Fulham linked with a £15mill move for Dwight Gayle! That’s a statement of intent to push on for the play offs or automatic. Not some unheard of Sunday league window cleaner who scored 4 in 4 years in the Albanian top flight just because he fits with our wage structure! Sort of getting the feeling we won’t ever get back to the promised land to be honest . It gets harder every year and yet we still refuse to buy proven championship quality. #alongroadbackifweevergetback

I’m hoping that we will use the £15m from wood, £5m from Taylor, cbj’s saved wages to put in a sneaky bid and match Man City’s failed bid for Sanchez. #livingthedream 😂👍💙

agree it is hard as every year we get cheery picked. Like wood taylor last year, it is a way of football but it is possible look at Hudds right manager come in and they flew, this year sheff utd and britol are going well, if they can do it then why not us?

Its all about the foundations Berm - all the clubs you mentioned have been building towards their success for a while, going the right way about recruitment and having faith in managers and the project. i think Radz is trying the same approach but it won't be promotion this season and we may not be as successful as other teams have been - time will tell.

Agree1 Disagree0

i agree alf. sometimes i get all depressed and see us as playoff musts, however as you say it is about building and since bates has gone we have moved foward miles in terms of planning for future, stadium, squad and not selling out best for peanuts, we still sell players but at least for decent fee now days

Agree1 Disagree0

16 Jan 2018 18:33:12
Indirectly Leeds related, but how can Fulham afford to bid £15mill for Gayle, without falling foul of FFP? (Unless they're about to sell sessegnon, and if the media is to be believed) . I just don't get how Championship clubs can fairly finance such deals? Particularly Fulham!

Andrea Radrizzani
✔ Big fan of Radz, but being transparent of our transfer strategy AFTER the window has closed, does not fill me with hope for any imminent signings. “I can see yours and all fans are getting impatient but I am responsible since last June and working hard to make our dream come true 🙏🙏🙏💛💙 @LUFC management will be transparent and clear on market transfer strategy in Q&A session in Feb. all focus on millwall now“

Maybe just keeping his cards close to his chest.

Agree1 Disagree0

16 Jan 2018 18:18:59
I think a bit has been lost thro his second language. I'm sure that there will be another signing or two, judging by what TC has said, and Radz is just stating that he will explain our policy at the QA in Feb.

Agree1 Disagree1

16 Jan 2018 18:26:35
agree I like rad but would like a big push for a striker as could be the difference, that said he is a smart man, no point saying we need a striker and will be getting one, might be a tactic to get price of striker down and not disappoint if it don't happen? glad all focus is on Wall as I will be fuming if we lose.

There is some cracking posts below, Spanish, bloody brilliant mate, Whiteman and George great answers and Leodis, Leeeds and Bermondsey top men, It’s like Bermondsey said we really have got some great lads on here, honest ones, dreamers, moaners like me and fantasists, but we all love the same thing Leeds United! It would be a great night if we all could meet up and share a few beers, that invitation would be open to all on here apart from Swadlad and yes Wex that includes you pal!

Top post! Personally, that's why I keep coming back. Disagreeing is much more interesting than everyone being of one accord, and patting each other on the back! Like you say, the mighty whites, and our love for them, are what holds us together, and differences of opinion, is just life! On, on, on!

Isnt it this Friday Berm?

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jan 2018 18:07:07
I think we should invite Swadlad mesen. On a big night out there is always someone who talks utter ball hocks, he would fit the bill.

Agree2 Disagree0

16 Jan 2018 18:22:44
I believe in the south they say "next Friday", as in "the next Friday", so technically accurate for "this Friday", as opposed to "a week on Friday" in the south, or "next Friday" in the north. ?

yeah sorry put post wrong (being dylexic and thick) although DJ is about before and after game on saturday if you can make both, but looking forward pre game warm up on Friday night

looking forward to Saturday with me and a couple of mates down to ER to see the game, although got an awful feeling we will lose. one mate can't make it so got a ticket for sale as he wants to make his money back if possible. Its for the Kop block N6 near the front, pretty sure it is good seat apart from you will be sitting next to three southerners. he wants face value which is 28.00 if possible? also wanted to say thanks to eds for this site, as I have said I don't often get to ER and never really get a chance to mix with leeds fans, but thanks to this site meeting up with Alf on Friday for a few drinks and DJ and his brother on Saturday before and after the game. Really makes me feel closer to the club and helps me feel a part of the match day experience. So really grateful for all the help and looking forward to a good weekend regardless of result! MOT

Think we will win bw. i'm going 4-0. Pontus up front and hat trick. I agree about this site. And the eds. We may all argue and often disagree. But we are all leeds.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - to be honest, in the main, this is one of the more agreeable sites. I think in large part down to the work your Leeds editor did (his number escapes me as I know him by his name) when he was around. He was a nice guy so created a nice atmosphere around the site, which Ed003 did well to build on when he was not about. So it is a fairly easy site for the rest of us to look after, very easy in comparison to certain sites that is for sure.

But what really makes it what it is are the characters using it - we have been lucky with some great posters on here. I grudgingly have to include (through gritted teeth) both you Aus and Berm in that, though it pains me to do so!}

16 Jan 2018 15:00:43
Agreed👍🏻. And enjoy the game BW!

Can't make it this weekend but looking forward to incriminating evidence from you lot with photos on the sightings page. I don't have to say it, but I will, - have a great time - you few, you happy few; you band of brothers.

