I was really worried Marcelo would walk. But after last evenings press briefing all my doubts have gone.

Think he doesn't give a **** for anybody in authority.

He knows what he has started here at Leeds and what can be achieved.

He has a phenomenal back room staff that goes right through the club that totally back each other.

Everybody has bought into his vision.

Think he also might know that this could be his last big chance to achieve real lasting success.

MOT.

Return lufc to pl is legendary status - World Cup Pah. Bielsa knows where his legacy lies. Oh hang on, we’re not famous anymore.

Fat Frank is looking a bit desperate now, we sign a player from Real Madrid, he's looking at signing Ashley Cole, who's only 38. Ah well, jobs for his old mate :) and another exChelsea Saint 🙄.

You just have to love Bub. He's truly the gift that keeps on giving. Q-What was FF's major complaint about Leeds' spying? A- That we could see if certain players were training. That we would be able to ascertain what team they would field for the upcoming match. This would give us an unfair advantage.
What is Bub's response. This week he names the team 2 days early. Ba-Bam! . Take that FF (and the EFL)

So true, and bleedin hilarious as well. He doesn’t just know how to play the game, but also how to “play the game! ”.

Can someone reassure me and tell me no points will be deducted from us this season?! It’s stressing me out, 😂.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

17 Jan 2019 19:51:28
Knowing the Football League, they'll want to provoke Leeds fans by announcing a 10 point deduction as we secure mathematically automatic promotion in April with 4 games to go. Then we'll fight in the courts of sport arbitration and everyone around us in playoffs will counter sue then a riot among Leeds fans will ensue toward end of season due to the penalty and we'll incur another penalty. It could end up being known as a future trivia question. When does a pair of ordinary binoculars cost £200m?

Agree2 Disagree0

17 Jan 2019 19:58:12
no points will be deducted this season.

Agree2 Disagree0

17 Jan 2019 19:59:10
I'm a fellow Sussex white aswell, and I can assure you they cannot, legally, deduct us points, as no rules have been broken. Bielsa will get a "slap on the wrist" by radz or EFL.

Spot on delboy! A nominal fine at worse.

Agree1 Disagree0

17 Jan 2019 22:01:52
I agree Delboy. If they do anything so stupid, the whole of sport (with intelligence) would be outraged, and they would finally be shown as the corrupt, twisted organisation we already know them to be. A fine for MB, with a warning, is the only route they can take. If they choose to introduce new rules, then fine, but they can’t punish us that heavily, with a clear rule being broken. We’d make them look like monkeys in court!

Agree1 Disagree0

17 Jan 2019 21:44:18
I’m a fellow Sussex too, no points deduction nominal fine for breach of Championship Charter or something. As one of the Ed’s said at the outset, diving, FFP, no action. Tickle a charter and it’s Leeds. Shaun needs a new bungalow tour!

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Jan 2019 01:54:13
It'll be a points deduction at the end of the season, just enough to leave us 7th :) as if.

17 Jan 2019 19:23:10
A lot of our detractors are fully fledged member's of the "Boring, Useless, Pundits Club" and another of their clan Martin Keown has just been saying how bad and shameful we are. The same Martin Keown who played under "Honest George Graham" and was in an Arsenal side that would go to any lengths to get a result.

17 Jan 2019 20:40:08
Yes feath, find it hilarious now such big strong so called hard ex players can be so offended, who knew they were so virtuous and moral people!

Agree1 Disagree0

17 Jan 2019 21:45:02
I find it amusing that all these so called pundits who saying we should be deducted points are also mainly ex players who we hated and they have always hated us. Seems MB has found a great way to poke a stick at them on our behalf. Keown the clown always was a dirty player. I remember watching us play them at elland road when he was in his prime and off the ball he kept kicking and treading on smithy and vids. He got away with so much in those days. stuff him and the rest of em. Haha.

Agree1 Disagree0

17 Jan 2019 22:04:37
Dunno if it was on here, or somewhere else, but I read an observation that no PL managers have criticised MB, nor have most Championship Mgrs, only ex players and failed managers who rely on punditry for their income. Plus FF. Strange!? I think not.

A player who has crossed my mind we might look at for a season is Arjen Robben. Less than 6 months left on his contract with Bayern. Won't command a huge wage at his age and could probably teach Clarke a thing or two.

Good news on the injuries front with Berardi and Douglas soon in line for recalls. The only walking wounded I am not too sure about is Dallas. It will be a mighty uphill struggle to justify him a first team place. Good luck to the lad though he is a competent allrounder and they are sometimes invaluable but we have every position filled. All young bucks called on acquitting themselves admirably and still looking around the market for new blood. That's not to mention finding a formation fitting Pablo AND Brown soon?

Fantastic signing in Casillas, be interesting to see what happens. Fortunately, Bub probably has a 1000 hours of Casillas performances so will undoubtedly make the right decision.

