I think Macheda is a good shout to come on loan for rest of season. His current loan @ Donny ends on Dec 31. The likely departure of EHD should create enough wages.
Guidetti will be wanted by european clubs in the top leagues, so he's unlikely. Rivals in our league will def not be keen to help, so limited options from the Championship and the decent young strikers in the lower leagues ( Wells, Wilson, Griffiths etc ) will be well over priced.
Keeper cover could come in the shape of Baggies 3rd choice quality keeper Luke Daniels, also on loan.

If it turns out that red bull are buying leeds then why don't we get henry on loan. It would be free in wages as red bull are already paying him. That would get the crowds back, he would add quality to our team and it would be very interesting to see what he could do for us. He does owe us big time

Yes I'm seriously saying he wouldn't improve our squad. Macheda has played for Man Utd, he broke into the first team in 2008 and scored 2 goals then spent time on loan at sampdoria QPR Doncaster and stuttgart and has scored a total of 7 career goals. 7 goals in 5 years! That's awful. Matt Smith has scored more than that this season. Macheda is a tall 6ft plus striker who can't score. Smith is a tall 6ft plus striker who can score. What good would wasting money on macheda do?

Totally agree why waste money on a player who adds no value to the squad and has a very poor record that's why he ends up on loan at Doncaster and not a bigger club. If we get investment then we have to try and get a striker that must be at least as good as the ones we have, but ideally better although I appreciate that would be in difficult with Ross and his current form.

im not sure macheda is a class striker at the moment but we def need another striker come jan.
not saying what we have isn't doing the job but any injury, loss of form and that changes but more importantly a class striker would give us that extra push .
i mean can anyone really see thierry henry on loan?.would be good to see but come on. shrew leeds

If I were going for a loan striker has to be Connor Wickham! His deal at sheff wed ends 1st of jan. He would be ideal till the summer and maybe a permo in summer too. Wells is worth a punt if wickam not available. TOMSKI.LUFC

Any one else think that Jason Pearce is playing out of his skin? So much improved. And with zal. And lees. You won't find many better centre backs in this league. Just I thought I would mention Jason. Because he doesn't get many plaudits. And is very underrated x well done lad for sticking to it. Oh and same goes to Pugh too. Real professional xx

Good post Bob. I have been thinking the same myself. Very underrated player but am I right in thinking that he has played more minutes than any other outfield player this season? He looks much better than last season and is a must in my book.

Yes mick. I think Jason has played more mins than any outfield player. Just to add to my origanal post. I would also like to mention Michael brown. Another unsung player. But a true professional. Gets some stick.from fans but just comes on .gives his all and gets on with the job. Him coming on as sub on sat. Steadied the midfield down. And was probably the turning point in the game and why we won. I just wish our fans would get off his back x

Good posts about the defence, all working well together in a formation which seems to suit all, including peltier who has also took some stick in the past but is playing very well aswell. And the post about browny aswell is good to see as he is a true gentlemen, he's in business with my friend and always gives him 5 tickets for his box and 5 passes for the players lounge and whoever gets the chance to go in their will agree that he is a sound guy! Especially with young lads who are meeting their idols. Very warm welcoming guy. MOT

Whilst I agree with your assessment of Jason Pearce, I can't help but feel the improvement in our defence has been since the arrival of Zaliukas, as stated at the beginning of the season we have and always will need an experienced centre back to get out of a division like this and Zaliukas was that man. Originally I wanted Upson or Dunne (Both of whom have been rock solid for their respective clubs this season) as I hadn't really heard of Zaliukas, but what an astute signing he has been. Promotion is calling!
