Right, is it me, or does Jason Pearce look an awful lot like Neil from the imbetweeners, they could be the same people, just think have u ever seen them in the same room??

{Ed013's Note - You should see Jason dancing ;-)

Fail saying that MC was behind the Adryan thing being named to start then dropped.

Now we are always going to get this sort of thing with MC in charge, however we don't need to make it easy for the press just to print stuff about us so we need to get our team sheets right. Doesn't look good at our end and in this case if it is right then that would cause me problems as it is making us, Leeds Utd look unprofessional.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Totally agree DG
We will never know what happened, and to be honest it doesn't really matter - but it was a farce and shouldn't be allowed to happen again

Not managed to get to any games yet this season due to work commitments and distance, but coming up next weekend for the Wolves match. Desperate to beat them as I work in Wolves and they hate us!
Anyway, that's by the by.
The point of my post is this.

Ok we now have financial stability, but have we actually made ANY progress since the last few seasons?
We are currently in exactly the same position as last year and the year before with again a minus goal difference!

So what I want to know is
ARE WE ACTUALLY ANY BETTER as I haven't seen us much this year.

Also on Warnock. I know people hated him, but I always thought he was ok. Makes you wonder though, he's at palace in the PL now and they aren't doing to bad. would things have been different if he had stayed and he worked with Cellino. We will never know.

cheers

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We look better on the ball more confident. Due to virtual complete overhaul of midfield
Playing 2 defensive atm for my liking. We could have killed rotherham off with diff tactics. I don't mind warnock but would say we should target a new leftback at end of season. I did think he was slow to react to their 1st goal. Overall I think we r moving in right direction.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks up and downs.
I was actually meaning Neil Warnock.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we are in a far better position than this time last year. we are still a team in transition but as a whole the football is good to watch. Iwas a little disappointed we didn't finish off Rotherham first half as we completely dominated them. Second half we didn't show up.
With regards to Neil Warnock, its open to debate, but I think he was sold a dummy by Bates, and what he was promised didn't materialise.
That was then, we are where we are, the future is looking good. MT

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol Ben, there were a couple of clues in there

Agree0 Disagree0

Ben
Personally I think we are in a better position, it's hard to evaluate as when warnock was in charge we had limited resources etc??

Agree0 Disagree0

Yep. We play better. Have better players. Just need better game plan and maybe a bit more confidence. Warnock??! Are u mad. The man is an animal. Worst manager leeds have had. A disgraceful human being!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ben, I think we are (potentially) better than we have been for many a year. Just need to see if the players can gel and start to have some consistency. The game against Huddersfield was pretty awesome, but we haven't managed to replicate it (yet)

Agree0 Disagree0

Got wrapped up in my post game emotion still ben. Cheers

Looks like the next four games will be tough. But I think our game is more suited to playing against better teams ie teams that start the game thinking they are better than us meaning they don't need to jump on every player on the ball to stop us from playing which will allow us the space to play our game .
Sorry a bit long winded that.
It's good to see a few more positive posts two days on from Rotherham defeat. I for one haven't felt this good /positive /optimistic since the early days of Ridsdale & O'leary

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree danum, I think our players and style of play at the moment are just as likely do do well against the better teams as the weaker teams we've lost to. Whether that means we'll do well in the next few games, or lose to them as well remains to be seen

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Oct 2014 12:01:58
seams to me we can pass the ball now but only in some areas when we get in there half it goes wrong loads of shorts passes until 30 yrds out then that's it last home game all play down right hand side nobody swith it and every time Wednesday took goal kick 20 players grouped together like school boy football still need striker but better than last two years so going forward can't afford to lose to many more games hard games coming up

I know that the appeal for Leeds Utd stretches far & wide so just for interest's sake am wondering where we're all coming from (exept BW that's obvious!). I'm from nr Preston, so where we from guys & gals?

Degsy
From Rotherham booo (played for Rotherham/Barnsley boys and went to spurs age 15 compound fracture of leg ended that, got paid playing non-league afterwards and still play now @ 50yrs young lol.
I worked all over uk now working in Ireland and pay a vicious amount of money for nearly every home match, odd away match but time & money limits that mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm near you degsy, warrington way.
All mates are mancs or scousers, I used to get lots of stick from them but now they just feel sorry for leeds and want us back in the prem.

