Im not sure redders wants job permantly think he's very happy head of academy working with next crop of talent and just be around to help with first team if needed

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Think you are half right mate. But deep down, I think, he would love the job. But he is doing such a great job with youths it would be such a risk for Neil, seeing he loves his job with kids and working for MC is a bit risky with first team squad. As much as I enjoy Cellino I am not sure i'd work for the man.
MOT.

Well how about this for a nightmare scenario:
We hammer the Udders, but despite this Redders is not offered the job, because as we all keep saying he's to valuable to lose from the academy.
Another (manager-less) club realise how good he is, and offer him job as their Head Coach/Manager. Would he go?
Discuss.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would work for MC for say 200k no problem, risky or not!

Re Redders well if he wins against the dog chassers and Brentford then in his own mind you would think he would want to take that risk.

good coach/manager is all about motivation, set team up right, ability to change it when not working, get most out of what you have, i.e. pick the best team not just best players and take a chance sometimes.

So far he has done well but as we all know it is a fine line, if he wins next 2 then MC sort of has to go with him in many ways, maybe saying he can go back to the development squad if it doesn't work out.

i just wanna say what a fantastic atmosphere at bournemouth from the leeds fans and a great 2nd half comeback from the boys, i had a great night on the south coast with the thames valley boys,
just something i'm picking up on redders body language from the pre match press conference, i think he would take it if offered as i think he's enjoying himself and the lads are taking to him and really playing for him, i also have to agree with morley who said yesterday that it could hamper things to bring in a new coach now we seem to be building momentum, what's everybods thoughts on that, going to canaries saturday so will miss a few games but will be listening in from my sunbed and raising a cerveza to the boys! c'mon the whites! regards dj mot

If Redders was given the coaching job and it didn't work out, what would be the chances of him taking the academy job back on again?
Presuming he would want to that is.

Conversation between Magath & McCormack after losing last night to Forest 5-3.
Mc " we did well tonight didn't we boss?"
Mag " you what? We lost again!"
Mc " I know but we scored 3 and I got 2 of them"
Mag " yes Ross but we only have 1 pt from 7 games - it's a catastrophe"
Mc " don't worry because I did well scoring 2. Can I have another £10k a week please? "
Mag " you selfish little git"
Mc " look boss. I am not bothered. Give me another £10k a week because I am so good and I promise I will kiss the Fulham badge more than I did at leeds"
Mag " I can't do it Ross - I may lose my job at this rate "
Mc " well I can save that too. Give me the money, I will kiss the badge more AND I will go on national tv and say what a great manger you are and that you should stay and you have my support and I would leave the club if you left. See you are bound to keep your job now because I am so respected and so gooooooood"
Mag " sounds a plan ross. You can have £12k a week. Thanks mate "
Lol.
This is only a bit of banter before the ffs brigade tell me to move on as he's gone. He still a little selfish lxxxx and always will be!
Up the revolution! Bring on the Udders! MOT

How dare you ridicule next season's leading goalscorer in League One and runners-up medallist for the Johnstone Paint Trophy 2015?

Agree0 Disagree0

Looks like it wasn't enough - Magath has gone!

Jesus some fans ave got short memories. Get over it lads, the man has left to further his career. Yes, in football more cash generally means a career advancement. HE IS NOT A LEEDS FAN.

Read the second last line of the opening post Cork . Only a bit of craic.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its not like he went for 1mil and virtually ran out the door (ok maybe a little).

We got £11mill for him. that's 5l ess than both Welbeck and Balotelli and double what Asombaloonga cost.

Good business in my eyes both short term and long term.

I know Redders does terrific work with the academy but surely he has to be given a shot at the job?! I know it's a risk but things are going so well at the moment that I don't want a thing to change.
In my opinion I think we should risk hiring a new academy coach and give Redders the 'coach' position.

perhaps new bloke should work close with redders as he knows the youngers and been with new players

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree Valley, was thinking the same last night.

The improvement in 3 games has been incredible and starting to pay dividends. Either Redders has the players or he's found the right combination, whichever, I fear a slight step back if somebody new comes in.

Just a thought, but Redders seems to have instilled a real togetherness in the squad, the players respect and want to play for him, his motivational skills, tactical awareness and substitutions seem spot on, instead of a new head coach, why not bring in someone to work under Redders so he can fulfill a dual role with the development squad. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Totally agree. Everything seems more settled now than for ages. Has to be worth a try

If it ain't broke? MOT
