Hi all, just to let you know I managed 4 hours 45 mins which was a pretty poor attempt in my marathon (plus) and will be doing better next year. A tip for you Ausman: when running don't simply follow runners in front of you as they may miss a sign and get you lost adding a further mile and a half to your already gruelling distance! grrrrrrr

Hey sir mick. Well done son. A real achievement. i'm not in your league mate. wouldn't even attempt a marathon! But finishing any run is such a buzz.
No chance of me being misled. i'm so far behind I follow the discarded water cups for directions!

I did the same time when I did Edinburgh 2012,. a friend asked me if I stopped for lunch on the way round!

Well done MM. Now the buzz is not just completing. But that you trained. You competed. You are a machine ready to do it again. Albeit. Maybe after a few pints with your mates. Even virtual mates across the pond. Well done from me. And inveterate triathlete.( and sinking a couple as I type)

Thank you all for your comments guys, means a lot. Una, yes I was a bit slow and if anyone had asked me if I'd stopped for lunch I would have chinned them. if I had the energy to raise my arm haha! Anyway enough of that and I'm glad football is back this week. I don't wish to start a big debate on here but International qualification football bores me. looking forward to Friday and hopefully we'll have made the most of the break. MoT

just pulling yr leg,. great effort. keep going with marathons,. gets a bit addictive, I got to my 5th marathon and after posting 4h 45m I did 3h 55m.
Nearly coughed a lung up at the end but no feeling like it. Onwards!

OK stuck in London working tonight so I say if our coach has any balls, intelligence then he should start with Chris dawson on Friday.

I say this as I am a great believer in playing people in form and this kid is in form, more goals again today (lets face it goals are a little hard for us), u21's top of the league so why would you not?

Yeah he is small, OK so Yorks derby etc but who cares, we don't know until you try him but for me he should start on Friday instead of Sloth at front of diamond and Adryan should be given a go from the subs bench again to see if he is any good or not.

Coach won't do this of course as they almost always play too safe in my opinion but how great would it be to see Dawson given a go - what do we think?

I can't see him being picked in front of Bianchi and Cook who have excellent this season. Austin and Mowatt are in good form too. Midfield is fine how it is, yh were lacking width but the central lads are looking good

I'd say leave him with the u21's until we get an injury to sloth or adryan, I don't think that playing both adryan and Dawson in the same game would work and sloth looks a very good attacking threat so why leave him out?

Problem also, you have (Not in my opinion but on paper) Tonge, Murphy and Norris all ahead of him too.

We've still to see Benedicic as well
