I have heard a "rumour" Mark Hughes 20/1 get your money on quick cause he won't be 20/1 for long!

Believable0 Unbelievable15

Is this the same Mark Hughes who made a complete mess of QPR?, no thanks.

Agree13 Disagree0

That would be 'Elbows' Hughes?

I usually argue against holding a player's - or manager's - past against him but in the case of Elbows and his history of playing for the Great Satan and - if you'll pardon the expression - Chelsea, I'll make an exception.

Plus he's a cr*p manager.

I don't understand why we are having this debate on who will be next Leeds manager at the moment, we have a manager and if it when he leaves then we have the debate, it just seems to me that most Leeds fans for some reason love a drama, a lot of you have become drama queens, let's just get behind Neil and the boys and get as many points as possible and what will be will be.

Believable13 Unbelievable8

We're having this debate because Warnock himself has stated he isn't staying beyond this season which is by my reckoning a few months away. So of course we are going to be discussing a new manager and whether we should stick or twist and give the new manager a chance to bed in to re-assess the current squad and then get off to a cracking start after the summer.

Liverbird

Agree7 Disagree1

We need to let them get on with it because it won't do the players any good all this speculation, let's have this debate when there actually is a vacancy, because I don't even think the top 2 in betting will be available in summer anyway.

But I don't want this season to fizzle out with Nothing to play for in the last few fixtures like last season! Hopefully results can go our way tonight and we can start a run by beating Blackpool tommorow night! Definitely want a different manager for next season though! M. O. T

Secong ever post, I got 22 believable and not 1 unbelievable so let's see how well I do this time!

I just wanted to touch on the subject of De-Canio, firstly I live in Swindon and am a very passionate Leeds United fan of many years. Like you all I am deflated, shocked, saddened and find the whole situation that exists an absolute disgrace. We are Leeds but the demise of our club is quite shocking, we were once the mighty Leeds but if you are honest we have fallen a long way since those days. Still a proud Leeds fan but its heartbreaking at times to watch and listen to just how low the club has become.

Now for all of you that think De-Canio is our man let me tell you he isn't. Not because he doesn't have passion, determination, ruthletvess and an overiding desire to be sucessful, all of which we desperately need at Leeds. The trouble is De-Canio would be absolutely the right choice having seen and watched him work at Swindon if (and its a big if) he had 25/50 million and was given the full support of the chairman, board and everyone at the club! I honestly believe he would do a fantastic job because you don't mess around where he is concerned, he has you training 110%, committed 110%, fighting for the club 110% and unless everyone gives 110% you wouldn't survive in his world of wanting and desiring total success.

BUT unfortunately the problems at Leeds is the club itself, the owners, chairman and those who run the club. The fans are brillant, loyal, passionate and deserve much much better than what we are currently being given. Sadly its the club that is failing, until we have a solid and committed boardroom with solid investment we are not going any where. No one knows much about GFH, no one knows what or how much the investment is. De-Canio left Swindon because the club sold its best player (only one I might add) he left because he was promised things and given reassurances all of which turned out to be false.

Now let's be honest and frank here do Leeds sell there best players, make numerous promises, give reassuring speeaches into the clubs future etc etc. I will leave you to answer that one.

We the fans know more about our club then any investment bank, club chairman or outside supporter, this unfortunately is reflected in the falling attendances. We are not ignorant or deluded and will not be fed bullsh**. Sadly there is an awful lot wrong at Leeds and has been for many years. I like the rest of you hope and pray that one day things will get better, that someone with De-Canio's passion and desire and will to suceed will purchase the club and be determined and ruthletvess enough to brush everyone else aside in the pursuit of one thing. To restore the 'Mighty' back into the Leeds we all remember, rather than the spineless, toothless and uncaring owners we have to date.

Our fans expect better, desire better and deserve better, I only wish those who run the club would listen to us fans and show as much passion and desire as we do. Sadly until the club rid themselves of those who obviously don't care we are destined to struggle for many years to come.

We were better against Spurs, but Sunday showed the gulf between ourselves and premier league teams.

Last week, I did say 3 more games for Neil. Looks like that's coming true.

I know we all know that GFH Capital are skint but for those who are optimistic, don't be! they are literally skint! I have this on good authority that they were looking to get us promoted this season and sell us on, as soon as possible to gain a quick buck or two, hence why warnock was a stipulation of their takeover, seems as though he's been there and done it many times before. However, their little plan has bit them in the behind because we're not going up and they're in for 50 mill+. We need someone in now that has the money to financially back the team and a manager who can inspire the team to the heights of the PL. WARNOCK AND GFH CAPITAL OUT NOW! MoT

Looking at warnocks statement he's giving himself 3 more games to turn our season around I personally would like poyet but don't think he would leave Brighton for us but in all honesty it doesn't matter who we bring in if the board don't back him with real money for real players not peanuts for monkeys I just hope a good investor buys into the club as its obvious GFH don't have the funds to do it themselves otherwise well be in exactly the same boat next season

I for one will be glad when this season is over. To be brutally honest, bar the scalps we took in the cups, the season never really got going.

A world record for the length of time takeover can take, a non existent summer transfer window followed by the promise of investment during January which again never came to fruition.

I'm not going to blame Neil Warnock. I get the impression that he has been lied to just as much as the fans have. It can not have been easy working conditions and let's face it, none of us really knows what's going on behind the scenes! Plenty of conspiracy theories, but that's all they are.

Bar some sort of miracle, I can't see us pulling together the sort of consistency we need to push for he play offs. I just hope we've got enough left to avoid slipping the other way into the dog fight below!

