Does anyone think if snoddy lost a bit of weight and worked on sprinting a bit more in training his pace would go up and he would be an even better player. Not as strong but faster. Hope he stays but with premier league teams interested it seems unlikely unless he thinks we have a good enough team for promotion. #MOT

Believable6 Unbelievable0

Pre season with warnock is 1 of the toughest believe me I have seen I first hand so if he stays we'll see

Agree2 Disagree0

He needs it because his head is always hanging down his chest because he is always huffing and puffing, that's the thing he lacks premiership fittness, I really agree this summer he should get on a new diet and work on cardio because if he got his weight down he would be alot sharper and would have far better stamina levels instead of being a panting dog

Agree3 Disagree0

Yeah he is a bit weighty.him and macca both.easy need to loose a stone each.you could be right.
ts

Agree1 Disagree0

I wouldn't rule out Snoddy staying. he's a loyal player, and money isn't everything to him. It's all down to whether he still has faith that the club can achieve, and whether last season took its toll on him or not.

Ed or anyone else, is it true that the away fans are being relocated back to the South East (cheese) corner? Just wondering as i have a season ticket near there and the tmosphere has been abysmal since the away fans have been moved next to the executives! {Ed013's Note - I haven't heard that but I will give them a ring tomorrow and ask. It makes sense to move them back}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Warnock said he wants them back there but bates told him theres alot ofreasons why they carn't be there. ie, police and getting away fans out of ground. lets face it, bates will do anything to penny pinch because the away fans have been housed there for time. tipical bates always someone else's fault for anything negative at lufc. He still doesn't get the fans and the atmosphere at are beloved elland road. mot4life

Agree2 Disagree1

Can't understand the reasoning forn away fans in West Stand. The higher pricing obviously stopped a lot of them from coming, judging by the away support last season. The atmosphere has all but disappeared and since the away fans were moved the South Stand is emptier. Come on Ken/Harvey- admit it was a mistake, move them back and lets have our atmosphere back!

Agree1 Disagree0

Agree its now a miserable end where i sit
without them next to me.want them back in that corner.in nfact first time they were moved i didnt realise and just thought no one had travelled.i didnt spot them for ages.makes a massive difference.

Thought Luke Freeman and Stephen Quinn looked like real talents.
Also heard Tom Heaton rejected a new contract offer at Cardiff. Does this mean he is out of contract or does it expire next year.?
Would be a brilliant replacement for Lonners

Heaton rejected contract is out of contract at end of june good buy he wanted 1st team football

Robert Snodgrass has been seen at the Sheffield and Stevenage game. this is good because as him being leeds captain he is looking at the competition for next year in the championship. this could also mean that he is signing a new contract with us {Ed013's Note - Or he could be bored! Fingers crossed he will sign soon}

Believable4 Unbelievable0

We sold a few players to Sheffield United as of recent, Michael Doyle, Collins etc. probably one of those.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Thanks Ed just got a bit curious, plus why would he go there?:D {Ed013's Note - I heard Stevenage have bid 10 Million! Seriously though, if he is looking at talent it shows NW faith in him}

ed, any truth in the snoddy to southampton rumour? {Ed013's Note - Not heard that mate, but it wouldn't surprise me if one of the promoted 3 went for him}

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Most Southampton supporters are like Liverpool supporters and think themselves high and mighty because of their supposed stature in the football world, so chances are they made this up. They also said they were to sign ivory coast international Seydou Doumbia, who was being looked at by top end premier league clubs. Shows what they know. {Ed013's Note - You could put us in that bracket, if your truly honest with yourself, we are all high and mighty because of our history and believe we are one of the best in the world because of our fan base and stature. Just something to think about. Its not a bad thing, its good to be proud and support the club through its ups and down, lots of downs!}

Alan smith what is the situation with him ed {Ed013's Note - He is with the MK Dons until after the play offs and his contract with Newcastle runs out at the end of June. He wants a club that can give him first team football or if he cant find that he will move into coaching}

Believable2 Unbelievable1

In basic terms, he's finished as a footballer.

