Use our rumours form to send us leeds transfer rumours.

I've been indifferent to the whole Bates V 'Morons' row. I smiled at the poor display of supposed protest the other week at Billy's statue and I've chuckled at the occasional protest song in the ground waiting to be taken up by the masses but failing dismally.
However, today I was finally nudged closer to adding my own voice to the anti-Bates campaign when I found out that next Tuesday all season ticket holders and club members have been barred from using their own facilities i.e. the Centenary Pavilion. The reason? It has been reserved for corporate customers! in other words, the core support of our club has been trampled over in favour of occasional visitors!
'Bates Out'? I don't know, but I'd certainly like a chat face to face!

Believable9 Unbelievable1

You have the ability to boycott the Pavillion in future, why not do so? This is entirely different to boycotting the games.....

Agree0 Disagree1

Do you not understand? it's not about 'boycotting' the pavillion, it's about using the resource that has supposedly been provided for the real fans, those of us who attend all of the home games and a fair proportion of away matches too! As it is we've lost over half of the premises space to the corporate 'fans' as Bates' £6m East Stand boxes aren't ready yet! Lots of families use this facility every home game and without any warning after we've all bought our tickets for the Man U game we're suddenly told that we have been kicked out! where is the loyalty to the real fans?

Agree1 Disagree0

Bates doesn't give one for any Leeds fan end of !!

For all those depressed Leeds fans after another frustrating performance here is a football question to ask your less brainy mates.

Q. World football- which football team won their national championship and then remained undefeated in that competition for 12 years and 3 months -a world record!

A. Well of course its Super Leeds, who else!

Football League Champions 1991 (Last game 02 May Norwich). Then Leeds resigned from Football League
Defeat 2004 10Aug at Gillingham after relegation to the football League.

22,000 at elland road on a Saturday!! Shocking! Be interested to see the reasons for those of you that didn't attend today

( just genuinely interested, not having a go!)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I went today, must say the crowd where very quiet for long periods,we need the fans to forget the Bates fued and get behind the team.

Agree2 Disagree0

Clearly the prices. North Stand and members of the West Stand Vocally told Bates of their anger on how he is running the club.

Agree2 Disagree0

Prices and work for me, still spitting about scumchester prices but I go to support lufc pity it helps line kens pockets never liked the man but not sure who we could replace him with :-/

Agree1 Disagree0

It's a sad state of affairs to see elland road so empty especially on a Saturday. Last year we were turning out 25/27,000 a game at home and the same in league one. When we played spurs at home tickets were like rocking horse s**t! Now there plugging scum tickets over the tannoy like it's a Sunday league game......

Agree1 Disagree0

We used to get 16,000 and stuff in the relegation season to League 1 remember.

Agree1 Disagree0

Total cost of ticket plus 140 mile each way journey means I can't get to as many games as I'd like to. Cost around £100 a time to visit Elland road before any food, drink, program, etc,

How many season ticket holders would visit every home game if it cost them this much?

Not a gripe, just a straight answer to a straight question?

Agree0 Disagree0

I have been to nearly every home game since 2000 but the latest lack of activity in transfer window was the straw the broke the camels back... I protest with keeping my £ in my pocket !

Agree1 Disagree0

Yea can fully understand people's issues. As much as we all love Leeds, if I wasn't a season ticket holder then I can imagine it's a very dear do. You will get all the idiots saying Leeds till I die no matter how much, but suppose in these tough times a lot of people are tightening their belts. Lack of ambition rolls down hill to the fans too.

Agree1 Disagree0

I'll start paying my money again when i can see it being put towards the benefit of the team and club as a whole rather than pandering to corporate non-entities.

Agree0 Disagree0

Second reply to this question. On top of the overall cost of getting up to watch Leeds and back, it's also a physical impossibility to watch midweek games unless I want to further lose a days pay ON TOP of the expense.

Fortunately though, I am sometimes able to watch them away from home, albeit in the opposing teams end.

