Ed noticed that badge kisser got same number on his back 44 do u know what significance it has to him?

{Ed013's Note - I believe it is a tribute to a family member}

If I'm correct it is because that was the age his grandmother was the last time she saw him play

Signing of the season so far? Our keeper looks and performs like a star player. His performances suggest the defence is still learning to play with one another but if our CB, s keep playing with the skill and passion shown we are going to be back to the days of woodgate and Ferdinand! Just need Mel and Tony back. or Paul(s) and Terry/Trevor

Ed saw on highlights of fulham and noticed mccprmack got 44 again on his shirt what was his reasons for that number at leeds then at fulham?

{Ed003's Note - I left your original post for 013 mate I'm just covering ,maybe some posters can help because I don't have a scooby pw.}

You have to admire MC, he says we have been inundated with applications for the coaches role at LUFC but WONT be influenced by agents.
We have people who want to speak to us regarding the vacancy but we WONT be doing it through agents.

Our new coach will be hired on LUFC terms and our terms ONLY.

Trying to think back when was the last time we had an owner that had LEEDS at heart as Massimo seems to have ;)

Agree Andy. The decision must genuinely be a nightmare for him.
Just been to get my tickets for Saturday, and said hello to MC's son Eduardo standing outside the shop - definitely get the impression that the whole family are becoming totally committed to the cause. MOT

No Adryan, Mowatt, Sloth, Montenegro against Bournemouth & still managed to win.
Can't wait till all players fit & ready to go. Competition for places should make us even better.
There seems to be a lot of talk about promotion next season. Anyone think like me that there is no reason we can't go up this season?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

To early mate team just put together love it to happen but long way to go yet

Agree0 Disagree0

Danum haven't seen benedici at all yet but also del fabro missing out of our new players

Agree0 Disagree0

True Tingley, I'm thinking Benedicic (or whatever), might be the best of the lot

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Sep 2014 06:24:48
Bendicic is a real talent but think he needs to toughen up mentally for the championship its a lot more physical than he is used to. Think him and Adryan will be used as subs at first but I think in the new year they will be our midfield pairing, harking back to the days of Giles and Bremner. Also in Del Fabro and Cooper we have a centre back pairing for the future, Think we need a left back, Warnock doing ok but if we are looking to the premiership not good enough.Hoping Mcdaid lives up to his potential for the future. In all I think we have a team for the future and I have not been this optimistic since Jones got that cross in for Clarke and brought the silverware home

Agree0 Disagree0

Oooooooo it's all very promising.

Doukara looks an absolute beast in the championship. Been really impressed with him. We look a lot better with him in team. Great acquisition imo MOT

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yeah he looked nervous at first but now his confidence is up he will be an animal, I said a while ago he will be out top scorer, wish I would of put a bet on now! Can you do it for top scorer of individual clubs?

Six different players scored one league goal each - a bit different from last season when McCormack out ment Leeds out! Nice to see we no longer depend on one or two players!

And loads of cred to Doukara, who may prove a massive transfer! Terrific scoring ratio so far this season! Think he has it all, and will only get better! Hopefully Becchio rumours now dead and burried!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Becchio
Went to the Millers I believe!

beating Bournemouth will count for nothing if we don't beat Huddersfield. got to beat the inferior teams at home, including rivals :)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Really? They'll deduct us the 3 Bournemouth points if we don't beat Huddersfield?

I know the football league hate us, but this seems a bit harsh to me?

But if you say the 3 points won't count, then I guess you must have some FL insider knowledge that the rest of us don't.

You're not Mr Harvey are you?

Agree0 Disagree0

And beating Huddersfield will count for nothing if we don't beat Brentford, and beating Brantford will count for nothing if we don't beat Reading. and so on and so on.

a pointless comment IMO, but most of mine are probably too, so welcome to the club

That was a waste if a trip then lol

17 Sep 2014 19:07:28
All for local rivalry but a great performance can not be taken away by anyone not even Mr Harvey

Agree0 Disagree0

We turn up expecting to lose . we win 3-1 so surely the game against Huddersfield is a massive game to see the benefit of beating Bournemouth? Win the easy games, get a point in the tough ones.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Sep 2014 11:15:11
yes I was hopeing a draw at best but now we can start to believe again and we scored that is what as been missing goals bring on huddersfield 3-0 or 3-1 would do me and were 6/4 now

Note to Massimo.