Agree0 Disagree0

I was born on the Yorkshire dales, my father was a cole miner and my mother a whippet. my earliest memories are walking over the foggy hills chasing sheep, goats and drunk people from Harrogate and then taking the long and perilis walk over snowy ground to eland road I also make a yearly pilgramige to scouseland to pay homage to Henderson my personal god. no born five minutes from Millwall's den, use to play for Orient and now coach a little. first person to throw up in new den (well pleased with that) and get stick from abuse to threats to spat at for walking round millwall territory in leeds shirt and wouldn't have it any other way

Watching goals on Sunday and it seems like di canio is saying everything that cellino would want to hear. He talked about him calling himself a coach and not a manager, he says it doesn't matter which league the club is in, and also he likes to take charge of a project. Seems like when darko goes next month, we may get di canio
MOT

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Please God NO, he would be a disaster imo. If Darko goes I should think Redders will be given the job

Agree0 Disagree0

I think he'd be a great appointment, and I think darkos got to win 2 if the next 3 to avoid the sack

Agree0 Disagree0

Well MC seems to have an eye for a good player but bad or wrong coach so it will proably happen. didn't he do ok when first at sunderland though then it all went wrong? that said sunderland are poor team for prem so they should get beat more than they win. imagine MC anddi canio that would be funny to watch

We may have a worst win record now we aren't with hockaday but for me, at least we look like we're building on something. I think after we win our first game with darko we will win a few. He plays FOOTBALL and when we do start winning they'll be better wins that we are used to because the football will be class. It takes time but we've got a brand new team and manager and you might say redfern could do it but for all we know it couldve just been a bit of luck.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Mornin everybody peeps innit. Reality check time I think. Its been a chaotic few months, I seem to remember lots of posts saying people would be happy with a mid table finish at the start of the season, low expectations. Trouble is Redders got the lads playing and all of a sudden those expectations went sky high. Darko was on a loser which ever way, but we are playing a lot better more attractive football than we have for a long while. But for great goalkeeping we would have won our last two. It is coming together. If we are inside the top ten after christmas there is a squeek of a promotion prospect. Getting on the backs of Darko and the lads just ain't going to help one little bit. Keep the faith guys an gals MOT

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yes Vid, let's just wait and see. One thing certain, a lot more positives going on than a few months ago

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said vid ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said Vid I echo that thought. Changing coaches every 5 games is not the way forward. Neither is NR prior to those few wins his record was dreadful.

Darko will sort it out he is not a person keep the faith we play good football just a bit naive at times but that is to be expected tbh.

Agree0 Disagree0

We shall see and as I have said before if I am wrong I will happily say I am wrong (did it once on here but don't happen often as I am often right) I think darko is ok but wong fit and can not see five years changing that we shall see and as leeds fan hope I am wrong, I was wrong about hockaday wasn't I. oh wait. no, no I wsnt

Agree0 Disagree0

That's the wonder of football we don't need a reality check football is about dreaming evey year leeds are going up I my head (crazy place to be mind). look at saints, Rotherham, hull, palace, stoke. teams overachive all the time and its aout time leeds did. we should be a prem club sadly our fans due to disappointment have started to accpect less than what should be acceptable

Agree0 Disagree0

The point is that we are in a better position to go forwards now than we have been in a decade, Everything has to be right from owner to groundsman. But because we have been so starved of success we crave it so more and of course are impatient. We are only 4 games into the Darko tenure but we have the players and the set up, the signs are good. I believe we can only improve, but especially in this league, its going to be gradual.

Agree0 Disagree0

Trouble is vid, not many on here prepared to accept gradual. I'll happily accept a gradual improvement over the next few seasons as we enter and climb up the premiership

Agree0 Disagree0

Still not convinced with the new coach/manager (just in case Ed or BM reading ha ha ha) However would I be correct in thinking Wackaday had a better win rate!! Now that is a worrying thought!!!!! MOT

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree
Gman very worrying but what do we do sack him after 4 games, then sack the next coach if he don't win after 4 games??
Xmas then judge IMO

Agree0 Disagree0

Ditto to Andy. None of us are happy, but got to give him until Christmas

Agree0 Disagree0

Whackadays win was lucky. darko has been unlucky. that said there are two schools of thought some think give it time it might work. I personally think every game is points lost, why waste time when problem to me is easy to see. if redders can win why can others. hate the style of play and hate that darko made comment about having to change style to get wins at sturm. I am all fo quick turn overs when the problem seems to be a pattern or style of play. then if I knew this I wouldn't of gone for the bloke. I'd of said to redders while this is still working out job is yours to me that seemed most sensisble thing. Next manager please be from English football and please have got a team promoted lots of their so MC get one. and for the record I liked Warnock and mcdermot and think with this team they might of took us up but their teams were very weak. I love to call for managers heads but never called for either of theirs and think Warnock didwonders to keep us in league with money and squad he had

Agree0 Disagree0

BW I may be wrong but according to your recent 5 posts this was your comment 4 weeks ago logged into rumours!!!