Just pig sick I have now left the Brighton area where I was working up to a month ago, it would have cost me less than £5 to get there and back from my digs down there, and I had the offer of a ticket, again in the away end, but Brighton fans are friendly enough! They remember where Poyet and Ankergen came from....

Another win, and points win prizes. However, we just dont command games and look solid. We can never just control a game. Problems are:

1) Still dont think we are as good a team as last year.
2)Really cant defend..no sign of a clean sheet.
3)We just keep conceeding 5 minutes after every goal.
4) Midfield doesn't protect the back four.

We need some new defenders, and the ones we need we won't get on frees or through the emergency loan market. WHY wasn't this addressed properly in the summer. Also, as per Dom Matteo's suggestion, why not bring in a defensive coach as a fresh pair of eyes to resolve the defensive issues.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Yes,bring in George Graham before Arsenal do,our defencee cost us promotion last year, and unless its sorted,it will again,we need to be able to "shut up shop" when we have to,still need some quality defenders though as well.

Agree0 Disagree0

Look at our goals for and against columns, this early in the season its a replica of last year, just about scored the most and conceded the most, the question is why hasnt it been sorted.

Agree1 Disagree0

In an attacking sense we were brilliant today just not clinical enough but apart from that we always looked like scoring, prior to kisnorbos red card. the defence is woeful, o dea looks uninterested and kisnorbo is not at the races. However i would like to comment at how brilliant Aiden White was today never stopped going and rarely put a foot wrong bailing us out of trouble numerous times. Another 3 points up we go up the table MOT

Agree4 Disagree0

Keogh still missed 2 clear chances to break his duck. the effort is there, but if he doesn't sharpen up, there's Luc and Forsell ready and waiting.

Agree1 Disagree0

Yet again we win, yet again you whinge......

Agree2 Disagree1

For me some of the "stars" don't look interested. Howson and Snodgrass were both woeful today.

Agree5 Disagree1

another scrappy, lucky win. Lonners saves us yet again, but they all count. MOT

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Was it not his crap kick out that lead to kisso being sent off, 2 points of play offs!!

Agree3 Disagree1

2 points off play offs haha

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes bad kick out by keeper but it should not have led to Maynard running away from our defence. Clumsy challenge. Goalkeeper only partly to blame and it was largely due to him in the last two games that gave us any chance of winning.

Agree2 Disagree0

Lonners saved us, if it wasnt for his kick bristol city were hardly in the game. They just hit and hope using Marvin Elliot as a battering ram. although it was scrappy towards the end after kisnorbo got sent off, we dominated the first half and should of been easily 3 or 4 up tbh. Killa's goal was unstoppable and his gesture at Bates when he scored it made it better.

Agree9 Disagree0

17 Sep 2011 15:47:45
Thanks a lot Bates. Killa scores at ER against us and on same afternoon BJ grabs his first Premiership goal. Great job! Pathetic.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Get a life - a pair of duds for us mate - far better players in our squad now

Agree2 Disagree3

Did he ever do that for us? so what, we have Clayton!

Agree3 Disagree0

So we win again and you still kick us?

Any win is a win?

Agree0 Disagree0

Killa and BJ were not duds for us. We got to 7th place with them in the ranks. Killa is not Premiership class and never will be. Didn't mind losing him. Not a good enough athlete at end of the day but I did rate Johnson. Johnson is what I call more of an "end product" player i.e. he shoots and scores goals with a fairly good shot to goal ratio. Some of his tackling and man marking was not quite up to par but he was definitely improving especially with his passing. Personally, I'd have agreed the extra 5k per week BJ or rather his agent wanted. At least then we would have 8 to 10 guaranteed goals from midfield per season, a bit more continuity and a player on the rise. I do see him becoming a steady Premiership performer in the coming seasons, nothing more than that but still a steady Premiership performer is very good considering where we are and what we have for a squad. Clayton is better but I'd rather have Bradley than Brown. Don't think any Leeds fan would disagree with that!

Agree5 Disagree0

''Johnson is what I call more of an "end product" player i.e. he shoots and scores goals with a fairly good shot to goal ratio.''

