The lads went to the grosvenor casino for AJ fight didn't know they had just left the awards do feel sorry for those who paid £100+ to see them. should get some money back

If only they'd shown same kind of fight last 8 games of the season. Their premature exit not really boxing clever in my opinion. All because we were knocked out of the playoffs. You can count on next season though. I'll round off by saying looks like Charlie's transfer has hit the ropes!

Agree1 Disagree0

15 May 2017 17:17:42
He told me months ago Liverpool. Obviously things change all the time in football but with the opportunity of champions league I think Liverpool will be ideal for him he wants it and they will need a good squad next season.

Agree0 Disagree1

15 May 2017 18:10:31
Hardy, what makes Charlie think his behaviour a week ago has endeared him to Liverpool or any PL club?

Agree2 Disagree0

15 May 2017 18:23:31
Its business george nothing to do with loyalty. i would do the same in his position. You would do the same, its a short career get as much money as you can. I would rather be a Leeds fan on my own yacht than thinking about what could of been. Blame the Premier League and the F.A not the players.

Agree0 Disagree1

15 May 2017 19:03:52
Charlie was on £300 the first season he played at leeds plus apperance money which will have been under £500 plus if he scored say £600. then he went to Fleetwood same money. Then he came back to Leeds played all season on £2,500 maybe £3,000 with bonuses got young player of the season. Cellino offered to double his wage £5,000 on 3 year deal going up £1,000 each year so he would get £8,000 a week at 27. and everyone wonders why he did what he did. Meanwhile players not as good as him getting £20,000-100,000 a week at 22-25 years old.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - some are getting guaranteed contracts of 45k a week when they turn 17, for two years. That is kids of the age of 13 and less being offered that kind of money to join Premier League academies.}

15 May 2017 19:07:39
Because of course he's so poorly paid at Leeds. No doubt he earned 10 times what I did last year and still behaved like a spoilt brat! Poor Charlie I feel for him. not

Agree0 Disagree0

15 May 2017 19:39:25
Hardy. It is business you are right about that but there are some things which transcend business and money. Professionalism. He could've played the final game and waved goodbye to the fans after being there so long. His risk of injury not great. He should be concerned that PL clubs will not like what he did. No one including me doubts his ability. He has class on the ball. Off it not so good.

Agree2 Disagree0

15 May 2017 19:42:01
This always makes me laugh fans with big beer bellies saying ''i would play for free for my team''. ''i would cut my arm off for my team''. But you all sit there criticising while these young lads sacrifice from the age of 9 years old YES 9 years old sacrificing everything to be a pro footballer. Let me tell you about trying to be a pro player. you cannot go on holiday when you want, you can not eat what you want, you can not drink what you want, you are taught from a young age you need to be professional week in week out month after month year after year. When you have tried doing that tell me about staying loyal. And i'm not talking about playing for your local sunday league team i'm talking about kids being pushed to breaking point always on trial always having to prove themselves to meet the standards. And guess what? if your not good enough in the end you get tossed aside like garbage to go get a warehouse job. So no i don't blame Charlie Taylor for wanting what he's worth he deserves all he gets in the PL £30,000-£100,000 14 years service from 9 years old get in Charlie lad.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 May 2017 19:44:15
Canada white did you sacrifice?

15 May 2017 19:51:10
Agree George me personally i would of played but will not knock him for the hard work and sacrifice for 14 years.

15 May 2017 20:15:44
Same happened with Sam he was on peanuts young player of the year Cellino ofered double wage £5,000 a week he's on £25,000 a week now at west ham. We need to accept we are not a big club anymore. we cannot compete with PL wages

Agree0 Disagree0

15 May 2017 21:04:37
We cannot compete with pl wages under Cellino. Nobody knows how much money rads has but if he had as much money as contacts were in for a treat

Agree0 Disagree0

15 May 2017 21:18:18
Rare I say this but have to commend Hardy on his response. It's a decent argument back by him justifying Charlie's mischievous behaviour. I have no doubts Cellino could've made a superior contract offer to Charlie and it probably angered him and his agent. Shame.

