themselves but there is a lot happening in the background.A lot of players have to go.Reduce the hangers on. On and off the pitch, The club is been drained from within.NOT only players, staff as well.too many big wages for very little talent. We've got to start all over again, if we're ever going to make a challenge to get back in the premiership.

Is it me or was Ross just going through the motions yesterday, didn't look like he wanted to be out there. Hope not but has his love affair with LUFC come to an end.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Thought he had a poor game. Couple of missed penalties. Poor control. Could be just going through one of his bad patches. He has them quite regularly. Makes up for it in between but he is inconsistent. that's why he was allowed to leave Cardiff - they wanted more consistency to go for promotion. Number of goals alone doesn't tell the whole story.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes it does tell the whole story without ross we would be right down near the bottom of the league 28 goals and how many assists that's a fact we would be doomed he's carried this poor squad for to long we need quality and hopefully cellino will give us that

Hands up those of you out there that would love to see Larry back at ER next season as Preston's manager? I'm sure we'd get a packed house for that game.
MOT

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I'll keep my hands Down on that, seen enough defensive horror shows to last me a lifetime and he was the start of it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hopefully he willl - That will be four promotions in 10 years for Simon, which is no easy feat.

If not let's see him at Elland Road next season in our dugout.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hopefully this time we'll win 6-4

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope he does, got a lot of time for Larry and wish he was still here. But great to see him doing well.

I remember when we changed from blue and gold to all white.
Don Revie said he wanted Leeds to be like Real Madrid.
We were as good as them weren't we?
Why on earth did we change other than to rip off the fans every year with new kit.
I seem to remember at some point we had an all yellow away kit qhich was fine.
Any thoughts please.
Jeff

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Apparently he said it was not changed to emulate Real Madrid, it was so our players stood out more in an all white kit, rumour is Massimo is wanting the all white kit for next year, similar team to Revies would be good and all, we live in hope.

Agree0 Disagree0

I have seen them play away in, this is difficult to type. r e d

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally wrong.
The Don said he admired Real Madrid if you don't believe me ask his son Duncan.
Jeff

Agree0 Disagree0

Red is not Leeds ever

Agree0 Disagree0

Does anyone know when our new kit will be out?

Agree0 Disagree0

Uch.
That's nasty.jeff

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes he did say he admired Real Madrid, but if you search why Leeds wore white youll see Jack Charlton suggest Revie thought it woulld be easier to pick players out better if we wore white, why don't you ask him, i'm sure you know him.

Agree0 Disagree0

From a distance the current brown or gold away strip looks like the players are naked. Awful strip.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just plain white for the home strip. No fussy additions. Nothing else. I think I've said it before but the best kit ever IMO was the Strongbow one. Away kit? How about blue and yellow vertical stripes?

Agree0 Disagree0

Nice one rhino.

Agree0 Disagree0

My favourite away kit is the blue and black stripes it was amazing

Agree0 Disagree0

Got to say that I hate the current away kit . It looks like its been used to mop up in a urinal . I would love to know the games played, games lost ratio when this kits been worn. We've lost an awful lot of games in it. Plain white for home and bright yellow for away, instead of the dome coloured thing!

Not a Hunt fan but crowd booing him on to the pitch spoiled what otherwise was a great day(Hope it was to show displeasure at Smith departing, but I don't think it was). It was never the Leeds way. I have seen a lot worse players who were supported even when they were worse than awful. I remember, in recent times, one particular goal keeper from Blackpool.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

13 Apr 2014 11:54:09
Booing a player who has just come on to the pitch is not the Leeds way and given Hunt's many deficiencies his effort is something that cannot be criticised. However, it could be what Hunt represents that was at the route of the reaction from a minority of the crowd. Hunt is the end product of some poor transfer policy by the club that saw becchio swopped for Morrison and then Morrison loaned to Millwall to accomodate Hunt. I would argue that both of these strikers mentioned would provide a greater goal threat as they spend more time in the box. The release by Cellino of Hunt's 25k week would not help his cause although I think his wage is mixed up with Kebe. Finally I think that Brian's insistance to play Hunt in a vain attempt to prove us all wrong does not help. Even if Brian was kept on and allowed to spend millions on players he would still find a place in his matchday squad for Hunt because he is his man, despite the fact he cannot hit a cow's arse with a banjo