Genarro Gattusso (AC Milan, age34) now a free agent has said he would welcome a move back to ibrox and that he has been in the game long enough that money is no longer an issue to him. With the current climate at Rangers they wont behable to offer him much.
Maybe just a dream of mine but would love to see him play in front of the back four at Leeds !

Believable5 Unbelievable2

He would be a great addition to the squad sign him up lol. the bulldog

Agree2 Disagree0

At first I thought crazy but thought about it and thought why not? Edgar Davids went to palace, ok he is 34 might have another couple of seasons, an old dog in the team isn't that bad as long as the team isn't full of them, he can't really comand that much money at his age, has huge experience, max wage now is 20k might play a little less but would be a great holding midfield that would be full of tips for the younger players, warnock wants a top squad that pushes for promotion, so why the hell not I actually agree

Agree7 Disagree1

Would love to see it but he's still a class's player and will probably end up in Abu dabi or china as he's looking for as much money as he can befor he retires

I'm a suprised leeds fan I keep seeing a lot people sy this goalkeeper and that the two who are realistic and we got good chance of gettin is Alex McCarthy who I rate highly and Kieran westwood who both 3rd choice goalies at there club. Also would love to have jermaine beck ford back and with some of the players out of contract could be amazing signings but after this week I think it will go quiet with what bates said he is not willing to pay player for three months who sits round doing nothing why there own club is paying them.

MOTTT!!!

Believable3 Unbelievable0

That's what Grayson used to do and suprise suprise other clubs snapped em up because we was waiting for the last minute, really don't think warnock will do this, he will want them early as possible for preseason, you think their going to go to Norway with 12 players?

Agree3 Disagree0

14 May 2012 18:04:58
Theres no way Shaun Derry will EVER be back at Leeds. Ever. Ward looks a decent player, though I can't help thinking he's being signed to please Pearce? Funny feeling about it all.

I thought it would spice things up if everyone, including you ed ;), would just do this, realistically please:

My choice of keeper for next year:
Lonergan

1 more defender to sign:
Whitbread

1 more midfielder to sign:
Whittingham

1 more forward to sign:
I'd rather Somma back at his best than a new signing tbh.

TheDaddy {Ed013's Note - What does everyone think about Clint Hill, he is out of contract next month and I heard a little rumour that NW would like him at Leeds. My concern is that if he is offered a season deal he wouldn't come if NW signed Diouf. Thoughts?}

Believable3 Unbelievable0

I'd have clint hill thought he had a good game yesterday, don't want Derry don't like him from last time at Leeds, would love whiittingham need to get this type of play to show the ambition he is perfect, can't wait to see somma back again fully fit, I hope ward comes promising player like Pearce, and Ipswich fans going mad because they say they were in for them first, they took stockdale and bowyer last season so what goes round comes around {Ed013's Note - I don't think we have the money for Whittingham and I would have thought a lower half Prem team would go in for him. I don't blame Derry for his exit, I blame Mr Wise}

Agree2 Disagree0

I've been looking at CLINT HILL (we all scout dont we ?) He's sound as a pound and despite age and a little small I would have him onboard for a season or even two at a push. Never gonna get a big team so were top notch for him to finish off a playing career.

Agree4 Disagree0

20k max but don't have to pay that much, why not so were serious and get him not exactly junior hoilett is he, saying that norwiich will probably have whittingham

Agree2 Disagree0

1st Choice keeper:
Kuszczak

1st choice defender to sign:
Whitbread

1st choice midfielder:
Ambrose

1st choice forward to sign:

DJ Campbell / (would be beckford if we could afford wage or fee so i put campbell to be more realistic)

all realistic and would be my must signs.