8.) Just read up on the guy. bit mixed but happy to give a chance. for a start he has managed in leagues and not none leauge. He has saved teams from rleigation and led one team to a record points haul and home wins so not all bad. putting two and two together it seems he starts well and then is later sacked once the teams platto (almost a victim of his success which we have all seen a lot). don't know much and what I have seen is mixed but read things that look promoising or at least potential to be decent/good. will give this guy a chance (for now)

Bermondsey White

Agree0 Disagree0

Game, set and match Andy!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed003's Note - BW is having what we call a 'short break' so he has no opportunity to reply so this is the end of the thread and a great chance to remind people constant pestering/trying to wind people up isn't banter it is just annoying shite.}

18 Oct 2014 23:19:15
to ed01 saying all coaches and managers (they are the same bloody thing) need time, and to all saying darko needs time, everyone should get three months etc. two words Ronald Koeman. he took a team which was in a mini crisis with best players leaving and made them better, he did not need time, mourino won league in first season as did the man city manager. good players, coaches and mangers do not need time if good enough, sometimes great/good players do not suit certian styles or leagues (diego forlan springs and veron to a certain extent) this does not make them poor it makes them unsuitable and no amount of time can fix that forlan and veron never shone as they were never right. if something doesn't work it never will

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - if you don't know the difference between coaching and managing, or the difference between a coach and a manager, then you are not worth the effort of discussing this with. You never listen to anyone else and always think you know better, even though you clearly know nothing about the bloody game! You are too busy telling everyone what you think to bother reading what anyone else thinks. You are wasting everyone's time with this crap and it is boring. You won't read my reply anyway, you will just make up more crap like you did here and not take any notice of what anyone tells you. It is pointless trying to talk to opinionated people like you. I never said anything like what you said I did, so learn to read and stop shoving your opinions down everyone's throat for a bit.}

19 Oct 2014 07:16:35
Ed 001, ouch!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - sorry, just fed up of people not reading what is said and making up crap about what I said. If they can't be bothered to take the time to read and understand what is written to them, then it becomes a waste of time having a discussion at all. I can't be bothered with someone who just shouts down any opinion that isn't the same as their own. Especially when they haven't even taken the time to understand what the other opinion actually is!}

ED01
I upset a few people on this site because I say what I feel and expect everyone to express there own feelings.
I might tell someone they are wrong in a post and his next post I agree with him, I don't mean NO harm to anyone but say as I feel. (Isn't that what the sites about and makes it click)

Last night I nearly walked away from the site, I don't mind being proved wrong and would admit something if I was wrong but someone posting things I DID NOT say is out of order, bang out of order.
I like and if you look back agree with some of his posts but making stuff up about what other posters have apparently said is WRONG.

ED
Managers needing time 3 words.

Rant over but had to get it of my chest ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't worry Ed, BW loves winding people up. He's probably laughing his tits off that he's got under your skin

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - he never got under my skin, I just don't want to waste my time discussing something when he is not reading what anyone else is putting. It is not a discussion then, it is one person trying to shout louder than everyone else and drown them out.}

Ahhhahhaha.ok calm down calm down (said in Harry Endfeild Scouse voice). True I love winding people up I don mean a lot of what I say on this site as it is called banter not facts. I do listen to what people say I saw your point on Steve Clarke did I not. I do not see the difference between head coach and manager to me two people do same job under different name maybe I am just old school. As for not listning mate you need to take alook at yourself and some of your old comments on the leeds page about Henderson (Who you somehow managed to bring up then again every post you seemed to turn to Liverpool) you then suggest swauz wasn't as important to Liverpool as the demi god Henderson which explains why you are doing so well this year HH. also don't rant and then say you ain't bother that's like me saying Hockaday well he didn't bother me HAHAHHAA. sure you won't post this in case you look bit silly of if you do you will rant and then say like am I bo'vered? . Finally most people agree with most of what I say most of the time an I do listen. my main points on here were about hock I was right, now I think darko should go time will see if I am right again. Much love to my scouse brother and all hail Henderson the Demi god wonder player

Agree0 Disagree0

And andy come omate your 50 years old. I nearly walked away from site. don't take what I say seriously let alone to heart I mean very little what I say. you think managers need time I think I can see into future and see darko will never work. don't lose sleep over me and my big gob. so we disagree sometimes there is no right and wrong sometimes there is. that said over the hock bermonsey 1 andy 0. let's see if darko gets you an equaliser. also I have taken some major stick on here you calling my opinions pathetic is one of them. but water off a ducks back. we all love ame club and all passionate about football so we disagree and so I love to wind people up wouldn't worry about that

Agree0 Disagree0

Oi BW, don't even think of walking away - otherwise my posts will simply become "I agree Andy"
But just a thought BW. When Darko is given the boot, what about trying the Hock again? At least now he's a name we have all heard of, and I'm sure he will have learnt from his mistakes the first time round. Worth a punt?

Agree0 Disagree0

Speedy
Winding people up I can take and having a laugh and a giggle afterwards (fair play) but writing LIES about what someone else has said is OUT OF ORDER.
Im guessing that's why the post was removed yesterday and so it should have been otherwise i'd be a going to i'm afraid.

I think I must have missed the post(s) that caused the kerfuffle, so I'll keep my nose out of this discussion