LOL!

Surely you mean 'a fairly good shots to top tier of the stands ratio'.

Agree2 Disagree0

You mean like the one he did against Arsenal?

Agree1 Disagree0

And like what he didnt do against Cardiff last year remember. i wanted to chop his left leg off when watching that game {Ed003's Note - Jeez,that might have taken it a bit far mate}

Agree0 Disagree0

Who else thinks Snodgrass is no longer interested in playing for Leeds.? His body language is all wrong.

Believable11 Unbelievable2

Besides the assist...

Agree0 Disagree0

Is this the same person every week who has an agenda against Snodgrass?? He's one of our best players....midfielders continually give him the ball and he beats players and assists week in week out! whats wrong with u??? He may not be at his top peak level yet but he was injured for a while...my mate at the game last week, a neutral, said he is your best player!

Agree0 Disagree6

His heart isn't in it. Starting to think we should of took 3.5 million for him from Norwich? Hopefully it's just a poor spell of form everyone has them.

Agree6 Disagree0

Snodgrass is not up to it 30 plus games a season-get rid. and he's a moody sod

Agree4 Disagree0

He constantly beats players?? Are you watching the same snodgrass I do? I haven't seen him beat one player convincingly since the season started. He may get the assists, but he is a long way short of the quality he should be!

Agree4 Disagree1

How long will it be bfore you idiots satr om McCormack, or maybe Nunez, or Snodgrass, or whoever?

Agree1 Disagree4

Your looking at the wrong winger snodgrass was everywhere him and aiden white looked good together today and snoddy was at his best but still performed. Ramon Nunez was a liability today couldnt run forward didnt have the confidence to beat anyone, slowed the play kept cutting inside and cramped the team just hope its a one off. P.s Clayton just keeps getting better and better :) MOT

Agree5 Disagree5

*wasnt at his best

Agree1 Disagree0

Snodgrass hasn't been the same since he was first picked for Scotland last season. To me it's as though he thinks he's good enough for the Premiership and wants to go. Well I've got news for him - this season he's looked better suited to League One.

Agree4 Disagree0

Snodgrass boozes too much... Probably hung over !

Agree2 Disagree0

17 Sep 2011 15:24:20
when will grayson relise that our defence is shocking! we cant keep a clean sheet if we try?? we need a centre back and left back ASAP! sort it quickly

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Agree we need a Centre Back, Poss RB as well and we could switch Lees to CB alongside O'Dea/Or Loan CB

Agree2 Disagree0

We dont need to keep a clean sheet if we score more goals than we concede?

Agree0 Disagree2

True, but thats not a good tactic against man utd

Agree1 Disagree0

Kisnoba needs to go and sit with o'brien and take a good long look at thereselves! if either play again,we will be doomed, there bothe well past it!!

Agree1 Disagree1

17 Sep 2011 15:22:43
Why do we keep conceeding straight ater taking the lead? Grayson surely needs to address the fact that we desperately need a new Centre Back and Left Back!

Believable1 Unbelievable0

True, we do need defenders but tbf to killa it was a worldy striker today

Agree3 Disagree0

17 Sep 2011 15:20:58
How come Kilkenny was scared of shooting in every game he played for us? Then he goes and scores

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Because he didnt care for LUFC FOR THE LAST FEW MONTHS! greedy

Agree1 Disagree1

17 Sep 2011 15:06:26
No vayrynen yet then....good to see clayton back

Believable1 Unbelievable0

You would think for man utd game he will start forsell and Vayrynen? .... just a thought

Agree2 Disagree0

No way will he debut a player in such a big game.

Agree0 Disagree2

Not that big a game really. I hate scum as much as anyone but it's far more important to bring at least a point back from Brighton.

Agree5 Disagree0

17 Sep 2011 12:34:26
Expect to see the likes of gigs Owen berbatov fletcher against Leeds on Tuesday fergie will be after revenge we better be up for it especially are defence or we are gonna receive a hammering

Believable4 Unbelievable5

I would accept the hammering if it means we keep our better players back for league games.....