Time for Neil to go? Quite possibly. Even he admits it could be both on the cards and in the bet interest of Leeds United. If he does go he'll go with my thanks for giving it a bash and doing his best when he was being lied to as much as us.

Who to replace him though? I agree with a lot of you. I really don't think the manager is the issue. Until our boardroom issues are sorted, nothing will change. Regardless of who they bring in. Until the owners show some real passion for Leeds United I think it'll be season after season of mediocracy!

A very deflated Leeds fan from Peterborough.

The problem as I see it with our squad is mainly the mid field we are just not mobile enough, it speaks for itself just look at what we have to play with in reality
1 Rudolph Austin ( sadly out of form since returning from injury slow to react to danger and his passing could be better).
2 Michael Brown ( Has a wealth of experience but unfortunately is now 36 and cannot be relied upon for a consistent run of games his best years are sadly behind him now).
3 David Norris could probably do a job with a good play maker along side him some one young and fired up to do the donkey work and give Norris the time to play the ball around without having opposition players closing him down he needs more time on the ball to be affective, unfortunately you don't get that at championship level),
4 Paul Green ( A great engine but has to spend to much time covering for other people not doing there jobs will always give 100% and would do a better job given the right support),
5. Michael Tonge Again the same as Norris to much alike apart from the fact that he can hit the target more often than Norris which is not that hard to do, could do a job if given the right support probably a little slow for the championship now, again he needs to be in a system where others do the work to give him the time to pick out his passes and be more affective going forward).
6. El Hadji Diouf was once a great player even though his temperament was in question, but sadly these days his legs have gone making him less affective in the role he is playing for Leeds, he is brilliant at winning free kicks then demands to take the kick and does nothing with it, I must stress that his hunger for the game is still there but given the money he is on now a younger more vibrant player with more energy to be able to get to the bye line and cross with quality would serve us better.
6 Ryan Hall Well we have not seen that much of this young man, maybe we should have by now he will only learn and improve by giving him games we don't seam to want to do that at the moment, for what reason only our management staff can answer that? in my opinion which some will no doubt disagree with but here goes, we need a bunch of players that are willing to work hard for each other and to want to get injured for each other and to play with pride for there club at our currant levee, l the championship, it is not always about pure quality but about being able to motivate the squad to play as a squad and to be able to put in the effort when things are not going well, we do not seam to have that type of camaraderie at the moment, yes we need extra quality in the squad but more importantly we want players who are willing to give blood for the club and there fellow team mates.
I would rather watch eleven players breaking the necks and wringing out there shirts after a game, if you can get just a little quality and a lot of camaraderie you would hit the jackpot.

So many possible names that could take up the hotseat at ER. With Paolo Di Canio newly available, surely he has got to be considered? Young, passionate and a manager that values the passing game. He would get my vote.

Believable6 Unbelievable12

I like his style of football but he carries too much baggage and pantomime around with him - the last thing we need is another off the field fiasco. I think Poyet, Paulo Sousa or a long shot Glen Hoddle. These guys all like the game played on the grass, have great technical knowledge and seem to be able to get players to play for them. I'm not convinced that lightening will strike twice and think Nigel Adkins would be a risky appointment.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd have said Paolo's little brush with fascism disqualifies him.

Harry Rednapp will tell you he's a nut bar.

Moreover, his rash reactionary resignation is not symptomatic of the intelligent leadership that Leeds need.

If we're going foreign, I'd love to see Gus Poyet back.

Another week ahead of the life of a Leeds supporter a manager who has had enough people saying they have the money to back us but in the end wont. Directors who are Mr Bates puppets and try and say the right things oh yes tell you what let's reduce the prices so we can get a few more people into the ground. They don't care about us but I do care about Leeds and will still turn up at every match I do care about what they are doing to our club and wish they will sell it and go back where they came from as long as the people who buy it this time are worthy of the title of owners of Leeds United and will back the manager the team and make us great again. 1 thing I don't understand about warnock is that whenever he is slated by the fans is when he says he hasn't had enough backing and signed the players he wants. Everysingle signing we have made he has stated that he has tryed in the past to sign them. Or been after the for years. Or I've had him before. To me this shows nw has got exactly what he wants at the ckub and its an excuse for poor tactics. Really hoping for a change soon, don't care who as long as they are passionate about the job. Other managers may not have money to spend but have done well without money like Adkins and di can. We just need a positive manager who is not abusive to leeds and its players
We are in a bit of strife ownership and money wise but if it is made clear to new manager funds will come at point of investment, surely leeds are still an attractive opportunity.

Supported Warnocks appointment. Couldn't get my head around why he verbally rubbished the squad not long after the big Forrest defeat and derailed our hopes while it was still mathematically possible last season. He has said the same kind of stuff this season with still 15 games left in this mad house league where anyone can beat anybody. Weekend results in the league weren't to bad. We didn't drop further back and have a game in hand over some now. Yet he does more to discourage than motivate. New manager now. Usual upsurge/ honeymoon results and you could be right back in the play off mix. Less likely to get relegated. Atkins or Poyet for me.

We need a manager who has a vision and who will play good attractive attacking football. A manager who will give the youth a chance, spot a few diamonds either abroad or in the lower leagues and goes about his business quietly. Sorry but I don't see this person as Di Canio as he is too vocal and difficult. We want to be noticed as a team that plays good football and not for a loud mouthed manager. This is my ideal manager for Leeds. Maybe rogeresque.

Believable4 Unbelievable2

I'd settle for anyone who could actually win games, whatever it takes. At the end of the day it's points that will get us up, not flair on the pitch, great academy players or anything else, just points.

I do agree with giving the youth a chance, no point in having a youth system else, you only have to look at the likes of Milner and Lennon and now Lees and Byram to see that!
