Anyone who still believes Ken Bates I'd the saviour and shining light of Leeds united needs to visit the Leeds United Supporters Trust website snd read the letter presented to Mr Bates, plus the very interesting selection of things Mr Bates didn't save us from........

Leeds forever........Bates out.

Believable0 Unbelievable3

On the other hand, we could just realise NOBODY else put the money up to keep Leeds solvent????

Agree2 Disagree1

I just went onto that site and posted something myself, so obviously just anyone can post anything on there, just like here?

What gives anyone a right to set up a site called Leeds United Supporters Trust when anybody can just log on and post?

I might have given it some creedence, had I needed to actually log on and become a member in some way??

Agree3 Disagree0

These people must live really sad lives, they should get some funding and buy the club, set of muppetts!!

Agree3 Disagree1

You absolute tail....... It's the official site of the official Leeds united supporters trust recognised and affiliated by the football league and government. Set up by fans for fans. A structured and balanced voice for the fans by the fans. Every club has a recognised supporters trust which has a direct link with the club and board.

At the moment the trust is offering free membership to all Leeds fans allowing you to make your voice and opinions heard no matter which side if the fence you sit on. It's our club and we deserve a say. This isn't some tin pot website set up. It has all the credence it needs. Go back and do your research you fool before you comment with such naivety

Agree0 Disagree0

So are you calling Leeds fans sad? Do Leeds fans have sad lives because they actually care about how their club is run, owned and looked after? Let's not care then and allow the club to become nothing! 23,000 Leeds fans turn up to the average game. Do you think that's enough to buy Leeds united?

Agree0 Disagree0

To the above fan asking if the supporters trust has any credence! Why don't you come along to the AGM (annual general meeting) in September and put your points across. They would be valuable to hear as we want the best for our trust and for it to reflect the best views of our members and fans of Leeds united. It's free to join and free to attend

Agree0 Disagree0

Just think it's a bit suspect if anyone can just open the site and make whatever comments they want without any censorship whatsoever?

Exactly like this site, in fact, where anyone can write whatever rubbish, rumours or lies they want, and expect others to believe it......??

Agree1 Disagree0

I notice nobody is continuing this thread, maybe the 'trust' is just another way of kicking the team I love so much??

We signed Mika Vayrynen on a free

Source: Sky, BBC, YEP and OS

Best thing we have done all "summer". Summer over now but you know what I mean. We have a chance now. Time to rejoice.

Believable4 Unbelievable1

No doubt we'll still have the whingers on here moaning.....

Agree3 Disagree0

Every club has them mate

Great signing - great for Clayton also - to play alongside - strong No 4 at last - rest Brown now please. Well Done Leeds and i think a big nod and thanks to Finland International roomate Mikel Forrsel MOT
watch the Fins 3.3 draw with Germany on Youtube - cant get more 'experience' than that eh !!

Just been confirmed on the os that we have signed Mika Vayrynen on a one year contract with a one year option if all goes well he brings with him the experience we need in both attacking and defensive roles of the mid field and with over 50 caps for Finland he seams the ideal replacement for either Johnson or Killkenny. Now all we need is the other nine Finish internationals.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Brilliant! Maybe 6 or 7

13 Sep 2011 16:36:30
As a nailed on Leeds fan I wish Mika Vayrynen all the very best and I hope he is one of the parts that puts us back in the premier League.

However his playing stats are concerning:

1999-2011 240 appearances = 20 per season
2007-2011 58 appearances = 11.6 per season

Though 2010-2011 he made 30 of those 58.

I am cautious as this is a guy comes with a long injury list.

At least we signed someone.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Note he was out for the entire 2009 season due to injury

Agree0 Disagree1

Looks like the whingers found a reason to complain about YET ANOTHER signing??

Bechio has been injured for a long time, does that mean he's crap too????

Just give over for once, eh????

Agree3 Disagree0

Maybe you should have read my post properly before commenting. I am not whingeing, just pointing out cold facts. My post does wish him all the best and that we push on from here. Yes Becchio has been injured for a few months, whereas Vayrynen has ben injured for years. There is a big difference. I am sure you are one of the many armchair fans who sits on these websites all day, but could not point to Elland Road on a map.

