Rumour is that grayson has left, don't know if it's true or not! Hope not!

MOT

Believable3 Unbelievable6

Hope it's true

Agree8 Disagree2

Hope so saves bates sacking him as is planned for the morning

Agree7 Disagree2

Do you all expect the next manager to perform miracles on peanuts then?

Agree5 Disagree4

Just perform thats all i expect. Grayson hasn't had peanuts he has had a wage stucture that is top 6 and he has a transfer fund that he has openly said has the money from player sales. The reason he doesn't spend it a) he needs to sell before he can buy (and nobody else wants his tripe) b) he is scared because the fans that know about football know he is crap and the ones that don't will reallise that he is crap when we still don't go up after he has blown all the money!

Agree4 Disagree1

It would explain why Snodin is giving all the interviews and comments on the web site today and not grayson

Been watching highlights of Craig Jones who Leeds have on trial. He plays on the right of midfield, and his strongpoint is pinpoint crossing and deliveries. Looks like the kind of player we need.

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Yes your right cos we are real short on wingers

Agree2 Disagree2

We've got 5 strikers on our books, by that reckoning if david villa came on trial you wouldn't want him then? If someone better comes along for a position of course we should sign them regardless of how many others in that position we have, it's called having the best team possible.

Agree1 Disagree2

No..its called an unbalanced squad you muppet,we already have 5 strikers,so you want 5 wingers 5 centre midfielders etc,we are competing to get out of the championship on a shoestring budget, not in the champions league,we have ltd funds as we all know and are focus should be on the areas that need urgent attention ie..right back centre half and centre mid...not another bloody winger!

Agree1 Disagree1

No it's called getting the best possible team. If someone better comes along you sign them and then sell or release the weakest link. We have six centre backs and 6 centre midfielders yet you've just said you think they are priorities, why? because you want better quality. It's not overloading a squad to take on better players with the view of getting rid of weaker ones it's called improving.

to all Leeds fans. which do you think is the worst mismanagement of our club? Peter Ridsdale overspending to achieve a potential success, or Ken Bates allowing the promising young team that got us promoted from League One to all run down their contracts and leave? Agree for Bates, Disagree for Ridsdale.

Believable8 Unbelievable7

Don't like either but got to prefer Bates as we're still in business.

Agree7 Disagree1

Dam thats a good question you would have to say ridsdale for all that's wrong with bates least he hasn't nearly taken us to the brink and it was him who stepped in to pick up the pieces when we seemed doomed.

Agree3 Disagree0

Come on guys Bates may have done ok but he also has taken the club in to administration.
Money must be spent to achive things - Ridsdale board whent too far.

Time for fresh blood, i have back SG all the way but i have always wanted KB out.
Both KB & SG out.

Agree2 Disagree0

Seriously, HOW can people say Bates is worse than Ridsdale?

Absolute CLOWNS!

Lucas Radebe for manager with Jimmy Floyd Hasselbank as his No 2 interesting combo don't ya think

Believable3 Unbelievable9

The same Radebe who wasn't even interested in coaching our youth team?

Agree1 Disagree3

Let's leave a living legend out of this mess, i have alot of respect for Lucas.

Agree3 Disagree0

Lucas is too nice, don't think he'd cut it as a manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

If we are living in a dream world, How about Vinny Jones & Batty as his number 2? we can but dream!

Does anyone understand why we are signing midfield players when the defence needs improving. Is Grayson just the blind!!!

Believable4 Unbelievable0

We needs players from front to back the best way to improve the team is a new manager

Agree6 Disagree1

Grayson has been told he can't sign another defender until he gets rid of one, i.e O'Brien, Bruce or Bromby.

Agree5 Disagree1

He's clueless, doesn't what he's doing

Agree4 Disagree1

He hasnt sorted the main issues out before, why expect him to now. He doesnt learn from experience so I dont see how he can improve as a manager or us improve as a team. Same mistakes season after season.

Agree4 Disagree0

Ever thought he's trying to sort out new def's but with littel money for transfer fee & wages this will not be easy.

bates needs to go not grayson.

