Just watched a video 25 worst tackles. Our very own mr Michael brown is the joint leader of appearances in the countdown with Roy Keane. Made me chuckle.

I would have had keane in my team any day of the week!
Every team needs a batty. Keane. Vinny. Brown. Etc etc

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree. Batty is my idol, really class player. Brown should be kept on for another year IMO.

Could the left back that cellino junior has mentioned be tommy Rowe or even stating that they are in negotiations with Charlie Taylor?

Ive been told a players retained/released list has to be submitted to the football league before May 19th, also that LUFC have 15 players out of contract this summer.

Im trying to work my way through 15 players out of contract but only got 7 or 8 at most any ideas ED?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed013's Note - I would have to search the youth players, but I think it is 5 or 6 first team players out of contract; Brown, Pugh, Diouf, Green, Varney, Ashdown and Cairns are out of contract and I believe Kenny and Peltier are available for transfer. Leeds are waiting on young Taylor to sign a 3 year deal}

Tks ED sorry for racking your brain.

One of lads just said a short story about MC & LUFC on newsnow and it also mentions 15 out of contract. If it's true must be youth players included ;(

{Ed013's Note - I think so mate}

Michael Browns number 17 shirt has been retired by MC. What does that mean for brown now?

Hi lads this is for jeff.if your talking to mr cellino again could you suggest to him about organising a pre season friendly in Ireland for all fans over here.I know were playing glenavon but I mean a proper game in the aviva stadium or Thomond park in limerick against a league of Ireland team or some Italian team if it makes the boss happy.the following leeds have over here is massive and I'm sure we'd get some crowd at the match thanks.

Surely Brian asked his employer for permission to go on vacation with certain vacation dates. Are we to believe MC version that he just upped and left without notification? If so, how does MC know Brian is even on holiday? All sounds a bit funky. With the financial problems and imminent redundancies, not good. I'm sensing a formal approach for Brian from WBA is in the offing.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Exactly, it is common practice at the end of the season for players and staff to take a short break. In any case Brian would have no players to coach as they are all away, and the training ground is closed. He wanted to speak to MC weeks ago about the retained list didn't he?

Agree0 Disagree0

George
Something VERY fishy about it in my opinion, if I owned LUFC or anybody for that matter I WOULD NOT be sending a letter to ask where they are i'd BE RINGING them constantly.
I can't see BmD and ALL his staff (according to MC) going on vacation all at the same time.
This could be MCs way off sacking him WITHOUT a backlash like he got before.

BMD is probably in Reading!

I'm sick of all this crap at Leeds. Firstly let me make a very fundamental point. We are a premiership club. Any owner or any Board member who thinks otherwise is not Leeds. The only way that we can go foward is to bring back 40,000 at ER on a regular basis. That requires a successful team. The Scandanavians, the Irish ( including myelf) will come more regularly to watch real football. That means more shirts sold, more season tickets sold. Many years ago my now 25 year old son came home from school one day and asked if I would buy him a Ryan Giggs poster for his bedroom. The one I bought of Gary Speed still hangs there after many painting jobs. Unfortunately he is one of a handful of his generation of Irish people who support our club. We travel over from Dublin and elsewhere in numbers every week, but, we all have two things in common. Firstly we are Irish by birth, and Leeds by choice, but, more importantly, we are all guys in our late forties and early fifties. Leeds needs a new generation. Please Mrs Cellino make that happen. Please.

Any one see the Cellino interview on Calendar this evening? Old Massimo asking where Brian Mc is? He says he has sent him a letter. but no reply!

Cellino states that no one is managing the Club because Brian has gone MIA. I'm a bit confused, didn't Cellino say he didn't need a Manager a few weeks ago, just a coach because he will run the club? Also didn't Brian Mc think he was meeting Cellino two week before the end of the season to discuss next season, only for Massimo to cancel, and then a week after that, didn't Bri Mc have another arranged meeting with Cellino, again for it to be cancelled by the President?

Also after the Derby game, Cellino spent an hour with Adam Pope, and said that he would leave it a week to ten days before he spoke to Brian Mc, so that he could consider whether he wanted to keep the Coach?

Obviously our new Owner has seen the £2mill price tag it would take to sack Brian and has decided instead to mock a fake falling out, make the Coaches role untenable and hope that the fans don't chase him round the car park again.

