Use our rumours form to send us leeds transfer rumours.

Well its been a while since I posted and after watching a few games, I believe there are a few things we need

1) A winger or creative pacey midfield player who can supply the ball for some of the strikers, who have been poor mainly due to the service they receive.
2)The attitude of players and fans. what I mean by this. remember the -15 Points season. How we played and the positive support even with the -15 point deduction

Lets get the attitude back. Be positive. off and on the pitch.

Point 1. What strikers?
Point 2. Agree

Agree0 Disagree0

How can we be positive with the sub standard squad we have? And to make things worse we haven't got a penny to invest in the squad even though are revenue is so much higher than any other championship club. GFH are taking us for bigger mugs than bates did IMO

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you for real you have no idea what state bates left us in we were losing money from everywhere under him and still are but no where near as much fans like you have a short memory its going to take time to build this club back up

Agree0 Disagree0

The 15 point season we had some talented players (some better than what we have now) who had passion and pride in playing for Leeds.

Andy Hughes was one of my favourite recent Leeds players. May not have been the most gifted footballer in the world, but he relished playing for Leeds. His work rate and passion made up for his technical shortcomings. What I'm trying to get at is that if we had more players in this mould the crowd would be more behind the time even if they lost.

I no this is a Leeds site.but its a England game tonight though, its got to be the end of £shley Cole, Bains best left back in England if not Europe. Glad he dint go to Manc sc#um. Dare I say it I think Townsend has been learning off Mr Bale. Still a little w@%r at times, not tonight though to be fair the lads looks a real talent

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You got to love Stevie Gerrard .

Agree0 Disagree0

How could anyone love Steven gerrard, he's Scouse? And not a chance with cole, give me a left back who has been so consistent for club an country since the Roberto Carlos era. We needed the win tonight yes so baines would've been my first choice but when were in Brazil next year we will need solidarity in defence which is what cole always gives you, which is why he will get picked and rightly so.

Agree0 Disagree0

A left back or right in this day and age has to add width, Cole dunt do this any more he try's but a lot off time it brakes down. Name the last time Cole gave as much width as Baines did and his dilivery is second to no left back in the world. Yes Cole is a better defender but its about time England give it a go abd attacked teams as they did last night the Cole era is over its Bains and Luke Shaw time. Same with other players time to let our good young players grow so watt if we go out early. Look watt the Germans did a few years back they went to the youth and played players from unfashionable teams.now in top 3 international teams in the world .

Agree0 Disagree0

Baines was awful. As was smalling, we looked weak with this 2. Townsend didn't put a put foot wrong til 65th minute. his first wayward pass. amazing performance by him. Just shows what he can do when played on the right and not the left where we shoved him, typical warnock

Agree0 Disagree0

You do know that leighton baines is also scouse but you only rate him and not gerrard

Agree0 Disagree0

Bains was awfull. We're u waching the game . I also thought Welbeck had a good game. Townsend players v well but still can't do with the Leeds hater

Agree0 Disagree0

Of course I know Leighton baines is Scouse iv met him twice at miles kane concerts (his best mate). Do you really think that if poland took their chances in the first half with all the counter attack football you'd be singing about baines as much? I doubt it. Yes he is magnificent at picking a cross out but we will be punished by teams in the World Cup if we play too far forward. So be realistic mate and stop talking garbage

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah of course you did so why didn't you say baines is scouse to start with then took you a bit of time to reply to it just admit you dint have a clue baines is by far and away the best full back in england

whats happening to this site, no rumours, no banter.its my insight to what's happening at the club. {Ed013's Note - It is always the same over the International period. I will let you into some inside info that I am constantly deleting; Beckford, Alan Smith, Gradel and Messi are all signing tomorrow! Ooops, FACT! Other than that mate it is quiet, why not try getting some interaction going? How about who was the first Leeds United player that gave you inspiration? Would any player since the turn of the year 2000 make the list? If this goes well I will make a poll to find out the favourite}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Because of my age my main time when I started watching was 2001, at the time I started playing aswell and started as a left back, so Ian Harte was was kinda my idol at that age, looking back. Mustn't of really had much of a clue! Although his set plays were quality. {Ed013's Note - Fair play mate, good choice}

Agree0 Disagree0

My insperation was mark viduka. Still should of sold him when ac Milan offered 25 mil. Couldve signed young Torres or Ronaldinho when he was at psg

Tony Currie would have to be my first inspiration, great player, gutted when we sold him to QPR. Post 2000 it would have to be Gary Speed although Batty, McAllister and Strachan push him close, WHAT a midfield!

Agree0 Disagree0

Post 2000?! They'd all gone by 1997!

Alan Clarke when I was growing up - had posters of him on my wall. I see James Milner came on tonight - we should never have let him go!

Agree0 Disagree0

Viduka. Could of played in any of the great Leeds sides. Any team for that matter.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's a hard one as bowyer, bakke, smith, Kewell and viduka were all quality players during the champions league era for us and they all played together so well but if I had to choose it would be viduka. Especially the goal at highbury to keep us up. I was only like 10 and I remember it like it was yesterday, I was that overwhelmed I punched the carpet floor and broke my index finger ha!

Agree0 Disagree0

David Batty. He seemed to epitomize what Leeds stood for when I was growing up.
I loved Speedo too. He seemed to ooze class, . effortless skill and composure.
Strachs for his will to win. He wanted it. and everyone knew it. We d win because Strach made sure of it. ( a bit like BMc said after the last game)
. , the player that most got the heart racing was Yeboah. When he got the ball, everyone seemed to hold their breath. He s going to leather it!

My all time inspirational player for leeds. johnny giles.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bobby Collins who we bought from Everton when he was supposed to be past it. Was most inspirational signing ever. He started the whole mighty whites thing off. Johnny files replaced him after bobby Collins suffered an horrendous broken leg. Away to Valencia. Bobby was only player I have seen who could bend a ball both ways at same time. From 30 yards or under his free kicks caused mayem. Any one else remember wee bobby?

still no new signings either BM feels we don't need anyone (we defo need winger and striker) or we don't have the budget to bring anyone else in.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

. or he is still looking for the right person, or is currently in negotiations. Either way no-one will know anything until the club announces it. CJS

Agree0 Disagree0

Or we will sign someone tomorrow or the day after that.
