Just a long shot here but David Haigh is probably bound by strict legal agreements that he is not allowed to divulge information although i'm sure he more than anyone wants to let fans know exactly what the state of play is. I honestly think we should try and support him although i'm sure my opinion will be unpopular reading some fans blogs. Again only an observation would any of you if you had the money stand for all the rubbish been thrown at you if you were in his shoes. I love Leeds united and always will but reading some of the rubbish he is getting for trying to do his best to buy the club is unbelievable

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I have arrived at a similar conclusion. The blocked Barnes transfer would have seen most managers resign making public the lack of support from their board. McD who had just been humbled by Rochdale and Sheffield Wednesday didn't take this great opportunity to walk away rescuing his reputation at the same time but has stayed put and said very little. My conclusion is that he must think things are going to take a significant upward turn for the better. Just hope I'm right.

I said months ago we needed to sign wells and I was laughed at some said he won't step up trust me he is more than capable uddersfield will end up selling him for 6-8 million within 2 seasons

I disagree with your thoughts on Nahki Wells. He will be worth $10 million in 2 years. #1 LEEDS FAN in BERMUDA. MARCHING ON TOGETHER.

To thr person that said New signings were the worst kebe didn't look bad and I think will do well. Varney did look a bit better than usual but it's Brown for me gives it his all and ilove those challenges .Leeds forever

Reading a lot about McCormack, like him as a player hasn't, t got a lot of competition so is our best player but and it's only my opinion he's not as good a striker as beck ford and no I don't want beck ford back this is just a striker v striker thing . should ruffle a few feathers with that one but I honestly believe we are short a natural selfish arrogant goal scorer . A previous post says rm worth 4 1/2 million could we get a better striker for that money . I have no doubt . what do people think?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ross is a better all round player than Beckford was. Beckfords game was all about finishing, Ross is a provider and a team player. In terms of goalscoring Ross has scored more this season than beckford but its undeniable that Ross does go through phases with his shooting bootst and unfortunately he's lost a bit of confidence recently. Its vital to keep you best players but a goalscorer or finisher like Le Fondre or even Becchio to compliment Ross and allow him to become more creative would be very welcome.

Really wanna see us go for
Dorrans (loan, view to permanent)

Vellios for the McCormack foil, 22, 6'1 and great attitude

Moussa as the mobile attacking mid who scores bloody good goals for Coventry

Believable0 Unbelievable0

WE should have signed Nahki Wells.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally 100% agree with your three choices, these players would really make a difference to "improving" what we have already, they should be within our financial limitations. Hope someone with some clout at the club share our opinions!

Ha, MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

Can think of a few I wouldn't mind. Pilkington and turner at Norwich, Gardner and westwood at Sunderland, ngog and eagles at Bolton Burke at birmingham, parr from palace. All free in the summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jan 2014 21:48:29
Get over Wells, he's gone to the dogs! Anyway what makes you so sure we didn't go for him and he turned us down?

Agree0 Disagree0

Dorrans and Clarke would be good

Agree0 Disagree0

Alf sharpe dorrans watson makay steven wells gudetti we never seem to get these type of players who you know would make a hell of a difference and I know money is a issue but what crazes me is when they end up at clubs like boro brighton ipswich hudds derby

Agree0 Disagree0

Trust me We didn't want Nahki Wells. that's why we didn't get him.

Two things need to happen. The board need to make money available and BMD needs to spend it well. Past history is not good on both counts. Get rid of 'dead wood'. Stewart, Smith, Murphy, Hunt, Kebe (wont be with us next season as we will not be in the premiership). More 'dead wood' around but they were not of BMD's making! Hope his reputation as a scount is justified - not impressed so far.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

None of the names you have mentioned are dead wood? Support Leeds!

Agree0 Disagree0

We can't get rid of Stewart ffs! he signed on loan, with a contract agreed for next season.

Agree0 Disagree0

1st Poster here. Was being sarcastic to show why I wasnt too confident in BMD's choice of new recruits. I know that we are stuck with the ones he has brought i'm already.

I have been saying this consistently for along time now McCormack is a famine and feast man - that's one of the reasons he dropped down the pecking order at Cardiff and why he was allowed to leave. When he is good he is very good then he goes for weeks- even months - without scoring. During this period he is no better than Varney. Like on Saturday McCormack missed a hatful - not the first time. People are blaming Kenny but it was the striker who couldn't get his act together. If you want promotion you need players to be consistent to be consistent. McCormack is anything but. His goal tally doesn't tell the whole story. We need at least four players Mid field (x2), Striker, Central defender. Unfortunately Stewart doesn't seem up to much either. Hopefully he can only get better.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ross hit the ball where it should go it was their defending which keep it out

Reporter, better performance from leeds. You should of been 3 up at half time.
Bmd, should we? Not sure, reading were, 7. that's great isn't it.

