last week got me thinking of a weird conspiracy having watched us play all season and we only ever looked good when we actually passed it under NW why oh why after soo many poor performances did he never changed tactics anyone with a brain in their head would of known long ball crap was never working so why did he insist with the same lame tactic? : ( he never tried a passing and moving game for some strange reason was all bout passin when I grew up anyways! so why did he stick to the same system because it possibly be he tried to get us relegated purposely sounds far fetched I know but what if he where still manager where would we be get ya thinking hay? since brian has taken over and changed tactics to pass we seem so natural when playing how could NW not spot this all I can say is thank god! we changed manager when we did just a pity and shame it wasn't sooner! with NW and his 8th promotion my ass!
MOT people got to say it feels good being a leeds fan these days! refreshing to say the least! lol Oh well just a thought folks!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agree 100%. If we had kept the last manager we would have been Down for sure. Does make you wonder how he had been so sucessful previously but so bloody useless now, unless it was purposely done. If only gfh had realised when most of us had, wed be up. Never mind. One more year won't hurt, give mcd more preperation time.

What Rubbish, trying to get us relegated! have a word with yourself. This was his last chance to enhance his reputation with another promotion as his legacy, do you seriously think he wants to be remembered as a failure?
His problem was, he lived in the past, the game has moved on and his type of up and at em long Hoofball dosn't work anymore as other teams know how to beat it quite easily. The players had to buy into this or they were out, ( Clayton for one ) even young Barclay from Everton was given his marching orders, unbelievable. He is a Dinosaur and will go into semi retirement in Cornwall.
We have a forward thinking manager now, let's just be thankful that he was available and our new Board had the good sense to get him in now. Our future looks so much brighter under him and the players we have even look like most of them with a few really well thought out additions could get us very close next year.

I'd like to say that that is a load of carp, but I don't know what to think anymore where Warnock's concerned. I was one of the people who were dreaming of the big time when he took over so that shows how much my opinion is worth. I'd like to say you're wrong but it gets more believable with every day that Brian is in charge.

Agree0 Disagree0

Interesting thought, and although JFK and many more theories are going around, I wouldn't think that NW would try to get us relegated but he just hasn't put the effort in to get us up either, just another pay day for him.

It was surprising to read on the OS that B McD didn't realise that we had the skillfull and good players in the squad that we have - he has obviously seen us play this year and thought most of them were a load of tosh the same as we have.

Maybe the future is bright, it will be interesting to see the next couple of results and performances as realistically under NW management even the most optimistic wouldn't have expected much good news from the results.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ridiculous first post, although warnock had awful tactics if you went to the Wednesday game it wasn't like we changed from Wimbledon to Barcelona. There are many issues that need solving, first half awful, second half improved however we were the width of a post and a lira miss away from a draw against a poor team. Tuesday night much improved but we didn't steam roller an average championship side! The main issue still remains the quality, or lack, of the playing staff. Calm down. Also 911 is not a conspiracy. Jesus

Agree0 Disagree0

Did warnock play terabt at qpr not quite hoof ball was it.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with the first poster. I have been suggesting this from his appointment. He does not like Leeds at all- even went out to celebrate when we were relegated. Bates is no fan either, especially with all the abuse he gets from the fans. Put the two together and the news is not good for Leeds. If NW had gone back to Sheffield Utd for a last push for promotion that would confirmed it IMO.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont forget what warnock has said about leeds in the past, I am absolutly sure that when he realised that promotion was not a foregone conclusion as he thought it would be that the next best for him personally would be to us relagated, this man is a self centred sheff u toss pot

Agree0 Disagree0

3rd poster you say NW tactics where old but yet qpr didn't seem to play so badly when promotod 2 years ago not 20 so his he hardly changed to a dinosaur in just two years give me a break!

Agree0 Disagree0

Absolutely bang on. warnock qouted to me years ago when he saw lufc tattoo " you f*cking leeds " this was a vicious verbal attack and he was only bury manager then.
quite obvious he wanted this team down. leopards don't change there spots. could you manage that red outfit over the hills. no, I thought not. once you hate a team that's it. it stays forever.
on a plus point I can now go to see my team again now. I swore never to go while that donkey was manager.
MOT come on maccyD get us up next year

Agree0 Disagree0

So we all agree. No conspiracy. He didn't try and get us relegated, he was just so goddamn utterly useless at his job, when you look at his whole term, tactics, signings and results its hard to understand someone can be that bad

if you go back to when colin was appointed, bates was comin in for protests big time. takings were down and bates needed time to hoover up the last dreges of cash whilst deflexing attention. enter warnock perfect mug loves the sound of his own voice. must say worked a treat. no conspricy just good bates business. we was mugged like it or not. you can fool most of the people most of the time. but you can't fool me

Original poster, grow up and live in the real world, at QPR they had some quality midfielders already there when he went. He bought scrappers and battlers for Leeds because we couldn't afford quality and decided Hoofball was the way to go as with Shff Utd when he won promotion with them, also the same with Notts County. My point is that he got rid of any quality such as Clayton and Barclay. to be fair to him ( which I don't want to be ) he never had a say in Snoddy leaving

Agree0 Disagree0

I said the same thing months ago about warnock stitching us up. No plan A. never mind plan B. I thought when he took over after grayson his hoof ball tactics were to make the team look bad so he would be able to get rid of players he didn't rate & get some more in. Obviously no change in tactics when he got rid of the ones he didn't want? We didn't want someone who thought he was bigger than the club trying to take us back a decade. Some quotes you may remember ; Nigel clough will never see a team of mine roll over like last season, " I couldent have asked any more of my players after we got a drubbing from barnsley! How the owners etc allowed this man to destroy our club for months after this game is unbelievable.