Agree1 Disagree0

15 May 2017 21:43:15
You sound like you have some experience there Hardy - did you used to play for an academy?

Agree0 Disagree0

15 May 2017 22:36:46
You're making it sound like £5k a week is like being on the breadline during the depression. It's insulting to fans who earn a fraction of what they do, when we're told they're low paid. Fwiw, I'd be very happy to play for Leeds for "only" £1k a week.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 May 2017 00:00:41
Canada white and sg. Youd play for leeds for $5000 if best mate at sheff wed is on $25,000 and liverpool want to pay you $50,000. I doubt it.

Agree0 Disagree1

16 May 2017 00:28:10
Hardy I have turned down higher paid jobs out of loyalty in the past. Bear in mind I'm a regular worker like most guys here. Poor Charlie has been paid a fortune to most of us to do what he supposedly loves. Where does it start being greed in your eyes? He has earned more in his last few seasons than most of us will in our lives and that isn't enough to keep him happy Go to the Premier League if anyone will want you and buy what you want. It's so hard for him I'm almost crying.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 May 2017 01:13:55
Ausman yes I'd want more money of course, I'd be a liar if I said I wouldn't but would I refuse to do what I'm very well paid to do in the meantime? No I wouldn't because I have pride. I'm damn good at my job and right now I'd rather work somewhere else. I'm looking for something else but do I stop doing my share? No I don't as if I did the place wouldn't run as well and my friends would have to pick up the slack! Plain and simple he's unprofessional and acting in an imature way. Sad way to bow out and he'll be embarrassed about it when he grows up!

16 May 2017 09:34:57
As BW said the other day. The unprofessional bit came from mc or monk refusing to sell in january then not playing him in half the games. Stupid decision. Either sell or play.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 May 2017 09:59:14
Well agree Charlie was on a miserly wage compared to what he will earn elsewhere, and it's not really relevant that he earns much more than us. And agree it could probably all have been resolved ages ago but for MC's stubbornness. But these are all separate points to the issue of him not playing in that last game. He could have said his goodbye to the fans, and we would have understood and wished him well. Now for me that one stupid decision has soured his time with us

Agree0 Disagree0

16 May 2017 14:17:46
Ausman, I've had lesser paid jobs than previous because I've enjoyed them more and it's what I wanted to do. Also I'd never want to play for the Wendies, no matter how much they offered me, unless I scored loads of own goals of course. At the end of the day, we can't afford £40k a week, but for PL clubs that a reserve player's wage.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 May 2017 14:17:12
thanks Aus, for me it comes down to a few things. yes they earn a lot but have a talent and rare chance in life many of us don't get but look at it this way. In any job you want to get paid what you deserve imagine if you got paid far less than other who you knew you were better than.

I was on set for new baraclay card advert and getting paid good money but if i knew the extras where getting paid more than me i'd have the hump as i should be getting paid more. Then chance to try against the best. all professional sports men want to be the best, they want to grow and test themselves why play in champ when you can play in prem maybe even champs league.

Taylor could be on fringes of england sqaud so go and try and push yoursefl lastly as said before we kept him then didn't play him for a lesser player that would of done me in, i would not work for a show if they refused to release me to a better show and then made me understudy if i was better than the new lead actor finally george I am glad your back as you do make me laugh.

liverpool will not like talyors aittude and might harm a move. did they not sign suarez after he bit a bloke to make the move go through. something he did again to get to baraclona. you have a point teams do take high moral stance.

In reference to the post about singing footballers, if you want a good laugh google Neymar Jr and his instasnaptweets on youareatube or whatever social media it is. He honestly believes he has a future as a singer and it is like some kind of parody when you hear him. You will thank me for this:

Think we can finally "bury" the Beckford back to Leeds rumour. Only Jermaine we should be interested in is Defoe.

Agree3 Disagree0

15 May 2017 16:37:03
Defoe is actually a secret Leeds fan lol. now that would be a good partnership Wood and defoe.

Agree1 Disagree0

15 May 2017 19:41:29
Hardy you are right. Wood and Defoe combo too hot to handle in the Championship and would provide the alternate way of playing and scoring goals.

I thought I'd contribute the yearly Beckford rumour! 😜

love grasyon but beckford was never a championship player. league one only. look at his record outside leauge one was very poor let along now he is 106 years old.

I'd have Larry back any day. He achieved 7th - the same position we are all raving about now - with a poor team and awful chairman. imagine what he could have done with some actual investment.

