True post, Brann just beat Odd Grenland 6-2 with Austin scoring. Hopefully it's his farewell as he joins Leeds next week

Very good goal by a real work horse. Lets get the deal done.

First time poster here, so go easy
To start with, why are people saying Beckford and gradel are coming back?, yeah I'd love gradel back as I thought he was far better than Snoddy, but beckford?, I'd much prefer somebody like Mavin sordell, or Charlie Austin.. But I do like craig mackail smith, and he would be a terrific signing.. Varney and Norris aren't good enough for me, but the rumour of Rudolph Austin must be the best I've heard, I've seen YouTube clips and if we can get hold of him cheaply, it would be brilliant, also buszaky would be a fantastic signing but would he come to Leeds?, maybe paddy kenny could persuade him..

Fair comment,... I agree with most but also feel Norris and Varney could do a job... As thevprevious poster stares, it s a squad game now, you can t expect all your first team tp play 40 odd games a season. You need at least one other good player to fill in each position.
Not sure about the Mackail Smith stuff though..... He s a good player, but at that price??? You ve got to be kidding. Have you seem his goal ratio compared to Beckford? You can say all you like about the greedy b$stard, but he certainly knows where the onion back is. Also, he s obviously still got a bit of feeling for Leeds. Yes, he walked away for the money, but personally I d still welcome him back. We all make mistakes and do things we wish we had nt... It s a short career. Not a big fan of the ex player syndrome... A bit like getting it on with an ex girlfriend.... It s often a big mistake.... However, for Beckford, I d make an exception....

Im not sure Austin picks up enough yellow cards to fit in with us...

As for it's like goin back with a ex girlfriend. I guess that depends on how good the action was and she still had the legs.

I don't think 'lazy' Beckford (and lets face it he is lazy at times!) would ever fit in with the 'Warnock' style of football....?

We need someone who is going to be chasing and fighting for the ball for the whole game, not someone who hides until a ball is played through to him?

Have just had a look at the QPR promotion winning team from 11/12. I know/have faith that Warnock gets the best and more out of his players, and at times can turn average players into decent one. That QPR had a fewreal quality(taarabt,buszaky,faurlin) players on top of a load of average players. I get the feeling our signings so far are between average and decent players, butr hopefully with warnock we can kick on and get a few marquee signings in, the likes of, buszaky,mackail smith, another CB for ajson pearce to play with.

True but what's wrong with lees playing along side pearce at the back I think he will do a good job for us at the back mot

Lees isn't quick enough,not ready yet imo,was at fault for quite a lot of goals last season

I second that Lees might not be ready just yet. The games that i went to last season, when under pressure, he would get flustered and panicky. He could surprise us though with a much better CB a long side in Pearce. Can we afford to hope he does come good?

Becchio and Nunez were in Gala casino last night looking very miserable despite rinsing it on the 3 card poker table… I hope Nunez’ football sense is better than his fashion sense this year; he looked like a cockatoo mixed with a concertina! Source: I was sitting next to them.

I dont believe they looked 'miserable'. someone has to be pulling quite a face to even be known as being sad. keep making stuff up but keep it to yourself.

I doubt very much that they would go to Gala & what the heck is 3 card poker??

I think if I was sat next to you I'd be pretty sad too, sorry.....

Ramadan is 1 mnth long

Ramadan is to do with not eating while the sun is up. how does that have anything to do with business?

Would you like travelling all around the world hungry and thirsty ?no and also ramadan is a month were nothing else matters other than praying .

One of my staff is a muslim - pretty sure she'll be working through Ramadan. Makes no difference when it comes to work.

Insufficient energy during the day to conduct business perhaps?

Everyone works through Ramalamdingdong, we had several muslims at a company I worked for and nobody was away absent during the whole period....

They pray at different times of the day and they fast througth the day and stuff there faces at night. So don't see how this changes anything.

I actually did report a month ago that Leeds were tracking Mackail Smith, I also said it would involve McCormackto go the other way.

morning all, do know bout you but im really really bored now with all this "ive got a friend who works at ER, met the ER cleaner in Whitelocks, ive been told so and so and this will happen on Tuesday week, shared a pint with NW in the Whip etc", as someone had previously posted, expect the majority of signings to be agreed and then a small announcement to be made, if its done before the signings are made everyones price will go up. We all know something positive is happening behind the scenes.

Can we please go back to all the rumours and banter being about players, tactics, line ups etc ?!?!?! its much more interesting.....

Don't know about you lads but i think we need another good winger. Just to take pressure off Rogers, which will allow him to feel his way into the English game. Also will give snoddy freedom to do what snoddy does best.