TeejLUFC

Agree4 Disagree0

I've thought Hill could be a possibility ever since the rumors started, I posted a comment before about a interview i saw on SSN, he said he was a few year too late to break into the prem and didnt think he would play as many games as he has, so will be looking for a champ team this season. Also NW is a big fan, youtube clip of QPR team talk when they got promoted he singled him out as a hero! would be solid and great value for money!

Just had a quick look at Transfermarkt.co.uk. and found some VERY interesting info (ok i know its an external site, but bare with me (after all it is used by professionals within the game. I clicked on 'Transfers' , 'Championship' and found the following. Derby player out - to unknown club, (guess who) Paul Green! (mentioned in some posts). But there is something EVEN more interesting in terms of other players who have aparantly been transfered to - 'unknown club'. Have a look at Barnley, they have about six on there, of those these are under 30 years old and around our budget (500 - 900k)@ Nathan Doyle (cm), Jay mcEveley (lb), David Cotterill (RW/RM). All positions we need. Now is that a rumor or is that just plain co-incedence, you decide, wow! MOT

Southstand; give it a wave! southstand, southstand give it a wave! (goodbye). Look on the brightside we're gonna get a casiono! {Ed013's Note - The Casino is a good idea, it will give the West stand a much needed upgrade and a bigger capacity and Leeds wont pay for it!}

Believable7 Unbelievable0

Ed013 you seem to know a bit about this. Seen a pic of a face lifted west stand didnt realise gonna be more capacity. Do you know how much more seats (and new total capacity?) {Ed013's Note - Not sure on capacity yet mate, but it would involve another tier on what we already have}

Agree1 Disagree0

:))))))))))))))))

Agree1 Disagree0

Ed,whats the reason behind shutting South Stand next season? if you`d be so kind. {Ed013's Note - Its the first I've heard today. I can't see it, but will hold my hands up if I am wrong. KB would lose money by shutting it because a lot of fans go in there to be near the away fans to have the Banter, a lot go in there if they cant get in the North stand to sing their hearts out for the lads and can you imagine no fans behind the goal, it would be like a grave yard! Its bad enough without the away fans in the corner. I will look into it and see what I find out}

Agree2 Disagree0

From the pics it looks like its about the same size as the east stand which i believe holds about 17,000 so somewhere around that figure in total i guess. Currently the west stand holds 11,000

Agree3 Disagree0

Cheers Ed,cant imagine Papa Smurf losing South Stand gate receipts by choice.

Agree2 Disagree0

Think it's more to do with the cost of policing and stewarding, together with the fact the East Stand has better facilities to fleece even more cash of punters before the game and at half time.

Agree2 Disagree0

Rumour is all executive boxes in south stand are closing and been transferred to the east stand where facilities for corporate brigade are now much improved.

Agree0 Disagree0

we need beckford, kightly, mills, ambrose, whittingham, whitbread, thomas, green and delph (if he an get fit, unlikely he'll play much for villa so get him back at ellend road!) what do you all think?

Believable6 Unbelievable1

I think ure in dream land. {Ed013's Note - This is why we want people to sign off with a name so it gives each other a good/bad reputation! People with a good rep will get more of a conversation going instead of abuse from fans when people post rubbish}

Agree1 Disagree2

I'm good mates with Fabian, (childhood friends blah blah blah) just to let you all know he won't sign for Leeds, he never really wanted to join back on loan, he moaned every minute when he came back about Grayson, players, style of play, training, which upset me because I was hoping he would love it been back but he wants to stay in perm for as long as he can, I'm not and no need to bull you all, just putting it out to everyone that wonders if he will return

NICKLUFCMOT

Believable13 Unbelievable1

14 May 2012 16:36:22
According to QPR message boards Shaun Derry WILL have the chance to join Leeds if he wants to... personally would like to see him back, loved him when he was here and still better than Michael Brown. Believable if you agree? {Ed013's Note - I agree, just what we need}

Believable10 Unbelievable4

Gotta say he isnt the best footballer in the world but gives 150% each time, would also have Andy Hughes back at Left back, that guy never gave up and played anywhere he was told and did the business, he had probably his best game at Old Trafford!

