I posted on here 6 months ago that Leeds will not got promoted. Ken Bates will not allow it to happen because if Leeds do get promoted it will cost him about £30 Million because he will have to pay back more money in the pound to the creditors. This clause ends at the end of 2012/2013 season, so Leeds will not get promoted before that season ends, after then Bates will risk money on signings to get Leeds promoted then sell for £60 million plus.

I honestly can't believe this post,it's just not possible to keep the fans happy and have a management and team capable of not getting us promoted, this is Leeds United were talking about and the fans demand that we get a team of promotion capability,things won't carry on like this for much longer and if we have a poor festive period of which we traditionally do something has to give.

What a load of dribble, if this is that case then why is Ken not happy with us been where we are in the league and not higher,

As they say here in norn iron "catch yourself on" what a stupid post go and support Man Utd you berk! manager not good enough players dont seem to be motivated ,but you are accusing them and bates of cheating ?we are just not good enough with the squad we have we should be FACT!

The 10p in the pound to 60p in the pound ended last year. if we go up this year there is nothing more to pay.

The squad is over run with average/below average players that must be trimmed. Two big questions are who brought these players in and who is responsible for retaining them this long? This is another there abouts squad mid table to play offs. If Leeds manage to scrape the playoffs in a very average leaggue they wont have anywhere enough quality to see us over the line!! I can't see any improvement unless there is a change in management/Chairman because I blame both!

Don't forget grayson is more than happy with his squad! As he quoted in summer, but I feel it is full of poor/average players who he signed!

Skint we might be but if we have a good cup run and sell snoddy we can at least but leather seating in the toilets in the new east stand boxes.

Very constructive comment,if it wasnt for Bates you wouldnt have a club to moan about,one bad result and all the whingers are out in force again,still in top six and all to play for,couple off good signings and were away again,have some faith.

Never mind Bates SG never learns he is not capable of getting us promoted fact!

Is that the SG that's already had 2 promotions in his first 6 years in management? Seems like he knows how to get a team promoted to me. The problem isn't SG, it's the sub-standard squad and lack of investment. Minus 5 million on transfers this year - where's the Delph, Schmeichel, Gradel money? That's where you should be asking questions.

What really does my nut in about this current leeds team is we start well for a few minutes and then we seem to just invite other teams onto us at home we should be straight out of the traps not giving the opposition a sniff of our goal we need to get back to basics and try make elland road that fortress that it use to be worrying times ahead hope im proved wrong really do

Everything is wrong at Elland Road, High ticket prices (poor crowds). Poor tactics , poor performances , away fans dumped in the West stand enhances a poor atmosphere,the team are struggling to lift the crowd, and the crowd are struggling to lift the team ,unfortunately the loyal fans are the losers because until Grayson are Bates are out were stuck with it.

Hate to say it but Bates if you want promotion like we all do, DO something, either sack Grayson or give us some decent players. Today was the worst ever. The kids would give more effort for the team than this shower.

Completely agree we were awful today, improvement needed in a fe positions

How will sacking Grayson help? The problem is we're playing with the pretty much same squad we had a division down only without the likes of Gradel and Delph. We won't get promoted under ANY manager without better players.

quite frankly leeds are not ready for promotion to PL maybe in a couple of years

Why not give varynen a fair chance-obviously has loads of class.time for some of our stars to go.eg.luciano-no threat at all these days.

First game ive been to in a while today due to working away and i just want to say it kills me seeing all the empty seats at elland road bates is slowly but surely killing are club i no its near christmas and money is tight but thats no excuse for a poor attendance like that this is where bates needs to help the fans out a we bit by reducing ticket prices and then the ground would be full every game no doubt about it we have the best fans in the world no other clubs would of followed there team like we have through thick and thin mot {Ed025's Note - lowering the price of the tickets is a great idea, but the credit crunch is a valid reason aswell..

A few points:

1. This week i posted and said Paddy should have been dropped. He wasn't, he should have been.
2. No win at home since October, nowhere near good enough, losing at home to a direct rival for playoffs.
3. Another shaky start. We always start the game and go 1-0 down, giving ourselves a mountain to climb.
4. Why on earth did we go 4-4-2? Crazy. Given our form and lack of confidence at home we should have kept it tight, and sought to build momentum throughout the game, not concede and grab a goal later on. We were too open.
5. Where was the desire to get back in the game and create something.

The reality is there is no way with the team we have at present we will go up. Without 3/4 quality additions who can come into the team and make a difference there is zero chance. We may get play-offs, but we wouldn't get promoted.

I thought we won our last home game? Today was nowhere near good enough though.

Yes, i stand corrected. I forgot we beat Millwall.

There's only one person to blame for this mess that where in and that bates for giving simon f*** all to spend in the summer and expecting him to get the best out of a team full of free agents as far as im concerned we've only got one player that is capable of turning a game on its head and thats snoddy but one player doesnt make a team

Well you clearly know nothing. How many time have both grayson and bates both said money is available, grayson just never spends it and uses the same old excuse, "the squad is strong enough". Therefore not bates' failt so be quiet and go home.

Bates hasn't brought in the crop of poor signings and loan players Grayson has. He could have chosen to go with a slightly smaller squad and better quality. Leeds have spent money mainly on wages for players brought in who were no better and probably worse than we already had. Bates will spend money but not silly money. Grayson has to do better tactically, motivate the players and only players that will improve the first eleven not the squad. If they are not there dont panic buy. We dont need any more Bruces, Bessones etc that waste money and dont deliver.

Time to go Larry. His signings have been poor and he still doesnt know his best 11. We just seem to go round in circles. Win one lose one draw one. Not good enough.

totally agree with the last two posts if bates does have any money available he wont give it to grayson, 5 points from the last 15 at home is appalling grayson will be gone by the new year

I'm starting to believe bates a little here, i just think he's waiting for the rite time to give S.G the big heave ho ho ho and invest this 'alleged' £2million with a different manager - expect Zola in come January

Grayson - 2 promotions, play-offs, 7th - Zola's record in management? You might be right - but appointing a manager on the basis of their reputation as a player very rarely has a happy ending.

If I was Bates perish the thought but if I was I'd sack SG now. Never a better time. Get Zola in or John Sheridan.

Why does grayson never give the likes of nunez playing behind a striker like becchio/forssell and varyrynen in the middle of the park from the start and not just for a few minutes here and there we need a serious shake up something needs changing maybe the coaching staff as anyboby could do a better job than snodin and miller any thoughts

Yes I keep thinking about putting Nunez in there. Can't understand, they give the lad a 4 yr contract then stick him in the reserves.
We not scoring at the moment so surely give him a chance, he's the kind of player who thrives on confidence I think

Is it just me who thinks that adam clayton hasnt been playing well for weeks now he's not the only player also think ross has lost his confidence like he did last season one thing i would say is he dont have any competiton for his place so he keeps getting relaxed all the time theres no one pushing him to perform
