Lets take a chance on John Sheridan. Leeds legend that he is! Decent record as manager and would put his heart and soul into LUFC.

Nothing against the bloke but just not convinced
Pearson for me.

Wishful thinking Aus. Pearson's stock is high and I expect he will be holding out for a prem team. Would like him at Leeds though.

I really don't see him as a legend. He was a half decent player but didn't play long enough. His best play was not for Leeds. As a manager I hope we can do better.

Stickey

You crazy. I would put Sheridan in the top 25 players to play for Leeds. Don't get me wrong he'd be like around 24th spot but he'd be in that list.

He enjoyed better times at the Wednesday but that's irrelevant.

Shez was a legend on and off the pitch. Heard stories of him being leathered in Leeds Centre with his trollies around his ankles giving it the Leeds Salute. As for his on field ability, I reckon he had the skill and vision of dare I say (C**tona) .

I was lucky to be at the game where he flicked up the ball from a free kick and volleyed it into the top corner (Youtube it) - pure class and yes, definitely a LEGEND!

That was against Derby County.

Half decent player? He was a proper ole school playmaker and how I wish we had him now! George and Mick bang on. Only Giles, Bremner and probably McAllister would be above him as a CM. As for him being better when he left of course he was as he was hitting his peak years as a player then. God, I thought it was amazing to watch him play. Great times the 80s even though we were not too good but the hope was always there. Unlike now I hate to say.

Question. Silly question really.
But who is the better manager.
Evans or Warnock?
Stats would say Warnock i'd say.
Like I say a bit of a stupid question but just wondering would anyone take NW back?
By the way I wouldn't even though his record is pretty good.

Oh my god.
The man is an animal. Absolute disgrace to football. He is the worst man and manager we have ever had. I know he had success but jeez he didn't deserve any of it. How anybody could employ him with that insane mouth full I don't know. Man I tell you. Just don't like the bloke.

This we agree on Ausman.

The football we played under him was the worst I've ever seen . Absolutely garbage. Never again . Like the Scottish play, his name should never be mentioned.

I think all the managers we have had recently have had their hands tied to never really got to build a team of their own.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 May 2016 14:56:07
NW had hands tied, no squad no money no chance, with what he had he did great job we should of gone down. don't like the man but can't say he is not good at this level even if he is passed it now and contacts have gone on.

worse manager ever AUS? HOCK HOCK HOCK HOCK HOCK HOCK HOCK HOCK.

The way I see this ticket deal is; You buy next season's ticket now? If we didn't make play offs, then the following year's season ticket will be discounted? Well if I was a betting man, I'd say that if we didn't reach play offs, he will increase prices that season and just offer original price to those who took offer you? No pain and no gain!

Believable1 Unbelievable1

17 May 2016 13:45:57
Just a thought, I don't mean to be negative but Crllino offers a great deal on ticket refunds, then decides he wants rid of the club, wishes he never bought it . So why the offer? Say the season ticket target is reached £7/ 8 million plus, then sell Cook and Taylor another £20 million . Spends nothing or next to on players next season, we fight relegation, he pockets the £28 million sends us into administration, we the fans would be the ones who if we claim our 50% refund would be left to close the club down our forfeit the refund . Just a thought!

Agree0 Disagree1

17 May 2016 13:52:21
By pocket I mean reclaim the loans him and GFH have borrowed the club . Because, why would someone who wants rid of a club want to invest heavily into it . I know some will say to get promotion and the guaranteed mo eye at the end of it . But unless he's like the Man City or Chelsea owner, there is no guarantee . Cellino don't come across as the kind of man who is willing to invest heavily all of a sudden . As all the names I have heard mentioned, admittedly by the press, don't come across to me as managers who are going to step into Leeds and put it right overnight!

Sick or the hype/ carp

Seems Evans has now gone and we have either Flores or Robinson as a new manager, along with many others, according to media reports.

My wife is (sadly) an MK Dons fan and giving me hell for poaching their manager?