I'm starting to worry that the new boss is the same as the old (bearded) boss. Lots of talk but no money. I hope I'm wrong.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

How can you put Cellino in the same bracket as Bates?.Bates and GFH have left us in one hell of a mess and he's taking steps to get us back on track, look at the money he's forked out already, your jumping the gun here, why assume the worst all the time, at least give him credit for taking such a mammoth task on, I don't think its unreasonable for Mac to offer his services at this time neither, i'm sure Cellino would appreciate a helping hand, give the bloke a chance before running him down.

Agree0 Disagree0

You miss the point my friend. You can buy a club for the night but can't sack the Manager for free.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with part of what you are saying, I thought cellino had the money to sort leeds out over night. I no we are in debt a lot and a lot was hidden from him, but the figures that people said he and his family had in bank should be able to turn things around. i'm just waiting to see how much we spend on new players.

MC on itv news saying BMD is not the manager of Leeds, no one manages the club. "I will have to speak to Brian about his position

Last year we total income into the club of £28 million. Yes 100,000 a day is a lot and needs to come down but even on these cost we would lose about £8 million a year. What MC is doing now should have been done a long time ago. We have a lot of debt and interest on debts because of the failures of Bates and Gfh. People asking for Joe Cole are not grasping the serious situation we are in. Last year Brian was told 1 out 1 in.We have to many players so if we get rid of 8 we can only get 4 in, and they need to be on realistic wages. So Brian, if your lucky enough to stay, you need to get your signings right. There is no room for failure.

Anyone think Joe Cole would be worth a punt.

"I am free and looking for another club. My relationship with West Ham is great, but obviously I did not work until the end of the season, I have not played enough. So now I will take time, I will train to achieve a good fit in summer and then we'll see. money at this point in my career are not important, I just want to have fun playing football. I'd like to go to a club and have a good relationship with the manager, to help young people grow through my experience "

I've been thinking about the tempory closing of Thorpe Arch. I think the priority is to purchase ER over TA. My son goes to a sporting college in Bristol that has excellent facilities and is also used By Bristol City and its academy. It has one full size 3G football pitch, one full size 4G football/Rugby pitch, one half size indoor 3G pitch, it has a full size grass football pitch including stands that is in fantastic condition, it has a fully equipped Gym, full physio suites, 10 x 3G 5 a side pitches, 6 full size grass pitches and to top it off has a Female dance academy. The reason I am stating this is TA has always been touted as a big reason for joining Leeds yet any player if offered the above and a chance to be part of the rebirth of LU and to build Legend status playing infront of a huge LUFC crowd, surely that would be enough? I'm not suggesting Leeds come to Bristol to train (would be nice though) I was thinking there must be some where in or around Leeds offering similar facilities at much lower costs than TA? Please advise. MOT!

This could benefit Ross Mac, does he not own an indoor football centre, he could rent it out and also train there himself (sorted!)

100,000 x 7 = 700,000
700,000x50 = 35,000,000

Therefore Leeds would always have to trade players at a profit to survive.

It can be inferred that the average first team wage is 10,000 per week.

15th place in the league.

Average wage at Burnley estimated at 4, 500 pw.
2nd.

"We need to learn some humility."

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yes indeed we need to cut our cloth as they say, we are not a prem team so need to look at our fixed costs carefully and reduce the size of squad. MC clearly knows this and it is his money, getting players who are on the whole younger/cheaper (with a few older heads in squad) can get you promoted.
We can't keep our overheads at the rate we are, amazed in some ways why we have been doing this for so long.
Looking forward to the next couple of years now for sure.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree, with all the information coming out of ER at the moment it sounds like a right mess Massimo has bought himself.

As you say, and Massimo quoted "we need to learn humility" therefore we should not gripe and moan about the cuts being made to make us sustainable again.

Whether its old players, existing players or ER staff who want more then we should let them go.

Anyone that really loves the club will stick with it and work towards the turnaround, let Massimo do the work and clear all the s**t out of the stables.

Very concerned many youth will leave or be put off coming to lufc due to TA closure & the instability of the club right now. Summer is when lufc host lots of training camps for youth to find little diamonds and TA was a big attraction, also there must be a skeleton staff there to maintain the place or it would go down hill fast, pitches etc & we have a duty of care as tenants to keep it in good running/working order
