Where are the bowyer rumours coming from?? Surely still has something to offer in prem league after this season. Having watched Swansea last night, I now see exactly what we miss in central midfield. .speed and quick thinking. Come on Leeds (board) show some pride and build a squad that will fight to be the best again! We need to be bold and more aggressive in transfer market. Show our intent to succeed in 2011/ 12 season. Painter started 9 games n came on in a further 14. 1 goal. Quality? Hardly gonna scare opposition defences.
Paynter will be top scorer next season u watch
Paynter is slow in anticipation and sloth-like in movement. How many gilt-edged changes can he waste? No good as a lone striker. No good with a support striker. Have to admit I was happy when we signed him but we can all be wrong. Playing with Paynter means playing with ten men and relying on the rest of the team to score. See Burnley. See QPR. See Reading. Paynter was dire at Hull did reasonably well at Swindon until the play offs when he was dire again. Has been dire for us. What Grayson sees in him is beyond belief. Mind you he thinks Bradley is good and that Bannon, Livermore and Bessone would improve matters. Enough said! !

Leeds will not be spending more than 1 million in the summer, expect either Neil Danns or Keith Southern to join on a free, to partner either kilkenny or johnson (depending on who agrees a new deal) neither Gradel or Snodgrass want to leave but both could depending on the amount we get offered (straight into bates pocket), leeds will spend the million pound to sign both a full back and centre back, Bradley Orr from QPR was first choice but will cost too much so expect Luke Chambers of Forest and Sean St Ledger, If Bessone leaves expect a full back on loan aswell as a striker if grella and paynter go, James Perch of Newcastle and Benik Afobe of Arsenal are targets, This is all true, i think leeds need experience and should spend money on Jon Woodgate, injury prone but with his class could play half pace in that league, i would go for bradley orr and in the centre of midfield a hitter like patrick vieira but never gonna happen, also nugent would be good but wages mean its unlikely

Why do people just make up absolute rubbish ? Why would vieira be with ken bates when city still have 2 games left , one of them tonight ! Chances are no one will be signing till the season has fully finished including the play offs etc. Get a life and stop making up crap !

To the guy who said Johnson will be missed.- Johnson is very average and should be replaced but the only one at the club at the moment that can do his job with the possible exception of Clayton. He will only be missed if we don't get a better replacement. As far as Nunez is concerned I liked the look of him on the few occasions I have seen him but it is too soon to tell. He is a completely different type of player to Johnson and cannot therefore seen as a replacement. Nunez is nearer the Bannon/ Howson mould.

i got to every leeds game and johnson is a brilliant player and will be missed, clayton is a load of sh*t.
I too have been to every game this season and if you think Johnson is brilliant you must have been watching a different player. Bradley is slow, both in pace and thought, can't tackle and I can still pass better than him and I stopped playing when he was still in short pants.
P.S. I'm not sure about Clayton either. Grayson likes him and he is a strong midfielder. Hr doesn't sulk like Johnson either. If you at Pride park(that's Derby) when Johnson came on as sub. you will know what I mean! !
Johnson didn't do too bad in the later end of the season. When it all came out about his contract demands he got his head down and did the basics well. I would say he would be a good squad player for us. I don't think he would cut it in the Premiership.

It seems as if from what I've seen and heard, Leeds are only really being linked with 'one season wonder kids' from the Lower Leagues and Scottish Division.
This is all good in itself and I think 2 or 3 will do, however I do think we need that vital experience in promotion pushes as I think we really lacked that in the last quarter when we needed to make a final push!
Plus we need that kind of player that bites in midfield and protects the back four.
People suggesting Vieria is total nonsense as his agent would want a minimum of £200k a week. . do you really see Bates paying that if he won't even offer someone like Henri Lansbury £15k a week (who was a cog in getting Norwich up the league)!
On the other hand - getting Kisnorbo back to full fitness will be like having a new player anyway! Lloyd Sam did really well at the start and we need that attacking threat
Can't see anybody coming in yet but it would be good to be quite quick so we can have everyone in for pre-season

Will people please stop post rubbish. Schmeicel will not be going to Donny, We will not pay £5m for any player let alone Wes Hoolahan, Patrick Viera will be announced as a new signing today. Since when were people signed at the end of the season. all signings will be announced after 1st july. seeing as city still have 1 game to go.
It was funny at first now its just damn right annoying. can people also stop posting next years starting lineup. you all know jack. .
I meant to say viera will NOT be coming to Leeds.
