Publicity Dave?

Agree0 Disagree0

Luke murphy signing maybe that was the good news

Agree0 Disagree0

BBc radio leeds getting to do commentary again could that be the news haigh was on about

Agree0 Disagree0

Tweeted after Luke Murphy signed, personally I think it's the tv deal

Agree0 Disagree0

Why don't you get off his back calling him publicity Dave all the time ( jokes not funny anymore ). He already has done more for our club than you will ever do so go back to your playstation and button it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its the Red Bull thing new naming of ground and massive sponsorship good times ahead

RED BULL! New investors

Agree0 Disagree0

YEP reporting Leeds Utd in discussions with Red Bull where Haigh has good contacts. Could mean a change in name of Elland Road, however will bring additional funds!

Agree0 Disagree0

Sponsorship deal with Red Bull, possible ground naming rights, according to YP.
CJS

Agree0 Disagree0

The red bull sponsorship deal, has popped up again, maybe it's that. Or it could have been the LUFC treasure hunt for the away kit!

Agree0 Disagree0

It's about the potential deal with Red Bull I think.
dougie

Agree0 Disagree0

Deal with red bull. elland road and thorpe arch to be bought back and ER to be renamed, funds given for players, leeds massive force once again!

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe the red bull rumour that has surfaced?

Agree0 Disagree0

It must've been the red bull deal which YEP were alluding to this morning

Crmd

Agree0 Disagree0

Think it's about a mega bucks deal with energy giant red bull, article in yorkshire post.

Agree0 Disagree0

According to ITV/YEP we have almost tied up the Red Bull deal that was mooted a copule of weeks ago.

Just thought I'd post that I was right about the new away kit being navy blue as posted the other day! The proof is on LUFC's official twitter account, it will also have some gold, however whether this is just trimmings or shorts or what I am unsure!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The Red Bull blue as in the formula 1 racing team colours

Agree0 Disagree0

Where is it I can't seem to see it anywhere online.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd there any picture of it.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jul 2013 14:03:41
Where can I see it ed everyone keeps going on about it being navy and gold like the pics on lufc twitter page but I think that's our training shirt.

the team for the brighton game and mcdermotts first choice team is

Kenny
peltier lees pearce Warnock
byram Austin murphy white
smith hunt

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Bet you £1m it isn't. Austin is suspended. JD

Agree0 Disagree0

No mccormack, don't think so

Agree0 Disagree0

For a start we'll play 4-4-2 diamond and green will play a holding role bmd said that warnock and byram are crucial for this formation as wing backs, then green will drop off in the spaces either of them left behind McCormack will play behind the two strikers which I hope it's Noel hunt and poleon, then the new signing hopefully a winger will play right side and aidy white will play left that's what bmd said.

Del Boy

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha ha love it! No green? Played last 5 games infront of back four! Austin is suspended, we are playing a diamond in midfield as well so doubt white and byram will be in mid! Oh well better get bk to football manager!

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Jul 2013 23:23:31
So no place for million pound man Murphy?

Agree0 Disagree0

More like

Kenny
Byram Peltier Lees Warnock
Green
Murphy Tonge
McCormack
Poleon Smith

Subs Ashdown Pearce Varney Hunt White Austin Hall

We need Mills to compensate for loss of Bromby and Kissa. We need GMS to make up for loss of Snods. We need Adomah to replace Max. Then we have a team and squad capable of reaching playoffs. As it stands, we are 8th/9th place material.

Agree0 Disagree0

Aidy white won't be in his starting XI, Austin will be.

Agree0 Disagree0

For the people who keep saying that Austin will be in the team, think again! He is suspended for the first 2 matches so there is no way at all that he will be playing in the first game.
Come on lads keep up with the program!

Agree0 Disagree0

"Aidy white won't be in his starting XI, Austin will be. "

White ISN'T suspended, Austin IS!

Agree0 Disagree0

Rudy outside bet to be named captain

Agree0 Disagree0

Rudy can't talk good english so god help us if he gets 2 b captain

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't be a worse captain than Kevin Nichols
Mr Happy

Agree0 Disagree0

Whats that got to do with been captain nothing at all even if he can't speak good english doesn't mean he won't be a good leader

Agree0 Disagree0

With leeds saying we need a new keeper, wonder what everyone thinks about lee camp? Free agent, and I don't think he has had the opportunity to really prove himself! He had that immense season at forest where people were saying he is the best in division and he is now a free agent, only 28, I'd definately be taking a look

Matt

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Thanks Lee

Agree0 Disagree0

Doubt he would join us just to sit on the bench

Agree0 Disagree0

Hes terrible.

Agree0 Disagree0

How can you say what the starting line up will be when, we don't even know how many more player will be brought in.