I know I`ve been banging on a bit, but let's not keep buying these average players (moore, lita etc) as someone has said unless its a truly massive signing let's stick to what we have.
Brown, Varney, Green when fit.
Mid table then clear out of contracts in the summer.
We can start planning and organising targets now.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Leceister made the play offs with 69 points last season, if we can get a decent striker in and play as good as we show we can with the right formation, it's possible.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with trev. The squad needs a clear out. A lot are out of contract in the summer. Think though if we can just bring 1 striker in if we can off load ehd and varney. Either a Chris wood or Danny graham but not players like Moore or lita! Think in the summer there will be more available to us! So no point getting stuck with players when if we are patient we can get better!

Next year going to be the one for leeds. BMD is on a 3year deal no way can he turn the club round in half a season. JUST KEEP THE FAITH LEEDS 4 LIFE M.O.T

i thought we was wanting to keep the quality players . I think diouf is quality in this league so for me he should atleast be on our bench never mind someone else's.

Because all you ever see on here is people slagging the manager and players off when you only see the odd game on the tv you can't really comment on how they are playing when most on here haven't been to a game all season.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

19 Jan 2014 16:10:49
You actually see more of the game on tv so I believe leeds fan who never went to the game are quite right to voice their opinions, I however do go to games but I do think its right you can have a go at fellow leeds fans for voicing their opinion

Agree0 Disagree0

A Leeds fan is a Leeds fan.

End of!

Agree0 Disagree0

Just because your fortunate to get to games regular don't mean anyone that can't don't have the right to critcise when were playing crap the same way they can praise when playing well

Agree0 Disagree0

Exactly some people done have finances for it especially travel and ticket so think before you speak you muppet we even have Irish fans on here you want them to not have an opinion because they can't afford 3-400 quid to see leeds week in week out. So many words I want to use for you but I can't use them on here and your not worth cursing at.

Agree0 Disagree0

Seen them at ER and TV, same difference.

Agree0 Disagree0

I live in NZ so getting to Elland Road every other week is physically and financially restrictive.

Agree0 Disagree0

Im talking about fans that would rather go to the pub than buy a ticket why is that and i'm the muppet least ill turn up no matter what and not just when it suits me ill keep going because I love this club to much not to.

Agree0 Disagree0

Stop making excuses your telling me everyone in leeds is skint don't be silly where a one club city and on saturday we should of got at the very least 25k we was playing top of the league ffs to many fans make excuses all the time not to turn up!

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jan 2014 19:39:58
Made redundant last year and live 340 mile round trip with ER, watch every tv game, listen to every lutv game and go twice a season. Leeds fans are Leeds fans

Why are we always the club that goes for the poor strikers like Moore and Lita, why couldn't we spend the 1.3 million on Wells, he's got 2 in his first two games in this league already. Or Le Fondre before he scores a hat trick for a play off chasing rival they're not going to let him go now.

These owners have got to spend significantly on a good striker to partner ross.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Le Fondre is not for sale

Agree0 Disagree0

I feel we need to look abroad. Cheaper, potential, better in some aspects. Like it or lump it, the best player in every prem team is foreign.

19 Jan 2014 14:07:53
Brian McD is the man. To get out of this league you need a v good squad. We have a good starting XI. The reason Leicester are top is they have a v good squad. We need the T/O to get sorted quickly and then Brian needs to bring in 5 new players. At that point we will have a v good squad where players have to compete for places all over the park. Its a long season in the championship and a strong squad is what's needed. c'mon guys get this T/O sorted and then we can just talk about the football. PA

It just gets better and better a Chinese billionare is about to buy southamption for 175m and us a way bigger club than them can't get ritch owners atall

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We will get plenty of people wanting to buy us once we get back up to the prem I know its frustrating but we do have the right manager in charge he's the one that keeps me believing.

Agree0 Disagree0

I do wish people would stop saying 'when we get back in the prem'. We have no god given right to be there, you get there on merit and unfortunately we aren't good enough! You need money to get up there, something we don't have.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes but why don't we start bringing in Quality players? MOT

£175m for Southampton? sounds a lot.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it's £1.75p

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jan 2014 17:36:48
Southampton are quite a rich club anyway they don't have any debts which makes them worth more than most

Agree0 Disagree0

Being in the prem gets you 160m a season I thought they would cost more

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - no it does not, talk about complete fantasy figures!}

19 Jan 2014 13:01:41
ALF bags a hat-trick for Reading. That's his value gone up then which will probably blow us out of the water. if we were in for him, I doubt they will allow him to leave now.

Mick

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Cant you read, BMD already said they won't sell him to us, in his interview when asked by a reporter . Why should they?

Graham Dorrans, Danny and Danny Graham/Billy McKay. Would rather get two big signings than 5 average ones. Dorrans soon to be out of contract I believe and can't imagine either striker being monumentally expensive. Only potential stumbling block - wages.