Agree0 Disagree3

Grayson has signed players which he believes to be good enough to play at championship level . things didnt work out simple as that . need to be spending 1mil + on each player if we r gonna get promoted but bates is too stingey .if our strikers could hit the net maybe we would move up the table .

Agree0 Disagree0

Defenders are always the hardest to sign - take a look at Arsenal & Scumchester and the problems they're having even with serious cash to spend. Loan defenders tend to be rejects or youngsters with potential. We already have a few in each of those categories and we need a bit of nous more than we need potential to support the likes of Lees & White and help them develop. Grayson's right to be patient and a bit of patience wouldn't go amiss amongst some of the 'fans' on here.

15 Jan 2012 19:19:26
We should loan olafinjana great defensive midfielder, he has only played once for hull. Don't know why. Ed do u have any idea why? {Ed003's Note - No Idea }

Believable5 Unbelievable1

NOW that would be a great addition. he's a beast, combo with a pick of Clayton / Howson / Delph / Snodgrass / Townsend.. Tasty Midfield

Agree0 Disagree0

Forget warnock, poyet and Matteo.in my opinion Billy Davies could do the job.did very well with forest without any backing.play offs 3 years on trot.even leeds have more financial clout than forest.look what's happened to them since he went.I like Grayson but we will never finish in play offs under him now.bates to blame as much but he owns the c,ub so won't sack himself.we have to accept we are a championship club for fair few years

Believable4 Unbelievable7

Billy Davies is a grade A pr!ck. it'd be like Clough all over again.

Agree6 Disagree1

Clough was the best manager at the time. leeds players decision at the time cost Leeds - Notts Forest won the European cup twice, with Clough we would be as big as MU, and won every thing for ten years at the time.

Agree3 Disagree2

He was no better than Don Revie at the time.

Agree3 Disagree0

I share the 3rd poster`s opinion, he would have brought in the players that won forest the euro cups etc and we would have continued our success..

Agree1 Disagree0

Did a great job at forest didn't he (not) .... remember his saying at Leeds... job done.. shows his intelligence when it comes to football.... as above total idiot

Agree2 Disagree0

15 Jan 2012 20:24:32
its time for Simon Grayson to go. some of our performances this season have been complete disasters and discracefull. Don Revie would of been turning in his grave after that 5-0 home defeat. im sorry everybody but GRAYSON IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO GET US PROMOTED TO THE PREMIERSHIP. we need to get another manager in asap. Robert Snodgrass is the only current Leeds united player who seems to play for our badge. COME ON KEN BATES what more wrong does Simon Grayson have to to to convince you that he aint good enough for the Leeds united job anymore ? i think we should get in Neil Warnock asap. and as far some of our fans saying who would want the job well who the hell wouldnt want the job ? i mean COME ON we are one of the biggest clubs in the country and proud

Believable7 Unbelievable3

I maybe Paul Rachubka might have been at fault against Blackpool and obviously there are others that play for the badge e.g Clayton, Lees, Lonergan etc.

Agree0 Disagree3

SG has had three times the amount of money to spend on wages than Barnsley, and we are three points in front of them! A good manger would get alot more out of the players we have and any decet manager would not have signed/given new contrcats to so many many hopeless players:

Rachubka
Connelly
Parker
Bruce
O Brien
Bromby
Paddy
Brown
Sam
Forsell

Are there any more? We could have three or four quality players in stead!

Agree5 Disagree0

Shame On you! Paynter! You forgot him!

Agree4 Disagree0

Yeah, hands up I forgot, Barndoor should have been top of the list!

Agree1 Disagree0

15 Jan 2012 20:06:15
Pappa Smurf doesn't want us to go up this year, or he'll have to pay Gerald Krasner £20 million, just watch the tranfer money come in for whoever is manager next year, and he'll sack Grayson at end of season to blame him.

Believable7 Unbelievable3

The money doesn't go to krasner

Agree1 Disagree0

A lot of truth in this.

Agree3 Disagree1

Good Post.. He'll let things tick over this season, SG's contract is up at the end of the season isnt it, so he'll have done his 3 years Kept is legacy of getting us out of L1. Then the coffers will open for a New Man to take us onwards & upwards.. Watch this space.

