Quit slagging off MM he got sacked from a weak prem team which was pretty good last season, just poor transfer window! Managing a middle of championship team(with current squad) he will have easy time of it! MM to be manager! This Chris miller guy would realise this!

Great article written by the Daily Mail, not usually a paper I read but it sums up my sentiments exactly regarding Ken Bates & Leeds.

flblog.dailymail.co.uk/2012/02/leeds-stuck-between-a-rock-and-hard-place-with-bates-holding-all-the-aces.html

Believable7 Unbelievable1

That is not a great article whatsoever, just someone else who knows absolutely nothing

Agree1 Disagree6

As I said it's a great article in my book as it SUMS up how I feel about Bates and Leeds

I am sorry to see supporters of this great club still speculating over who will be the next manager, It's going to be relegation redfern he is the cheapest option, just what Bates wants, Bates has always hated leeds and it's supporters, he will not support the club in any way that does not benefit him directly, that's why there has never been any money invested in the playing side of the club, only in the stands and business parts of the club, because it will make Bates more money when he does decide to let go of the reins. He did not save Leeds Utd he saw them as a meal ticket for his future, he got the club relatively cheap slapped us straight into administration to reduce the debt to next to nothing then set upon his plan to rape the club in any way he could, he hated us years ago and he hates us now, the man is a tyrant and a disgrace and is laughing at us from his little tax haven in monaco, anyone that had a genuine interest in Leeds Utd would have bust a gut to get us in a position to succeed, this man is happy to do every thing on the cheap, he has no intention of re building this great club to it's former glories, 47 years man and boy I have supported this club, and I have never known a man to be associated with Leeds Utd as vial and poisonous as this man, I just wish with all my heart that this era of Bates comes to a quick and abrupt end for the sake of the club and the people of this great city that love Leeds Utd.

Believable10 Unbelievable4

The only good thing is watching Bates make a real mess of it I think he's digging a big hole at the moment making him look a real person .

Agree1 Disagree0

A good passionate post

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry but I think you're wrong! I don't like Bates and know what he's said about us years back BUT he's a business man and by the fact he owns us and knowing what people like him are like, I doubt he wants to fail and lose a boat load of cash. He's in to make money first and foremost - that's his main focus. He knows that he has to swallow his pride and try to get us promoted so he can sell up and them make a healthy profit on us - it might not feel like it or seem like it but think sensibly, he wants to make his money just as much as we want the club to do well - money is his passion just as much as LUFC is to us. Like I say, it really doesn't seem like it sometimes but he's not rich enough for him to be screwing the club just for kicks. Keep the faith (I know it's hard right now), when he's gone, things will improve but I for one am grateful that at least he's got us financially stable and isn't doing a Ridsdale and gambling the future of the club (whether he's doing or done it ethically is a completely separate argument!)......MOT

Agree5 Disagree3

If your clear objective is to make money you obviously want to get the best value in return for your equity - in terms, if Leeds are worth X3 of the current value in the premiership which in turn creates creates more revenue for the bates motel - would you not speculate to accumalte a little - i know i would

Agree0 Disagree0

Relegation Redfearn?! Give the guy a chance before you condemn him!

I live in Scarborough where rumours that david batty is part of a consortium looking to take over leeds utd,may I state at the moment this is just a rumour but a very strong one,but this is true why would i use david battys name randomly unless true.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Why in Scarborough?

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't know i heard it from a few people also I think batty lives here also so maybe they heard it 1st hand

Agree1 Disagree1

He lives in Settrington which is 15 - 20 miles away, cant see him having anything to do with football these days but you never know

What is it with darren o'dea and all these interviews with him. A) he is absolutely pants B) He is not even leeds united player is it just me or does it drive anybody else crazy? Where are all other strong voices in our squad. Just makes me wonder where are all the leaders are.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

O'dea is speaking up as he is wanting to make a big impression on the club so he gets a permanent contract

Agree0 Disagree1

It's well known that Darren wants to stay on after this season

Believable0 Unbelievable8

13 Feb 2012 18:05:34
Does anybody know who this Chris Miller is? just googled it...you've got an actor, democratic candidate for us elections, american footballer, web designer....no sign of a wealthy business man

Believable6 Unbelievable4

MD of Leeds commercial haulage co.

