Er we were 3rd divison then. This time next year i want 2b in prem not teachin sum sweaty sock how to play

Agree3 Disagree11

Yeah because all Scottish players are awful at football and no one good has ever come from that league and been a success.

On another note, who's that statue outside Elland Road, I've always wondered that?

Crmd {Ed013's Note - I was thinking the same!}

Agree18 Disagree0

Theres a man named Gary Hooper at Celtic - seem to remember him scoring over 20 goals for Scunthorpe in this league... ah but he's in Scotland so he's now crap :(
Just because the league is crap (they don't get enough funding from Sky) doesn't mean the young players or some of the unknown entities are, here's some names you might of heard: James McArthur, James McCarthy, Frazer Fyrie, Steven Naismith or what about that other crap striker of Rangers..erm...Jelavic

Agree7 Disagree0

What a ridiculous comment the only times we are successfulis when we have scottish players in our ranks i.e bremner, the grays ,lorimer, gary mac and strach just to name a few.

Agree14 Disagree0

Should be ashamed.Billy Bremner was rubbish was he??

Agree4 Disagree0

Suppose viduka larsson where crap aswell bcoz they where in the Scottish league

Agree1 Disagree1

Forgot bout those 2 famous scot lads viduka n larsson wat a great national side WE had then. Just remind me was jelavic born in aberdeen or was it ayr.

Agree5 Disagree0

I agree there has been good players in the past playing in Scotland you all forgot gazza but I think at the moment spl level is same as championship at best but they could be a few diamonds in the rough

Agree0 Disagree0

The Scottish league is that bad they have a team in the last 16 of the Champions League. Any player from Celtic would walk into any Championship team and the majority of PL teams. I would take Mulgrew, Wanyama, Brown, Kayal, Ledley, Hooper or Stokes at Leeds in a minute. And there are loads of good youngsters at other clubs like Hibs and Aberdeen.

Agree0 Disagree0

Leigh Griffiths is quality, one of the SPL top scorers, Wolves dont want him, eye for goal, hed be good

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the original poster was refering to the standard of scottish players, playing in the spl, which i agree isn't great.the better one's already play in england. From the60's through to the early 90's ,there was an abundance of top quality scottish players most of whom won everything from league titles, domestic cup's and euro trophies(us liverpool forest derby everton celtic rangers aberdeen etc). What happened was the mass influx of foreign payers to the spl late 90's,and financial probs. KEA

Agree0 Disagree0

I think in all honesty the championship is better than the spl

As a scotsman i say again i wouldn't sign a scot. My national side fifa ranked 70 thats below albania and cape verde islands.

Agree0 Disagree0

Strange that when Strachan was at Middlesbrough he signed a load of Scots and they couldn't beat an egg.

Agree0 Disagree0

Scotland has some good players, the coaching up there is what's wrong. and stubbornness to play players based in England over SPL guys.

Funny how people keep linking us to all the stand out players in the championship, saying 2mill for this player and 3mill for another, thing is what can we offer that other promotion chasing clubs can offer. Why would they sell there best assets to a rival club with the same ambitions.
Examples been Austin, Hughes adomah ect. Chances are we will get decent players that haven't been mentioned before,no one mentioned Tate or Thomas before but seem like good additions,

Believable10 Unbelievable1

I'm sure he says anyone from Scotland with could mean player or from the league u plank

i would love at leeds utd this january, charlie austin, will hughes, and harry maguirer also a left back parr from palace, what do u think? mot

Believable11 Unbelievable3

Austin and Hughes are unfortunately pretty unrealistic, Hughes more than Austin. But who am i to deny that it will happen, dare to dream and all that jazz

The yep doing it again getting us all excited about maxy wanting a return to Leeds. All he said was he had a love affair with English footy , no mention of Leeds. The depths they will go to sell their rubbish paper that informs us of info we already got via other social networks. Maxy would be top of my list but don't think he would come or we could afford him.

Believable5 Unbelievable9

He's hardley going to say I want to join Leeds in January is he.

Agree5 Disagree3

My point was that the yep take a throw away comment and invent the rest to get our hopes up. He's more likely referring to playing in the premiership one day.

Agree0 Disagree1

Maybe liverpool ? I`m sure they`ve been to scout him ? dp

Agree2 Disagree1

Is Gradel really that good or have the rose tinted glasses been dusted off again? i remember his passion (and temper) but mostly I remember an average pacey player in a poor championship team, maybe I'm wrong. We really should be looking forward not backwards

I love how people hate the idea of Beckford joining because of how he left etc yet have seem to forgot how Gradel left.

Both did exactly the same thing yet somehow Gradel is loved and would be welcomed back with open arms yet Beckford is a touchy subject that divides opinions.

Gradel forced his way out of Leeds by handing in transfer requests and not signing a new deal which meant he had 10 months left and we had to sell him for 1.5m.

Beckford run his contract out but tried his best to the very end and got us promotion.