Agree0 Disagree0

The money goes from 8p in pound to 30p in pound bates exstended deal for 10 years so that will take to 2017 before we dont have to pay money back.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Jan 2012 19:35:39
i dont mind grayson but now,s the time to get 2 or 3 new player,s a strong c/f like craig davis from barnsley m/f like delf and r/b dont no who and if we dont get them worrying times ahead

Believable2 Unbelievable0

15 Jan 2012 19:05:17
everyones moaning about kb not giving simone money but there are plenty of managers who can do a job without money where sg clearly cant e.g norwich didnt spend much money n got promoted so maybe is time for a new manager to try and spark the team

Believable9 Unbelievable1

Totally agree with this post. its time for us to move on. im sorry everybody but GRAYSON IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH to get us to the premiership.

Agree8 Disagree1

Norwich n blackpool r one in a blue moon ov going up with out spending loads ov money normally teams that av spent go up

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Jan 2012 18:36:08
Grayson is given a playing staff budget. He can use it however he likes, on transfers, loans and wages. This budget is in the top 6 in this division. That's why Bates has said promotion is the target. If we finish outside the playoffs Grayson will be sacked, not before. Grayson alone decides who we sign. If a player he wants asks for too much money it's Grayson who pulls the plug. I like Grayson and I think he is a good manager who will get better, but he knows the score this season - top 6 or he is out.

Believable4 Unbelievable2

The wage budget is the lowest as a percentage of revenue in the division - FACT. Transfer budget last 3 years - MINUS £11 million - FACT. Check your FACTS before posting please.

Grayson has had no money to work with. Nor will whoever comes next as long as Bates is in charge.

Agree3 Disagree3

Where on earth do you get minus £11m from FACTboy? And while I admire your confidence your first fact is both unverifiable and not a FACT.

Agree0 Disagree0

Alot of the other teams have been building there squads up for the last 10 yrs so should be ahead of leeds if u look at it that way .

Agree0 Disagree0

Leeds probably do have a higher wage budget but this is spread over a bigger squad .if we reduce size of squad we can afford to pay a higher quality players wage.

leeds united have taken TNS winger Craig Jones on a week's trial.

www.welsh-premier.com/index.php/headline-news/4249-saints-wingman-jones-in-leeds-united-trial

god help us all

Believable0 Unbelievable1

This is probably in case the Rogers deal fails in getting a permit.

Agree1 Disagree1

Rodgers plays on left mid, Craig jones Plays on the right it more likely ends the careers of Lloyd sam at leeds

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe snoddy has decided hes had enough and has decided to ask for transfer

Nothing at all from Grayson or Bates since the Palace game.
Papers touting Warnock for the Leeds role.

See ya Simon....
But No Thanks Neil

Believable6 Unbelievable2

As stated in the papers,Bates tried to get Warnock as manager when he was Chelsea chairman
The only stubbling block will be Warnock sorting out his compensation from QPR
And the January window will be closed in a couple of weeks.

Agree1 Disagree0

Warnock tipped for Foxes

Agree0 Disagree3

Leicester have just got a new manager in
so think thats rubbish

Agree1 Disagree0

YES PLEASE get warnock in asap to get us promotion. im sorry but WE WONT GO UP TO THE PREMIERSHIP WITH GRAYSON. mr bates its time for a change asap please.

Agree6 Disagree0

With warnock we wont stay in the premiership

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont want warcock full stop he just cant stop moaning . billy davies defo

Agree0 Disagree0

Warnock would be brill look at his track record. i spoke to him once and he said he would walk to leeds if he had half a chace to take over. {Ed003's Note - really }

Didn't think Leeds played that bad yesterday. I was at the game and defensively we looked solid-ish but lacked a cutting edge going forward.
We were in there half for most of the game and Palace were happy to counter-attack which they did effectively. Brown, Thompson and Pugh (again) was poor whilst Snodgrass, Clayton and both centre halfs played well.
I feel we need a right back (Lichaj) a centre midfielder (Delph) and a striker. Also St Ledger wouldn't be a bad signing after being successful at Preston but faltering at Leiester!