Agree1 Disagree0

Bu wott i dont understand is why would NW retain Brown and transfer list Clayton. Surely you wouldnt want two veterans in CM at the club. This makes me think he isn't a target. {Ed013's Note - He wants Brown on a reduced wage to have the experience around the place. Clayton is transfer listed due to his agent being greedy and wanting 15 grand a week. We need options and I think Derry would do a great job, even if its for 1 season.}

Agree2 Disagree0

Would love Shaun Derry back,knows what it means to be Leeds.Miles better than Brown.MOT

Agree2 Disagree1

I think another reason for putting Clayton on the transfer list is hes actually worth money.Browns not worth S**t.

Absolute madness to close the southstand for a season, you need your fans at either end for atmosphere mot?

Believable7 Unbelievable1

I'd rather the home end in the west stand were closed, has zero atmos anyways and is as old looking as Ken Bates!

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont know where you heard that, southstand is open and remains open, only boxes and viewing gallery closing, seats still being used? {Ed013's Note - The only way the south stand would close would be for a re-furb. Spread the word to fellow fans to start signing off with a name on posts sent in. It will earn credibility with each other and when rumours become truth we will start believing each other etc. It will also let us know who are frequent users are and when we start the members section we can rule out the trouble causers. Thanks}

Agree0 Disagree0

What's this about? {Ed013's Note - Someone started a rumour earlier saying that the south stand would be closed next season to save money. Also we are wanting fans to end their posts with a name/nickname/username to freshen things up and attempt to keep the lies off the site. Too many people come on to start trouble or make things up. If frequent users knew each other with a name etc, then it would give you a better reputation and the editors would know who you are without having to check the IP every time. Arsenal fans do it and it works, we know who are the legitimate fans from the trouble causers}

Agree0 Disagree0

Leeds should take a punt on fleetwoods jamie vardy can play as winger or attacker plus we should sign clingan rather than green

Is it just me or do the signings of El-Hadji Diouf and Joey Barton seem very realistic for Dirty Leeds United and Neil Warnock ?

Not saying it's what I want to happen but it really does make sense for something like this to happen at Leeds United.

-Most hated club in England.
-Most hated manager in England.
(Suppose our fan base aren't very well liked either)
-2 most hated players in England would just top it off !

Believable11 Unbelievable1

Well NW must admire Barton and think he can handle him or he wouldn't have signed him to Qpr. More realistic he could come after another outburst from him on the weekend. Dirty player to dirty Leeds, well in the past that has equalled success. Only thing may be the length of his ban by the FA if they pursue his sending off.

Agree2 Disagree5

Barton's not coming to Leeds. For a start we couldn't afford his wages - which is good news, THE MAN'S A LIABILITY.

Dont forget about our chairman aswell OP lol

I woul not touch them both with a barge pole , a waste of time space and effort

Barton and warnock had a very public falling out when warnock was sacked by QPR , barton said some really bad stuff about him . Out of all the rumours this 1 is a definate put your mortgage on it will never happen

Agree3 Disagree1

Barton had a further 2 sending off offences after the first one,hes a liability,and getting sent off when

Agree4 Disagree0

Gretar Steinsson
Paul Robinson
Martin Petrov
Ricardo Gardner
Zat Knight
Kevin Davies
Robbie Blake
Ivan Klasnic
Sean Davis
Sam Ricketts
Jaaskelaainen

These are the 11 out of contract - Steinsson(RB) and Sean Davis(CM) are realistic targets i think?

Agree0 Disagree0

From that I would take:
Steinsson
Petrov
K Davies
Sam ricketts
Maybe jassk

Looks like luke varney, david norris and joel ward will have bids put in from warnock according to skysports, what your opinions on signing 4 players from a relegated side?! I think they have good players and we can get them for cheap and the only reason pompy went down was because of the financial situation!
