if this becomes reality this takeover ed i hope we got a list of the players who didnt think we were big enough for their egos cos there will bea lot of carp players getting on bandwagon saying they have always dreamed of playing for leeds !! mot nicky bee {Ed013's Note - Of course, but we cant fault the one's that went to the Premier League to better their careers}

Hope all this talk of takeover really does happen for us. I really hope that all those shirt doggers like Howson, Johnson, kylkenny, Gradel even beckford, that didn't give it a second thought when jumping ship. Howson is a leeds fan but i know if i was playing for my own club, i would want to be remembered and loved by them. Instead he thought i'll jump up to the prem and earn more money, i would of understood if he'ld of been 27-28 years old. So don't care what people say, thats showing your true colours.

Now they will watch the mighty Leeds become a power again, marching there way to the championship trophy. While some of them watching there manager leave a sinking ship( Lambert).

So lets not look back at old players and lets look forwards to the new up and coming players. As the old saying goes, you dont know what you've got, until its gone. So all you sell outs can watch and learn.

Theres no point missing out on a chance to play prem league football for any reason what so ever . better wages is a big factor but chance of playing with the best of the best week in week out is a bigger factor in my opinion and if the club as no ambition why stay and maybe have a poor season performance/injury what ever and then they miss that chance . they would of kicked themselves for the rest of there lives.

Howson will play 3 years with Norwich and move on a free back to Leeds. Just a feeling I have.

can someone just buy leedsunited now please and give us a nice 10 million to splash cus theirs players such as beckford, dj ,cambell, phillips, ince,snodgrass,wiv such a attackin force we would easily be promoted next season and with the defence sorted COME ON U LEEDS LEEDS LEEDS

Your right ed but if you look at original poster's comment he is asking for someone to give 10mill to spend, so effectively asking for 4mill too much.

There must be a loophole in the 6mil maximum there always find ways round it, could a fee be paid in installments? So say if Leicester bought matt mills this season for 5million instead of last then they could only spend just 1 more million? And also doesn't that mean we could spend 9.5million after club profit of 3.5 million last season? {Ed013's Note - Always a way around things, back handers etc}

The new owners could do a Man City and sponsor the stadium - so theres no real cash problem in terms of transfers

Loving how the rumours of having 100% reliable sources that are telling them that bates and co are in talks with buyers but these reliable sources don't know any names/prices/dates or not telling us something we dont already know lol put a smile on my face these rubbish made up stories

My cousins aunties boyfriends son knows somebody who works for the dallas chronicle in dallas of all places,he says 100% its 2 oil baron brothers apparently minted there names are Bobby and J R sorry didnt give me a surname

I think it's rubbish that Leeds are getting taken over, and it looks like its going to happen this time and not just by a front for Bates either.

One of the fun things about this site was coming on the Leeds pages and seeing you all enthusiastic about the next season and that this is the year Bates would open his wallet, then have all that excitement dashed as the window closes and he hasn't spent a penny. Some of the comments and language towards KB where very funny (i've learnt lots of new ways to basically swear at someone while keeping it child friendly).

Seriously though I hope it does happen for you, your a big club and it would be nice to see a yorkshire club in the premiership again, hopefully soon joined by my club SWFC

Can I just take this opportunity to congratulate you on your teams promotion. Can I also be the first Leeds fan to say looking forward to the derbys & the 6 points we get from you will certainly improve our chances of returning to the Premier League.
Seriously though, good luck to you too. It would be nice to see as many Yorkshire teams as possible in the Premier League.

I agree with the above, though lets hope Leeds are at the top of that pile Lol

Hudds, Wednesdays, the Blades, Donny Rovers who ever they are you wanna see them do well to represent Yorkshire but Leeds needs to be on top!

The only team in yorkshire that matters is leeds why are the others more concerned with us rather than their own team