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agreed - Hunts had plenty of chances - brian needs to admit his error - and be honest about it - irrespective of his loyalty or 'friendship' with Hunt: Professionally it was a poor signing and the lad is finished at this level. Brians reluctance to admit this and other s poor choices only leaves him open to the fans distrust and annoyance. Massimo needs to bring in another style of manager - keep brian on if he wants to stay as a coach or manage a lesser club. there is too little time for loyalty when results, tactics and transfers have been so poor. Gibbs can stay too but a coach ina european mould is now required -like the top Prem clubs OR if English then Tim Sherwood is the style of man i'm talking about - shrewd and not afraid to speak from the heart and act on his own beliefs. I like Sherwood

Agree0 Disagree0

Not saying sherwood is poor but what's he actually done as a manager?

Just reading the Phil Hay article in the YEP does anyone else find the analogy that was used stating 'GFH must have thought it was Xmas' when Cellino bought the club is a bit strange - do Bahrainis even celebrate xmas!?! Unfortunately I have nothing else to get picky about. Off to play golf.

This is a great site even more so when negativity is replaced with hope . hat off to the eds the site is only as good as as they make it . great banter from mostly knowledgable leeds football fans long may it continue . feels almost normal again . I get the feeling we have our club back . forever united.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Great result yesterday and the team played with much more spirit, it was a welcome change leaving for the Peacock at 2.0 up rather than 0.2 down maybe we will stay the full 90 mins soon (mot)

Great to see the site full of Football talk and banter again, not the usual takeover/administration doom and gloom - even the relegation posts have gone following the 3 points yesterday - can't wait for the transfer rumours that will follow now

why do you think BMD changed tact by this I mean stand where he did and have a tracksuit on?

it can't be because his daughter told him to can it really.

well pleased with the win bring on Barnsley

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Apparently it was his daughters idea. A bit of change to create a change. i'm sur MC had nothing to do with it!! We won so that's
great.MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

Way I look at it is. By wearing a tracksuit that's seen as more of a coaches outfit and a manager wears a suit. Maybe MC's is to getting his way already.
MOT
PS, What a change in Murphy yesterday, he was excellent, bargain at £1m and £22k per week!

Agree0 Disagree0

Should have let his daughter pick the team and tactics.

Great result and happy end to a happy week. Murphy was briilliant. think most of knew he had that in his locker. Think we are safe now but would love to go on a run and end this torrid season on a high.

Very very disappointed Hunt booed today. he's not the first and won't be the last but I can't stand all that rubbish. I agree he's not set ER on fire but you can't knock him for his effort lads. In fact he's a bloody hard worker but never been a top goalscorer. OK he's not a scorer at all this season! Sounds stupid, but if we had more players with his attitude we would have more points I believe. He don't hide anyway. MOT.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Well said mate sick of reading negative posts we have turned a corner now get on and enjoy the new beginnings

Agree0 Disagree0

Fans pay good money to watch Leeds and have every right to show their displeasure by booing, it happens at every team in every division, yes he works hard but is employed as a striker, so its hard to understand Mac bringing him on if we need goals, what is it now, no goals in 20 matches?, i'm sure Poleon given more game time would have knocked a few in, at least 2 new quality strikers needed.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cork white
If you look back I said exactly the same as you mate, if we had 11 hunts
On the pitch we wouldn't be giving out about players not trying, playing with pride etc and relegation talk would be NON existant ;)

AndyMOT

Agree0 Disagree0

And where would the goals come from with 11 Hunts, without Macs goals we would be in the bottom 3, but he needs support.

Agree0 Disagree0

Macs goals did he provide the pass before he netted his goals aswell?

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha, yes, he took the free kick, ran after it and headed it in, what a player, Hunt indeed.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree with AndyMOT, hunt getting a bad reception when he puts 100% effort in is VERY poor.
Other players walk around and don't get slagged off, I'm assuming it's the 25k wage tag (that he denied was false) that's getting the fans backs up.

It's a new era support the owner/club/team/manager/players as confidence will bring out the best in EVERYONE ;)

It's amazing how quiet it is! 3 points v happy! Should be ok against Barnsley!?! But how many points do we think we can get out of the remaining games and are we safe?