Hope we don't sign keogh permanently in January .we don't need him.

Believable7 Unbelievable11

He's been great for us so far link up play with McCormack so disagree would like him to sign

Agree8 Disagree5

What a twa* keogh is quality and adds a different dimension to the team

Agree5 Disagree5

If he did sign it would be difficult for simon to keep all his strikers happy, apart from paynter, no1 cares about him

Agree4 Disagree0

Yes Keogh is a fantastic player but with McCormack, Forsell & Becchio already and with Somma on his way back to fitness, do we need 5 strikers when Nunez can play up there too?

Agree3 Disagree1

Agree. unless it's free, there's no need.

Agree5 Disagree0

You are obviously a prat, Keough turned our team around against Hull?

Agree1 Disagree4

And since then? i'm sorry but our squad, when fully fit, doesn't need another non-goalscoring striker.

Agree4 Disagree2

Horrible comment from the original poster. He works his heart out every game, all the boy needs is confidence in front of goal apart from that what he does for the team is what is enabling people like Mccormack (who was great today again) to benefit.

Agree2 Disagree5

Agree with OP. Works hard but we already have much better.

Agree4 Disagree1

Just shows how ignorant some people are, Keogh DEFINITELY turned the team round against Hull City, holding up the ball when required, passing when it was needed, you are an absolute person if you can't see the difference he makes to the team? Just ask McCormack!!

Agree1 Disagree3

Becchio does everything Keogh does, only better - AND he scores goals. We don't need to keep Keogh.

Leeds will be playing Man Utd on Tuesday in the
Carling League cup. Simon have to come up with
the strongest 11.The defence that Simon puts
out to face Man Utd have to be able to soak up
the pressure. If not we are going to get a hidd
ing like what Man Utd did to Arsenal a couple weeks back. I believe Alex Ferguson this time will not
underestimate Leeds like the last time.Rumours
circulating that Sir Alex will plumb for youth in
this tie but knowing Alex he like playing mind
games before the game has even started.Simon
have to keep the starting 11 close to his chest
and maybe throw in 1 or 2 surprises. Hopefully
Simon has something up his sleeve or maybe a
secret weapon to neutralise Man Utd. Best of
luck come Tuesday.

Believable0 Unbelievable4

Ferguspam didn't underestimate us last time - on the day we were the better side and deserved to win, simple as that. Also please remind yourself who played for spam last time. It wasn't a team full of reserves or kids.

We need to get stuck into them. Most teams in the Premiership give them too much respect. Hopefully our better players will perform - Howson and Snodgrass please wake up! If we perform like we can, and scum don't receive the number of favours from the officials which they usually do, we could beat them again.

If we lose, we lose - when all's said and done it's more important to bring at least a point back from Brighton.

Agree2 Disagree0

***where it says "spam" I actually posted "scum"***

17 Sep 2011 00:44:45
lots of negativaty about leeds on here, just like to point out we are only six games in , look how we played against , hull, west ham, and even beat palace, now on howsons back, even the bates senario too much look we have had a chairman that bought players for toffee and nearly killed our club, i cant belive things are so bad, another 3 points tommorow, things are looking up!!!

Believable5 Unbelievable0

I agree surely we all want success asap! but only two years ago we were in division 2 it takes time to rebuild and rebuild so it doesnt happen again, look at man city you never know, or chelsea who bates saved once! be patient support leeds and most of all march on TOGETHER! {Ed001's Note - Bates saved Chelsea? When? He was responsible for nearly causing Chelsea to collapse with his Chelsea hotel etc, Matthew Harding came in and saved the club. Then, after he died, his foundation kept the club barely afloat despite Bates. But even then it was on the verge of admin and Roman Abramovich rescued the club. He nearly destroyed Bournemouth prior to that as well.}

Agree0 Disagree0

He did save Chelsea. by selling them to Roman. {Ed001's Note - unfortunately the only thing he was saving the club from was himself.}