Agree5 Disagree0

He made his money in property and oil in the Gulf in the 90's and early 00's and easily has the finnancial power to buy out Bates

Agree1 Disagree0

Have got to say that I have never heard of the guy but if he comes in then don't forget that if he is a businessman then whether a fan or not it will still be run as a business and so it is likely that nothhing much will change from the present situation. As the old saying goes, "be careful what you wish for". Sometimes better the devil you know!

Heard from a source close to warnock, that he isnt coming to Leeds and never was.

Believable2 Unbelievable4

Thats not true, chris miller is a close friend of warnock's and has worked with him before, and miller would bring warnock in to manage us

13 Feb 2012 16:55:22
Ed - dont you think some of the Zambia players would do well- didn't stop running to the end- Oh and the Manager - from Unknowns to kings of Africa- in your Face Drogba -Toure and all highly paid Ivory Coast players. KB bring them in!!! {Ed013's Note - I didn't see the Final but my guess is they are too expensive for Leeds. They wont play for free!!! Although I agree with you, it would be good to have a team of players that graft for each other and prove everyone wrong}

Believable3 Unbelievable1

A lot of the players at elland rd probably couldnt spell the word graft never mind actually do it.where is all the snapping at the ankles of the opposition gone-what all the good young players of our once great club were feared for?they earn their money far too easily at elland rd at the moment.

Agree2 Disagree0

The problem is the players are on good money for this league and they know if they go up most will be out on there ears and earning a lot less in div 1/2 ,so it suits to stay in the championship ,the likes of snodgrass ,clayton ,lees are all gone in the summer any way hence the lack of effort.

Agree0 Disagree1

13 Feb 2012 16:28:30
Something for Mr Bate's to ponder over.

Neil Redfern managed 3 non league teams, he took all three to relegation before sacked/left.

He is known as Relegation Redfern in the non league circle's!

We were poor against 11 at Bristol City and created nothing against a Brighton team who offered nothing(until they realised we were there for the taking)

It's a cheap option for Ken, but surely not for the good of Leeds!!

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Redfearn is a good coach and an asset to the academy. Would be best he goes back to that role

Agree1 Disagree0

13 Feb 2012 15:59:05
mick mcarthy manager
terry connor assistant
neil redfearn 1st team coach
this would work well as we have the skill we just dont have the passion and desire to win these would make the team perform harder whilst still having the skill to hurt teams

Believable6 Unbelievable3

13 Feb 2012 15:46:33
Please dont hire steve bruce as new leeds boss. He is god awful. Anyone but him. I would happily have redfearn over him, warnock or mccarthy for me. I know mccarthy has had a tough time but he has a passion for leeds. Just dont hire bruce, please. {Ed013's Note - I agree with not hiring Bruce, even KB must know that is a big mistake}

Believable9 Unbelievable0

13 Feb 2012 15:10:08
Please oh please dont let it be Mick McCarthy; anyone but him. I dont think I could live with having to listen to his dull drawl week after week. {Ed020's Note - i like his no nonsense aprroach, he's experienced in bringing up teams and keeping them there, would be a great addition.}

Believable4 Unbelievable6

He makes poetry sound like a shopping list for Jewson!

Agree1 Disagree0

If you want to be involved in the PL relegation fight evry year, then McCarthys your man, but not the one for me.

Agree0 Disagree4

So warnock would be the alternative? least MM keeps teams up

Agree3 Disagree0

Not necessarily, he's done well with a very poor squad in the premiership and with a small budget.....sounds familiar doesn't it?! Really like the guy - is full of passion and appears to get players motivated. In all fairness with the resources he's had he's done well, especially last season and think if Doyle had not got injured and been out for so long they may well have been better placed and he'd possibly still be in a job. Despite all this, I still think Warnock is our best bet......just have reservations about whether he and Bates would be a huge clash of personalities and because of that, if he's even been considered

Agree3 Disagree0

So warnock would be the alternative? least MM keeps teams up

Agree4 Disagree0

Warnock all the way! I said at the start of this year there were only 2 things that would leave me head in arms in dispair...