Call me an old romantic but I'd sign Alfie haarland's lad in a heartbeat. Kid knows what it takes to wear that shirt

You old romantic. What about Thomas Brolins boy ?

I still have nightmares about brolin.

16 Jan 2018 18:01:14
Apart from that one game against Man Utd?

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jan 2018 10:32:53
And the game against the 'ammers (Chapman's return on loan, sent off after about a half hour) and many other games where he starred. I dunno why people always say he was such a bad player

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jan 2018 11:42:32
Let's be honest, for £4.5 million, at that time, he was bad! Yep, had a few great games, but probably cost half a million per good game!

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jan 2018 11:56:57
Now I don't know too much about Chris Martin but; he is 4th on the Derby strikers list. Derby prefer a man who is 33, he has a strike rate of 1 in 25 this season. Just remind me, why is he such a good catch?

Believable5 Unbelievable0

16 Jan 2018 12:07:16
He wouldn't be a good signing as you say naff scoring record last 25 matches and on silly moneyfor me its either splash out on proven striker or give the young uns a chance

16 Jan 2018 14:04:03

Hi Guys, Question! Anita in his natural CM position or Kliche this Saturday? should have De bock available but obviously viera injured, okane suspended, running out of options me personally I would be tempted to play anita there, as his passing usually is consistent, this is the team i would play sat i would go for a more robust line up as millwall will try to out muscle us, my line up would be wieldfeld, Beradi, Janssen, Cooper, De bock, Phillips, Anita, Dallas, Hernandez, Roofe, Lassoga Subs; Lonergan, Shaugnessy, Pennington, Kliche, Alioski, Wilks, Sako going for a 2-0 win with Dallas and pablo netting, looking forward to my trip up to ER few beers in peacock and a pint or 2 and a Rant about all things leeds with Bermo MOT brothers 😎

16 Jan 2018 11:43:37
I would play alioski rather than lassiga. wouldn't play lassoga again.

Agree4 Disagree1

16 Jan 2018 12:46:33
Thought he struggled against them last time Aussie! too lightweight and easily knocked off the ball, think Alioski is better coming on when they start to tire, against the less physical sides definitely start him IMO, we have got to match them physically this time or they'll end up pinching it from us again

Agree2 Disagree0

16 Jan 2018 13:03:36
Lassoga ain't the answer mate. Maybe try pontus up front and see how they like that!

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jan 2018 16:07:23
think anita has to be given a chance in central role, it is his perfered role and he played well there for newcastle when they went up, would go same line up apart from Alioski instead of lossaga, seen wall a few times, they will be fine with big lad but struggle with movement and pace and think roofe and alisoko might be too much for them if on form. looking forward to seeing you on saturday mate and a good few drinks to either celebrate or drown sorrows

Agree2 Disagree0

16 Jan 2018 17:07:45
Yeah me to bermo, always love my leeds trips regardless of the football and result always a bonus when we win but what makes it for me is the social aspect the banter, atmosphere and merriment with my fellow leeds brothers that includes you mate 😎 heres to a cracking day out fella regards DJ 🍻

16 Jan 2018 17:22:23
Ha ha Aussie lad you may be right about Pontus! didn't he used to play upfront before promoting him to CB?

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jan 2018 07:54:19
Great debate, shame all the posters can't all club together, buy the club, have whiteman as Chairman, Mike woody as Head of recruitment and George as the money man. MM can do food and beverages, AUs can do the radio and TV commentaries alongside eddie. Promotion in one season guaranteed followed by champions league qualification. Can't be that difficult running a successful promotion chasing championship club can it. No foreign rubbish, including the food, ban gloves and leggings and only let the fans in who are prepared to take their tops off during the winter games. Oh well we can only dream!

Believable6 Unbelievable1

16 Jan 2018 09:05:19
Its not that hard. It shouldn't be. We got about 22 average teams in this league 3 good signings and we will walk it.

Agree3 Disagree3

16 Jan 2018 09:16:47
Spanishleeds, Great post mate and true, we would have the best be reassured on that, Mikewoody and Ausman1 would be fantastic to, shame because we would be for the club not for a group of investors who at the end of the day want to make money and as much as they can remember that my friend, that why he went and asked KD who would be the best investment it’s all money money money, we are the fans which means we care about the CLUB.

Agree1 Disagree1

16 Jan 2018 10:19:15
if all of the above is happening can I be player manager, I am a bit shakey in goal but at least I'm not foreign

Agree1 Disagree0

16 Jan 2018 07:41:28
The supporters who go regularly see things best and as they actually are . The main consensus on here is Rads is very popular, the recruitment of 20 plus players by Orta has been absolutely woeful and TC is doing a reasonable job with what he has. Think that just about sums it up. We are looking at a couple of players (maybe ) who will shore up the weaknesses and help our better players . We are not playing well and are at least 8 players short of having a squad we think is good enough to compete

Believable6 Unbelievable0

16 Jan 2018 08:17:43
And now we are talking of taking Derby cast off Chris martin as they bring in Jerome to replace him ?

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jan 2018 09:22:05
So why don't we compete for Jerome, only 1.5m.

Agree2 Disagree0

16 Jan 2018 10:21:03
i don't agree about TC, I have said before I do not think our squad is worse than bristol, cardiff, Sheff Utd yet they are all doing better as our manager is decent their managers are good, a better manager would get this sqaud in playoffs and i fear TC will make us miss out on play offs sadly which is an underachievement

16 Jan 2018 10:39:15
Chris Martin is better than Cameron Jerome
