The thing that Marcelo did wrong was that he sent the wrong person to observe Derby.

He should have sent Emma down to stand by the fence and then the other bloke could have done anything and gone anywhere he wanted.

No one would have noticed or cared.

First for having a go at the ref (which Pontus does a lot) .
To be fair inside the ground the 2nd looked like he had a little tug on the guys shirt running through as he fell but looking at replays online you canā€™t see that at all.

Agree1 Disagree0

20 Jan 2019 12:58:01
Alaw. Had ten looks at this now, had they scored I think the ref would have left it, as they didnā€™t he book him. for me not a booking seen more and not given even a free kick, still itā€™s done now move on bring the next one and let win. [.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jan 2019 17:13:01
Maybe so whiteman, tbf a didn't think we deserved anything from the game, Shawcross and Williams didnā€™t give Roofe an inch and he was crying out for some help up top a long time before Robertsā€™ came on, Harrison was very poor again. i see biesla quote we could have won the game, I have to disagree and say for all the ball we had we never looked like scoring. quick look at the 2 benches yesterday tells you where we are at the moment, we desperately need Bamford and Brown back in the squad.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jan 2019 19:47:56
My problem with losing Pontus for a few games is not so much that we will not have him (although this is not good) but that the temptation will be to bring KP back as a defender to replace him. I was very much looking forward to him returning to that defensive midfielder role. We have a much better shape when he is performing there.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

19 Jan 2019 20:07:16
1 game isnā€™t it?

Agree2 Disagree0

19 Jan 2019 20:14:50
My problem with losing Pontius for a few games is it is unnecessary. He should not be pushing stewards around and telling them to fun off. A stupid ban.

Agree3 Disagree0

19 Jan 2019 21:19:48
Should be 1 game but when ya push the stewards about and tell em to go forth, well the efl will make an example on top of the 5h1t that's going off at moment.

At least the Blunts have lost so something good out of the day. I watched the game and I have to say every time I see Mc Burnnie he has a good game. He might not be everybody's cup of tea, but he puts himself about and I bet he is hard to play against. As well as we are doing, I wouldn't mind such as him in the squad to give us a different option, especially when we are up against teams like Stoke were today.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jan 2019 17:18:47
An off day fot too many today. Seems to me we are missing an on form Saiz. If Pablo is off form then there is no source of tricks, flicks and inch perfect thro ball. The strikers didn't have much of a chance up against a back 5 with a screen of 3 in front at times. Against that we will always have 80% posession but it all stops against the brick wall of a defence. I would also suggest that some of the outfield players be given the order to shoot on sight. If nothing else there is always the chance of deflections.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

19 Jan 2019 18:05:58
How often did we have an on-form Saiz though? No excuses the Stoke manager must have spied on us and got his tactics spot on.

Saiz hasnā€™t played since the sun went in and weā€™ve done ok.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

19 Jan 2019 17:15:09
Have to agree with that Danum. Stoke weren't great, but were organised and defended well. We struggled to break them down. A few not on it today and we didn't have too much to change it on the bench. Would like to see us bring in a big Centre Forward just to give us an option when like Stoke today we are up against a couple of big Centre Backs. Harsh red for Pontus, Ref didn't give us any 50-50s either. Need to get back at it next week.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jan 2019 17:15:35
Todayā€™s performance was how I thought we might play last week! Perhaps it was a delayed reaction!

That been said, still got back to 1-2, even with 10 men and a couple of dodgy ref decisions.

Need Bamford and Brown available as options as quickly as possible or someone else!

Still top, so donā€™t look back, look forward.

Great management thinking from the 11 clubs! Let's give Bielsa and his coaching team more ammunition to wind the players up and get them motivated. No one learnt from Fat Frank? All of this stuff just reinforces the Team Leeds mentality. Every game now gives the players the opportunity to stick two fingers up at the authorities and the opponents . Let's get hold of the list of 11 and pin it up in the changing room wall. Bring them on!

Says more about the 11 clubs than ourselves. Clements the EFL expert just saying on the BBC in wolves Leicester half time.
ā€œLeeds fans worry not, no rule has been broken here, the only potential breach is a breach of Championship ā€œgoodwill charterā€ and even that is completely subjective. Clements believes it may lead to a new rule or gentlemanā€™s agreement but thatā€™s it.

EFL also said they will not confirm they will respond to the 11 clubs wishes in addition to what they are already investigating. Wonder how many of that 11 are in breach of FFP?

3-1 to us today, all this spite will just strengthen the teams siege mentality.

Almost immediately after the whistle had blown v Brentford, Pontus Jansson, still brimming with adrenalin, was interviewed on the pitch by SKY and accused the referee of robbery, as he felt his decisions had cost his team the result they deserved. The FA felt he had questioned the integrity of the ref. and so fined him Ā£1000 and banned him for one match, thereby extending the responsibility (and their punishment) for his words to the football club he played for. He had admitted saying the words.

I was looking through the freebie Times and Sun yesterday in a cafe and inside the back pages, saw that Troy Deeney, the Watford captain, had been fined Ā£20,000. This was due to his comments after the match v Bournemouth where, a little while after the match, when he'd had chance to calm down a bit, he accused the referee of bottling it. So, basically saying the decision maker hadn't had the moral courage to make certain decisions and that had cost his team the result he thought they deserved. The FA thought he'd questioned the integrity of the referee - and he agreed with them. They didn't see fit to ban him though, thereby not extending responsibility (and their punishment) to the football club he played for as, er, their captain.

It's a funny old game.

Report about Didi Hamanns thoughts in spygate today -
Hamann believes the criticism Bielsa has received is unjust and says Lampard has 'lost the plot' with his condemnation of Leeds.

Hamann said: "The whole thing's ludicrous and Frank Lampard - who I have the utmost respect for - has lost the plot with his condemnation of Leeds.

"I remember when (Werder) Bremen flew a drone over a Hoffenheim training session.

At Melwood, when I was with Liverpool, there used to be any number of kids standing on bins behind a wall watching us train.

By making his views known prior to the commencement let alone conclusion of the EFL investigation, he must surely have disqualified himself from input, as his position is predetermined and having such a person on the body deciding guilt or innocence and any punishment is contrary to the principals of natural justice and common law.