1) that fish face Wallace & Gromit lookalike Labour drone becomes our 'leader'.

2) that bent nosed drawling Barnsley bafoon becomes our 'leader'.

If either of these things happen i'll have to move to North Korea where i can be lead by the son of the great leader, a 29 year old power crazy imbicile who is nevertheless likely more paliable than either of those nitwits!

Agree0 Disagree1

Grow up gentlemen. Either Big Mick or Neil W would be heaven sent!
Both are significantly better than anything we've had under Bates' reign of the club
Therefore, unlikely we'll see them - unless they have turned mute and decided to work for free!

Agree1 Disagree0

13 Feb 2012 13:48:37
Ed Can we do a VOTE please on if we want Mick McC ?
Agree to have him as next manager
disagree not for him to come anywhere near

Hearing rumours that Leeds fan and business man Chris Miller is planning on trying to take over the club. What do you think? Miller IN Bates OUT

Believable12 Unbelievable3

Ive heard this on a few occasions now from a group of people who know a lot about the inside of the club and they see this as a bright prospect

Believable8 Unbelievable8

Agree4 Disagree1

13 Feb 2012 12:12:42

13 Feb 2012 12:12:16
I'd go for Mick McCarthy now! I think he would jump at the chance to come to Leeds. He would love to have the last laugh against Wolves by getting us in the prem and Wolves being relegated. He would be great in the dressing room and is used to not spending money!

Believable7 Unbelievable5

13 Feb 2012 11:25:32

this manager NR reminds me of david o leary not making subs till the last minute no thought put into em ya i know im not the manger but this is what i'd do see 4-5-1 leave ross up with rogers just behind! snoddy right or left white other wing saves him messing up at the back cos he's simply a crap defender but still has job up and down touchline the team are just not chasing down the ball round its just like watching statues the problem with this team is gonna be if NR is given the job till the end of season if so were finished
we need a man in thats not afraid to drop players who don't perform cant stand a manager sticking to same systems regardless of previous performances that simply don't work bring in some of the youngsters up the ranks they cant do much worse of a job than some of the players in 1st team were not gonna get promoted now that assured but we wont be relegated either so a chance to change things around big time start dropping under performers cos they need a good kick in the ass and realise there's no guaranteed place in the 1st team for players bar goal keeper only then will players start to look at themselves and there performance cos its starting to look like the players want NR to replace SG simply cos they get an easy ride knowing there in the 1st team for next week even after mondays training session its total madness!
never watched the highlights of game against brighton too pissed off to watch it! well just a thought ppl! irish leeds fan

Believable2 Unbelievable4

If u didnt watch it how the hell do u know they deserved a draw and brighton are the form team in the division at the mo and i for one want redfearn if its between him and warnock lambert if he is availible please dont comment on the team performance if u cudnt b a***d watching it

Agree3 Disagree1

Ross aint a lone man mate, needs a partner

Agree4 Disagree0

How do you know rodgers (a winger) would be any good behind the front man? he hasn't even played

13 Feb 2012 09:35:05
bates lying through his teeth again to us good fans, is it hell the first time he has refused to sign a player, we sold a player for 2 million? but it wouldve cost 1.5 to fund the contract, so wheres the money from the sale of the other players gone ken? oh yeah i know, your back pocket

Believable5 Unbelievable2

Well if you noticed bates was saying we had over spent on player budgets for the yr jan 2011 to jan 2012 by 2 mil so he welcomed the sale of howson which now we are evens on player budget. bates is not bothered as long as he is not making a loss

Agree2 Disagree1

A loss please dont make me laugh leeds turnover 35 million a year 13 of which is spent on club staff players facilities etc and seven for the development he just doesnt want any of his profits tapped

Agree2 Disagree0

Who did we sign for this 2 mil please tell as I seemed to have missed them?
