I think the good fringe players are going to take their time and weigh up all the options, likewise the clubs might be waiting on who else could be coming and going before making some final decisions. Add to that a rightly picky coach, who doesn’t want to upset the balance and needs to see that each addition makes a Betty improvement! All in all not simple, would have been a lot easier if we had had a crap start and bad performances. Remember any new players will have to fit in the 11 or 18 and the knock on effect will inevitably be that some of the youngsters won’t get a chance. I think Bielsa knows what he wants and possibly who, but not easy to get or even sure they might be available yet. So last minute finger biting!

love MB but then again conte is pure class, like ranieri although he is hit and miss, not martinez for me, think he is one of the most overrated mangers in football and 6 out of ten at best. Prefer MB over Ranieri and martinez but hard to argue conte.

Does anyone else think that radz has made an error here? Bielsa might now be thinking that he was 2nd, 3rd or 4th choice and, don’t think he will, maybe start to get a little less motivated 🤔.

maybe with other lucas this is a great point but don't think MB is like that he will want to prove he was the best man, also doesn't say MB was not first choice just others in the mix.

why say that he would have paid £20m for Conte and then disclose that we pay Bielsa £3m which he shares with his backroom staff? needless and crass. disclosure totally inappropriate, as was mentioning that Raniera knocked us back hoping for an offer from the top flight. braone more, lips less.

To be honest, even though i am loving this bielsa leeds and think we are playing with enthusiasm and good football. i do not think that TC was actually that bad, just inexperienced. he played some good football at times its just he lost control of the players and the experience to move on or change it up. Heckingbottom however, well i think he was doomed from the off. not his players, players in bad form, and then sacked before he can do anything about it. i'm not saying he was good, but aalot of people saying tc this heck that when really it is literally bielsa is just a different gravy.

i agree regarding Hecky, think he proved he can do a good job at Barnsley, he was doomed lots of fans would not give him a chance, he had no window to bring in players and players he had were in poor form

disagree about TC, think he was tacticly inept, didn't understand football, didn't understand patters of play and had no idea unless everything went his way.

I saw the millwall game at ER followed by Cardiff next week two home games 9 goals conceeded. thoes two games showed me everything I think I needed to know about TC, boarderline useless and by far a lesser manager than most leeds fan in the ground because we could see what the problems were straight away.

A good manager might not get us up first year but should get us up!

simon grason was good but team sold under him
warnock is great but had no chance or time at leeds

that is about it although the current bloke ait too shabby.

As so we could have had a load of great managers.
None got us up the first season and none had the chance to do it in the second haha
Don't really think we had a great one until now though. Hopefully he manages it in first season.

Larry was the best one, had the team playing some nice football, unfortunately, Bates sold his team from under him. I'm convinced another season with nobody sold he would have got us promoted, but we'll never know thanks to uncle Ken.

agree stafford look at the team and the players if bates hadn't sold.

schielme, beckford, snograss, howson, delhp, jonshon, beccio, gradel, cook too mention a few all of whom were good and some even done it in the prem, that team with MC or rad as chairman would of gone up and stayed up. i do love uncle ken. Mind you same with warnock best ever manager at this level (on promotions) and we did not support him or give him a chance. still the longer we have had to wait the sweeter the return will be.

Only goes to show why Andrea was angry at the under performance of this ptetty much same players as last year and how he believed they were good enough! They obviously are good enough and only took a top class Coach to bring it out of them so savour Bielsa and Credit to the players for responding and proving Radz right MOT brothers.

DJ Don't believe we can arrive at your evaluation just yet. A tad premature. This time last year we were also top of the league. I also fail to see why Andrea would be angry at all. Wiedwald, the unknown TC, TC not playing the Polish Messi breeds much different results than Bielsa, a man of considerable football pedigree. If we are top 2 come October, then anger can set in if we screw up but no reason for anger at all. Bookmakers are rarely wrong - even with virtually same players they reduced our promotion odds because Bielsa reputation preceded him. TC was a bit of an unknown clueless dummy.

Absolutely staggering the way they suddenly collapsed last year after a flying start. TC couldn't change things up and Hecky fared even worse with them. I sincerely hope (and believe) that Bielsa is the real deal and we do not have the same drop off again this year. Being Leeds I am sure we will have ups and downs this year too, more ups than downs and a top two finish will do for me. MOT.

Bub really is the "real deal" as for top of the league after 7 games last season 6 out of our first 7 opponents finished in the bottom 8, we've already beat 2 of the preseason favourites, knuckled down against the bus markers and are looking far better than last season where, IMHO, we only played really well against Burton.

think TC was useless and agree with DJ MB has made the difference but also proven english recuritment (in terms of expereince) will also help.

good points one and all and yes, we fared really well at the beginning of last season because as luck would have it we played a load of carp teams. even they improved for the second time we played them. the team quickly lost faith with TC and their confidence went with it and after that the writing was on the wall. Heck never had a hope of shoring up those under confident players as his rep was just not big enough.

It was mainly do to the intellectual content of my posts, the amazing game and tactical assessment, superb humour and the fact that my opinion is always correct.