Agree0 Disagree0

So many persons follow Leeds, about time you all grew up, warnock is history, conspiracy?, ffs how sad are you lot. as for clayton, he was greedy and thought he was better than he was, move on ffs

No I hope that if Brian decides to sign a mature player, that people won't instantly dismiss the signing and start calling for his head.
I say this based on the evidence of the signings he made a reading, look at Roberts and harte!

Cheers

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If they play well in a team playing good, attractive football then they'll be accepted and the manager will be praised. If not. well we know what will happen if not.

Agree0 Disagree0

Original poster here. I agree, that should be the same with all players. I mean initally though

Agree0 Disagree0

First replier here. See what you mean now. yeah I think it might raise a few eyebrows at first but Brian'll get more benefit of the doubt than Warnock simply because his style of football is better.

Agree0 Disagree0

O. p. here. yeah, I think you're right. I hope so anyway. feeling positive at the moment about a better season next year.

if you hover over the west ham fans blog site title on the 'news now' - and click on the title of his sad little blog i. e 'The games gone crazy' ( not on his article title ) then it gives you the option to HIDE forever that annoying sad fellow from all future news now posts! DO IT all - do it now - tell your friends - limit this mans traffic and ignore his posts in news now

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Settle down lad. I go on rumours and banter sites every day. And have no idea who u talking about. He is west ham fan? And he knows what about football?

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks for that info, he is now hidden for life
Ausman, the guy he is on about is a pain in the bottom

Agree0 Disagree0

Ausman - if you don't know what i'm talking about then you are fine - those who do know what i'm talking about can now ( by follwong instructions ) be free of this west ham wind up merchant!

p. s don't call me Lad i'm too old for that mate

Agree0 Disagree0

To the original poster thanks very much indeed. This west ham man needs putting down at the vets. Mot.

Agree0 Disagree0

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Premiership bound.

Looks like Brown may be back in the team tomorrow then?

Oh well, it was good while it lasted, I wonder how long he'll be on the pitch before he gets booked this time.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I just cannot understand how this man is still allowed to be playing for us when we have some actually half decent players sitting on the bench not getting a game

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't worry mcd will want to look at him and when he does he will see what we all do

Agree0 Disagree0

"Don't worry mcd will want to look at him and when he does he will see what we all do"

I think the number of cards Brown has had over the past few years should give that away?

2008/09 7 yellow cards
2009/10 7 yellow cards 1 red card
2010/11 3 yellow cards
2011/12 7 yellow cards 1 red card
2012/13 10 yellow cards (seaon not over yet!)

Agree0 Disagree0

Brown will be miles better today if he plays, no midfielder could get into game under warnock

Agree0 Disagree0

Thank God Brian didn't play Brown, hopefully he already realises he is a liability.

Just a shame that Brown has an option of extending his contract rather than Leeds being able to cancel it.

Wonder what percentage of that Warnock is on,,

If we are looking at signing players from Reading, Church and Pearce will be available on free's in July.
Meaning we could fork out for McCarthy and a wise man.

Some young players with bags of quality!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

19 Apr 2013 11:26:12
If we are going to sign a wise man let's hope its the one that brought gold then we can sell the gold and sign a wide man!

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah, I meant Wide Man, but a Wise Man from the Middle East would be a nice addition!

Agree0 Disagree0

" but a Wise Man from the Middle East would be a nice addition"

I'd prefer a rich man myself.

Agree0 Disagree0

If he's that wise then he won't come near Leeds without any money

Its going to be an interesting summer with plenty of ins and outs. Possible signings I would like. Sako, Butterfield, Adohmah, Craig Dawson, Church and maybe even Phil Neville! All very good championship players and Neville could be a very shrewd buy. Not suggesting he would make the same impresssion as Strachan but still has lots to offer at RB or holding midfielder.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Some quality names there, would have Dawson and Butterfield if no one else.

Agree0 Disagree0

In terms of cheap, quality options:
- Burke, free
- S. Hunt, free
- Butterfield, loan
- Neville, free
- C. Davies, £750k
- A. Pearce, free

All fantastic additions for about £2.5m maximum if you include loan fees and signing on bonuses!

Agree0 Disagree0

But the wages would be astronomical

Agree0 Disagree0

Forgot to mention the lad at Barnsley Perkins. Could be worth a punt although pretty sure he no spring chicken. Very good player though and would be cheap enough when they probably go down although I hope not!

Agree0 Disagree0

I reckon Burke & Pearce wouldn't want particularly much in terms of wages although I admit that Davies and Hunt will already be on £25k a week or so.

Mac has got the lads to play passing game of football
again instead of Warnock's hoof ball. A breath of fresh air has sweep through ER. What a relief. We cannot get carried away after 2 games but I am optimistic that when the new season starts, Mac will assemble a squad good enough to mount a serious
challenge to the Premier League. Mac coming in before the season starts will also give him more time to assess the squad and do away with players he do not want and bring in quality players to fill up the positions he thinks needs strenghtening. Cannot wait for the next season of 2013/14 to start as Mac now has really got Leeds to play free flowing attractive football. The crowd hopefully will increase in size and good times are back again at Leeds. MOT.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Its early days yet, but I do like McDermott's philosophy, the 'all in it together ' attitude is very much like Revie's view, when they were all one family. To make it work, we need a settled consistent team as a priority, I am sure it would make a difference.

Thinking of when we played Peterborough the young lad up front was good and the young black lad run rings round us he had great pace maybe worth having a look at

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Dwight Gayle? Yeah he was fantastic against us I agree, although I'm not sure whether he plays like that every week? Blistering pace though!

Agree0 Disagree0

Anyone with pace generally looks good against us!