I up it does look a little different to the one's above, too much like last seasons team!

Agree0 Disagree0

Leeds United striker Ross McCormack has been ordered to pay more than £1,000 for illegally dumping Christmas waste in a layby.

(Was that Norris, Brown and Varney he dumped there?)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Probably habibou and Morison since we got them in January.

Murphy cost us 1million
And if you think about it we could of brought in free midfielder and do you really think GFH capital will spend 1million on on player and have no Money to after that

So question does GFH capital have money ready to spend?
I believe they do

Believable0 Unbelievable0

18 Jul 2013 18:29:15
Lets hope this treasure hunt that superfan haigh aka publicity Dave is running has some new players at the end of it?

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Jul 2013 18:17:56
Why haven't they spent it then?

Agree0 Disagree0

They have money to spend but they are only prepared to spend big on young players who have potential. They have shown this and they have also shown they are not prepared to spend big on players who have reached their peak. When they turned down matt mils for 1 million and instead wanted a loan
They are clever business minded people who are quite obviously not prepared to waste money on players with no potential which is why our transfer window has been like this so far. With the exception of noel hunt.
A lot of championship clubs have taken advantage of league one and two players not signing new contracts.
Adam chicksen to brighton on the cheap
Richard wood a leeds fan to charlton
Alan judge to Blackburn
Etc etc
Brian has signed better players than these lot and most other championship clubs and we have more to come

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes I do think they have money but wnt b spending over 1 mill 4 anyone. alf no chance, gms no chance.

Agree0 Disagree0

McCormack's been fined for flytipping according to the Stevening Most. haha! New song

"Ross McCormack, is having a fly tip, grab your car keys and yer boxes!"

Believable0 Unbelievable0

18 Jul 2013 20:22:12
Yeh great tune! how did Stock Aitken and Waterman miss you?

Agree0 Disagree0

Got to say m8, this is a poor attempt of a song

Agree0 Disagree0

Let's hope that he's not so much of a LAZY B. R on the pitch this season as he was in his attempt to sort his house out last Christmas/New Year!

Agree0 Disagree0

My predicted ins and outs:

Ins:
Kasper Gorkks - £200,000 (Wolves/Reading not sure)
Chris Forrester - £75,000 (St. Pats)
Gary Mackay Steven - £1.2 million (Dundee Utd)

Outs:
Pugh - £150,000 (Sheff Wed)
Norris - £150,000 (Sheff Wed)
Pearce - £350,000 (Bournemouth)
Brown - free (Sheff Utd)

-MS

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I would take all three 'Ins', however I think Gorkss & Forrester would maybe cost a little more, likewise why sell Pearce for £350,000, when we only bought him last season for £500,000; young for a centre back as well at 25 and has potential to get better. Bournemouth would at least have to match the money we payed for him.
Pugh & Norris are probably two McDermott is definately looking to ship off, however I would add Drury to the list, but not sure who would want him.

Agree0 Disagree0

I wish. But over 2 mil on two players for our midfield and by the looks of it a huge chunk of our budget on two untested at this level? Bit of a gamble. I think with murphy comin in and if we are to spend 7 figures on a wide man it might be on someone who has championship experience. (Adomah type) but how good is GMS? If he that great why aren't Celtic going for him? Has anyone actually seen him play on a regular basis? (Not the same you tube vid over an over)

Also if we have been playing Pugh as cb in preseason. U think Brian might want to plug that hole first?

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope so

Agree0 Disagree0

Gorkss is out of contract

Agree0 Disagree0

Brown not going he signed a new deal Afew months ago.

Agree0 Disagree0

Got friends who are SWFC fans and they said your probably wrong with them signing the players you said. You might be right about Pugh, although they have recently bought players in his position so looking less likely. However Norris won't be going there, first he rejected them last year and has proved in a season with us that he can't hack it in the championship. Apparently SWFC are looking to sell central midfielders themselves so can't see them buying Norris.

Agree0 Disagree0

Norris ain't going nowhere, by miles a key player 4 us, pearce will b at leeds, brown is going nowhere, pugh maybe but not to wednesday they loaned him and dnt rate him. gorkks will b a league 1 player. gms 2 good 4 us

Agree0 Disagree0

How the hell is gms to good for us have you seen which team he plays for

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah I have kone played 4 wigan dnt mean that was his level. gms is far 2 good and will want a prem move, look at pilkington at norwich very overated so if he's in the prem so can gms be.

Agree0 Disagree0

"Brown not going he signed a new deal Afew months ago. "

Doesn't mean Leeds can't sell him?

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah it does as he's old clumsy and shockingly poor, no 1 will want him when they have 2 pay 4 him jeeze think about it!

