Where is mad mick? If your out there Mick please get in touch to show you are still with us. A trick I found is to pretend to swallow your medication then spit it out when Matron goes. If you have access to a phone, as I believe a lot of your type do, then just phone Elland Road I am sure they will pass on any messages. If you want a few of us will spring you next visiting day. I hope one of the lads has a car we can borrow as my 20 year old Lada is not up to pulling any bars out of walls. Anyway I have just had my back bumper re chromed, come up a treat it has.

Has MM been banned Ed's? you should put a picture on the 'sightings' page leodis so we can all enjoy the re-chroming (is that a word? )

{Ed033's Note - No, username Mad Mick hasn't been banned.

Maybe Mad Mick is a glory hunter so he's staying away until we're doing better?

He'll be away a long time then ;)

Just relooked at the league table and if we win all our remaining matches and every other team loses all theirs then we will still miss out on automatic promotion (on goal difference) so things are not looking too promising but we must not give up even if it means I sneak onto the Craven Cottage pitch (unnoticed) then at full time give myself up as an ineligible player surely worth a 10 point deduction?

I think it's just his Latin brain not engaging with his Latin mouth. A more level headed version of Cellino. And the common Denominator - Italian! I think owners as a race should keep their heads down and their mouths shut.

Bloody crazy is this league. Villa give wolves a drubbing, now looking like losing at home to QPR. Hull winning comfortably, and doomed Barnsley looking like getting a point from Norwich. so much more interesting than the PL!

Class, your post is spot on, having a opinion is one thing, but just because it’s different doesn’t mean it’s negative as one would suggest on this site, it’s saying how that person see it, and believe it to be, and as always the proof is in the pudding, but unfortunately idiots see it as your not a Leeds fan, or you can’t be Leeds fan, it just goes to show how stupid they really are,

Agree1 Disagree1

13 Mar 2018 18:56:01
There’s definitely a trend developing on this Site. When people have strongly criticised as is their right to do so, they say they are derided and accused of not being true fans. They explain they are passionate and entitled to their views! They’re bloody right. Conversely when other supporters champion a positive outlook, or dare to support heck or Radz they’re wearing tinted specs or are paid posters! Well we’re not, we just have a different passionate opinion. Point is back in those halcyon days of Mad Mick (please come back Mick) opinions were respected, banter far exceeded decisive comments and attitudes. This is my view, my personal opinion it certainly would not dare to state this was factual nor expect all to agree with it. Only respect it as an opinion from a fellow Leeds Supporter but MOT has to be more than this. Of course I respect someone whom forever reason the owner, Orta, Manager, team has decided they don’t want to go anymore, or support their team, I don’t understand it but I’ll respect it. Mick where are you. ?

13 Mar 2018 20:13:40
It's not quite like that Class but I have wondered recently on the whereabouts of Mad Mick. Perhaps his SIL finally caved in?

13 Mar 2018 20:25:08
Class you’re posts are always bang on mate. You are right everyone is entitled to their opinion but I still believe some, one or two, are unnecessarily negative. These lads just bring the site moral down and it’s no wonder the likes of Mad Mick have got pissed off. Either that or he has eloped with the sister in law!

Agree4 Disagree1

13 Mar 2018 21:56:06
I don't think that the tone or the content has changed much. There will always be pro and anti posters but I have noticed one or two replying to any posts with differing opinions with confrontational content. A bit too "in your face". Thankfully it is only a few and hopefully they will move on to other sites where people will take the bait and a slanging matches will ensue. Thus leaving this site to the regulars and any new level headed poster, who is more than welcome, no matter what his opinions. This is, and always will, be a welcoming site for enjoyable BANTER from anyone with Leeds United in their blood.

I always like to have a pinch of salt handy, whether here, or the dreaded bookface. but totally agree on most fronts. Differing Opinions and disagreements are part of everyday life, and many of us are guilty of not handling them correctly from time to time, but the one thing that stands out for me in your post, Class, is MOT. that means something special!

Radz is attempting to deflect blame from ownership and upper management and onto the players in the hope of preserving fan loyalty and crowd attendance. Radz, tip for you. Don't give 4 years to League One standard players. I don't disapprove of your player sales of better players. Taylor and Wood had to go but the answer is not to use those monies for longer term contracts of lesser players. That is what you call "demented". There are several posters on here who really know the game and the division. Why not seek their opinion on recruitment and player retention? Can't speak for others but I'm sure their services would come relatively free because they are passionate and committed and that's because they love the club and city from the heart. Like your predecessor said, you can't buy the love. 4 year contracts to League One standard players don't buy passion. It just put lipstick on a pig. 💋🐷 #lipstickonpig

13 Mar 2018 20:11:28
Thanks Martyn. I still think Radz is doing a fairly good job but it's the hypocrisy and attempts to delude fans I object to. The fella bought back the ground and he's revitalized the academy. It's currently to the cost of the first team but that can change in a year or two when more funds are available but blaming the sorry state of affairs on so-called underperforming players is the wrong way to go. Only RV is underperforming. The rest comes as no surprise because they aren't very good to begin with. Radz rebuilt the assets Cellino failed to address or stripped. More time is needed hence why Radz said 5 years. Radz ought to know he said that because Cooper is very average and Radz for financial reasons decided not to pursue Flint and players of that ilk. Radz, recognize that Phillips is only a squad player and Okane is utter garbage.

