Use our rumours form to send us leeds transfer rumours.

Good result today, SG did the right thing putting Lees and O'Dea at the back. They could form a good partnership.

On another note, we had Bannan on loan last year and he didn't really get a chance. He is playing really well for Villa at the minute with Sky Sports stating that he "pulled the strings" in their game today. If you remember last year all the villa fans were not happy he was allowed out on loan as he was playing in their 1st team. It's small details like that we need to iron out and we will be fine!

Believable3 Unbelievable3

What is your point exactly?

Agree3 Disagree2

I think what he is trying to say is that if we are taking players on loan then its surely not for just sitting on the bench and playing a role on the pitch for the team

Agree4 Disagree1

MY POINT is that we shouldn't take top quality players on loan and bench them. I also congratulated the team for a good result at the weekend. I bet whoever wrote " and whats your point exactly" is one of those moaners that love posting negative stuff on this site and calls for SG's head everytime we lose? Thought so........ Jog on div

East stand upper will now be open for future games, judging by today's attendance I can't see many pie and pints being sold up there.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

7 million spent on a part of the ground we don't open, money that could have gone on new players.

Agree5 Disagree1

Actually it couldn't have gone on new players. As I understand it the club borrowed the money for the east Stand development and presumably there's some kind of security in place. That kind of facility doesn't really exist for player acquisitions any more after the debacle of the Ridsdale regime.

Would be nice to see the Gradel/Schmeical/Delph money invested in the team though...

Agree3 Disagree0

Agreed, the money for the additional boxes and east stand redevelopment was borrowed and hasn't affected transfer budget.

I worked at lufc in the commercial dept not that long ago selling boxes and hospitality and I can assure everyone that they will be snapped up quickly, there is a huge demand from them, they are also used by businesses such as sponsors and local companies who can/do/will invest in the club - I know this for a fact having worked there. I also know that with prices charged, it will also pay for itself in the not too distant future - much quicker than what the lost seats do/did

Agree0 Disagree0

IT DIDN'T COST 7 MILLION! Do people not read!?

Keogh, Pugh, where's Barney McGrew.....

Nice to watch Leeds keep a clean sheet, and I'll settle for 1-0 every week....

Can't believe the game has been over almost 90 minutes and no negative posts on here, has everyone gone away due to the hot weather?????

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Absolute s**te second half-disgraced our past legends playing like that

Agree3 Disagree8

Poor comparison bud,the Revie side was a one off,the game isnt the same anymore, with what weve got were doing ok,well get there in the end,all weve got to do then is stay there.

Really pleased to win 1-0 today, just to get the clean sheet is a relief.

Can people tell me

a) How solid defensively we looked today
b) did we still look goog going forward
c) who were our best players
d) did Connolly merit his recall. I personally think we should have kept him at right back. He is a fair player at this level and Lees is clearly no centre back.

10 points from 12....... not bad.

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Lonergan saved us a few times, and the crossbar, but it's about time lady luck shined upon us.

Well done to the leeds team for winning, and winning with a clean sheet. Congrats to a team effort.

is that right? Bradley Johnson named in the provisional England squad? does everyone still think he's over rated?

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Explains how bad england are

Agree2 Disagree1

When England have the likes of Lampard still in the team and he has to sit on the bench at Chelsea, endorsed by the fact that Crouch ISN'T in the squad despite his form for Stoke, is it any wonder we have a crap national team managed by a FOREIGN manager, yet again??

Agree0 Disagree0

Good player if you ask me

Agree0 Disagree1

I agree definately overated

Agree0 Disagree0

Nothing wrong with having a foreign manager if he's the right manager. Do we really need xenophobes on this site?

Not sure any manager could do much with the England team right now and I doubt anyone with a better pedigree than Capello would want the job.

Agree1 Disagree0

I was pleased to see Bradley and Killa go but disappointed at how long it has taken to replace them. No Way that Bradley is good enough for Premier league never mind England!

The defence was a bit nervous for the last 10 mins, but they dug in and kept Portsmouth out, though O'Dea had a good game,as didLonergan.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Strange that nobody is knocking this post, perhaps they are all out at BBQs or something, and missed the game....

10 points from 12. Can we all start to get behind the team and stop the negative whinging.

Believable5 Unbelievable1

We ARE behind the team(and have been for A LONG TIME!)

Nice to see the whingers have nothing to gob off about today.....

Agree2 Disagree1

Do you call people who express articulate, reasonable, legitimate concerns about the team they support whingers? yes, you do. Stop trying to prove you are the best, most committed Leeds fan. Its sad

well done today Leeds. Great clean sheet.

Agree0 Disagree1

How have I tried to prove I am the best most committed fan?Don't think it is healthy for the team when the supporters call for sg's head etc, only said it is not bad 10/12. If we didn't have opinions we would not be here. But your bright enough to realise that!

Agree0 Disagree1

Well I agree that only complaining does the team no good. It certainly was a good day at the office yesterday. However, I do find it frustrating when people post things such as " no doubt the whingers will find something to complain about". The implication being that people whinge and complain for no reason. In fact, there has been real reasons for concern re transfer policy, defending, team selection etc. It is strange that when people have an opinion that does not appear positive they get called a whinger, even if it is realistic. But yes, it should be measured, constructive criticism. Not all this "taxi for SG" rubbish.

Agree2 Disagree0

Taxi for SG and pick up KB on your way out of Leeds :D

For a long time leeds fans have criticised the board for lack of readily available public information. For me its hardly surprising that the CEO hasn't previously given insight into the club given the knee-jerk negative reaction by a proportion of the leeds fan base. People need to appreciate that they have been given this information digest it and deal with it. Unfortunately the remarks on most websites will probably mean that we will go back to the days that we the fans are left in the dark. We need to remember we are a championship club, we have a sound budget, we are now run in a sensible fashion. How many academy players are in and around the first team. We should be happy that we are producing players that are not been sold off like before. If SG wants a squad with 9 defenders and 7 of them by nature are CB then you have to question his logic and what % of the wage budget is being taken by that, the defence has no balance square pegs in round holes hardly surprising the amount of goals we concede. Thanks harvey for the information even if it's not to everyone's taste. No doubt there will be unbalanced response to this post.

lees kisnorbo O'dea pugh
snodgrass howson clayton keogh
becchio mccormack

quite frankly LU need to get good commercial Manager. who will sort out long term contracts on the valuable assessts that LU have rather then leave it to December to talk to players about renewing their contracts-- why would they when -?? being contract free they can negotiate better contracts with their new clubs. Clearly SG hasnt got a clue about commercial matters like AW of Arsenal. Ed do you agree?? {Ed001's Note - it is not Grayson's place to negotiate contracts, the managers don't deal with that these days.}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Haven't you just decribed Mr Harveys job?

Agree1 Disagree0

Harvey isn't just a commercial manager he is the CEO, he is responsible for the day to day running of leeds. Perhaps they should appoint a commercial manager to relieve Harvey of his time. Contract negotiations are dependent on many factors, btw most championship clubs start contract negotiations when players get in the last year of contracts, leeds aren't the exception they are the norm.
