McDermott has said that a deal has been made with cameron stewart and he will be signed in the summer thoughts good or bad?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed003's Note - you need to register and sign in.}

Not exactly a shattering signing! But aren't we obliged to sign him now?

Agree0 Disagree0

Is that 2 players - Cameron Diaz and Rod Stewart - anyway either or both would be a better signing than Kebe

Agree0 Disagree0

He hasn't shown enough bu thought he had signed till 2017 anyway?

I personally think he's worse than Kebe, but apparently my mate who works up at TA says he runs rings round the other players (mind you, that wouldn't be hard!)

Agree0 Disagree0

I actually think he could become a good player. I watched him closely against Donny and he seemed a bit overawed and scared to have a go at defenders, but if the training ground rumours are right he needs a coach who can instil the confidence to allow him to transfer that onto the match day pitch.

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely the Legend that is Eddie Gray is the man that Stewart should seek advice from.

Agree0 Disagree0

He would be a good player if the style of play was better. It is very hard for a winger, striker and centre mid to prosper when hoof ball is in place. Tat is why I am so impressed with mccormack this season

Agree0 Disagree0

I watched Stewart in a training session 5 weeks ago and he looked amazing, not making excuses for him but maybe it's a confidence thing on the pitch?

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Stewart has got quality but needs a good pre season to build confidence. MOT

Is anybody else getting the feeling that Cellino and Mcdermotts transfer plans may differ somewhat. McDermott has jut come out and said he wants players who have done it before whereas I get the feeling Cellino will target good foreign players with a blend of young potential. Does anyone know have they say down and talked plans yet?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

So who is it who is looking at these L1 & L2 players we are linked with?

Agree0 Disagree0

Bmd but I didn't say he wasn't looking at them. I just said he has come out and said he needs players who have been there and done it. My point is just that I don't think bmd and Cellino are going to have very similar transfer targets.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree! & I hope he doesn't sick of seeing Dross sign for Leeds!

Agree0 Disagree0

L1 & L2 I hope they bring a circle/square with them lol

Jimmy Kebe's loan spell with Leeds United has ended and he is now back with parent club Crystal Palace.

At Last!!. Kebe's gone back to Palace. What a waste of time and money he was

Finally Kebe being sent back. By the sounds of it he was just hanging on to him to play the last game of the season, which has meant nothing for about 3 week now. Appalling decision should of gone as soon as he was "injured"

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Just depends what the loan term agreement was, if we sent him back injured we might have to pay his wages until loan ends or he recovers I'm afraid ;(

Agree0 Disagree0

Really? Why would you agree to something like that? Madness.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well if you owned your own company would you pay one of your employees and send them back to work for one of your competitors FREE of charge?

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry il rephrase; why would you take somebody on on the basis that If they become completely useless you have to keep them on an pay then even if there not your employee seems a stupid thing to agree to.

Is there any more news on Cellino buying back Elland Road? In February he said he would demonstrate his seriousness by doing so. This must be our priority, because the rental agreement is crippling. As I understand it we are paying £15 million a year in rent and that rent increases each year by 3%. Do we still have a set buy back price Ed or is it now the open market price?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

15mil a year rent? don't be crazy the stadium isn't even worth that haha

Agree0 Disagree0

MC has now said he will buy back ER 'sometime' in 2014.

Agree0 Disagree0

Heard it was more like 3 mil per year rent and 15 mil to buy back?

Agree0 Disagree0

I've told you all many times till I'm blue in the face.
Massimo till today has done nothing regards buying ER or TA but it might change once he gets his feet under the table.
Jeff

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't understand why no one takes any notice of you Jeff, you're correct 50%of the time!

Agree0 Disagree0

CJS
You must be in a good mood 50% that's generous lol
I was told he enquired about ER and the price had shot up, he's told them what he's willing to pay and walked away.
He can spend/build a ground elsewhere if they don't budge on the price.

Has anybody given any thought to the idea that maybe he's waiting to sell Cagliari first before he splashes another big wedge of cash? i'd wager that's the plan guys.

Hi all. Does anyone know if there is a minutes silence planned for Anne McGuire?
I was one of many taught by her, ( one or two years ago now) and I think it would be fitting for us to reflect before the game. A true servant to the people of Leeds, shame there are not more like her, she will be missed.
I think some people in the football world could learn from the likes of Anne, honesty, integrity, professionalism and commitment to a cause. Rare qualities these days.

RIP

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Good call and good post. It would be a fitting tribute and maybe offer a crumb of comfort to her family who are obviously devastated. It makes you worry for your own children if this is the sort of society kids are growing up in these days. RIP

MM

Agree0 Disagree0

I think that would be a great idea and I hope someone at the club has thought about this or a fan as asked the club about doing this.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree brilliant post.
It would be a fitting tribute to a woman who I did not know but from what I'm told was an INCREDIBLE person who gave most of her life to teach/help others.

What a sad and cowardly world we are building, guns, knives etc. When I was young it was fists and a scuffle, afterwards a game of football And by the end of the day all friends again ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

This would certainly show the good and human side of our club and of the football fraternity.

Hi, its on o/s mark of respect on sat for the school teacher.
