I'm loving Ross Turnbulls attitude in wanting to become number one keeper. I like Marco and think he's a good keeper, but he does have areas of his game that can be improved, and it won't do any harm for him to have some competition

In Fairness his comments are really what you would expect him to say. I would hardly expect ' I think Marco is a great keeper and I'm only here to warm my backside on the bench and snap up the old lolly at the end of the week' now would you?

Top posts from both of you. I believe Turnbull could end up playing close to half of our games this season.

Thanks for everything you have done for the club Neil, but I think him leaving is the best thing for the team going forward. I just think it could have been disruptive having him in the background especially with the teams ex academy players. Onwards and upwards!

Agree. Not handled well to say the least. But going back to the Academy was never going to really work. Top bloke and done a great job for us over the years. Wish him all the best

But who is going to take over the senior team at the end of September??

I'm free at the end of September. I'm cheap and will fluke more wins than Redfern did.

Did a decent job with academy but so will the next guy, hopefully Blunt, because we have always brought young players through and that's mainly thanks to the spotters out there in the rain watching boys play for their school teams and putting them forward and the development team for having the foresight to sign them up. Redfearn did a good job developing them as did the rest of the team. Good look to him in his next job.

Redfearn officially gone. Not really news. It's more about fact the parties could not agree a compensation packet. Cellino was probably being cheap in eyes of Redfearn's lawyers who obviously fancy a court case. This is a further own goal by the club. Obviously we don't want such publicity but I fear it may affect the players psychologically. There was no value in Cellino calling him those names. At least he got his transfer dealings in order so he is improving. Shame he couldn't have set aside more funds for Pearson to sort this amicably.

I can't help but think that all the positives being drip fed to us were to smokescreen the negetives that are inevitable.

Granted the tranfers signings have been good and same goes for sorting out player contracts, but I think this has been bubbling for some time and I am a little worried that there may be other things out there waiting to come out.

Bye Redders. Don't let the door hit your tactically inept ar*e on the way out. Nice bloke, cr*p coach.

Just my opinion, but there you have it!

Dont think Redfearn wanted to go quietly. If what Bean is saying is true and Redfearn has txts that may get Cellino in bother, how did Bean get to see them, or know about them. Seems like both cut from the same cloth

Bige and d.s. neither of you are wrong. Very worrying times. I can well see Bean, Thompson and Redfearn forming an alliance. That could take Cellino down.

I still have texts from a year ago, does that mean I am cut from the same cloth. Redders hasn't mentioned any texts nor shown any signs of a threat (in public)

And you forget that MC was banned, couldn't he respect the deicison and not call / text any of the staff at the club?

As Bean left some time ago to know about texts seems at least strange .
Sad that the whole thing was handled so badly and do not think Redfern deserved to be treated in this fashion.
Any Leeds fan with a whole in the right place would be shocked if M C had not made contact by some source ,then again I do not believe he should have been banned in the first place ,especially taken into account what other owners have done (Blackpool ,wigan ).
The media has given M C a hard time before and during his ownership ,thinking back to Bates and current part owner muppets gfh, I do think his intentions are for the best in regard to the club being RUN correctly .
The F L have not banned or insisted gfh sell or step down as owners ,down to breaking fair play rules .

Ds I said if what bean said is true not it is true, only takes redfearn to deny it to prove beans lying. If it is true then reddeŕs put it out there for a reason

he did good work at the academy but split the squad up by making it obvious that he was preferring his boys to others. There were several players who were not given enough chance like sloth and Adrian. He had a too defensive approach to the game plan, whilst his great faith in Morrison meant it was a SURETY we don t score goals.
It is blatantly obvious that he put his interest prior to that of Leeds when knowing we couldn t get relegated nor promoted he didn t give a chance to other players to play…he wanted the bonus promised to him on achieving a top 10 finish. There was just the one method of play and never a plan B. To summarise I sincerely believed in him but thinking back I believe he even undermined the previous boss. To be fair the method of his dismissal was rough.
My question to you, his supporters is…. How did Bean get texts sent to Redfearn? Was Redfearn passing sensitive info to the press even whilst in charge?… Antenucci incident etc. Did Redfearn try to play on our sympathy to try and pressure Cellino into giving him the job permanently. Cellino said something on these lines during his infamous speech. Everybody knew this could not work with Uwe being now the new coach. If I was the coach I would not want the previous coach to still remain at the club, for obvious reasons.

Got to agree malta. in his post match interviews he just fed the media stories. The six,it was him who suggested they may not have been injured. Thompson, he knew nothing about it which is hard to believe when Thommo was his mate. Plays Ant out of position then slags off his performance. Has a go at Sylvestri because defence were not moving out quick enough, should that not be sorted in training. Moaned we had no width and left Monty on bench.I also do not think he gave Milanic his full support, was he not his no 2 so he was as much responsible for the team as Milanic, who had come from abroad to a team he knew nothing about. And I will believe he is Leeds through and through when I see him paying his money and taking his seat, as I have never seen him at a match prior to him joining us. He did a good job with academy and had a go at leading the team, mainly thanks to fans. He failed and if their relationship went sour its as much his fault as Cellino. He was always going to take legal action and did not really want the job back. If he did why did he wait two month before accepting it, because he was waiting for better offers, that did not come, and taking advice on his best move financially. Not slagging him off its what any one would do. But when I hear his rhetoric I take it for what it is, a man saying the right things to get as much money as possible. He can't exactly say I can't stand Cellino he's not my mate any more and I will be glad to get out of here. Some people need to get real, he did a good job for us, got paid well, then made some bad decisions and now he is going, resigned not sacked. Good luck to him, he will get another job and he will probably love that team as well. let's all move on, won't be the first compensation claim the courts have seen

So Rosler has commented that the clubs transfer dealings are 95% complete. I really really hope that that includes Byrams contract and the 1 or 2 wingers we need (i suspect Byram is being moved up the picth, so maybe just a left winger will be signed)

Another point, does anyone else find is a little suspicious that positive transfer and contract news is coming through too regularly. Not a critisim as such, but it seems like we are getting news every week and I am just thinking it may be PR thing to keep all supporters happy (which is a noce change).

I understand in relation to transfers, but I would have thought all contract renewals get tied up very quickly at the begining of the window to deter other clubs.

So on the pattern above and the fact we have just signed Turnbull expecting Byrams contract remewal early next week and a winger sign a week later.

So the goal we conceded at York according to Uwe was unnecessary and irritated him. Two words that I have always associated with Scot Wootton.
