Use our rumours form to send us leeds transfer rumours.

I don't really understand why some people seem to want someone other than Redfern to be in charge at the start of next season. I've worked out that under him we have got 1.56 points a match, (sad I know). Which if you multiply by 46 would give us just short of 72 points at the end of the season. I know that wouldn't be enough for the play offs this season but in a few previous years it would have been.
Considering Cellino said it would take at least two seasons to get us into Premier league (before) he realised what a mess the club was in financially then I think a points total of 72 would be acceptable under those circumstances.
All hypothetical I know but hey ho!

Do you like the football we are playing?
Is it good enough?

I think the formation is good but what let's us down is the final third. Need attacking midfielder or good link up player Adryan or Monty could fill this role. Phillips also but think he is one for future keep him with the first team use him as sub till he progress more. Think one player we need to keep, although he is not ideal in this division, is Dawson. I think in the premiership he would be a stand out player, so much talent and commitment. Our squad is very good but we will have to see who stays and who goes in the summer.

i hate all this do you like the football rubbish. I like points and redders is as good a chance as we have of getting them. Holloway had wall playing best football they have in years, they are still going down. didn't we play nice stuff under darko and hock. no points thought and we would of gone down had redders not come in, we gone from religation to mid table and people mention the football. get out your old copies of race for promotion season review 89-90 we went up and our football was ugly, niggly one dimenion long ball saved by chapmans head. two years later the same ugly football made us the best team inthe country. ugly points over pretty religation, I don't see any arguement against this

You have got to be kidding. Football with champ man was exciting not ugly. I must be watching diff videos to you.
I disagree. You can win games playing good football with average players. Have to play ugly every now and then but not all the time
I fail to see how fans can't see how clueless reddders is
It's same as Morrison. Nothing against them personally. Decent chaps and all that but

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I went and saw Leeds a few times in the year you won the title, I hate to say it, but Bermondsey is right, the football was brutally ugly. They were by far and away the worst team to watch at Anfield but won the title because of the great players in the side, not because of the exciting football.}

My last words on Morrison because I reckon he will be playing for Millwall next season. A big guy like him in academy games you would expect to score regularly against kids, he did not. I think he got in team because we changed system and he was the only big guy we had. If you said to any big forward don't worry about scoring just go out and hassle their defence and get back for corners and set pieces they would do the same job he is doing. He offers little to the team and in my opinion playing him cost us points against Brentford and Forest. Sharp played up front and scored twice. We are pinching games because we have 5 in midfield and Mowatt has played it well. Our defence is more solid and together. What is letting us down is lack of goals if we had Ant or Sharp in the front I believe we would be winning games two and three nil. mot

Precisely. Spot on mate
Well maybe not the sharp bit. If we got another top striker next season to play with ant. Have sharp coming off bench. Ditch the rest.

Morison is a joke on £20,000 a week.
When does his contract finish
Soon I hope.
The bloke is bleeding us dry

It is good to see that our defense this year looks like the best we have had in a long time! I think Bamba & Bellusci make a perfect partnership, even if they do make you wince on more than one occasion! The facts don't lie though with them conceding just the one goal in 6 games they have partnered (5 clean sheets out of 6!)

People will point out that Bamba has made the difference, and I agree. But I also don't think he would have made a difference in the team if it wasnt for Bellusci. With Bamba partnering cooper on 4 occasions and not kept one clean sheet. Where as Bellusci has been involved in 10 out of our 11 clean sheets! (i know I have gotten board at work and actually worked all of this out!)

It's also proof that our defence is sorted with people moaning at Morrison, Sharpe etc (rightly so, but I also agree with both parts on this argument!) instead of what has been in previous seasons a leaky defence!

What do you think is the reason our defence has shored up this season?

The Bamba/Bellusci partnership has been a significant factor however so has the decision to play 5 in midfield. With 5 teams have been unable to run through the middle and put our defence under constant pressure. The move away from hoofball has led to greater ball retention which stops the ball coming straight back to our defence, which again creates pressure. Finally I think players putting greater pressure on the ball from front to back has given us the opportunity to win the ball further up field. The downside with these changes is that we have been less creative in the final third which may only be addressed with specialist players i.e. attacking midfielder and wingers

Good one mate
If we had strikers that would relieve pressure and maybe only need 4 in midfield then.

We should all live long enough to see a Morison goal.
Bet Redfearn will let him take the next penalty which of course he will miss.

If Morison and Billy Barn Door got into a fight they would both swing and miss for ages. Could be fun to watch.

No Ausman . Its my opinion. As a fan you should be patient. He will score soon. If it was a joke I wouldve said its a joke. So let's be patient & when he scores a few ill be back on here posting. Nuff said

Leeds Diamond, I don't hate or like Morison so hope I can provide a balanced view.

He does lead the line OK (not great but OK), he defends well from corners/set pieces which helps our defense for sure, does seem to try most of the time, control is Ok as well.

However he doesn't set much up in terms of potential goals, i.e assists and of course he doesn't score either. You say be patient which is a fair comment but he has played a lot of games now so how patient do we need to be?

I think now we should try others, right time of the season, playing one up front is fine in a 4-2-3-1 or 4-5-1 type system which does seem to work for us (4-4-2 or diamond hasn't this season) but on balance I would say we must get a better player than him in the summer (we surely can achieve that!) so bearing that in mind I might play him against fulham as they have a few big guys but I would look for other options to see how they work in the remaining games.

SM has never scored that many goals anyway in any season now for a long time so on balance he prob won't as best days behind him.

George, you've got to be referring to Billy Paynter, not Sharp?
