In the report for the u21's win over Barnsley a player called Folan is named now is he a youngster or is it Caleb Folan is anyone knows? Another player mentioned is Balmy now if this is Jeremy Balmy then Arsenal and Spurs were after him last year.
Just thought i'd post this not sure if its true but it could be.

Sorry, but this guy's got a point. The old fella isn't going to be turned by the opinions of less experienced, less successful armchair light-weights. Don't love him much myself; but I think he probably runs a business better than I could. And I'm really bloody clever. Just see how well our club comes out of the takeover. In 10 years we'll be looking upon Kenneth with a kindlier eye. PK

Bates is only a good business man at league 2 and 1 level as he cant afford to keep a club afloat at championship level anymore . if he was to stay on at the club we would probably be fighting relegation in the next few seasons and probably of gone into administration as even more fans would stay away .

I personally think Warnock is trying to play it down by saying he's bringing a squad player in. Why bring someone in at this stage that won't improve what we have. It doesn't make sense to me. Think there's more to this mystery striker than meets the eye.

To add a little depth to the squad. I wouldn't drop Becchio or Diouf at thr minute but would be good to have a quality back up to bring on around 70mins giving the lads some rest etc. doesn't mean Warnock is bringing in a match starter but hopefully do one with skill that can be an impact sub

Abit off topic... but this is Warnocks last year in his contract, what would happen if we didnt get promoted, can you see him staying? i think he will due to the takeover and wanting that one last huurah. On another note i would like to Lucas brought back as a coach/assistant under warnock in his last year to see if he can cut it as the manager!

Warnock has his own team much like every manager. Can't see him bringing Lucas in just because he is a club legend. I also think the chief said before about not wanting toget into management

Hello fellow LUFC fans.. I haven't been on the site for a few days and after reading all the posts, trying to catch up I have seen some interesting opinions and also some daft ones as you always get on here :) ...
For a start, the guy who posted that NW has enquired about Arshavin from Arsenal on loan... never going to happen while ever there is an hole in my a*se. Too much money in wages which Neil could/would use wisely on a few good Championship/Former Premiership players who will give us more squad depth...
The rumours about the takeover appear to have all started from a newspaper story.. How many times do these paper reporters actually get things right?? Truth is The takeover is going through with no problems and we will be in good hands, because the club and the new owners/investors are being very professional about it all and doing things in secret gives the papers nothing to go on other than making sh*t up. I swear to god reading the stuff in the papers makes me think that I could get a job as a football journalist for these papers.
Someone posted on here saying that the new owners commented that they would buy back Elland Road "eventually" and questioned their wealth saying if they can't afford to buy it now then they are not as rich as they make out and we are in trouble... Things are not always as straight forward as throwing a bag full of cash under someones nose to get what you want. I have a theory that Ken Bates wanted to stay on the board which is why the talks broke down last time as the new owners wanted him out totally.. But after Bates realised they weren't going to move on this, he still wanted to sell so went through with the deal... I personally think that one of Mr. Bates many companies he has owns ER and this is the only way he can stay envolved in LUFC at the minute by refusing to sell the ground to the new owners until he has made some more cash from it. There will more than likely be a clause in the takeover agreement that the new owners can buy the ground off him after a period of years.
I know as Leeds fans that we have had too many years now where we have had to survive on loan signings or free agents and now we have some cash to invest on our squad people want to see the likes of Arshavin, Walcott, Jenas, Shaun Wright Phillips and all the other big names that people have been linking us with.. (these are without doubt class players but would they really give us Leeds fans 110% commitment for our team and battle to get us promoted?? Or would they just want to play for Leeds and pick up the paycheck??)
I would much rather see Warnock go for experienced players who are not big names to get us where we belong... then bring in some big names when we are in the Premiership.
George Boyd, DJ Campbell, Jason Puncheon & Thomas Ince would be far better for us at this stage in our rebuilding plans in my opinion

Here here and well said. Think you have common sense in these quotes, plus the lesser players mentioned would be great for this up and coming club.

Top post! Most realistic thing i've read in ages on here. Duncan Castle is about as believable as my daughter, when she tells me she's got belly ache and carn't eat her tea, but still has room for sweets.
The man is a wannabee and seems to want to see LUFC fail. Everything that has happened over the last 4 months, Duncan Castle has had something bad to say on it. Which sums up reporting for me. Thats why we hardly hear any good things in the papers, it's all doom and gloom.
David Haigh is a life long Leeds fan and will want to see us more than anyone back in the prem. This is why people need to look past all the scare mongering and see we are about to see a new dawn.
SGT WARNOCKS BARMY ARMY!!

Reading all of the Beckford hype over the past few weeks, Im not shocked in anyway that NW has not moved for him. I dont think Beckford has the qualities, motivation or work rate that NW demands from a player. The fact that Beckford has chased the cash ever since leaving ER sums him up and I think NW has got him weighed up.
Great reuslt at the weekend.
Marching on !

We loved him in league 1 but knowone loves him above that league. I think he sold us out and left for nothing and we made him. Like people sat, it never works out with an ex second time round.

He didn't really sell us out ,he had no contract and felt he deserved to be at an higher level and with everton offering him a pre contract that fully turned his head in the jan transfers but he said if leeds wanted him to stay he would and left it to leeds to decide to take the cash from newcastle or keep him and get promoted.
for saying he chased the money that is wrong really as he was offered chance to play prem football which anyone would take and then he moved to Leicester because they was the only team that did offer to buy him from everton so he moved and his wages dropped

My thoughts late Sunday night. Sometimes the more determined can beat the more skilfull. We showed that Tuesday night. If the TO had gnu through prior to window closing and we had bought the players we dreamt of getting. Who's to say they would heve done a better job. Dioufy wouldn't have been here or Tonge maybe not even Rudy but the boss on a shoe string has done wonders. The champagne Charlies on 30 grand a week won't win this league. The ones with the most determination and a bit of luck on fitness will. A lot of the so called class players think all they have to do is turn up, the boss said it this crowd will forgive anything as long as you give 100% and no less. And he was right. I'm not concerned about Bates anymore I'm just massively proud of the boss and the lads. And fr those that disagree that's up to you but I think the lads know the majority of us our proud of them.