So I did my annual trawl through the soon to be out of contract players last night, obviously some I didn't know, some unrealistic and the like, some might extend contracts yet too but these are the ones that I feel are realistic and would offer us something. So out of these who would you like to see in a Leeds shirt next season? Adrian (GK) , Stockdale (GK) , Hennessey (GK) , Ruddy (GK) , Adler (GK) Caceres (CB) , Djourou (CB) , Taylor (CB) , Kolasinac (LB) , Izaguirre (LB) , Fryers (LB) , Leiva (CM) , Adam (CM) , Ledley (CM) , Leadbitter (CM) , Muntari (CM) , Barazite (AM) , Gouffran (LW) , Vucinic (ST) , Kone (ST) , Seferovic (ST) , Solanke (ST) , Avenatti (ST) , Sanogo (ST) .

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed007's Note - Celtic triggered a years contract extension on Izaguirre buddy.}

15 May 2017 14:28:33
Fair enough Ed, as I say I expect a couple will sign new contracts or trigger extensions, surprised to see Solanke on that list for instance.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Solanke's very money orientated, aided and abetted by a money hungry stepdad, and is on his way out of Chelsea because of his financial demands there. He has held talks with Celtic but if I'm honest I don't see how Celtic can afford to pay him if Chelsea can't.
It would be a similar deal to us getting Dembele for £500k while another English club would have had to pay millions but even factoring in there's no real fee I still don't see Celtic making a kid one of their top earners.}

15 May 2017 15:39:37
Read up on it Ed, the money thing was a trash story by a tabloid that got quickly retracted. Solanke supposedly turned down the offer due to a lack of guarantees over playing time with Chelsea looking to bring in 2 new strikers, similar situation to Fletcher when at MU. He turned Pool down for the same reason and might turn Celtic down too (not sure how Celtic are in the forward department ie what chance he would likely get) . Leeds would have to pay a decent whack to get him, I would guess £8m total, 4 or 5 of that up front with the rest add ons, but he can play ST, LW, RW and AM, all of which we need bodies for so he might be willing to take the step down to the championship, long shot but possible.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - OK.}

15 May 2017 18:09:03
I would like Radz to stump up some cash and let monk buy some players rather than rely on free agents. Why look for gk? Green did well for us this season.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 May 2017 20:20:53
As would I Hardy but it would be stupid to stump up cash if you can get as good a player for free. If we can bring in a couple of marquee players for a fee and round out our paper thin squad with some free agents that's good business. As for the keeper we do indeed have one of the best in the league, Stockdale was the best so its still an improvement. With Turnbull on the way out and Silvestri looking like he might be sold we probably need someone else in anyway. This is just a list of available, not people that should walk into the team, I'd love to get Sanogo for instance, think he could be a cracking player with a little guidance that doesn't change because we already have Wood, I'm greedy, I'd like a couple of good players in each position.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 May 2017 22:21:41
Stockdale
Ayling, Bartley, Jansson, Fryers
Adam, Ledley
Solanke, Barazite, Gradel
Wood Balance of fee and frees for less than Villa payed for Scott Hogan. I think this squad walking out onto the field in August would send us up.

Berahdi gummie?

Agree0 Disagree0

16 May 2017 01:06:20
Big fan of him Aus but for me not a starting LB and my personal preference is Ayling at RB, because he gets forward better. When your in a back to the wall game he offers a lot but if we want to go up its about getting forward which isn't his forte. Would definitely keep him in and around the team though, his versatility would get him a lot of time over the season and offers us a good bit of depth.

If Taylor doesn't sign for anyone and waits till his 24th birthday before finding a new club. Do Leeds still get a tribunal fee ?

West Brom have backed out on signing Taylor as they are don't want to gamble on a tribunal fee as we see their offer of £3.5 million not enough. Stoke are in the same position, so it would appear that managers are generally of the same opinion as Pullis. Unless one of the big boys with more dose come in for Taylor, it looks like he won't be getting his Premier League move after all. I wonder what would happen if no team were prepared to take a punt on him and go to a tribunal? Would he re-sign for us or just get a job at Macca's flipping burgers? Anyone in the know (not you Jeff) on the situation if Taylor doesn't sign for any team and how long would the period last where a club has to pay us a tribunal fee? MM
