So come the end of this season, who does everyone want to see go? Personally, I'd like to get rid of plenty!
Pugh, Green, Norris, Brown, Hunt, Diouf, Hall. Even at a conservative estimate, that frees up over £40k in wages!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If we're still in the championship, then definately them lot but if we're promoted I would expect a bit of a clear out

Agree0 Disagree0

White, hall and brown to start with, keep Pugh, Norris and Hunt as squad players i'd say, Dioufy i'm not too sure, can add a bit of quality when we need it

Agree0 Disagree0

Add Morrison, Cairns, Tonge,

What's Cairns done wrong?

Agree0 Disagree0

If your adding tonge to the list then you clearly can't of seen him play this season been one of the better midfielders in the side just because the last manager signed him doesn't mean he's no good mot!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ashdown - injury prone
Drury - injury prone
Norris - out of favour a long way down the pecking order
Green - too inconsistent. is a liability when not playing well but very usual on his day
Hall - attitude problems
Varney or Hunt - too similar to each other both work hard but can't hit a barn door from 5 yards
Morison - Attitude problems and paid too much

Agree0 Disagree0

If tonge has been so good why is he often warming that bench lad.

Terrible player with a negative attitude especially when we go behing

Agree0 Disagree0

You mean like danny pugh and micheal brown they were warming the bench up until the game against charlton but I bet you said the exact same thing about them before we won fans like you need to get a grip and get behind the team instead of slagging em of

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd keep Green. He was poor against Derby, but other than that I think he's done ok

Agree0 Disagree0

OP here, totally forgot about Morison! That's another £17k in wages plus a transfer fee

Ebanks-Blake not being offered a new contract. Anyone think a short term deal would be a good move?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

For me he's worth at least a contract until the end of season still at the right age aswell and is a proven goalscorer certainly at this level is record his second to none really but the problem we have is hunt, varney and diouf can barely get on the bench at the moment so its a case of maybe signing ebanks blake then letting one or two leave on loan.

I don't know about all you other guys on here but I am feeling very confident about our season now after a bit of a shaky start. We have a great manager in Brian McDermott, we have the best fans in the league if not the country. and more importantly we have found a formation that we seem to be comfortable with and performances recently reflect that. With the squad we have and maybe another addition in January (hopefully an attacking midfielder) we are looking good for a playoff spot and maybe even second place.

GK: Kenny, Ashdown, Cairns

DEF: Byram, Pearce, Wootton, Lees, Peltier, Warnock, Zaliukas, Pugh

MID: Murphy, Austin, Mowatt, Diouff, Tonge, Brown, Norris, Dawson, Varney, Hunt

ATT: McCormack, Smith, Poleon, Blackstock,

along with a few youth players been added at the right times which I know Brian and Neil Redfern will do we have a really good group of players

Come on Leeds let's put the bad run earlier in the season behind us and start to climb the league.

Marching on together

We still need 2 wingers and another 20 goal striker.

Agree0 Disagree0

What team apart from megabucks QPR can afford to have 2 / 20 goal strikers? stop dreaming and live in the real world and not Championship manager . If we value Ross at 3 mill +, then all other teams will value their 20 goal striker the same, its just common sense . The two wingers would fit the bill, but even that might be out of our reach at the moment . We are not far away already, improvement as the season goes along is the key for all the team .

Agree0 Disagree0

Absolutely agree "Thailand White" We couldn't afford another 20 goal striker but personally don't think we need one anyway if all the others chip in with goals throughout the season.

The reason I put that we could do with an attacking midfielder in is because with the current formation we don't really play with wingers. its the LB/RB that give us that width

Agree0 Disagree0

If we plan on playing this formation I'd say that another centre back, a very good left wing back & a striker to partner Ross are the easiest way to improve our team.

Agree0 Disagree0

2nd poster here, was being slightly sarcastic as this is all I have heard for the last few months.

BMD has done a great job in finding a formation that caters to our current squad. I have always stated that the 20 gaol striker was Rossco and as long as th erest chip in with 10 or so each we will be OK

With wingers, again, its only a neccessity if we want to play a winger formation, which would mean that we require 2.

I agree with both of you, and its noce that everyone is starting to see the light.

We need options and for that we need the right players! First few games - got results but then opposition managers countered! We lost! BMD needs to be able to put out a team and formation to outplay and breakdown opposition play. One size will not fit all! We need to keep em guessing! The only thing I can guess at is that we still have no cash and a rubbish load of dead wood drawing wages every week! One in, one out - nothing has changed - has it?

Agree0 Disagree0

If we're playing wing backs then Tommy Rowe is the answer. Fit and quick he will be a great foil for Sam on the other side. It would be enough for play offs at least.

Agree0 Disagree0

What a person you must be of course things have changed take a look at the signings we have made and the players we have kept at the club had bates still of been here we would of got rid of ross no doubt about it stop been so negative bet you won't be one of 20k plus loyal fans at the boro game?

Agree0 Disagree0

After watching charlie taylor play tonight ill be suprised if mcdermott doesn't have him in his plans looks so calm on the ball and you can tell right away that he can step up I say give him a chance

I agree, we need options and I also agree nothing has changed it will remain 1 in 1 out unless by some miracle we get a cash injection. Don't see it as a negative post - just realistic. Does not stop anyone loving or supporting the team any less! And I won't be at the MB game as I won't be in the country - still pay my dues and show my support though - v frustrating trying to find other media to watch/listen to games but always find some way, whatever the hour wherever I am! Does that mean I can comment!

Agree0 Disagree0

Im talking about fans that live in the leeds area that would rather spend £30 in a pub than be there inside elland road nothing beats been there trust me you all know who you are anyway time to step up

Agree0 Disagree0

To answer 3rd post.
Besides qpr.ings and vokes at burnley.powell and holt when fit at Wigan, nugent and wood at Leicester.lefondre and the Russian chap at reading.
All can score 20 each.
We have McCormack, only player with remotest chance. so can see what poster ment. shrew leeds

Agree0 Disagree0

Since when was Vokes a twenty goal a season striker? This is the first season he has done anything and it won't last.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just as an insight to the above poster who has stated that these players will get 20 a season. None of those strikers except for Le Fondre in League 2 has scored 20 goals in a single season.

One striker getting 20 goals plus a season and regular contributions from elsewhere will be enough in this league.

In my opinion we are missing a player just off the strikers, so Rudy can drop back to DM. A Wes Hoolahan / Chris Burke Type of player with a bit of something that can change a game.
