I went through the same ritual before every Leeds game and still at the age of 53 going to Elland Road is still a buzz that makes the hairsbrise on the back of my neck but then I walked into ER and waited for the atmosphere to build reaching a crechendo as marching on together is belted out by a frantic and worshipping crowd except this time there wasn no atmosphere and no crechendo and even the kop where i always stand was out sung by the south
Stand is this what have been reduced to because our players can't even inspire us to raise our voices I never thought I would see the day but I have and I hate it!

How about we stop moaning for a moment? This season is written off, we aren't getting promoted and god help us up there of we do, fact of the matter is NW has only had muck to work with and hasnt had chance to spend, he hasn't panic bought and wasted valuable wages as SG did and the two players he brought in have made the difference between winning and losing, next season we are in promotion contention without a doubt, NW knows what he's doing so let's help him out with some positivity, MOT

I don't care anyway. The lad is massively overrated by

Agree3 Disagree1

I don't care anyway. The lad is massively overrated by many. He also appears to rate himself very highly. What's with the turned up collar nonsense?

Turn your collar down son and start getting some blood on your boots.

If we need to sell anyone to finance NW's squad rebuilding, this lad would be top of my list - assuming anyone actually wants to spend money on him.

I'm sorry if this upsets anyone but I'm entitled to my opinion. Come on, other than having a decent first few games and producing a bolt from the blue at Leicester, has he really been anything other than ordinary?

We can and must find better than him.

Agree5 Disagree2

He's one of our better players, he carried the team in the early part of the season. this is his first full senior season and he hasn't had any breaks.

Agree3 Disagree3

I agree with first post, he looked bright early in season but maybe now hes showing his true colours. If a million offer came in id snap there hands off.

Agree2 Disagree2

Exactly, it's his first full season so you'd think he'd be showing a little more endeavour.

I don't get leeds fans atm your all slating lonergan white lees etc etc and if they get sold you start blaming the ambition of the club, NW WON'T EVER WIN WITH YOU LOT, i bet by the end of the year after all the slating becchio has gotten he will get sold to like derby and then you'll slate bates because another good player has gone, i remember how everyone hated johnson and now he is a major part of norwich's team.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

I never hated johnson i thought he was quality, becchios been massively out of sorts due to his injury, its a shame because he was great last season, lonergans a cracking keeper, youd realise what wed miss without him, Lees is still young so he can improve, he gets outmuscled a fair bit, same as white, still time to improve in pre-season

aidy white let him go just when you think he,s going to do something down the wing he turns back on himself and breaks the attack down no idea in the last ten yards

Believable2 Unbelievable2

I agree but I think that is because he is a left back and not a winger. As a left back he knows exactly what is expected of him but as a winger he seems a little clueless. Put him back to left-back and play Webber in front of him. Robinson hasn't exactly excelled at left-back.

I've attended 20 games this season a mixture of home and away, what ever fits round work really,yesterday's atmosphere just about summed the season up POOR, even when the Watford fans taunted us with "do you remember 3-0" the kop didn't even reply., from the players performance it showed that they had accepted this season is over and that some of them won't be pulling on a Leeds shirt again.next season doesn't start until august 18th of which gives Warnock 4 and 1/2 months to get rid of the carp and get some decent players in.. For me this season can't end quick enough. {Ed013's Note - The Kop couldn't hear the Watford fans! I agree though, the atmosphere was poor, but I blame the team for not giving the fans anything to shout about}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Your right ed.. Let's hope the pre season comings and goings give the fans something to wet there appetite .. Elland Road needs to reinstate itself as a place were other teams fear to tread.

We need a complete re-vamp of the squad next season. Just get rid of snodgrass, i would snap the hand off of any team wanting to pay a riduclous 6-8 mill for him. Becchio is just past it now not good enough at all. Get rid of players like Bruce, O'Dea, Connolly, Paynter, Nunez, Forsell, Varynen, M.Taylor, Bromby. Kisnorbo, Brown. Give Somma a go aswekk next season can't be any worse.

Some good players out of contract that could be considered:

Jerome Thomas - WBA
Sam Ricketts - Bolton
Steven Reid - WBA
Stephen Kelly - Fulham
Kemy Agustien - Swansea
Peter Lovenkrands - Newcastle
Ferrie Bodde - Swansea
Simeon Jackson - Norwich
Akos Buzsaky - QPR
Michael Kightly - Wolves

Believable2 Unbelievable2

I would be excited to see the majority of those guys at Leeds.

Agree2 Disagree2

Becchio past it at 29??. Put a decent team around him and he'll score goals in this division.

Agree2 Disagree2

Jerome thomas is over rated and carp

I really don't get it. No really......

Surely you can't play connolly at right back, and then play Aidy White in front of him. Since when was White a right winger? Connolly isn't good enough, we all know that, but you can play a left back / midfielder in front of him, it will leave connolly isolated all the time. Lees would have been better at right back, and Snodgrass has regularly played on the right so would have been a better option in front of him. If not, then give Rogers a chance out there on the wing (I could see him giving Harte the runaround at Reading next Friday). Also, I seem to remember Thompson doing quite well at RB when he was called upon, what would have been wrong with that, and then keeping Lees in the middle?!?

I also agree with people talking about Becchio's lack of quality. I like the guy, and to be fair, he always puts the effort in, but his head does seem to drop rather easilly, and his touch seems to be off. It might be a confidence thing. I can't wait to see Somma back in that position, and until then, I agree that some of the young guns should be given a chance, albeit, not until the chance of promotion has 'completely' gone for this season.

Oh and Warnock, for me, is the chap to turn the fortunes of the side around, although not entirely with the current crop of players. He knows how to get a team out of this division, and he'll know the type of players we need. Let's pray that Bates backs him over the summer in the transfer market, then the failed promotion push from this season might just become a proper push next season. Until then, we need to try and finish the season on a high, and to do that we need to pick the players who will put 100% in regardless of the result, and who want to play for the shirt. Warnock knows who won't be here next season, so if they won't be here, we can't move forward if we keep playing them.

A couple of days ago people were slagging off Ian Harte.. Seems he had another excellent game yesterday and tucked away a nice penalty. Another Grayson mistake not taking him when we had the chance.
And why do people rate Kilkenny? He was shocking! Just like the 11 we had on the pitch against Watford.
I paid alot of money to play on the Elland road turf a few years ago and it was one of the proudest moments of my life (and I scored a penalty) Why can't these overpaid idiots realize what is happening in their lives and start giving a s...

Not one leeds fans can now say that connolly is good enough to play for our club he is league one standard at best

Believable6 Unbelievable1

Anyone who doesnt and hasnt known this for 2 years as never seen us play!!

Agree4 Disagree1

Well at least Warnock has had a chance to see how carp he is so that he can now rule him out from staying. I say he can go back to Liverpool and play for TranmereLiverpool as that's his level.

Agree0 Disagree1

Why pick on Connolly all the time? There's plenty more as bad!

Agree2 Disagree0

Connolly isn't brilliant but he is no worse than most of the others. His main problem, other than being of low average ability, is that he gives up when he is left isolated. eg With McCormack in front of him at Barnsley and White at others (esp Watford).

That's a shocking indictment of our footballers can anyone on here imagine if we were talented enough to play professional football why we wouldn't want to ply our skill in the top division of world football. Yet we appear to have a team who don't want to even consider the notion. Don Revie would be turning in his grave.