First of all sorry for the kiss last night, second time I have done this! Don't worry the wife knows!

Reasons to ask Neil Redfearn to stay as manager.
1. offer the job to Neil up until Christmas, see how we go.
2.Why bring another face in who has to start all over again "everybody gets a fresh start" routine.
3. Neil is a great man manager and is starting to get the players to believe. He seems to be a natural at saying the right thing.
4.Fearless tactition.
5.Not afraid to play younger players
6.Caretaker managers usually fail, mainly due to players becoming disenchanted and complacent. Neil has galvanised the players, they want to play for him, why risk replacing him?
7.He is modest, I think he would take the job on.
8.Neil has talked about Tonge helping out with discussing team matters, how about giving him young player duties?

Any thoughts?

MOT.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Morley you could be right mate.
A new manager could take us backwards before we go forward. i'm not saying we are on a roll yet but you could call it a mini roll! Looking at the fixture list next few games are winnable, how many times has that been said in the past, and then who knows with that momentum where we could end up.
MOT.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well, first thought - maybe cut down on the kissing a bit!
Can't argue with most of the rest. You won't see me complain if Neil stays on a bit longer, or even until Christmas, providing there is an absolute guarantee he stays involved with the academy.
HOWEVER, I would prefer a 'permanent' coach, and with Redders as his right hand man, I don't think it needs to be disruptive if it's the right choice. But I'll say again, if we hammer the Udders on Saturday, I think it's going to be hard for MC not to consider giving it to Redders anyway

Agree0 Disagree0

Morley
I know what your saying and IF Redders wants the COACHES job give him a go he deserves it, the ONLY problem is our youth system will suffer Badly and if we are to be in the premiership year in year out we need youth comi9ng through on a regular basis.
(IMO)

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Sep 2014 22:42:17
spot on Andy- redders would be too big a loss to academy but could he not combine that job with no 2 job with 1st team--just a thought. Also anyone agree Silvestri best keeper we have had in years? Hope he's on a long contract MOT

Come on girls and boys, there are plenty of seats available for Saturday against Huddersfield. let's fill the ground and build on the confidence.

I am doing my bit, transferring over from the kop to East Stand for the game. I am taking the wife and grandkids!

Please buy your tickets, we are into an exciting era!

I refer back to my post a few days ago where I pointed out that the appointment would be relative to a drop in form.

I do think that we will get a new coach in as all of us don't want to loose Redders from the academy but just think it will be harder and harder for MC to appoint the longer he waits, IMO he has to appoint this week.

When we win on the weekend, that will be unbeaten in 4, with 10 out of 12. With Brentford the game after, which is very winnable a decent run might be coming together and I don't know what effect a new man will have at this point.

Get the strong impression that MC now knows who he wants, and I think we will have someone in place after the Huddersfield game (Sabello, Milanic?). I just hope that if we hammer the Udders 5-0, he doesn't do a U-turn and give the job to Redders. He's far too valuable with the academy - but assistant to the newbie would be perfect!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

NR far too valuable; totally agree

His day will come but, under MC would be career suicide

Can we all just take a minute to appreciate that Silvestri, Doukara, Antenucci & Bellusci won us that game last night! Four of Massimo's signings, credit where credit is due.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Bianchi played a key part in two of those goals as well

Massimo has obviously got a good eye for players - better than the dross brought in by previous so called managers!

Respect to NR for getting the new signings and youngsters to gell and produce good football.

Silvestri, Doukara and Co are looking good prospects and playing for each other and the team - MOT.

Big respect to Redfearn all. The guys speaks it as is doesn't spout rubbish and knows how to change the course of a game with use of subs. But I for one would rather we kept him under wraps for now with the youth but advising the new man when he arrives.

The futures bright all, @ the futures white. But our future yet may be Darko!

1-3 on a Tuesday night 1-3 on a Tuesady night 1-3 on a Tuesday night 1-3 on a (u get the rest).