Believable2 Unbelievable4

We were playing ten men

Agree5 Disagree1

Did u see their goal?? def allowed martin to run 10 yards, didnt even charge down the shot, bit like o'b defending

Agree1 Disagree0

So were Fulham, against a team in the relegation zone, who's top striker got sent off and they lost 3-1

Agree1 Disagree0

Yes we were, but that doesn't guarantee winning a game. It's strange how all the people who went yesterday appreciate the fact that we played well, and that on another day we could have taken all three points. Palace scoring early was the worse case scenario as they are good defensively. We looked quite solid at the back, but Thompson is not the answer to the right back problem. Brown played alright but he offers nothing going forward, and we needed a creative spark yesterday. I have no idea what had happened to becchio, he looks a shadow of the player of last season.

Agree1 Disagree2

Brown played alright? Are you sure you ?
I must have been at a differnt match.

Agree1 Disagree0

Defensively leeds are now getting better it will make mistakes but look at the age of the defence thats playing at the moment .

Agree1 Disagree0

15 Jan 2012 16:24:20
Ed i was just wondering do u no much about the welsh winger craig jones who is joining us on trial {Ed001's Note - not a thing, I can't say I follow the Welsh leagues at all.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

15 Jan 2012 15:11:57
i think it sumed it up for me as i was watching thw Arsenal match on monday when the commentator said there were only 1 player playing that played the previous year against them.......injures yes but cant cope with changing like that

Believable5 Unbelievable0

15 Jan 2012 15:03:09
if leeds sign delph this should be the line up
lonergan
thompson lees odea white
snodgrass clayton delph townsend
mccormack becchio
M.O.T

Believable1 Unbelievable4

Stop with line up's its boring every-time i come on some joker always posting his best 11

Is that you Simon

Agree11 Disagree0

Becchio and McCormack still can't work together. I would put Howson in behind McCormack when he's back, and Nunez until then.

Agree6 Disagree2

15 Jan 2012 15:01:28
leeds should sign
lowton - sheffield united
jordan rhodes - huddersfield
billy sharp - doncaster
delph - aston villa (loan)

Believable2 Unbelievable4

Jordan Rhodes - lol -good luck getting Ken to finance that one.

Agree1 Disagree1

Sharp too for that matter!

Leeds are giving a trial to Craig Jones ANOTHER winger.
Source: Welsh Premier League Football
Surely this means that there's a distinct possibility Snodgrass is going or the people at ER just haven't got a clue what they're doing.

Defenders a CENTRAL midfielder and a striker please.....it's not rocket science.

Believable4 Unbelievable3

15 Jan 2012 14:16:56
Get Warnock in and bring Warren Barton with him as Captain to try and get this present squad fired up, because at present we are just treading water and on the verge of sinking towards the relegation zone,1 point off the plays offs we maybe, but 5 more results like our last 5 and we be in freefall.

Believable5 Unbelievable2

Is that you Colin.................?

Please leave our club mr Grayson..

cant see clayton or lees going to bolton if people are watching the same leeds team as me no prem club would want them leeds are a average team with one good player at the moment and thats snoody townsend thinks he,s to good for the championship and trys to be clever

Believable2 Unbelievable0

15 Jan 2012 13:32:42
Interesting that Grayson hasn't officially said one word about yesterdays game,Not very often snodin comes out and does the talking after a match.should we read anything into that or was he just upset with the teams performance..again..?

By the way what's happened to becchio?
he either looks like a player who has lost all confidence or he has the body language of a player that doesn't want to play for the club/manager anymore..thoughts?

Believable7 Unbelievable2

I have been thinking the same thing all day,Grayson has not responded to yesterdays game at all,I have been on all the sites and absolutely nothing,I find that very strange.

Agree3 Disagree0

Thats as he is in the boardroom monday, he is getting SACKED! check OS at around 2pm

Agree0 Disagree1

15 Jan 2012 13:26:31
It's not SG fault it's the players who make da mistakes all SG can do is ask them to do what needs to b done , but SOME players just could'nt care less , no heart, no fight, no pride in the leeds shirt

Believable3 Unbelievable7

15 Jan 2012 11:49:00
Bates looking to axe Grayson - he knows what we all know. Grayson will not take Leeds up this year. He wont even make the top 6!
Waiting for the tide to turn with the fans and then he will pull the trigger.
Do it know before it is too late. We need someone in before the transfer window closes.
SG has proven to be tactically inept and has assembled a team that simply isn't good enough and doesn't want to play for him!