It was unfair that we lost. We played better because BM picked the strongest balanced team. Our defence always seems to perform better when Warnock is slotted in at LB, Brown brought a grafters approach to the game which hindered Leicester and Varney put in a hard working shift with Mccormack that stopped their defence from playing with comfort.
The bad part of the team was the wingers. Warnock and Byram made more dribbles and put more crosses in to the box than Kebe and Stewart. Think Stewart needs a couple of weeks bulking up as he is either too light weight or just can't be bothered as he doesn't do anything with or without the ball.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Can't really say it was unfair we lost. Unlucky maybe, but not unfair. At the end of the day we didn't take our chances, its our fault! Good to see a much improved performance though. I'd have taken 0-1 at the start of the day. No one would really have expected us to win, so to loose as we did hopefully will have given the boys a big boost for the next game. MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jan 2014 17:40:36
it takes time for the players to get used to the moves of each other and sometimes even getting in each others ways but i'm sure both wingers will come good

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jan 2014 09:58:03
Danny Graham should be a prime target for lufc. He scored for fun in our league and is the kind of striker we are looking for.

Hull just signed two new strikers, and Mcdermott said when he signed Stewart that he has a great relationship with Bruce.

He hasn't really cut it in the prem and I think he'd be available for the right price. This could be a massive signing for us if we can pull it off

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He was awful the last time he played for Leeds. No thanks

Crmd

Agree0 Disagree0

So was Adam Johnson but look at him now, you really think clubs would lend those players out if they were ready for first team cation with them. even beckham, Ramsey etc have been out on loan. stupid comment

Agree0 Disagree0

To be fair to Danny Graham didn't Blackwell play him wide when we had him?

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jan 2014 09:19:26
Brian is the man. Yesterday was much improved. It should have been 4-0 at half time. That is not the manager's fault. Judge McDermott once he has cleared Warnock's dead wood. MOT

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Spot on mate

Agree0 Disagree0

But the majority of yesterdays starting XI were from Warnock's period in charge. Only Stewart and Kebe were signed by BMcD. You are not making sense as he had Murphy and Wootton on the bench and used neither.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree .mcallister and Grayson done the job with both hands tied behind their backs, so far mcd has done it with one hand tied behind his back . when he gets rid of those he does not want and brings a few in I think we will be fine . if by a miracle e go up this year great but I think we will be better next year .

Agree0 Disagree0

If you look at the team yesterday BM signings were all dropped except the 2 new wingers and as you say the Warnock dead wood replaced them, so who is actually dead wood?

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you really even need to ask who's is the deadwood its obviously warnocks to top it of I went yesterday and we had fans saying micheal brown did this and that shame he only does it once every 6 month he should be no where near the team at 37 its time to look to the future.

Agree0 Disagree0

Zak, Murphy, Wooton, Hunt, all BM signings all dropped and have any of them had a stand out performance?
Reinstated on Saturday Warnocks Brown, Warnock, Varney, and an improved performance!so once again who is the dead wood your obviously thick!

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jan 2014 08:51:46
Franck Moussa, attacking, goalscoring midfielder from Coventry could be one of those hidden gems from league 1. I'm sure if we don't try someone else soon will. Out of contract in the summer. I hope he is one of the pre-contract agreements BMD talked about.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Scored a bag load of wonder goals, scored a 35 yrd volley yday . Yes please. 24 is a good age

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes please. I presume the pre-contract is probably Tommy Rowe anyway.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jan 2014 08:43:25
Brown for me was excellent yesterday and deserves a run of games, he typifies want we want from a Leeds player commitment. I know he may get booked a bit too often but 10 more like him every week we wouldn't be moaning .
Dougie

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree, he puts a little fear into the opposition too with his full hearted (slightly dirty) tackles

Agree0 Disagree0

If Michael Brown played like that every game there would be no question of him not being in team. At his age can he do it every game?

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jan 2014 03:31:36
Ed, please put this on banter and for serious discussion. There's clearly delay with TO approval and that's obviously affecting our transfer dealings. We've missed out on players we would normally go for and get but it's a problem when a fee is involved. Question. Does anyone know the reason or reasons for the hold up in approval? Does it have anything to do with past regimes? Is someone failing the fit and proper test?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Players we would normally go for and get.? Haha

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Jan 2014 23:33:38
Im getting a bit worried about comments made by bmd such as this is the kind of team set up he wanted to play. Well bmd if you hadn't of signed hunt(waste of money) due to injury then we cudve signed a winger instead & played byram on the other wing seen as he pushed him up there later in the game. There u go bmd 4-4-2. We cudve played this formation a lot sooner instead of giving his mate hunt a pay cheque. Hey wot do I know i'm only a girl.

we could of just played white on the left instead of sending him out on loan.

Agree0 Disagree0

White is not good enough. Every now and then it feels like a good idea to play him. When at left back, he can't tackle, his positional play is appalling and he goes missing, then he gets put on the Wing, unfortunately he can't pass, or cross a ball. I'm afraid he's League One fodder at best.

Agree0 Disagree0

League one at best is he really did you not seem him under grayson he was are best player that season and if he was that bad then how did he manage to have bale and lennon in his pocket oh yeah and the ox the year before against arsenal.

Agree0 Disagree0

You ever seen White play? (live & not on Sky in a one off cup game?)