Agree0 Disagree0

Whatever happens this summer with the team, we should all get around them and back the players. If we do that then I think we are in for a great season. MOT

Believable0 Unbelievable0

18 Jul 2013 18:21:02
Half agree! We should always back the players but i'm not expecting a great season because the manager hasn't been supported financially!

Agree0 Disagree0

Hasn't been supported financially? So gfh haven't just paid 1M for a player? This isn't the first time since 2005? Why are you making excuses? I guess if mcd had more money he would have bought more but the season has not started yet and if it does with this current team and this manager we will finish in the top 6. Have faith. Bates has gone. No more excuses. Be positive.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said to the 2nd reply we have way to many doom and gloom fans supporting this club its about time all these fans that keep moaning started to actually get behind brian the man deserves are support.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Jul 2013 11:25:48
In my opinion I think Leeds will struggle this season still no real investement and we have bought very average players and the money spent on murphy is done over a period of time fact so nothing as really changed, really like the new gaffer hope he does well

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Kill the optimism why don't you.

I don't think we will struggle, if that was so we would be looking at relegation.

our team is slightly stronger with our 3 additions I would say. We may get play offs as the league so unpredictable but at the moment I think top half of mid-table, I do not think we will struggle though

Agree0 Disagree0

Aren't you optimistic! Everything wrong with Leeds atm.

Agree0 Disagree0

"our team is slightly stronger with our 3 additions I would say"

You forgot to mention we also have a manager this year rather than a pilchard.

Agree0 Disagree0

2nd poster here, to the fourth poster, very good point but I just thought that would be implied :). But thanks for pointing that out

Agree0 Disagree0

I think leeds will win the title.
We have the best manager in a long time. He obviously has to win something to warrant that, but I am highly optimistic by what he says, the changes he has made and the club uniting behind him.
We have a new central midfield player who voted as best player in league 1, who can tackle and play. I think CM was the most important position to fill. We might have a few midfielders but they are not footballers players they are grafters. We have grafters and ball winners such as green and Austin. We have an exceptional talent in diouf who although older and slower can nuture the kids. I think we can probably credit diouf for helping bring on bryam. Doofus best position for me was right wing ahead of bryam.
We have a good all round team with good youth coming through and mediocre players that will play better football under mcd.
Gfh has invested in the club and although I would like to see a left winger which I think is our weakest position I am optimistic enough to say we would finish in the top 6 with the team we have now.

Just to get a pre-season fix; went to see Colchester Utd v's West Ham on Tuesday (nothing special) but I was impressed with Sanchez Watt (just signed for Colchester) he came on in the second half and did give the hammers right back a bit of a roasting!

Was also impressed with a Col U player wearing no 39 (a left back) no name on shirts or in programme but again he gave Jo Cole a bit of a game, Cole appeared to be playing on the right side of midfield and was skinned a cople of times

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The same watt who scored 1 goal in 22 appearances for us. Wouldn't be good all he's doing now is dropping down the divisions. From arsenal to Wednesday is bad enough but then to Colchester

Agree0 Disagree0

Heard from a good source that Leeds are after Bolton striker Jermaine Beckford.
Owen Lee Joe King

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Get real he's just signed for them can we forget about him now

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the clue was in th OP's name, mate, lighten up.

Agree0 Disagree0

Always one that bites he WAS ONLY JOKING. look at the name!

Agree0 Disagree0

To the first poster if you read his name he says he's joking.

Del Boy

Agree0 Disagree0

Jeeeez. don't some people ever get a joke? To the person who replied to the original poster it was a joke. He even said so with his sign off to make it easier for numpties to get!. what a plum

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Jul 2013 05:41:24
Getting a bit fed up of the ridiculous and blatantly made up rumours on here.
Mackay-Steven won't be joining because we don't need an injury prone left winger. We've already got White & Hall.
Wabara won't sign because we aren't selling Byram.

Look at the teams McDermott has put out in pre-season. He's after a centre back!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ed0013 said we are strongly rumoured to be signing mackay. So I agree with ed over u :)

Agree0 Disagree0

No its not true about gms being injury prone he's never bloody injured. quality player but I dnt think we are good 4 him he can get better

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes it is true about his injuries he suffered a really bad one while playing for liverpool U18s that's why they released him

Agree0 Disagree0

That dnt mean he's injury prone

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jul 2013 22:33:55
Really disappointed that we did not get Beckford

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Don't suppose many others wil be, me included.

Agree0 Disagree0

We didn, t want Beckford, had his day move on.

Agree0 Disagree0

If he had joined you would have all been happy. Instead too many of you are just far too bitter. Beckford did mostly good for Leeds whereas a lot of you just bring NEGATIVITY

Agree0 Disagree0
