it doesn't say agree or disagree - its thumbs up or thumbs down which could mean someone doesn't like the post rather than disagrees with it. not sure why someone would dislike the above statement but i think sometimes people do them as a wind up. I don't pay much attention to them myself.

Whether it's smart or not I like that Christiansen is sticking to his word about wood, shows he means what he says, I doubt that they'll be able to say not to a 3rd bid, especially if it's over 25mil

It's not really up to TC though! If the owner and the board want to cash in then they will and I sure would if it's near 20m his h ads already turned and reports this morning he wants out so get as much as poss and reinvest wisely

You've got a point Dleeds but I'd be surprised if andrea doesn't at least take TCs opinion in to account when making big decisions on the squad and TC has made his stance very clear!

Just sell wood and have done with it. I am sick of the speculation now and the German is apparently questioning whether leeds is a good move for him! You kidding me pal ? Your 5th choice at Hamburg ! In that case I wouldn't take him bad attitude. Sell wood and bring in 2 proven championship forwards.

After Tuesday's draw with Fulham I am concerned over the effect that all these transfer rumours are having on Chris Wood, I am now thinking that a £20-£25M from Everton or Swansea should be accepted as this needs resolving, I'm of the opinion that Wood should of scored in both Preston and the Fulham game and maybe if none of this unrest he would of! Also on reading lots of posts maybe we have had the best out of him, in truth I don't know I'm just worried of the effect that all this is having on a team that was on a very big high after our first couple of games. I like Wood always have but I don't run a football club, also to add that signing MaCbadgekisser is a huge step back, what Leeds are good at is getting players on loan working hard with them and making them better players then they go back and all our hard work is unrewarded! Bartley is a prime example! We have to spend money on a proven striker and not a yesterdays man! MOT

Fact remains, when he doesn't score, more often than not we as a team don't, so a decent replacement would def need to be lined up first

Agree1 Disagree1

16 Aug 2017 21:37:13
Maybe we have been too reliant on him scoring. Games he missed last season we scored but it all gets channeled to him when he plays. Not bothered as long as he puts them away but we are now getting more bodies forward.

16 Aug 2017 21:53:09
Absolutely right mate, don't want the sweaty sock though, I hope he stays he only cost £3M so if he has a standard season we would still get £10M plus for him after the season! I'm looking at this league and I'm thinking there will be no runaway teams this season, the likes of Ipswich and Cardiff will drift away because they have small squads, I said Villa will struggle and I stand by that, one signing doesn't make a winning team! Sunderland will do well under Larry and Boro will be in the mix even though they have a lot harder teams to play than Sheff Utd and Burton! as for Wolves how will their players react when they play the hard tackling teams in the winter rain and cold wind! The same could be said of LUFC but we have a good solid squad with a couple of additions needed, we could do with a Lucas Radebe for CB and a big strong forward like Viduka, and a strong midfield lunatic like Vinnie that puts the fear of God in the minds of some of these fancy foreign footballers! If only! MOT

I think we played quite well last night at least after the first twenty minutes or so and there were some good performances. Saiz looks promising, Anita is good; the two central defenders grew in confidence although Shaunesy is still a bit raw; Ayling wasn't at his best but still good. The keeper did ok and Hernandez had one of his better games. Midfield is the concern Phillips is a worker but too many mis directed passes and positional problems. O'kane ok but not the best I've seen in the championship. Alioski did better but still not good enough. Finally Wood. I've never been a great admirer of his play as I have said a lot before nopw. Up until last year he had been decidedly average and couldn't make it with other clubs. His goal record wasn't brilliant. Last year was an exception. I don't think generally he played that well but in what I think was a freak season he kept coming up with a goal when generally he looked average at best and sometimes poor. Fair play to the man he did what strikers are paid to do - score. My view is that he won't have another freak season and what we will see is an average performance generally and a lot less goals. He is a player who can score goals not a natural goal scorer. If he has time to think about putting the ball in the net he usually doesn't. I think if he stays, he will do well to get into double figures, for goals by January, unless we get a few penalties.

Believable3 Unbelievable4

16 Aug 2017 12:43:21
He will def get into double figures hess, he's still getting in the right areas and getting the chances, once he stops doing that I will agree with you, I thought alioski was average, he never seems to want to take anyone on, Phillips broke a lot of play up and at least tried to support wood, I like you aren't sure about o'kane at all, lots of sloppy passes last night, along with lots of neat and tidy 'safe passes'. for all pablo's great work at times to create half a yard how many times did his final ball fall short or get over hit (just about every one! ) . we were good 2nd half but for all our ball there keeper had 1 save all night

Agree2 Disagree2

16 Aug 2017 17:36:54
Saiz does look a player Hess and most of last night think we played well enough against a team most people fancy . let's not forget this is a early days and also the games have come thick and fast . I still would like T C to rotate his use of Phillips . Hats off to Gk and defence .