IF, it is to drop BPF, I would personally like to thank young Bradley, to come in and perform in a Leeds Team home and away to get us to top of the league and make your international team, I believe to a simply phenomenal achievement. Not just one for the future one we should be extremely grateful to have now. I appreciate Bub won’t apply my level of sentiment but as a Leeds supporter love often blinds us. MOT.

Not getting carried away just yet with our new signing. The third choice (so no chance of getting a game) at Real. Welcome on board anyway. Just hope he's a catcher not a puncher and commands his box esp at corners/ free kicks. As I say, don't know the man so will wait and see but if MB likes him that's good enough. Well done and thanks to BPF. Don't get disheartened. Your time will come.

Agree1 Disagree0

17 Jan 2019 16:45:54
Think its a good signing, lots of experience in a winning team in top competitions and good enough to step right in and do a job. BPF will learn a lot from him and i believe he is 32 so Bailey still one for the future, unless Huffer comes through. Think BPF has done well and sure he will be back between the sticks in the future.

A few days ago Lampard claimed he spent "a few hours" watching Leeds games. Well done Frank! Bielsa's dossiers take 4 hours to write up before his team spend countless hours dissecting the information in preparation for a game. That is the difference between a coach who has worked to where he is now in the game and someone who is still dining out on his playing career. Listen and learn Frank, your getting a education that might stand you in good stead.

Agree2 Disagree0

17 Jan 2019 10:28:32
Mean't to say that Bielsa's team spend 4 hours per game, so for Derby they spent circa 300 hours preparing against Lampard's 15 hours. The difference told on the pitch.

Ok. If you were a young up and comer looking for a base to launch from, what would you be looking for in a club. How about
a) A club likely to be playing EPL in the coming season
b) A club with a sound financial base
c) A prestigious club with a proud and respected history
d) A club currently playing exciting and expansive football.
e) A club you have a chance of getting game time with.
f) A club with a proven track record of taking young talent, polishing it and displying it to the world for all to see
g) A club that has one of the best, loudest and most supportive fan bases
h) A club that can offer exposure to one of THE world's leading managers

or someone else.

Did fair play not go out the window when:

a. ) Wolves bought the league.
b. ) Wolves paid an agent to buy the league.
c. ) Bournemouth bought the league.
d. ) Aston Villa and Derby currently try to buy the league.

Or is breaking FFP not a big deal compared to eccentric match preparation?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

17 Jan 2019 10:22:39
Don't be silly, FFP is an actual, real, bona-fide rule which Leads haven't broken, so obviously the rule that doesn't exist becomes the ONLY deal :)

Agree1 Disagree0

17 Jan 2019 11:34:40
Easy solution for EFL, EPL and FA is to now bring out a law that outlaws any employees from any other FL or EPL team from having contact or visiting another club within 24-48 hours of a match between those 2 teams unless invited. Make it a rule/ law of the game then and only then would there be a case to answer. Leeds Utd the coach or representative of the club have broken no criminal or football law as it stands. Yes it may be deemed morally wrong but not against the rules, now the EFL or FA can find a so called breach of a code of practice e. g. Unsportsmanlike conduct to fit the so called Spy gate incident, but in theory they should in fact be thanking Bielsa for highlighting a loophole. As I've said before it's been blown up and sensationalized in the media, lots of false or misleading comments made and I guess the powers to be at the EFL are being railroaded into some kind of sanction against us, I can't see points but wouldn't back against a fine.

Agree2 Disagree0

17 Jan 2019 16:45:02
A fair assessment of the episode. I hope that they hurry up with the punishment if any, so we can get back to focusing fully on trying to win the League.

So Derbyshire police have now confirmed (source from Talksport) that the man found outside Derby county training ground was not carrying any pliers, bolt cutters, binoculars, or change of clothing. It was reported that someone was acting suspicious in the area and that is why they attended. A person was spoken to on the public footpath outside the training ground. He was spoken to and allowed on his way, Not asked to or good to leave.
The police also confirmed that they did not enter Derbys training ground and the training was not held up.

Now Frank Lampard said during his post match press conference that the guy had pliers, binoculars etc and the police had also stopped the training session. Frank did also contradict himself by saying he had only heard about the Spy afterwards from his staff.
So with these Facts is Frank Lampard going to now be investigated by the EFL for his untruths and surely this also breaches any spirit of fair play law also.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jan 2019 09:47:17
According to Franky boy the man was found in his hands and knees hiding in a busy by the fence of derby training pitch with pliers in his hand. From Frank's account the guy was or intended to cut the fence? Total fabrication of the facts. The guy would have been charged under the law with going equipt to seal, or cause criminal damage. NO LAW was broken by this person as he had no tools or equipment to commit any unlawful act and he was on public property. The police just checked his identity and allowed him to continue on his way, didn't move him on even. Tabloid BS and sensationalism by some in the media. I would imagine the EFL will proceed with a trumped up charge of something against the spirit of the game that may include a nominal fine and smack on the wrist. Points deduction would be hard to apply in my opinion and open to a legal challenge by Leeds utd.