I have had to point out that A. We still have a manager ourselves and B. So do MK Dons.

Why the heck we would want to get rid of Steve Evans and employ Robinson is totally beyond me, but obviously there are bookmakers out there that are eager to take money off anyone.

I wouldn't mind Flores myself but knowing Masimo we are more likely to get Florence (from the magic roundabout. )

Wow not being on for a very long time, still read but a little bit too diplomatic for me these days, although good to see some posters still amusing me that have being around for a while. Just seen anichebe going to leave baggies, hypothetically would you take him? I know his record isn't great in PL but at this level could be a menace and can not be looking at much better than relegation fodder PL/ promotion hopefuls Championship.

the season ticket deal is now clearer . it's not money back as in cash but 25% off of the following years ticket so if you didn't by one you not get anything.

Believable0 Unbelievable2

16 May 2016 17:36:26
I didn't think it was a cash back offer it was always likely to be as a reduction on something else.

16 May 2016 18:19:01
Not surprised, posted a few weeks ago that an "offer" such as this would make money for the club rather than costing Cellino. Not a problem with the club generating revenue, if it is used wisely however I wonder if the price of the following years season ticket increases by say 25%?

Agree0 Disagree0

16 May 2016 18:21:25
My understanding is the club will ask for your bank account details nearer the time if we fail, unless Cellino as moved the goal posts again but i'm sure money back in your bank account was the original deal.

Agree1 Disagree0

16 May 2016 20:28:55
So, you have to buy a season ticket first?

If we don't reach playoff places you then have to buy another season ticket for the following year to get some sort of rebate?

I think I'll pass and just get up to Elland Road when I am able to and expect more of the same again, and again, and again.

I can't get up to watch Leeds too often anyway, but I am beginning to think desperation is setting in.

Agree1 Disagree0

16 May 2016 21:01:07
I agree with Geldered. The deal was 'cash back'. I saw nothing that said it would be a discount off the following season although a lot of people seem to think it will be this. If the club stated it was money back (as I've read it) , that's exactly what they should be doing otherwise they are false advertising. I wouldn't go as far as to say it's gaining money by deception, but it is highly illegal however you look at it.

Out of all coaches being banded around I would like either Steve Evans given a chance pre season or Karl Robinson because there ain't much more out there at present who would want the job?

Believable1 Unbelievable2

16 May 2016 11:01:03
Evans or the guy from Watford for me . Don't rate K Robinson

We need someone who can motivate players, this is an Evans strength.

Agree4 Disagree1

16 May 2016 12:27:46
I am also with Evans unless we go and get someone proven in getting out of Championship. Not worth taking a chance when he seems to have the squad playing for him despite the off pitch goings on.

In many ways, the stability from letting him get on with it and things settling off pitch would do us a power of good, as it would lift confidence and everyone can concentrate on what happens on the green stuff. Could be the biggest factor in a promotion charge.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 May 2016 16:23:48
Neil Warnock has a record of getting promotion from the championship! Maybe worth a go?!

Agree0 Disagree2

16 May 2016 16:31:06
Yes agree with Ox and PA, SE give the guy a go with a full pre-season to work his magic (? ) and another 5-9 of his signings (allowing for the fact we will get rid of at least G Bell, Woot pants, Ant and the two loan guys (but hopefully keep Bridcut) .

So he is likely to lose 5 of his first team players who all made the team at some stage, so let's say if he can get his type of players in and hopefully better standard with a bit more cash included from the mighty mouth MC and give the guy a go, or that guy from Watford agree as he looks good, no to MK Manager they went down and he worst than what we have so why would you bother really.

If he is going to change make it for someone significantly better and do it by end of week ideally so the club can crack on.
I still think it is 50/ 50 call if he will keep SE.

Agree1 Disagree0

16 May 2016 17:22:14
I reckon Steve is 50/ 50 as well dg that's why I have 10 at 8/ 1 and 10 at 10/ 1 those odds are too good to be true.