Agree0 Disagree1

17 Aug 2017 00:10:19
I think there are a lot of fair comments about the Fulham game, clearly we are not the finished product . I thought that there was a lot we tried that just didn't quite come off, some almost great moves and missed chances. But lots of encouraging signs. It was really interesting to see Saiz and Hernandez together and they had a great little spell, but not enough of it and again didn't quite come off.

Both of them together against Sunderland might be too much and if only one I think Saiz is just a bit more all round in his game. I differ from some re Alioski, I really like what I've seen so far. His attitude looks good, lots of energy and real commitment .

Against Port vale he was getting the ball a lot earlier and had time to run at defenders, Agaibst Oreston he was crowded out and was a bit too far up the field for me, a bit more mixed against Fulham. I'd keep him in the team. I like the idea of see what birdcutt can do against Sunderland and pair him with Okane.

Wood, I think it might be interesting to play without him in the cup just to see the impact it has on other players and whether one or more of them can step up. All in all, i don't think we are in bad shape and just have a feeling that we might have a really stunning performance in a match soon, where a lot of this stuff comes together. Here's hoping!

If Leeds did reject 20 million from Burnley then I presume Leeds have offered him a big pay rise on his reported 8k a week. If Leeds were to sell I would like Danny Ings.

Right for team that will play Sunderland. I will go for this/ Wiedwald, Ayling, Jansson, Cooper Borthwick-Jackson, Bridcutt (he will have a huge point to prove against Sunderland. this is the reason I am picking him, as think he will give 150% in this match! ) Phillips (is the only CM we have that likes to attack the box) Hernandez, Saiz, Dallas, Wood. What are your thoughts, and who would you change/why? MOT

Agree0 Disagree1

16 Aug 2017 18:28:40
I think Hernandez could play as a deeper midfielder, next to O'Kane. With Dallas, Saiz and Alioski behind Wood. Or just play 433. Midfield, O'Kane, Phillips, Hernandez. Attack, Alioski, Wood, Saiz. Just a bit sick of the 4231 tbh.

16 Aug 2017 18:54:07
A man of my own thinking vinny. Is Pablo just a bit light weight for deeper mid though?

Agree0 Disagree1

16 Aug 2017 23:39:36
Totally agree with Vinny I hate this 4-2-3-1, too predictable and it leaves huge space as Fulham showed to get at the back 4! Regardless of wood staying or going we need another forward or 2 in to help lighten the burden on Woody! But look for something different someone who can play off the shoulder turn n run at a defender . Whatever happens I don't expect Woody to be here come September

Agree0 Disagree1

17 Aug 2017 08:29:10
TC used to favour 4 3 3 previously so I'm hoping for a switch back when we're a bit more settled.

Agree0 Disagree1

17 Aug 2017 10:22:25
4231 isn't doing us a massive amount of favours in home matches, in my opinion. If the idea is to play aggressive possession football, I'd rather see a 4-1-2-1-2. Think putting Alioski or Ekuban as second striker would be worth a go. Away from home, 4-2-3-1 might be a better option. Haven't really seen a workable plan B from TC, yet.

If you are going to post on this site, at least do so in grammatically correct English. Your insult should read, "couldn't win against a weakened Fulham side last night". Please note the omitted word and the fact that last night is two words, not one. The next sentence is also gibberish but I do not have enough time to mark all your scribbling. I suppose that as a four year old you have not yet learned either how to spell or construct an intelligible sentence.

Lufc8800, I love your grammar - You come across like a complete window licker. I'm guessing you can't wait to get back to school so you can walk around the play ground like a carpet carrier telling all of the other kids how you 'owned' the Leeds fans. Personally I think your time would be best spent in the lunch time Jolly Phonics Club, then you can come back on here in a few months time and show us all how grown up you are haha. A job search? I wouldn't employ anyone whose English was that poor. Can you imagine the state of his/her CV? It would go straight in the bin. Better to spend some time learning how to construct a sentence and looking for some English 101 courses. At the very least it will help you fill in that McDonald's application form 1988.

just got home after watching a great draw from two attacking sides. travelled to the ground down scott hall road after first having a meeting in Harrogate. I usually come in via the M62 from Ferrybridge. Traffic congestion meant we only just got our seats before kick off. Going through Armley a taxi was beside us going slowly. I noticed that the occupants were four young Fulham fans, (probably attending uni in Leeds) . the lad in the front seat wound down the window and I thought here we go, going to receive some abuse. He was leaning so far out that he could almost touch my car. instead of abuse he chucked his guts along the length of the nearside doors of the taxi. I spent the next twenty minutes avoiding being in the slip-stream of this chucker. Southern Softy who cannot hold his ale. I pi***d myself laughing all the way to the ground.