Believable7 Unbelievable3

No offence but I doubt Bates is waiting for the tide to turn with the fans. He's not bothered what the fans or anyone thinks to be quite honest he'll do it when he wants to. I suspect he's already made his mind up.
He may hold off until the window shuts though so that the new manager can't demand a huge war chest of cash.
It's no secret that he wants Di Matteo and since no one else is courting him, why rush?

Agree2 Disagree1

Di Matteo would be a disaster. Let SG have the rest of the season and judge him then.

Agree2 Disagree1

Give grayson some money hes ad nothing in 3 years even if someone comes in as manager they will av f~~k all to spend to change the team

Agree2 Disagree2

15 Jan 2012 11:26:37
Its in scotland u can't be registered if uv already played for 2 teams not england so its possible beckford will be back not that I want him he's been found out now L1 flat track bully he is don't need him rest becchio and either play forsell with mcCormack or 5 across the park pugh and thompson more defensive and clayts getin forward abit get the ball down and pass it not just hump it to becchio to give a foul away runners in the box from midfield get a right back (lichja) center back (chambers) and looks like fabs coming back so thompson can fit in rb cm sh*t give the lad a go upfront he seems comfortable almost anywhere

15 Jan 2012 10:47:10
I applaud SG for the work, commitment & passion he's given to our club and I'm also very grateful that he got us out of League 1 but my opinion is that he should go.
The inconsistency and alarming dip in form is worrying enough to make you contemplate changing the manager but even worse than that is the lack of ability to bring players in to strengthen the club. This side is arguably weaker than the one that got promoted from League The fact that we are so inactive in signing people (except loanees) during the transfer window suggests that either Grayson is weak in this area or Bates will not release the funds because he has no faith in him. Either way that's not good for Leeds.
Simon is a former defender, yet for at least the last three years our defence has been woeful. He has to take responsibility for that.
This is also a pivotal time for Leeds. If we don't begin to show any ambition we face the real threat of losing Howson and White at the end of the season for free and the potential of Snodgrass and other ambitious players wanting to go to further their careers.
I do think Grayson is a good manager but i think he's taken us as far as he can and the two main contenders for the role Di Matteo & Poyet would be an improvement, injecting much needed energy and excitement to the club (Warnock no matter what your opinion on him just ain't going to happen).Di Matteo & Gus Poyet are probably the two choices of management that Bates has been eyeing for some time.
Either way something has to change quick. Some of us are starting to look over our shoulders as much as we're looking up the table and I suspect it's much easier to lure a manager with the prospect of potential promotion charge than a relegation dogfight.
This is just my opinion by the way and come match day I'll be 100% behind team, manager, chairman etc
MOT

Believable7 Unbelievable2

Sensible post mate on the same wavelength there, as much as S.G is a good man an a fan of our club i think its time to move forward with management and coaches - our scouting is abysmal of for every 3/4 signings S.G has made only one may stand out with future potential..

Agree5 Disagree1

Di Matteo would just be called "Chelsea scum" after every bad result. Poyet? No thanks.

Both would be an enormous backward step.

Agree1 Disagree0

15 Jan 2012 09:05:41
I think the premiership is essential this season because, think of the players you will loose snodgrass, becchio, mccormack, howson white, thats the quality of our team ,and then promotion the season after, more likely relegation with bates transfer policy.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Are any of the above players premiership quality? snodgrass maybe

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Jan 2012 08:29:28
There is no way at all that warnock will be Leeds next manager.when Dennis wise n poyet left us they said there main reason was to work nearer home ,I know wise went to Newcastle but it ment he didn't have to travel every day ,Bates said in a interview after he will never get a manager in again who will not move to area,Warnock lives in Cornwall and travels every day to work,he loves the area that much.never guna happen guys .

Believable0 Unbelievable0

15 Jan 2012 01:47:27
I see a lot of ppl talking about SG being sacked, i hope hes not, still a chance of playoffs with shoestring budget. And if it does happen i doubt warnock would be next manager, would be di matteo for sure, mot.