I would love if both players came back because both of them are amazing footballers, people who say Beckford are a L1 player are wrong, apart from his season at Leicester he's done well since leaving.

He scored 8 PL goals in 32 apps, he was 1 goal off been Evertons top goal scorer that year yet people say he failed?

Believable22 Unbelievable9

I'd have both of them anyday - great players - they'd get us to the prem

Agree16 Disagree2

Beckford, diouf, gradel, boyd, and mks and were going up with out a shadow of doubt. plus our loanees and maybe a better lb.

Agree9 Disagree2

Beckford - 1.5mill gradel -2.5mill mks 2.5 mill and boyd -1mill wow think we mite need 10 million lol

Agree3 Disagree5

I would of had beckford back in a flash until warnock said last month that he did try to sign him on loan but he choose the udders... thats why i dont want him back now {Ed013's Note - He never said he chose Uddersfield over Leeds}

Agree18 Disagree2

I think it's pretty self explanitory who he choose ed {Ed013's Note - It was a case of Leeds didn't have the cash to push it through where as they did and he wanted first team football}

Agree9 Disagree0

I don't mind having Beckford back but Gradel is the priority. The key with Beckford is his price tag. Don't want to spend more than a million to get him. He will also play better if he gets rid of the big time Charlie persona so a big price tag won't help that cause. He would be great coming off the bench.

Agree2 Disagree1

Ermmm whereis he now? is that not enough to not wnt him back! LIAMMOT!

Agree2 Disagree2

How is it Becks fault we couldn't agree terms with his club? him going to huddersfield was his only option for 1st team football.

Leeds couldn't agree terms with Leicester City and it had nothing to do with Beckford (He still gets paid the same wherever, it's just huddersfield offered to pay more %)

If it was a straight fight between us and we could offer similar money I know he would choose us.

Agree4 Disagree3

If he wanted to rejoin us he could have agreed to take a reduction in pay to make up the shortfall. not beckford he left us to hang out to dry once and would not hesitate to do it again. its time to move on he thought he was to big for our club we should stick 2 fingers up to him and show more ambition there are better players out there we really should stop posting we want beckford back posts all that is doing is feeding his ego which is far too big as it is {Ed013's Note - Why should he, you are just bitter that he left. It is not a case of him taking a pay cut, he is in a contract for a certain amount of money over a certain amount of time. Would you take a pay cut in your job? I know I wouldn't, I have kids to feed! Anyway, loans are not all about players taking pay cuts, they demand a loan fee and then an agreement between the 2 clubs on how a players wages get paid. Beckford had one option, Huddersfield and he took it, Leeds didn't have the funds to make the deal happen}

Agree1 Disagree2

His agent had been in touch with leeds last season to come back, but kb wouldnt pay his wages. I believe kb said this in an interview?

Agree3 Disagree0

Hopefully the 2 clubs in a season rule will come into play so he cant play for us... id rather have CMS

Agree10 Disagree1

Cms is a much better team player in my opinion he is constantly running forward and backtracking when needed. Do we want someone who will sulk if he doesn't get the ball and will only run when he's in the mood ?

NW has found perfect replacement for Tonge, some player with the initials SC from Lapland United, apparently NW sees him as the perfect playmaker alongside Rudolph in our midfield, they've worked together before and have a pretty good partnership. NW wants to use the xmas tree formation and leave the 442 behind, NW spoke about SC recently " he's not the youngest player ive ever signed and yes hes been round the houses a few times but although he's a fat lad SC can get about a bit, I'm particularly impressed with how he squeezes in and out of tight situations" his nickname is The Sleigher...

Leeds also looking to resign Villas Fabian Elf on loan

Believable11 Unbelievable11

Poor effort mate...sorry

Agree10 Disagree5

Emile heskeys banging them in in Oz. what a pine that would be - campbell, hargreaves and heskey. bags of pace

Agree3 Disagree8

Heskey is absolute garbage lets just end the conversation there

Agree13 Disagree1

13 Dec 2012 00:16:54
Wouldn't even bother signing Tonge permanently. I'd spend more money on someone with quality. I honestly think we should take a Sol Campbell (gamble) with Owen Hargreaves, if he can stay injury free (I know it's unlikely) he'd be the best midfielder in the league.

Sol Campbell?! i've heard it all now.

When do Chelski get back from
Japan? Wouldn't it be GREAT if
they are suffering from jet lag?

Believable15 Unbelievable0

We need Chelski to get to the World Club final, go to extra time and penalties, the final is Sunday, with any luck they'll be f****d, put their 2nd team out who may be half as f****d, and we must be on our game on the night, crowd included , to get a win.
Marching On Together!

Agree18 Disagree0

Lets hope they get given a hard Tome in Japan and get stranded at the airport on the way home. Boys and girls we need to be the 12th man, lets show them overpaid money grabbing Londoners who we are.

Who are we? LEEDS!!!