Agree8 Disagree0

13 Mar 2018 20:47:16
I agree with you, Georgie-Boy, about Radz's cynical attempts to play the fans and not address the real issues. To me we look to only have an improved version of Cellino - at least so far. And anything similar to Cellino ain't good. Pep Guardiola probably wouldn't get much out of our boys. if the eggs are off there isn't going to be a Michelin star omelette! And Radz is the owner at the top of this tree so HE is ultimately responsible. He has selected Orta, the manager and seemingly issued the long term contracts to muppets. He isn't doing too well is he. My concern is he looks at risk of repeating similar mistakes to Cellino (new players on the cheap, let the better players go, talk a good game but under-deliver) . And then guess what. he achieves jack over the 5yrs and sells up for a modest profit whilst the fans have been cheated once again. I honestly did initially think Radz was much better than this but the evidence so far is not good.

Agree3 Disagree1

13 Mar 2018 22:17:24
The way to be an outstanding owner is to surround yourself with outstanding advisors. So far the only direct critisizm I can level at Radz is his unwise social media posting. Needs his PR man to say "just take a deep breath and think twice Mr R. George, on the face of it too many average players are on too long a contract so are maybe, coasting. This is now down to Hecky, who knows them the best, to sit down and write a Keep List, a list of those that are not trying but may be salvaged Then the list of those that are maybe trying but will never be good enough. I personally think that the not trying list is just as damning as the not good enough list. If he has coasters, now is the time to show them that, by whatever action, their place is not secure. Whether we buy in or promote internally there is always somebody to take them and we don't want to carry excess baggage. The jury is out on his recruiting chief. At present things are not all rosy in the garden but if some of the young buds bloom in the next 9 games then the man is a genius and many of us (me included) owe Radz and Orta an apology. Are we moving toward a BIG shakeup this summer?

Agree2 Disagree1

14 Mar 2018 04:42:37
Good post LS11.
Leodis, I wouldn't be surprised to see little in way of outgoings because no-one will want to take them as they'll want their wages matched. Players like Cooper, KP, Okannot, Sacko even Dallas know Leeds is the pinnacle of their career but they've deceived management into thinking they're good enough. Expect more Murphy scenarios, that is 2 years on loan before they sling their hook. Length of contracts is something Cellino knew all about and did well. He just wasn't that good at pay increases. He knew who was average though. As for Wiedwald, if you pay him what he's worth, he owes his current and next employer large sums of money. He is at best conference standard. A radical overhaul required otherwise I see us in a relegation dogfight in 2019.

14 Mar 2018 17:46:06
I have to disagree George, I have seen many fine goalies in the Conference, and a few better than Wiedwald in the Northern Prem!

14 Mar 2018 19:33:43
I agree with Leodis about Radz's PR. Drawing attention to your self by criticising others in public makes you look unprofessional and could be viewed as a poor sign of character. It's also probably a bit embarrassing for the club. Instead why not keep a low profile, concentrate on getting what you do right, and let your results on the pitch do the talking. Whether or not Wolves are operating appropriately and in the spirit of things could have been found out without a public outburst. So one wonders why he chose to go about it the way he did? Perhaps this is an indication Radz is worried he has bitten off more than he can chew by buying LUFC?

Is it time now to have a look/relook at the likes of Grot (and others) so that Hecky can finally make his mind up ready for the summer transfer window. He may (or may not) need to go chasing the likes of McBurnie if Grot/Clarke etc. come good and don't forget we have Roberts waiting in the wings.

I have read what Radz has said and as such believe that whilst he has every right to think, and say, such things there is a right and wrong place to say them. Any critizism of staff, no matter who they are, should be kept inhouse. He should make his feelings known to the manager and the board and if he feels so vehemently that certain players be culled then so be it but to do it in the way he did, in the arena he did, is counter productive and risks making a them and us situation, with two camps forming. An owner should just own and a manager should get on and manage. Let the manager gain loyalty and effort and identify and deal with the shirkers. The owner should be invisible mostly. His cheque book should be seen before he does. The same thing with the Wolves outburst and the subsequent follow up. I said at the time don't moan. If it works just go on and do it yourself. Keep your head down, keep your thoughts to yourself and don't get peoples backs up, unnecessarily.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

13 Mar 2018 17:52:39
I have to say Leodis I do agree that comments about squad should be an internal matter, however all teams playing by the rules has been one thing for ages I have constantly beaten my chest about. Wolves have spent big time and it looks as though they are now having there ownership details looked into . Worth noting that we are not the first club whom have complained or the only one either . For my money AR needs to spend his time and money on a new head scout, go and nick Brentfords they have a tiny budget wage cap much smaller crowd but still are above us and have a better squad .

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - Brentford use statistical analysis as their owner made his money from a company that provides stats services. They use scouts very sparingly.}

13 Mar 2018 13:42:33
Good on you AR for saying it like it is, if the player's had half the passion of the fans we'd be top 2 not mediocre mid table, maybe this club's expectations just to big for some. I trust AR to do the right thing so i'll be renewing season tickets next year.

This is AR'S first season as owner so I will give him time before any negative comments on his ownership . Radrizanni on talk Sport this lunch time having ago our players without mentioning any names about getting no commitment or passion back after getting what they wanted with long term contracts there was still no critism of Orta's part from him tho.

Believable4 Unbelievable1

13 Mar 2018 13:44:49
It's fair enough for him to criticise the players in my opinion as he owns the club and is paying their wages. If I wasn't doing my job to a decent standard then I would expect my boss to do the same with me.

13 Mar 2018 13:49:05

Again I think Orta has become the fall guy a little here. I am not a fan, didn't like his appointment and not championing the fella. HOwever this year the players who have let's leeds down have been Phillips, O'kane, Cooper, Felix, Roofe, Beradi, De Block players who have done well Alisoki, Saiz, losaggar, pontus, forshaw in my opinion on % orta's signings have done better than the ones who have come before. The players orta broght to middlesborough are doing decent at the moment. Maybe we need to give these players a bit more time?