Agree0 Disagree1

Actually I was at Elland road a couple of weeks ago (where you?) for the Hull City game, and I sure know where Elland road is, having visited it countless times by car, bus and railway over the many years I have stuck behind Leeds....

... and will do 4alongtime!!

I just find it sad that most people on here are so negative, and even when something positive happens, like a new player joining, there's always someone who'd rather publicise the negative aspects of it!

Agree0 Disagree0

A couple of weeks ago against Hull....typical, i will bet you are there for the Man Utd game too. SO you are an armchair fan, or one who is only interested in the attractive games. I believe in the team I love enough to have a season ticket in the North stand so see every home game. {Ed001's Note - not everyone can afford to go regularly or at all in some cases. It is not like Leeds' tickets are cheap either!}

Agree0 Disagree1

I hear what you are saying Ed, however there are a lot of fans who decided they could not afford to go once we were relegated from the Premier League. I assure you they will be able to afford it when we are back in the Premier League. Leeds for life no matter what the opposition or League we are in. {Ed001's Note - I agree that can be a problem, especially when a club has been used to being in the top flight and then slips down the leagues.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Actually I was also there for the Hull City game when Vinny scored his one and only goal for Leeds, and Strachan scored a blinder to win the game, but no, unfortunately I am not the armchair wonder who would turn up for the Scum game, in fact I watched it in a pub in Victoria, London, on my way down south to work, the only Leeds supporter wearing colours, among 50 or so armchair Scum supporters...

I also had to watch Leeds beat West Ham in a Southend pub full of West Ham supporters when we had just bought Rio Ferdinand, but most of my viewing has actually been at Elland Road, with tickets and programs to support it! I watched Leeds hammer Lynn Oslo 10 - 0 as a young kid, I doubt you were there?

I will point out though, that I don't live locally, my journey is 125 miles each way, which is obviously more than yours, so why not give credit where it is due?

I could actually walk to the MK Dons stadium and support MY local team, so I feel my 40 years plus support for Leeds is something to be proud of, rather than get kicked by someone like you who can afford a season ticket which costs CONSIDERABLY LESS than just my petrol money to get to a few games.......

I've also watched Southend, Crawley, Brighton, Barnsley, Doncaster, Genk (Belgium) Valencia, Antwerp, Radom (Poland) Munchen Gladbach, Ipswich, Bournemouth, Northampton, Watford, in fact wherever I happen to be working, next call Cambridge (City OR United) so actually, I am not an armchair supporter?

And you watch just Leeds? I wish I had that luxury......

Agree0 Disagree0

And as to being able to afford a season ticket, I could EASILY afford one, unfortunately it also costs around £40 per game in petrol money on top of something to eat or drink each home game?

Thats probably around £1500 for a season ON TOP of the season ticket price, so would you be prepared to pay around two grand to watch Leeds playing at home for a whole season?

Or are you just going to comtinue to be smug and write me off as an armchair supporter?

Oh, and did you ever watched John Charles play? Now I am being smug.....

Agree0 Disagree0

Once again no further replies...??

Hopefully you may realise that living so close to Leeds and buying a season ticket and being able to watch all the home games doesn't actually make you any more of a TRUE Leeds supporter than those of us that don't live close to the ground, have to spend the best part of a WHOLE DAY to get to a game, and pay three or four times what you do in order to do so?

Leeds United have signed Finland international midfielder Mika Vayrynen.

The 29-year-old, who has won 54 caps for his country, has signed a one-year contract with a further year's option.

Goal posts moved again for Man U game. Members can now purchase 2 tickets as is normal, bet the few fans who have purchased extra memberships per family to go to the game are well wizzed off. Sales must be really sluggish, how embarrassing for Bates majority of fans havnt bitten and he has had to backtrack to get a full house. Be warned Ken you can only kick a dog so many times before it bites back. The club and you are nothing without the fans MOT

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Complete joke and I am a member who purchased palace tickets way before scum game was announced. I only wanted one more ticket for a friend who wasn't a member so could understand it being strict initially as thought they'd be fighting foe tickets - then I saw the price. Shocking. Whatever you say about morons, part timers and hangers on it wouldve been nice to have a near to full capacity proper night game atmosphere. Tv, ticket prices and bates has put paid to it. Literally!
I love lufc so I'm going but not impressed.
